Get Twice the Todoroki from My Hero Academia at Anime Festival 2020 – Sydney

Tuesday, 18 February 2020
Sydney, NSW

In an Australian first, Anime Festival will play host to the two voices of the same character – co- protagonist, Shoto Todoroki from the popular anime series My Hero Academia.

Both Yūki Kaji and David Matranga, the Japanese and English-dub voice actors respectively, will be appearing at the pop culture event in Sydney (7-8 March).

An award-winning voice actor with several world-renowned titles to his name, Kaji is also known for his roles as Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan, Speed-o'-Sound Sonic from One Punch Man, and Sabito from Demon Slayer. Similarly, Matranga is just as accomplished, with a long list of animation voice acting credits, which include popular titles like Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, Black Clover and more.

If two heavy-hitting guests aren't enough, the pair are joined by Kana Ueda, the Japanese voice actress behind Ishtar in Fate/Grand Order and Rin Tohsaka of the Fate franchise, such as Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero.

Beloved animator and character designer, Shingo Adachi, best known for his work on Sword Art Online, will be returning to the event, much to the delight of his fans. In addition, songbird, Luna Haruna, will also be in attendance, performing hits that include theme tracks for several anime productions, such as Sword Art Online and Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend.

Rounding off the guests for Anime Festival 2020 - Sydney is J-pop starlet, Arisa Uki, and international cosplayer, Mon, who hails from Taiwan.

Anime Festival will be held at the ICC in Sydney, on Saturday the 7th (10am - 6pm) and Sunday the 8th of March (10am - 5pm). Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online from animefestival.com.au.
