Pikachu Invasion Returns to Yokohama in August
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The cutest parade of Pokémon is returning to Yokohama in August. The "Odoru? Pikachū Tairyō Hassei-chū!" (Dance? Pikachu All Over the Place) event will bring a plethora of Pikachu from August 8-16 to venues around Yokohama's Minato Mirai district. There will be at least 1,000 Pikachu marching and dancing. Organizers state the flood of Pokémon will make the area like a Pikachu theme park.
The official website is sharing a compilation video from last year's Pikachu invasion.
Last year's event included a towering Pikachu, nightly projection mapping shows, stage shows, hands-on workshops, Pikachu-decorated landmarks, Pikachu games and rides, a stamp rally, limited edition merchandise, and a Pikachu cafe.
