The idols from the PriPara anime franchise are adding one cute raccoon to the line-up. The Pretty All Friends, part of the Pretty Rhythm magical girl skating series, is collaborating with Rascal for a line of collectible merchandise, costumes, and an original story.

The collaboration goods will go on sale at TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S' booth at Shogakukan's Ciao Summer Festival 2018 event. The event is scheduled for the August 25-26 weekend at Pacifico Yokohama convention center in Nishi, Yokohama. After the event wraps, items will go on sale at official PriPara merchandise shops.

Starting on August 2, a collaboration code can be used in the arcade game Kiratto Pri☆Chan to acquire a visual of the Pretty All Friends characters in matching Rascal outfits.

An original story starring the Pretty All Friends characters and Rascal is currently on the franchise's official website. In the story, the idols encounter Rascal in the forest while trying to allocate ingredients for snacks. Rascal arrives with plenty of nuts and fruits to make sweets.

Rascal the Raccoon previously joined the Survey Corps for two Attack on Titan campaigns and replaced the cast of Tiger & Bunny.

The Pretty Series began with syn Sophia's Pretty Rhythm: Mini Skirt arcade game in 2010. The game inspired four television anime series, as well as anime film. The sequel game PriPara (Prism Paradise) launched in 2014 and also inspired an anime series.

A new anime titled Kiratto Pri☆Chan will premiere on April 8. While the anime is not directly a sequel to the PriPara franchise, it is the second part of syn Sophia's "Pretty Series New Project," which involves both the Pretty Rhythm anime and the loose follow-up PriPara. The previously announced "Pretty All Friends Project" commemorates the overall Pretty Series franchise's 10-year anniversary, which will take place on 2020.
