Bleach (TV) Good
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV)
Case Closed (TV)
Cutie Honey (TV)
Cyborg 009 The Cyborg Soldier (TV) Good You gotta feel sorry for them, a big evil organization kidnaps them and turns them into cyborgs. There isn't much cliche here except the "big evil organization", but you gotta have someone to go up against. The characters all seem very real and believable and you really do wind up feeling kind of sorry for them. Go git 'em Cyborgs!
Dragon Ball (TV) Decent This series surpasses its descendant in many aspects. First, it isn't a "monster of the week" show. Second, it is the story of triumph against overwhelming odds. On the other hand, it is still a silly "fight" show.
Dragon Ball Z (TV) So-so The king of "fight now" shows. This show has your cliche "The world is gonna die" motif coupled with long drawn out fight sequences where a 30 minute episode only covers 10 seconds of a fight. How long does it really take to say "Kamehameha"?
Eureka Seven (TV) So-so
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (TV) Decent
Hamtaro (TV) Not really good Woe. The song is annoying, the plot is childish. It might be great for children, but not for me.
Haruka Nogizaka's Secret: Purezza (TV)
Hikaru no Go (TV)
K-ON!! (TV 2)
Lupin III: Part II (TV) Good An oldie but a goodie as they say, this one may have 70's animation style, but it has lots more adventure than your average 70's program. If I were alive in the '70 s I would have moved to Japan just to see this.
Martian Successor Nadesico (TV) Very good I can't give this anything less than very good because despite its somewhat cliche plot, it does put another twist on anime obsession. It is by no means a weak story, and even though it's a tragic comedy, it is fun. Besides, they are just so cute. ^_^
Mobile Fighter G Gundam (TV) So-so This doesn't really strike me as anything special. Just another "Fight the enemy now" type show with little character.
Mobile Suit Gundam (TV) Good The start of a whole franchise of series, and worthily so. Nice plot and character development and it focuses on the "reality" of war. Too bad CN doesn't agree with me, because I'd really like to see the rest.
My-HiME (TV) Good
Noein - to your other self (TV) Good
Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996) Very good Ah, the wandering samurai! This is such a nice series and both the plot and characters are really well developed. The animation may sometimes look different (the glassy eyes are really cute ~_^), but the story is never "recycled" or "monster of the week". I give many kudos, that I do ("de gozaimasu" ). The Shishio arc is by far the best action I have seen on the Cartoon Network to date...
Sailor Moon (TV) Decent For fanservice, it is really a pretty nice show. It is rather cliche "mahou shojo", but IIRC it is the definition of it. It is a little silly and the "S.M. says" segment was only necessary because of a draconian law, but it is rather cute.
Shin chan (TV) Good
Speed Racer (TV) So-so Go Speed Racer. Eh um... yeah. OK, this is more of a kiddie show than anything, so I wouldn't recommend to your otaku buddies.
Transformers: Armada (TV) So-so Eh, this is another Transformers. From what I can tell (15 eps), it's just another kiddie show with a rather silly plotline. I am sure the Governments of Earth would be interested to know that 5 kids have found an extraterrestrial race of robots, but I wonder why they haven't come to investigate the rather odd "explosions" and other light phenomena.
Umineko - When They Cry (TV)
(The) Vision of Escaflowne (TV) Decent Too bad for Fanelia. Time to kick the Emperor in the head, but [spoiler] is a very famous [spoiler] and we don't wanna hurt him. Note to self, don't waste time playing with [spoiler], it will make you look really ugly and wrinkled. Oh yeah, the series isn't too bad and it has a nice medieval backdrop. P.S. Can they open cans with their noses? :p
Witch Hunter Robin (TV)
Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (TV) Very good Spirit detective is a fun job, or at least Yusuke (sometimes almost never) thinks it is. This one has a rather original slant on defending the world and it isn't blown out of proportion like DBZ. Yusuke is mortal and has limits (that grow exponentially, but they are there and quite poignant). Also, aww aren't they so cute... Yusuke (when he's not getting the tar beat out of himself) and Keiko and Botan and Puu...
Zoids: Fuzors (TV)
