5 Centimeters Per Second (movie) Very good Unusual movie which broke up the story into 3 parts. The first was a romantic setting along with introductions. The seconed part seemed mostly irrelevant but it was to add time inbetween the couple. The third part was very depressing since Tohno was the only one who waited at the end, just like the last scene.
Ah! My Goddess (TV) Excellent A similar taste to Ai Yori Aoshi, where the protagonist and heroine have more or less a scenario of living together of which they already enjoy. Strange system where there is a powerful computer that over-watches the Heavens. Very nice voice actress for Skuld who made the character very irratable ! Keiichi seems to be terribly spineless, but decent for most of the time. Urd's other half was beautiful, but it did not have much screen time. Belldandy probably is the ideal woman that the story gives, mostly likely because she is a Goddess, and a great voice actress for her.
Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy (TV) Excellent The season lets off most of its romantic contents between Belldandy and Keiichi; after that the side character had a good chunk of the screen time, but they were pretty interesting. Urd's mother was probably the most difficult to comprehend: she had fluctuating motives. Dispite there being a fair bit of romance, Keiichi still lacks to fulfil his part. He really could have spiced up the anime.
Ai Yori Aoshi (TV) Masterpiece The first couple of episodes really grabbed my attention; which is unsual for an anime to make a great impression in the early stages. It went straight into detail with the relationship very quickly which shone over the middle episodes; but the main theme (romance) appeared throughout each episode with some comedy.
Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ (TV) Good Something a little bit more to add upon the original seris. There was not much to develop of the main characters since the original had done so; this season could have been covered in one movie rather than a 13 episodes which prolonged the main event. The season felt like a relaxing part after the seris.
Air (TV) Masterpiece It seemed to be a satisfying ending where Yukito can finally take form of something where he can search better for the girl, I prefer the movie but this ending was fine too. However, the anime was very good even though there was little time given to each of the characters.
Air (movie) Masterpiece The movie made more prominent and vivid sense than the episodes (not to mention Yukito survived which was far more fitting). I did enjoy the alternative flash backs, however, Ryuuya didn't look as cool as he did in the seris but that didn't really change much to the generally amazing story.
Air In Summer (special) Masterpiece The timeline of the setting is a favourite, truly authentic and Ryuuya's got decent hairstyle. Comedy was great here and I enjoyed every bit of it. Very serene opening song too.
Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka (TV) Masterpiece Absolutely satisfying. Minato is the perfect and correct choice from Junichi, the ending seemed more like a wish and I'm glad it came true. Comedy did seem similar to Love Hina but this had a much better happy ending. Seijirou is an awesome teacher, not much gets past him. The father's probably the funniest character of this seris. Great Anime!
Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka Hardcore (OAV) Very good A combination of comedy and fan service which gives this ova an overall easy sense. There was not much romance involved with the siblings which was the good ending for the original seris, however, at least there was some airtime for Seijirou. There could have some scenes that involved the parents and that could have given this ova a slightly better edge to it.
Akikan! (TV) Excellent Very daring protagonist throughout the anime. He managed to change from a very dirty, comedic character a serious and reliable one at the right times. The comedic ending was fitting for anime to preserve the perverted side of Kakeru. A mix of yuri and yaoi worked well with the comedy. more episodes would not be so bad, sine action was not a suited theme here. There was plenty of decent romance everywhere which completed the anime.
Amagami SS (TV) Very good Generally a hentai game that was in the form of an anime. It was expected to have that repetative start with the protagonist and his situation/story. All of the girls' stories were played out smoothly, but it was pretty brief. It would have been favourable if the little sister was a possible selection. Amongst all of the heroines, Tskasa Aatsuji was the closest preference.
Amagami SS+ (TV) Good A continuation of the heroines from the first season, it had a general peaceful atmosphere but nothing too new or epic apart from Haruka's episodes. The artwork was still as good as the first season. The final episode was more of a comic ending as oppose to romantic.
anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (TV) Very good There was always a saddening air throughout the seris, all of the "Super Peace Busters" had ironic lack of peace within them. It would have been preferable if they all could see her, for example only in their hideout, as oppose to just Jin-tan; else it would suggest the others did not like Menma as much the protagonist or vice versa. Very nice ending however, maybe a 8.5/9.
