Sentai Filmworks Adds Yumeria, Divergence Eve Anime

posted on by Karen Ressler
Both sets to ship in November

Sentai Filmworks announced at its panel at Anime Expo on Thursday that it has acquired the distribution rights for the television anime series Yumeria and Divergence Eve. Both series, which were previously licensed by ADV Films, will ship in November. Sentai Filmworks did not specify if the two series would ship on DVD, Blu-ray Disc, or both.

Yumeria is based on Namco's PlayStation 2 video game, and follows the story of Tomokazu Mikuri, an ordinary high school boy who has a realistic dream of a girl fighting a monster and wakes up to find her next to him. Now whenever he sleeps he enters the dream world, and so does five girls from his high school who have undergone transformations in the dream world: including his childhood friend, a younger cousin, and a cat girl who refers Tomokazu as her husband.

ADV previously licensed the series after it aired in 2004 and released it on bilingual DVDs from 2005 to 2006.

Divergence Eve follows the story of rookie soldier Misaki Kureha, who helps battle Ghouls that travel from a parallel dimension when gates are opened for interstellar travel. The series originally aired in Japan in 2003, and ADV Films released the series on DVD in 2005.

Sentai Filmworks also announced the rest of its November release slate, which includes: Hiiro no Kakera - The Tamayori Princess Saga season two, NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them! complete series, Little Busters! season 1, Highschool of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead OVA, and La storia della Arcana Famiglia complete series. All releases will be bilingual, and all except Little Busters! will be available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. Little Busters! will ship on DVD only.
