so it looks like ANN figured out that I wouldn't watch the sequel series to the original series (Zeta Gundam)...if I *hadn't* already seen the original series? (Gundam itself)

Sunrise is the one making the schedule, blame them for having ANN show Zeta Gundam first, and making us go to Crunchyroll to see Mobile Suit Gundam.

Unfortunately, this is a dub-only stream, but fortunately, the English dub for the show is actually quite good. One of Ocean's best.

You would think they would, since... you know, it's Bandai, and they own Gundam. But I guess the Japanese branch and the American ones are very different, and there's probably a fear of reverse-importing, or something of the sort.

Good stuff. I wish this was around a few years ago when I had to go through major headaches with flash ad filled bootleg sites to stream rmvbs of this.

Very cool guys. Been wanting to see the original MSG for years. As a huge Gundam fan, I think it's good to get back to the roots of the franchise Smile BTW, the episode 15 that isn't available...is that the ep I rememebr reading that wasn't released in the US? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.

Yeah, they never dubbed it. As Tomino himself was involved with that dub, I would assume he had a say in the matter. I'm told that its removal doesn't affect the story.

It's basically a filler episode about a member of Zeon who has gone AWOL to raise a few kids. From what I heard Tomino dropped it from the dub because the animation where awful for that episode. Basically if you see pictures of a poorly drawn Gundam it's from that episode.

*sigh* Flash based players showing up in RSS clients telling you to install Flash into the RSS player which can't be done is annoying. And here there are ways to support them.

I've seen the excised episode, and it's too bad as far as content, but the art is awful in it.

GUNDAMUUUUUU! GUNDAMUUUUU!

That theme song is going to be stuck in my head for weeks.

I know it's me being prejudiced against older stuff, but Mobile Suit Gundam has a much more sophisticated plot than I thought it would. Episode three kind of reminds me of Stargate Universe in that it focuses a lot on the people on the ship and how they interact. I'm enjoying it way more than Gundam 00, Wing or Seed.

Excellent dub, too.

Oh, wow, I guess I should take this opportunity to finish up the original Gundam series -- I followed it on Cartoon Network back in 2001 until their broadcast of it got confusing (looking at ANN's episode page, I still can't figure out what happened, though maybe it had something to with 9/11). I can't believe that was nearly 9 years ago ...
