Japan's Animation DVD Ranking, July 11-17

The first film in Shinsuke Satō's live-action adaptation of Hiroya Oku's Gantz action manga sold 35,359 copies to rank #1.
AKB48's AKB ga Ippai ~The Best Music Video~ collection dropped from #2 to #3 in its fourth week. It sold 13,966 more copies for a total of 314,279.
Takashi Yamazaki's live-action film adaptation of the Space Battleship Yamato anime (pictured right) also drooped from #7 to #8 in its fourth week. It sold 6,805 copies for a new total of 97,229. The °C-ute & S/mileage Premium Live 2011 Haru~°C & S Collaboration Daisakusen~ DVD sold 3,151 copies to land at #18.
AKB48's Nogashita Sakana-tachi Single Video Collection added 712 to its 53-week total of 170,789 at #79.
