Sad to see that nothing ever came about in terms of an official English release for The Main Dish, or even a release of the new, 10-volume release of the original manga. It's one of my all-time favorite manga of all time, and have wanted it to be given a second chance in America for so long (Viz only released the first two volumes back in the 90s). Discotek gave the two anime series a well-deserved rescue, and have since even gotten them streaming on CrunchyRoll, but nothing's come about for the manga.
I know that no English manga publisher wants to hear this... But I guess I'll just have to rely on the scanlation effort that's been going on for The Main Dish, though I will wait until it's fully done, so that should give a company some extra time to surprise me. I doubt it'll ever happen, but still. |
