Otakon to Host Sunrise Producer Masayuki Ozaki

Tiger & Bunny/Gintama producer to attend August 9-11 event in Baltimore

The organizers of Otakon announced on Wednesday that Sunrise producer Masayuki Ozaki will attend the Baltimore event. Ozaki last appeared at Otakon in 2011.

Ozaki began working for Sunrise in 2004. As an executive producer, Ozaki has been in charge of overseeing several anime such as the Mobile Suit Z Gundam series, several Battle Spirits series, Dinosaur King, InuYasha: The Final Act, Sgt. Frog, Gintama: The Movie, and the Tiger & Bunny franchise. Ozaki has also been involved in planning for the most recent Gintama film, Gekijōban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare.

Ozaki joins the following previously-announced guests: Oreimo light novel author Tsukasa Fushimi and Oreimo anime director Hiroyuki Kanbe, ASCII Media Works editor Kazuma Miki, Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe, Anime Mirai producer Michihiko Suwa and director Yuzuru Tachikawa, voice actor Tomokazu Seki, singer Chiaki Ishikawa, novelist Kaoru Kurosaki, Japanese cultural writer Takamasa Sakurai, Sword Art Online designers Tetsuya Kawakami and Shingo Adachi, composer Yoko Kanno, hip-hop group Home Made Kazoku, singer T.M. Revolution, and MADHOUSE anime studio founder Masao Maruyama. The convention will also host the following voice actors and actresses: Jad Saxton, Micah Solusod, Mike McFarland, Maile Flanagan, and Vic Mignogna. Otakon is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Otakon 2013 will be held from August 9-11 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
