Kenta Miyake, Suzuko Mimori, More Join Comet Lucifer Anime's Cast

Kenji Hamada, Mutsumi Tamura, Junji Majima also join cast for series premiering on October 4

The staff of 8-Bit's original television anime Comet Lucifer revealed more character designs, descriptions, and cast members on Friday. The new cast and characters are as follows:

Kenta Miyake as Hajime Do Mon, the owner of Café Vantelemo. He has been taking care of Sōgo as his foster parent since Sōgo was a child.


Suzuko Mimori as Marvina Anians, a young lady who runs a bakery in Garden Indigo. She is close with Sōgo and his friends, and they call her "Vee."


Kenji Hamada as Gus Stewart, a soldier for the Gift government. He has amazing combat ability, but he winces at the tedium of everyday life. Beneath his calm facade is his passion to pursue battles.


Mutsumi Tamura as Patrick Yan, a former soldier for the Gift government. He has a sharp tongue, and he adores Gus from the bottom of his heart. His nickname is "Pack."


Junji Majima as Alfried Maccaran, a resourceful hacker. He calls Felia "mademoiselle," and he persistently pursues her. Gus and his friends call him "Al."


They join the previously revealed main cast:

Yūsuke Kobayashi as Sōgo Amagi, an pure young man who lives in Garden Indigo. Both of his parents are dead, and he lives with Do Mon. His mother was a Giftjium researcher, and because of that he loves large crystals.


Ayaka Ohashi as Felia, a mysterious young woman Sōgo meets in the lowest level of Garden Indigo


Rie Takahashi as Kaon Lanchester, a cheerful, lively, and refreshing young woman who is Sōgo's classmate. Her parents are famous merchants.


Takuma Terashima as Roman Valov, a young man in the same grade as Sōgo and the heir to the Valov family, who rule Garden Indigo. He is the school's most handsome and coolest gentleman.


Ayaka Suwa as Otto Motō, who is Roman's classmate and in the same grade as Sōgo. Otto's family have served as the stewards to the Valov family for generations, and so Otto is always seen together with Roman.


Inori Minase as Mo Ritika Tzetzes Ura, a mysterious creature Sōgo meets. It seems as though its whole body is made of Giftjium. Nicknamed Moura.


The story takes place on the planet Gift, where precious crystals called Giftjium are buried in the earth. A young man named Sōgo lives in Garden Indigo, a prosperous mining town. Sōgo's hobby is to collect rare crystals. One day, he gets wrapped up in a riot caused by his classmates Kaon, Roman, and Otto, and he loses his way until he finds a lake deep under the ground's mining ruins. There, he meets a mysterious girl with blue hair and red eyes that gaze straight ahead. The story follows the adventure of what happens after this meeting.

Project Felia is credited with the original work. Yasuhito Kikuchi (Infinite Stratos, Macross Frontier) is directing the series at studio 8 Bit. Yuuichi Nomura (Eureka Seven, Lagrange - The Flower of Rinne, Gundam Seed) is in charge of the original plan, series composition, and script. Atsushi Nakayama (Absolute Duo) is the series director, Yûichi Takahashi (Gatchaman Crowds, Macross Frontier) is the character designer and chief animation director, Takayuki Yanase (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Valvrave the Liberator) is the mechanical designer, and Tatsuya Katou (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, Medaka Box, Gingitsune) is composing the music.

The group fhana will perform the opening theme song, and voice actress Ayaka Ohashi will perform the ending theme song. fhana and TRUE (Buddy Complex, Sound! Euphonium) are both performing image songs: "Cosmos no yō ni" and "Story of Lucifer," respectively.

Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series, and Crunchyroll will stream it as it airs. The anime will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX on October 4 at 10:30 p.m.
