Tickets on Sale Today for “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” Opening in North American Theaters on August 19

Dragon Ball Super Film Partners and Crunchyroll Debut New Trailer during Today's Fully Packed Comic-Con International Hall H Panel


Culver City, California (July 22, 2022) – Crunchyroll, the ultimate anime destination worldwide, announced today that tickets for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the newest film in the global anime blockbuster franchise, are now on sale in the United States and Canada at Fandango.com. The film will be available in both English dub and subtitled and will arrive in more than 2500+ theaters in North America on August 19. The film will also be released in select U.S. based IMAX® theaters. Tickets are also now on sale in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Crunchyroll and Toei Animation also unveiled a new trailer this afternoon, treating both fans attending Comic-Con International to a new, special exclusive look at the upcoming film.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero also took center stage at the San Diego Convention Center during Comic-Con International, when special guest of honor from Japan, Toshio Furukawa (voice actor for Piccolo), was joined by Christopher R. Sabat (the English voice actor for Piccolo) and producer Norihiro Hayashida, to share stories and insights from the film. Lucky attendees were also given an extended first-look at the movie – with approximately the first 20 minutes screened exclusively for the at-full-capacity SDCC audience in Hall H!

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Synopsis:
The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves “Super Heroes”. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army's objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!

The film, with full commitment and deep involvement from Dragon Ball's original creator Akira Toriyama, has the legendary manga creator behind the film's original story, screenplay and character design.

Additionally, the film will be directed by Tetsuro Kodama and the Japanese voice actors for the film include Masako Nozawa (Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Son Goten), Toshio Furukawa (Piccolo), Aya Hisakawa (Bulma), Ryō Horikawa (Vegeta), Mayumi Tanaka (Krillin), Takeshi Kusao (Trunks), Yūko Minaguchi (Videl), Yūko Minaguchi (Pan), Miyu Irino (Dr. Hedo), Hiroshi Kamiya (Gamma 1), Mamoru Miyano (Gamma 2), Volcano Ōta (Magenta), and Ryōta Takeuchi (Carmine).

The English voice actors include Kyle Hebert (Son Gohan), Sean Schemmel (Son Goku), Robert McCollum (Son Goten), Christopher R. Sabat (Piccolo, Vegeta), Monica Rial (Bulma), Sonny Strait (Krillin), Eric Vale (Trunks), Kara Edwards (Videl), Jeannie Tirado (Pan), Zach Aguilar (Dr. Hedo), Aleks Le (Gamma 1), Zeno Robinson (Gamma 2), Charles Martinet (Magenta), and Jason Marnocha (Carmine).
