Plot Summary: A brilliant yet absent minded inventor named Dr. Kieta had successfully crafted a time machine in the form of a giant robot insect known as the Time Bokan. To prove that the time machine is functional and safe, the inventor used himself as the test subject to travel through time. By the time the machine came back, Dr. Kieta was no where to be found. In his place was a talking parrot and a valuable stone called the Dynamond. Thus a search team was assembled to locate the missing inventor. Among the members of the team is the inventor’s assistant Tanpei and the inventor’s granddaughter Junko. The only obstacle during their time travel journey is a trio of comical villains known as the Time Skeletons.
