Cells at Work! Comes to Blu-ray with Brand New English Dub this Summer

SANTA MONICA, CA (MAY 17, 2019) – Aniplex of America is proud to announce the complete Blu-ray set for the smash hit anime series, Cells at Work! The highly anticipated release includes a brand new English dub starring Cherami Leigh (Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail), Billy Kametz (Fate/EXTRA Last Encore, Katsugeki TOUKEN RANBU), Robbie Daymond (I want to eat your pancreas, Charlotte), and Laura Post (The Promised Neverland, March comes in like a lion) under the direction of English voice director Christian La Monte and adaptation by Blair Rowan of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD. The Blu-ray set also features the hilarious English dub bloopers as well as the exclusive English version of the opening song written by Kayli Mills and directed by Wendee Lee, which was specially produced and recorded for the Aniplex of America release. Housed in three Blu-ray discs with package illustrations by character designer Takahiko Yoshida (Honey and Clover, Oreimo2), the Blu-ray set also comes with five delightful animated shorts which were never released in the U.S., a special booklet with character reference guides and scene design materials, in addition to textless versions of the opening and ending. The Cells at Work! Complete Blu-ray Set is currently taking pre-orders and will be available beginning August 27 on RightStuf Anime.

Based on Akane Shimizu's popular manga from publisher Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius, Cells at Work! has been widely praised by viewers around the world as well as medical professionals for its entertaining and educational approach to the story of cells within the human body. With anime powerhouse david production from the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series handling the animation production and Kenichi Suzuki (Drifters) serving as the director, the series quickly became a smash hit since its premiere in July of 2018.
