Dallas Reid, Justin Pate Star in Funimation's Cheer Boys! English Broadcast Dub

FUNimation Entertainment announced the English broadcast dub cast for the Cheer Boys!! anime on Tuesday.
Funimation also announced that Caitlin Glass is directing its broadcast dub of Love Live! Sunshine!!, which premiered on June 30. Glass previously played Maki Nishikino in NIS America and Bang Zoom! Entertainment's English dub of Love Live! School idol project.
The Cheer Boys!! cast, under director Aaron Dismuke, includes:
- Dallas Reid as Haruki Bando
- Justin Pate as Kazuma Hashimoto
- Kyle Phillips as Sho Tokugawa
- Jarrod Greene as Wataru Mizoguchi
- Cris George as Koji Tono
- Alejandro Saab as Soichiro Suzuki
- Clifford Chapin as Gen Hasegawa
The Cheer Boys!! broadcast dub premiered on Tuesday. Funimation is also streaming the series with English subtitles.
Cheer Boys!! adapts Ryō Asai's novel. Funimation describes the story:
Haruki Bandou was born into a family of Judo marital artists and expected to continue the family legacy. But he's about to trade Judo for…cheerleading?! When his childhood friend Kazuma Hashimoto invites him to join the BREAKERS, a male cheerleading club, Haru finds himself amongst a quirky group of boys. Can this squad of slightly odd and cute members make a breakthrough in college athletics?
Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee manga creator Hiroyuki Asada is providing the original character designs for the series. Ai Yoshimura (Blue Spring Ride, Dance with Devils) is directing the series at Brains Base, and Reiko Yoshida (Girls und Panzer, Haruchika – Haruta & Chika) is handling the series composition. Hitomi Tsuruta is adapting Asada's designs for animation and is also serving as chief animation director. Rock band Luck Life performed the opening theme song "Hajime no Ippo" (First Step). The seven main cast members of the anime performed the ending theme song "LIMIT BREAKERS" under the unit name BREAKERS.
