A new book titled The Way of the Voice Actor: 50 Voice Actors Share Their Knowledge and Hints (Seiyūdō: Meiyū 50-nin ga tsutaetai shigoto no kokoroe to ikiru hinto) went on sale in Japan on February 8. The book compiles interviews with 50 veteran Japanese voice actors, including Kenichi Suzumura (Masato Hijirikawa from Uta no Prince-sama, Sōgo Okita from Gintama) and Hiroyuki Yoshino (Yasutomo Arakita from Yowamushi Pedal, Allelujah Haptism from Mobile Suit Gundam 00).
The book was published by Shufunotomo in anticipation of the 25th anniversary of the Seiyuu Grand Prix magazine, which the publisher also handles. The book advertises itself as the "bible" for aspiring voice actors, and costs 1,400 yen (US$12.70).
Seiyuu Grand Prix's website posted short snippets from various voice actors to tease the contents of the book:
Masako Nozawa (voice of Goku): "In the studio I was Goku. I would even do the Kamehameha."
Toru Furuya (voice of Amuro Ray): "My encounter with Gundam allowed me to cast off Hyuma (Hoshi)."
