Best of luck with Ninja Scroll, never owned the Urban Vision DVDs but I had always heard that the TV series sucked compared to the movie.

Quote:
These devious and handily-numbered alien invaders conquer, devour, and destroy every civilized world they see--

By joining their powers together, Ganger and Kantaro fuse the incredible power of a fightin', flyin' robot with the uncompromisingly savage, decisive intelligence of a middle schooler: Astroganger! With their powers combined, they'll save the world approximately twenty-six times!

I have to think that only Discotek would dare to roast their own properties like this Laughing

Just a clarification, City Hunter season one is 51 episodes long. Discotek actually released the first 26 episodes on February 25.

I hope City Hunter looks as good as the boxart makes it look. Maybe I should upgrade my old ADV sets.

Fun fact: Astroganger slightly beat out Mazinger Z as the first color giant robot anime in 1972 (Wikipedia says that it beat it by two months; I know, but what are you going to do?...).

It absolutely does. The picture quality is fantastic. I own the ADV sets and the Japanese remastered box set that came out in the mid-2000's and the DiscoTek blu-ray for Season 1 Part 1 looked better than both of those, IMO.

NJ: Ninja Scroll TV has a decent first half and a weak second half.
