posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

The official website for the Kuromajyo-san ga Tōru!! television anime series revealed additional cast for the show on Thursday. The series adapts Hiroshi Ishizaki's series of children's novels. The series will premiere on April 4. The story centers around Chiyoko "Choco" Kurotori, a somewhat cynical fifth-grade schoolgirl who is training to become a black witch with the magical world's most ardent instructor, Gubid.

The additional cast is as follows:
Maria Yamamoto as Meg Shion
Yuki Matsuoka as Mai Ichiro
Mariko Mizuno as Yuri Haruno
Hitomi Nabatame as Ryoutarou Asakura
Rika Komatsu as Ashura Toukaiji
Megumi Matsumoto as Shō Sanjō
Tomo Muranaka as Daigorou Iwata
Misuzu Togashi as Naoki Kojima
Junji Majima as Matsuoka-sensei
Tomo Sakurai as Choco's Mother

The main cast for the series includes Fumiko Orikasa (Bleach's Rukia, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood's Riza Hawkeye) as "Choco," while Romi Park (Fullmetal Alchemist's Edward Elric, Bleach's Hitsugaya Toushiro) plays Gubid. Tetsuo Yasumi (ATASHIn'CHI, Happy Happy Clover) is directing the anime at Shinei Animation (Doraemon). Masae Ōtake (ATASHIn'CHI animation director) is serving as both the character designer and the chief animation director, and Kimiko Ueno (Gokyoudai Monogatari, Stitch!: Zutto Saikō no Tomodachi) is scripting the anime.

Kodansha's Aoi Tori Bunko imprint launched the novel series in 1980 with illustrations by Kaori Fujita, and its 15 volumes (numbered from 0 to 14) have sold over 2.6 million copies. The seven-minute anime episodes will run within the Dai! Tensai TV-kun program, which runs from 6:20 to 6:54 p.m. on the public broadcaster NHK's education channel E-Tele.
