Go to www.animenfo.com and look up Samurai 7.

Or type in "Samurai 7" in Google and you'll pull up sites with that info.

The encyc entry here has 2 Japanese webpages linked...but it'd probably easier to navigate one in English.

And how was he (or she) to know?

Apart from browsing the Staff page and concluding that "Liann" is a female name (which I don't think is all that obvious)? Moreover, from the avatar that friend lianncoop has chosen, it's even more confusing.

Recently another user wrote to me, not knowing my gender - but knowing that I had three children and take very good care of them, including them in my anime habit. Since my handle is far from gender-specific, it seemed obvious to this user that I was female, and I was addressed as such.

The user in question was concerned that I would be offended, when the mistake became clear - and rather surprised when I didn't. How, after all, was anybody to know?

Which brings me to the point: in this faceless medium, I don't practice gender distinctions. Nor do I take anybody's avatar as a clue, in that regard.

You are all neuter to me.

Mr. abunai sir, calm down, please Anime catgrin + sweatdrop. I wasn't trying to point out a mistake made by Gaara of the Sand or anything. It's OK that this person didn't know lianncoop was a woman, but I just wanted to point it out. Anime smile + sweatdrop

On top of that, "thanks man..." can be used as an expression to give thanks to any member of the human race, as I see it anyway, so cheer up! Surprised

I had no negative intent towards the author of this thead, nor did I try to impose some kind of "know your genders before you post" concept. I was... just letting that person know Liann's gender, that's all... Anime cry

They went under? I've been using them off and on for the past year and the site has always worked for me.