Arakawa Under the Bridge (TV) Very good The anime had very unusual but distinctive characters. The main character started off selfish, but it seems like his sole influence was from his father. The comedy was tackling the common sense of an average well-brought person and managed to help Ric. The romance was very light but it did liven up some parts of the story.
Arakawa under the Bridge × Bridge (TV) Very good Ric still manages to miantain his common sense, even after going through countless occasions of strange outcomes. It would have been preferable to see the members under the bridge to travel to Venus before the end. Generally very entertaining anime, episodes just flew past, one after another; there was little that was wrong with it.
Astarotte's Toy (TV) Good A good comic opening that does the potential, but the plot was interesting at first but towards the end it was more towards off-putting. The ending attempted to be epic, but fell short from their lack of build up. The ending was alright however.
Azumanga Daioh (TV) Very good The anime seemed very laid back with average, everyday bunch of school girls. However the anime made up for its lack of romance or action in comedy.
B Gata H Kei - Yamada’s First Time (TV) Very good The reverse role was an exellent idea to start with. Yamada played a great heroine right through to the end and I believe Kosuda was a fair match. If the anime were to be of more serious nature, then Miyana would have been the better choice. It is a shame about Kyoka, it would be nice for her to have a happy ending. Great comedy throughout the anime.
Bakemonogatari (TV) Very good Psychologically romantic anime is the best way to describe this anime. Araragi plays the natural role of a protagonist, he managed to survive the wrath of the girls' hardships and become involved with Hitagi; it was tragic about Hanekawa's situation. The scenes broke up with some written parts which worked amazingly to give a unique characteristic view of the events. Very abstract, original, but violent anime; although it was suitable.
(The) Big O (TV) Very good Difficult anime to figure out, where most of the events and why did they happen were only realised after watching the anime again. It did not go over-bored with the mecha which was best for my taste, and there was some decent serene music to go along with the mysterious theme which made the anime quite enjoyable.
Black Butler (TV) Masterpiece Sebastian, the butler seemed loyal and efficient throughout the anime, but he did appear to be having second thoughts towards the end. The dark humour was perfect for this anime; adding romance might have ruined the dark atmosphere. The ending involved the butler going into his true form without and real display appart from his eyes and boots. Ciel had his objective realised and the last episode fitted the perfect finish between the master and butler.
Black Butler II (TV) Masterpiece Initially, the ending to the previous season seemed to be completed and this season could be difficult to meet the expectations. The story immediately became appealing and created a great ending for this season with a small twist.
Black Lagoon (TV) Very good Great action and humour to go with it. Rock didn't change much from the beginning, but Revy seemed to be alright with him after a while. There was no big finish or specific event, only that the job was done and the episode just finished. Roberta should have easily won that fist fight.
Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage (TV) Excellent Very unique episodes with the most interesting characters. Rock seemed to have finally been promoted but it took him the whole two seasons for it. The producer should have just called this all one season, it would not have made any difference. There was little appearance of Benny or Dutch they somewhat drifted towards the end. Benny sure did excel when he given his air-time.
Bleach (TV) Excellent Kuchiki Byakuya is my favourite character here so my reference will more likely revert back to him. Overall, extremely good action season 2-3 and 9 are best. Swords are way better than guns any day !!
Bleach the Movie: Fade to Black (movie 3) Excellent The trailers proved to be very intruiging. However the anime was slightly disappointing when Ichigio was seen always in his bankai form throughout the movie. Byakuya had some good air time, and he really should have delivered the final blow beacuse Ichigo for reason seemed to have a better reason for it. Zaraki's role time the previous movie seemed almost exactly the same time in one to. He kept on fighting a losing battle, and laughing. Great Captain.
Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion (movie 2) Excellent Action was is very good, a nice movie for bleach fans. The soul reapers could have probably won the fight without their bankai, but I still liked them shown anyways, even when Zaraki took his eye patch off. It seems fitting that there shouldn't be two of the same zanpaktos and Hitsuguya couldn't possibly be out so it had to be other which seems abit harsh
Bleach: The Sealed Sword Frenzy (OAV) Very good Very nice combination of action and comedy for an episode. Shame Zaraki didn't do much fighting, although he would end up taking Ichigo's fight. Awesome ending and great bankais. The episode was complete when Byakuya just appeared out of that unreasonably fancy carrage, but every other soul reaper still looked nice in other clothes.
