| It's a great idea to make an intentionally terrible anime series to accompany Genshiken because it shows how ridiculous fans can become over even the worst series, but at the same time, that's what makes Kujibiki Unbalance so difficult to like: you cannot take this title seriously. And, even for a parody, it's quite awful. The concept could have made for a more interesting parody if it was executed better because the student council is constantly being poked fun at in anime, but even though it had a short time frame to tell its story it still felt like this series didn't really know where it was going at the time and the characters couldn't save it either. I won't be watching or reading any of the other adaptations, either, because it's Genshiken that's the gold and if it weren't for Genshiken a title like Kujibiki Unbalance probably wouldn't have even lasted long enough on the market to have as many adaptations as it did. |
