I usually strive to watch a more uplifting anime by choice, however, Death Note appeals to my other favorite in movies. The battle-of-the-minds in this series is the best yet and it kept me choosing sides until late in the show. Most of the popular anime such as this i pick up just to say i have watched it and be able to give me opinion on it, but Death Note is one that i can truly understand why it is so popular. |

Although a very violent show as a whole, i more consider this to be a story for the healing of another and their soul. This gives a view into the impact people have on one another as a main theme and shows how much simply being around can change everyone who knows you. |

Alone this anime movie would not rank as high as it does for me since it is very... goal focused. I would say that if I didn't watch Fate/Stay night series first, i would have ranked this very low since it is completely dependant on the viewer already having a basic concept of the situation. |

A very different anime from any other i have seen but, in this case, it's a satisfying change. Although not a lot of action, and there is very little going on apart from the wanderings of these two people, the anime gives a personal and in depth look at their lives and the mercantilism they immerse themselves in. |

If only he didn't cry every episode... Based upon choosing and following your dreams throughout all hardships, this shows theme is one that is a repeat, and will be repeated by many others. What makes this one special for me is that it comes from a very young boy who never lets anything stop him from the pursuit of that which he strives to become. |

The hardest decision I've ever found has been to love enough to give it up, which is only the introduction to this anime. While being a fairly straightforward love story this anime has a fair few twists that make it unpredictable as a whole. With the characters personalities changing throughout the story, this anime kept me wanting to see the next episode constantly. |

This would be my gateway anime. Although i rate other anime above it, that may only be because i have watched this one so often already. Has Very good character development and, despite the characters all being very diverse, I was able to find something to relate to in each of them. All in all i would consider this my favorite anime, even if it isn't the most well put-together. |

Personally, i hate the idea of fate and the idea of preordained lives, but i also do not rule out a possibility for the shear fact that 'i don't like it.' With this anime i was shown how fate would play into the day to day life in a way that i wasn't utterly repulsed by it. The main character may been annoying for me to listen to a few times, all in all he acted of his own volition, even if it happened to be the path fate chose. |
