Series follows Japanese woman, Saudi Arabian woman who are roommates

Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Friday that it has licensed Yupechika's Satoko and Nada manga. The first volume is slated for October 9, 2018.

Seven Seas describes the story:

Satoko, who is Japanese, has a new roommate in America: a Saudi Arabian woman named Nada, who practices Islam and wears a hijab. While under the same roof, Satoko and Nada learn how to live together with very different customs and still have all the fun young women crave! Through mutual respect—and the hilarious adventures of their daily life—Satoko and Nada prove that friendship knows no borders.

Satoko to Nada is Yupechika's debut work. Marie Nishimori, a Muslim journalist, collaborates on the series. Yupechika launched the series on Seikaisha's "Twi4" (Twitter 4-koma) Twitter account in January 2017, and it also runs on the company's Saizensen website. Kodansha will publish the third compiled volume on April 26.

The manga ranked third for female readers on Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) 2018 list, and fourth in the web manga category of Da Vinci and Niconico's Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards.
