Voice of Fullmetal Alchemist's Roy, JoJo's narrator went on hiatus in December to treat illness

The official website for the talent agency Mausu Promotion announced on Friday that voice actor Toru Ohkawa is returning from his hiatus. Ohkawa will return to work gradually.

Mausu Promotion had announced in December that Ohkawa would go on hiatus due to treatment for an unspecified illness.

Ohkawa's many credits include Roy Mustang in the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, Death Scythe in Soul Eater, Tokugawa Ieyasu in the Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings game and anime franchise, the narrator in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime works, Saito in the various Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime, Sengoku in One Piece, Isami Kondō in the Hakuōki franchise, Saazbaum in Aldnoah.Zero, and the titular detective role in the Meitantei Pikachū: Shin Konbi Tanjō game. More recently, he played Gordes Musik Yggdmillennia in Fate/Apocrypha, Watanabe-sensei in the Just Because! anime, and Ichinosuke Okajima in winter anime Killing Bites.