Blue Exorcist (TV) Very good A very gripping storyline for this anime. The human father had far more history to share but it was clear not all would be revealed. As for Satan, he had short but fair side of the argument, but it rather surprising at the very least; the worlds didn't really seems that different after a while. The ending was a short but it did carry out the message.
Bunny Drop (TV) Excellent A beautiful anime in terms of its concept as well as storyline, but the artwork seemed a bit more simple than expected. Daikichi definitely had a father's image towards the ending; the unique trait about Rin was her developed maturity and it really did come in handy for him. The comedy was integerated well; it kept the anime from being too serious and it was more relaxing. It is clear the changes that were shown as rewards through Rin. (Maybe 9.5)
Candy Boy (ONA) Excellent Candy Girl might have made more sense since there were no boys within the anime. There was little build up to the relationship, infact, Yuki and Kanade were virtually a couple at the start. The only downside was that it could have been a longer anime with a greater build up to the realationship and showing the after-math of the great couple.
Canvas 2 - Niji Iro no Sketch (TV) Good Very nice opening story and scenario with the childhood friend. There seemed to be very little build-up that related to the ending. As the right ending as it was, it appeared to be a twist rather than a satisfying one. Kikyou should have had the avourable ending according to the build. Hiroko either is completely ignorant or decided to be moronic by taking the harder path. Up until episode 23/24 there was no progress; merely was to kill time until the cheesy ending. Normally the anime would make up for some un-explained parts like the Art President's motorcycle with a greater cause, however there was far too little progress for it to justified. On a lighter side; it was a challenge to decipher some of the up-coming events although very difficult to base on stalled time.
Castle in the Sky (movie) Excellent The english version had a name: Laputa. The artwork was not amazing like some animes that were recently seen, but the story worked its way nicely, excellent adventures; with hilarious comedy and a touch of romance. Very fitting movie to watch for fans of Hayao Miyazaki. The ending song was very good too.
Cat Planet Cuties (TV) Good The anime combined sci-fi and romance which did not seem to perform as well: either not serious enough or little romance involved. The story was pretty good but mostly weak because of the mixed genres. Aoi seemed better of the three, Kio hardly got any airtime dispite his role of the protagonist.
Chaos;HEAd (TV) Good Very misleading anime, where the enemy was revealled until the later half of the seris. Takumi's choice was noble and a little selfish; at the cost of truth, paradise might not be so bad choice but there still could be exceptions later-on. The Di-swords were amazing apparat from the plain long sword that Takumi owned; with the negligiblt weight factor the design could have been more the other swords like the Black Knights used.
Chobits (TV) Excellent Unusual but a wonderful story. It has such a basic frontal purspective, the story gradually unfolded nicely, the shame was that Chi's past was a bit rushed but it was not a problem, still a great anime.
Chobits (OAV) Good Recap of episodes are better off short or subtle during the start of an episode rather than devote an entire one. Otherwise everything else was good.
Clannad (movie) Masterpiece A shorter, more focused on the main storyline of clannad, including the second season. Only small changes were made from the main story and some new parts that help intensify the original storyline. The director did a fantastic job of telling the story without making it seem a complete repeat. Wonderful story, where the comedy was extremely good with Sunohara to unbelieveably serious parts; they were prominent and shown perfectly. Wonderful story, very moving.
Clannad (TV) Masterpiece The reason for this anime being the masterpiece is for the ending performance, including the build-up and the comedy. Akio has awesome comedy sense, an actor of pure gold. Sunohara and Tomoya did have good part too. The alternate scenes were a different sense compared to Air, but the girls and romances were similar; but the happy ending is unreplaceable. The sample with Kyou and her sister was rushed but it did give a decent idea and that was general message I believe.
