For the longest time, I had thought that the English VA playing Mugen was Steven Jay Blum, as he sounds almost exactly like Spike Spiegel, yet when I checked the Encyclopedia, it claims that Mugen is played by a certain Daniel Andrews.
Recently, I was browsing Amazon.com's collection of available Samurai Champloo Volumes, and I noticed that the voice talents credited on the page included Blum and not Andrews. While I have no prior reasons to distrust ANN's encyclopedia, I'm pretty sure it's an error (when I tried to amend it, it wouldn't let me). Anyone out there know what the deal is? |

According to the credits the actor is Daniel Andrews.
The reason you weren't able to add the Steven Jay Blum credit is because other people have already submitted it and it has been marked as improper information. So it can't be added again. -t |

Daniel Andrews is the name given in the credits. I know this because I took the time to pause the DVD and copy each of the actors/actresses listed into the Enyclopedia entry when it used to have next to nothing for an English voice cast. The name "Steven Blum" was not listed anywhere on that list in the ending credits. But surely, you can tell with your ears that it is indeed Mr. Blum.

Steven Blum is one of those VAs who likes to keep his aliases as separated as possible. Therefore, if you check for each of his known aliases on ANN you will notice they each have a separate page, rather than being all listed on the same page like some VAs allow.

I know, which is why I gave link  But Steven says its not him, so out of respect did not want to make too much of a direct connection here. Oh well
