Plot Summary:
A "wandering samurai" named Hiro has come across the sea to the town of Yasaka, the "Stray Dog Capital", in search of something. Specifically, he's on the hunt for people who can help him defeat a mysterious figure known only as Kagura, who defeated Hiro in the past & took what was most important to him. After meeting with a young follower named Nori, Hori winds up recruiting six men to help him fight Kagura: Atsushi, respected leader of the main gang in Yasaka who lost in a fight with Kagura; Makidai, a for-hire ronin who lost in the same fight with Kagura; Takahiro, a young but experienced archer; Matsu, a ninja raised in the Furen Valley west of Yasaka; Usa, a ninja from the Suiryu Clan that rivals the Furen; & Akira, leader of a group of bandits from the mountains outside Yasaka.