Clannad After Story (TV) Masterpiece Showing the hardship first made this anime unbelieveably moving. The only side character that had a good air time was Yusuke, and everyone else seemed to be less important. The comedy, as incredibly funny as is was, did not dimish the depressing scenes of some episodes. Most animes tend to leave the event of entering adulthood either up to the viewers' imagination or give small hints like after the ending theme; but for a change, the whole dramatic lifestyle change was shown beautifully through Tomoya and Nagisa. It was the better choice for the happy ending, they deserved it. The other world only made sense after the second season and it was definitely better than the first season, but the comedy was at its peak throughout both seasons.
Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth - The Animation (TV) Good The anime had a very serene atmosphere throughout. There was some minor comedy to fluctuate some parts of the scenes. There were some background to characters like Camille but there was not much development post to her encounter with Claude. The anime seem too short for a detailed and profound plot. (Maybe 7.5)
D.N.Angel (TV) Excellent The twist in "Sacred Maiden" was the best change the anime had I think. Hiwatari has awesome confidence which promoted the comedy aspect. The 26 episodes suits it and had very little draw backs.
Daily Lives of High School Boys (TV) Masterpiece Solely based on comedy, this anime managed to stay lively and funny throughout. The events, the main three characters pulled off were pretty realistic but in the weirdest scenario. It was difficult to have an ending to this type of theme, although it was not too important as it still retained the theme.
Dance in the Vampire Bund (TV) Excellent A truly subtle story, it started to be a good romance between the species but the enemies kept on changing and it became more complicated. Mina made a good heroine, dispite the front she made. Akira was weak, or made to look weak but most male protagonists in a romance style genre tend to be of that character. The true legacy was not as big as expected since there was a lot of build up for this. The twist from MR was unforseen, the director made this very unpredictable. The gothic, violent vampire portrayed was very appleaing for that class of species.
Death Note (TV) Masterpiece For once, 2 main characters dying really suited it. Detective is not a favourite genre of mine but still even I would call it a masterpiece. Awesome gothic theme which really gave the anime a good background.
Divergence Eve (TV) Good Very graphic and sophisticated thriller. The theme did start off with a lot of fan service (ecchi) but the plot did reveal itself and became a bit of a twist. The space theme was amazing and so profound which made the anime interesting but also confusing at the same time.
Dragon Ball Z (TV) Very good It was fairly long but otherwise, good action. Freiza's saga was particularly good for the super saiyan transformation. The very first one was i reckon the best. The transformations were all very good up to the end.
Dragon Ball Z: Bio-Broly (movie 11) Decent The sludge stripped the legendary saiyan's decent looks, and basically made him a monster. I was hoping the enhancements would only make him stronger but in fact made him ugly and weaker, no wonder he was defeated so easily.
Dragon Ball Z: Broly - Second Coming (movie 10) Good Broly was easily beaten and was fighting children too. Either Broly's weaken heavily or the Z fighters have gained crazy amounts of power ever since the first time. Action, although seems out of proportion, was still good anyways.
Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan (movie 8) Excellent Very powerful saiyan, Broly and appeared to have everything under controll. Action was really here. However the Z fighters had to finish him somehow and I feel it wasn't fitting to finish off Broly with a single punch. I felt maybe a fusion might've shown how strong broly really is; but everything else was fine.
Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn (movie 12) Excellent My favourite DBZ movie, Gogeta came late but there was Super Saiyan 3 there too so I loved the fights. Janemba is an awesome villain. Vaku was the best comedy part of the movie.
Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon (movie 13) Very good Exellent movie, with a great new villain. Story was pretty good and the sad fate of the brothers. Goku went super saiyan 3 which was the best part for me. Good title name too: Dragonfist Explosion.
ef: a tale of melodies (TV) Excellent Harsh and tragic events between the couple: Himura and Yuuko; but their part had not died there which meant every other couples in the anime managed to work, very commendable concept. Kuze had his own miracle and I support the outcome of his side. Very satisfied with the happy ending.
ef: a tale of memories (TV) Excellent Very subtle but an amazing build up. Renji's part of the story seemed to appeal to my side but he only had one choice and that was still difficult to handle. Hirono probably made the better choice by choosing Miyako, which did avoid incest dispite the event being more favourable. He did well to keep Kei as a friend.
Elfen Lied (TV) Masterpiece The blood and violence were perfectly suited for this anime, dispite it being quite graphic. The main theme carried out through was very smoothe, each episode being important to the anime itself. Ending had a good after-taste which naturally exellent animes should have.
