The North American anime distributor Viz Media has announced that it has posted the first 13 episodes of the Inuyasha anime series on Apple's iTunes Store in the United States and Canada. The first episode is free until August 31. Viz has already put this adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga on the streaming services of Hulu and ANN yesterday. Other Viz anime titles on iTunes include Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Honey and Clover, NANA, and Blue Dragon.
Viz Media also publishes the original manga in North America. In Japan, Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine announced on Wednesday that a new Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (Inuyasha Final Chapter) television adaptation of the manga's final 21 book volumes has been green-lit for this fall.
