Steins;Gate movie is almost here! WOO HOO!

Now that I got that out of the system, it continues to amaze me that Free! sells that well. I hope KyoAni takes more chances like this going forward.

I haven't seen the series, so I don't know... Did it suddenly get really good at the end? What's with the spike? (Or is this common?)

This type of comeback is an anomaly.

In short, the show was ridiculed during its initial airing, and many people began following it just to throw their own punch. However, over time (although too little too late to save the BD/DVD run), a cult following emerged among the bandwagoneers. These viewers actually liked the show, which remained endearing to them long after it ended.

Fast forward to this fall, and the producers are now capitalizing on the good buzz.

The Kill Me Baby BD box is ridiculously cheap. It has an MSRP of 16,800 yen for the entire series with very nice packaging and bonuses. To buy the 6 single BD volumes would over 40,000 yen MSRP. They took a premium product with very good bonuses and sold it (relatively) very cheap. That's all there is to Kill Me Baby's sales. I'm sure if C3-bu or Crime Edge got a BD box release that was as nicely packaged with as good bonuses as the KMB box priced for the same 16,800 MSRP there'd be similar numbers.

What chances -.- "Let's make K-on, but for girls!" yeah they really pushed the boat out on that one. Despite saying that I don't hate Free by any means, I just have no interest in it haha.

I'm more pleased to see Hataraku continuously selling well, give me a s2 of that plx xD

Happy to say that one of those Mononoke Hime copies is mine.

I haven't watched it yet, as I just wrapped it last night and put it under the Christmas tree.

Can't wait to watch this with my fiance' as it is our favorite Ghibili film and I'm just so happy that I'll be able to watch it on Blu Ray in just 2 weeks. I haven't watched it in years, so it will be an amazing way to revisit this film.