Elfen Lied (OAV) Masterpiece Absolutely perfect episode that really completes the amazing anime, Elfen Lied. It had everything the main theme had, comedy, some bits of moe, abit of relaxation and the serious occasions. Can't find anything wrong with it.
Emma: A Victorian Romance (TV) Excellent The anime was subtle in the sense where most of the events involved simply a portrait of a person's face to distinguish the level of drama being portrayed. There was very little comedy and just small hints of romance; this gave the overall calm and serene theme. The first season appears to be a starter which would result in the second season being the finale; it did not seem to be a full storyline which could have made the second season independant of the first.
Emma: A Victorian Romance Second Act (TV) Excellent As it was predicted, the second was indeed a conclusion of the first. There was far greater tension shown here along with romantic sessions. Emma and William do have their differences and the his father's story managed to shed positive light on the matter. Eleanor deserved better from William; should there be an alternate scenario, then she would be favoured.
Fate/stay night (TV) Masterpiece There were some small unsettling parts, like how some of the servents were defeated too quickly; as if they were being immediately cut off to finish the storyline. Shirou started to add romance to anime and it seemed going towards the wrong path, just as Saber's thoughts concluded. Rin's Archer had little justice, he realy did appear to be taken off on purpose. Action was the main genre and such felicitous music overwhelmed the negative side of the anime.
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (movie) Good Dispite being the alternate story, it was not so believeable as the seris, Archer seemed more dark in this story and Shirou seemed to be stronger than Servants; Rin's victory was also no different. I did like Archer's story and how he came to be as a Servant, and at least he managed to get his answer; fulfilling but I was not too supportive of it. Lancer's role had improved in this movie, and he very much deserved the air-time.
Fortune Arterial: Akai Yakusoku (TV) Decent A mediocre story to start with that developed rapidly into an interesting plot. Towards the end, build up had been established well with Erika but the ending killed the practical idea of servants. Sei would have been better as a vampire considering his charisma. Season two would hopefully redeem the story.
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) Excellent The anime was a little graphic where the consequences seemed harsh. It was clear after all their encounters (Alphonse and Edward's) they were not going to receive something like a miracle; though it was a nice goal to pursue. It was a shame there was not much romance but there does not seem to be any room for it. Some very good characters like Louis Armstrong, but Pride was quite disapppointing.
(The) Girl Who Leapt Through Time (movie) Excellent The girl had a very tomboyish appearance for some unknown reason, but the idea of rewinding time was interesting. Her method of rewinding however was a little adventurous but comedic. The story gradually slowed down with a romantic air and with some good tension. The ending seemed to produced a positive turnout so there is little to complain about.
Grave of the Fireflies (movie) Decent A tragic memory of the movie since the message it gave was very realistic and vivd. The child was very unfortunate and the people are not much better. The movie had a good story but the charaters drawn did not seem as good.
Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor (TV) Good Opening song's amazing for start. The story seem to have a contrast between action and daily life. The action was more gorey rather than physical wich made it more of a thriller context. And not being a fan of thriller tended to make it lesser than what it could've been.
Haganai (TV) Good A good long term concept with a nice artwork to add some flavour. Although there was not really much romance or drama to complete the seris, it had to compensate with comedy; and that was fairly good. However putting a relationship with the club members would clash, so overall anime more or less worked but it was not so much to my taste. Ending seemed prolonged, as it could have been in the middle of seris instead.
Haruka Nogizaka's Secret (TV) Very good A great opening situation for their relationship to develop. Although, the main female does have all but the knowledge of handling boys dispite Mika who seems to have a profound idea. The rival, Shina does get her chance but he barely looked her way. Yuuto and Haruka do eventually get closr, but they dawdle far too much. The mother did bring up good comedy.
Haruka Nogizaka's Secret: Purezza (TV) Very good The whole season did show some good romance between the man character and Haruka, but Yuuto did spend a lot of time with outher girls. It would have been more favourable if he were to have time with her instead of just Haruka as the finale. The parents seemed to have good comedy aura; more history would have been welcomed.
