InuYasha, Sailor Moon voice actors coming to August convention in British Columbia

Anime Revolution announced on Friday that it would host voice actor Kappei Yamaguchi at its August 16-18 convention in Vancouver, British Columbia. Yamaguchi joins the convention's previously announced guest, voice actor Tohru Furuya.

Yamaguchi is best known for his titular roles in Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha, both anime adaptations of works by Rumiko Takahashi, and for his role of L in Death Note. Yamaguchi also portrays Usopp in One Piece and Shinichi Kudo in Case Closed (called Jimmy Kudo in the English-language version). This year's Anime Revolution marks Yamaguchi's first appearance at a Canadian convention.

Furuya is a prolific voice actor known for such major roles as the first Mobile Suit Gundam story's Amuro Ray, Sailor Moon's Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask, Dragon Ball's Yamcha, and Saint Seiya's Pegasus Seiya. In more recent years, he appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 as Ribbons Almark and the Bleach: Jigoku-hen anime film as Shuren.

Other announced guests include Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex vocalist Origa, Lolita fasion brand Angelic Pretty, and English voice actors Vic Mignogna, Todd Haberkorn, Cherami Leigh, Newton Pittman, and Caitlin Glass.
