I orginally had this rated as excellent, I really dont want to rate stuff masterpiece becasue I thought it was great. However, I have yet to have wacthd a show where i have rewatched so much. I have, without a doubt watched ep. 26 at least 20 times. i have also watched other ep from E7 numerous times. Imo ep 26 is the greatest ep of any anime. so I had to change my rating to masterpiece .
I loved the style of this series; the dark, gothic like atmosphere is a good change up from the usual, bright and shiny anime out there. The story and concept I felt also was refreshing, and pacing, though slow, fit Gilgamesh; though towards the end, it seemed to cram alot of information in at once. But still, until the end of the anime; it was difficult to determine the direction/ending, which I enjoyed. The complaints I have are: the dub fit the characters so much better than the original sub voices, it is usually the other way around, but not in this case; so I watched the dub version. In addition, the level of animation seemed to vary, there were spectacular visuals and reflections displayed thorough the series, but it seemed that corners would be cut here and there. I especially didn't like the natural forms of Gilgamesh...seemed one-dimensional until the final ep. where they seemed more life-like. All in all, a very good story, hard to believe it was based on a magna from the 70's.

In this, Spider-Man and Ultraman are kindred spirits, and I'm not quite sure what I expected their connection to be but I like this angle as a way to bridge these two very different characters.― Ultraman: Along Came a Spider-Man is a solid start for an Ultraman and Spider-Man that hits most of the notes you would expect. The premise here is simple enough and totally in keeping with crossover tales o...
