Kawaii Kon Announces its Second Round of Guests for the 2011 Show

Honolulu, Hawaii – January, 18 2011 Kawaii Kon, Hawaii's premier anime convention and conference, announces its second round of guests for the 2011 show. Scheduled to appear are:
Kappei Yamaguchi – Japanese Seiyuu
Bio: Yamaguchi-san, from Fukuoka, Japan, has more than 50 voice acting roles in anime series and in numerous video games.

Yamaguchi-san is best known for his roles as Inuyasha from Inuyasha, Ranma Saotome from Ranma ½, L from Death Note, Usopp from One Piece, Tombo from Kiki's Deliver Service, and Raimon “Monta” Taro from Eyeshield 21. Other roles includes Yū Yū Hakusho, GeGeGe no Kitarō, Gravitation, Law of Ueki, Detective Conan, and many more!

David WilliamsADR Director
Bio: David has been in the anime industry for over 18 years doing everything from subtitling to DVD production, marketing to ADR directing.

As an ADR Director with ADV Films, he directed shows such as D.N.Angel, Angelic Layer, Prétear, Najica Blitz Tactics and many others too numerous to list. He has authored hundreds of DVDs, subtitled more shows than he can count and been instrumental in bringing hundreds of shows to the US. He is currently working with one of the fastest growing anime companies in North America, Sentai Filmworks.

Eleven Staples – Rock Band
Bio: Eleven Staples is a band comprised of local fans of Japanese music, animation, and games. They made their Kawaii Kon debut in 2010 and are back in 2011 with a new member and even more songs from popular titles like Bleach, NANA, and Gundam 00.

Kawaii Kon is dedicated to creating a broader awareness of, and appreciation for Japanese animation by celebrating the richness of this artform. Through cooperation with the community, Kawaii Kon hopes to facilitate growth of the anime, manga and related industries in Hawaii and beyond. In addition to providing a central event for fans and enthusiasts, Kawaii Kon seeks to become a vehicle for sharing and disseminating industry information. Kawaii Kon also provides the community and related industries the opportunity to network and conduct business.
