Welp, I like to organize new seasons on my computer's calendar, so here's an offering for those who like to do the same. A few things to keep in mind: (1) Anything not specifically designated to a streaming platform is Crunchyroll. (2) Sometimes the dates change so I'll update as needed. (3) There are still at least 16 Spring 2025 anime that haven't been announced, and Crunchyroll had 5 to be announced slots last time I checked. (4) Some of the Crunchyroll anime might also appear on Netflix or Hulu to be announced later.

I've really loved Winter 2025 just because there have been 4 returning anime that I loved and a lot of new anime that I've looked forward to every week. As to Spring 2025
I'm looking forward to Windbreaker and I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years returning. Demon Hunter: Kinjin Geitoushou looks great and I'm up for My Hero Academia Vigilantes. Lazarus looks good too if I decide to do drop Netflix and do Max for a few months. I think my viewing strategy for Spring will be a return to my old ways where I simply sample anything that looks remotely interesting to me. That might result in my having a truly ungodly menu of shows but it is what it is. I tried to be somewhat selective in the current season (says the guy who ended up with 26 titles) but it resulted in blowing off some shows only to latch onto them late in the game and even now there as some shows I didn't sample that are giving me a tiny niggling unease. So to avoid that I'll simply try everything that I feel I should and see where I end up.
One obvious difference between the new season and Winter is the lack of sequels I'm interested in. Winter had an unprecedented 6 sequels I was jonesing for and Spring only has one: Fire Force 3. Anyway, this is what I love about anime: every 3 months we get a whole new batch. |

@Blood. Sequel wise, I really liked Fire Force season 1 but season 2 lost me after 3 episodes. Maybe I'll try it again during the interim week in case I was just in a mood. That happens.
And I liked Aharen-San well enough. Season 1 kind of had a great end point that I hate to see disturbed, but I'll see if they come up with a good take for a season 2. |

Man do the seasons go by fast, I suppose it is just me get older but seasons feel more like 5 weeks rather than 3 months these days.
Anyhow, I am also rather excited for spring. There are indeed less sequels overall but exciting shows like Fire Force, Windbreaker, Aharen and Killing Slimes are coming back. There are also lots of adaptations of novels that I like such as Old Country Bumpkin, Witch Watch, Your Forma Kowloon Generic Romance and the The Brilliant Healer. It is welcome to see such a varied list of shows, no isekai fest this time but a bit of every genre including a Gundam show and a new Uma Musume. Finally there is Lazarus that sounds rather interesting as an original work. Good luck keeping the list short Blood, it sounds like a difficult task. |

You ain't whistling Dixie, my friend. I've done a count and there are 41 titles I'll be checking out, assuming they have a legit release. That compares to "only" 33 I tried from Winter 2025 of which 7 got dropped.
eta: big thank you to Edjwald for creating a whole slew of show discussion threads for Spring 2025. It takes a bit of mental gymnastics for me to get used to the idea of you being useful, but I find that both drugs and therapy helps.

I didn't see this when you first posted it, but no prob. I like checking out the anime from the new season at the end of the old season anyway. What's surprising me is that we don't seem to be having an interim season this spring. The Unaware Atelier Master starts 6 days from now (Sunday 3/30) the same weekend that's officially wrapping up Winter 25. Then there are 15 anime in the Monday - Friday spread directly after that instead of kicking off the season the following Saturday as is custom. Huh. I kind of like having an interim week. |

Well, although there are still some shows left to premiere I think we can already conclude that the season is pretty packed. There are not that many easy drops this season either.

Aside from TBD licensing labels for some shows, I think I've got pretty much every thread for every popular show listed in the opener. Y'all can reference that to help fully keep track of titles for the season, now.

Yesterday, after watching mono which is the last Spring 2025 I planned to sample, I made a post here giving out some numbers. One of those numbers was that I had dropped 15 titles of new shows I had sampled. By the end of last night, I had returned 12 of those 15 shows to my menu. Um, clearly I'm in a state of flux so I deleted that post. I'm not going to bother reporting on what I'm watching this season until things calm down a bit for me.

31 to be exact. And that does't count either Devil May Cry or Moonrise because Netflix has provided all of their episodes at once so if I do finish either or both, I could do it any time. Who knows if I'll watch any more of them during the Spring.

Here's where I'm sitting after I took some time and did a serious count..
Shows I consider Top Quality, solid all around & excelling in writing or animation or both. Kowloon Generic Romance Anne Shirley Lazarus Windbreaker (silliness aside, music, action sequences, character development, primo) Apothecary Diaries Sword of the Demon Hunter (though I'm watching it on Fridays now - it goes better with Fridays and Apothecary Diaries than Mondays and Aharen San.) That's 6. Shows I'm liking regardless of their quality level - liking more than some of the better produced top quality shows in a few cases - and not even thinking about dropping. Fours shows I haven't tried yet but am hearing good things about. Moonrise Gundam lots of consonants and vowels. Mono Samurai Legend So yeah, bizziest season I've seen in a while. |
