No Game No Life: Zero (EXPLAINED) | Quillz
I was very much emotionally moved by this prequel. Knowledge of the TV series, while helpful, is unnecessary. This movie is unusual in that in addition to the epilogue, there is not one, but two prologues. I love the ending song.

As a No Game, No Life fan, I wouldn't want the entire series to be like this, but as a standalone prequel, I couldn't have asked for anything better. No Game, No Life Zero is a highly competent film in its own right and one of the best animated features to come out this year.

While it has its good points, it also very much has its bad points.
