B: The Beginning Anime Streams English-Dubbed Promo Video

Production I.G anime premieres on Netflix globally on March 2

Netflix Japan began streaming an English-dubbed promotional video for Production I.G's B: The Beginning anime on Monday. As with the previous Japanese video, the English video previews the anime's theme song "The Perfect World," a collaboration between Marty Friedman (song, arrangement, guitar), MAN WITH A MISSION's Jean-Ken Johnny (vocals), KenKen (bass), and Kōji Fujimoto (arrangement, programming).

Netflix will begin streaming the anime worldwide simultaneously on March 2.

The show's English dub cast includes:

Kazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill's animated segment, Moondrive, Parasite Dolls) and Production I.G are listed as the original creators. Nakazawa and Yoshiki Yamakawa (Little Busters!) are directing the series, and Nakazawa is also designing the characters and serving as key animation supervisor. Katsuya Ishida is writing the screenplay. Yoshihiro Ike (Rage of Bahamut Genesis, Tiger & Bunny) is composing the music.

Netflix first unveiled the 12-episode series under the title Perfect Bones, but later changed the title to B: The Beginning. Each episode will be about 23 minutes long. Netflix describes the story:

In a world powered by advanced technology, crime and action unfold in the archipelagic nation of Cremona. Koku, the protagonist. Keith, the legendary investigator of the royal police force RIS. A mysterious criminal organization. A wide variety of characters race through the fortified city as it is beset by the serial killer, Killer B, and a chain of crimes in this suspense drama by director Kazuto Nakazawa and Production I.G.

Earlier plot descriptions for the series describe a future where scientists are aiming to create "perfect humans" to achieve world peace, but the new humans they create are kidnapped by an evil organization.