Hayate the Combat Butler (TV) Excellent The anime started off very nicely, even just introductions, there was a catchy theme behind it. During the seris, there were comic scenes of other animes which fitted amazingly if one knew about the anime. Some words that were censored were a bit difficult to tell so only the idea of the comedy was carried through. Great portions of romance and comedy along with a master butler theme.
Hayate the Combat Butler!! (OAV) Excellent A great ova to add to Hayate the Combat Butler. The directer managed to get a decent plot working for such a small occasion. Plenty of comedy to distribute along with the intentional ecchi theme. The ova ended nicely with a touch of romance.
Hayate the Combat Butler!! (TV) Excellent The comedy still continues in this season as the main theme. There was little romance between each characters but the anime would be different if there was too much of it. Hayate's bad luck still continues to torment him. The narrator seemed to fade as the episodes continue from around 18. This anime is probably one of the biggest parody; incredble dose of comedy.
He Is My Master (TV) Very good Yoshitaka was very impressive, and ironically his maids seem to have gotten the best of him towards the end. He still has a great humour, and insanely-awesome ideas. If only he'd have abit more control; because I believe it was Mitsuki who was leading the story instead of him. I just felt he deserved the control.
Heaven's Lost Property (TV) Good The seris opened up with a unusally comedic/ecchi theme and continued with some decent comedy afterwards. The main problem with this anime was that it had similar theme to chobits, but with less build up to the events. The introductions to the anme had Eishiro give a small background of a similar story about to happen within the episode; he and Mikako would have a nice relationship. There was not a smuch romance as expected, but the story is setup for the gang onto a new season; where they finished saving Nymph.
Honey and Clover (TV) Very good The general idea of the anime seemed a little too spacious; there was far too much time between the characters' events, although it could not be not otherwise. The boys had their own problems but at least Mayama could have helped out Yamada a little more. Morita's general purpose seemed mostly for comedy but also may have been Takemoto's rival. The anime would have been better with more romance, and too much reminiscing. Nothing special about this anime, but it was done well.
Honey and Clover II (TV) Masterpiece Magnificent ending to the anime. After seeing the first season, it would appear to have a mediocre ending to follow; however the anime had a profound sense in this part. Comedy, story and even a somwhat happy scenario were at its peak. I believe that Hagu chose well, fitting ending. I would have also liked Ayu Yamada to have more screen time about her life without Mayama. Comepletely over-shadowed the first season.
Howl's Moving Castle (movie) Excellent Truly amazing artwork producted by Hayao Miyazaki. Unusual situation to make the protagonist an old woman, however her appearace did fluctuate throught the movie. The motion of the movie was terrific and scenes were very beautifully drawn. Ending was done fairly quickly but it worked well I think.
I Don't Like You At All, Big Brother!! (TV) Very good A very promising anime from its beginning themes. They comedy was mostly emphasised during the progression, even up to the end. The 10th episode did screw a few things up with the random characters and attempted redemption with the quick ending. Other that the last few episodes, it was great.
Ichigo 100% (TV) Excellent Exellent opening, and the characters involved like Saksuki were very good with the harem theme. If Manaka actually chose one of them, then there would not be the theme; as frustrating as it is for him not choosing, it was the very thing he was not allowed to do. I would think it was fairly obvious that he was inclined towards Toujou at the end.
Ichigo 100% (special) Excellent Great setting for which turns to be an awesome twisted plot. It's a shame Manaka and Toujou didn't spend as much time as I would like them to have, but it was still very funny as it was. He sure runs fast. I felt that Saksuki didn't have enough air time, however the special did seem to be complete like the movie was at the end.
Ichigo 100% (OAV) Masterpiece Absolutely hilarious from the very start till the very end. There does not seem to be much role for the new characters and probably would have been better without them. Everything else was just fantastic. Basing solely on comedy probably made this OAV very successful.
Inuyasha (TV) Excellent Probably the greatest adventure anime I've seen and Sesshoumaru being a favourite character is also part of it. Action was incredible with hilarious gestures along the way. Truly it should be a masterpiece if the director would tie up the last lose end I believe.
InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass Very good The first tme the couple's kissed which was very romantic part of the movie. I'd prefer if Inuyasha were to stay in demon form but human's not too bad. Decent comedy from Miroku too. If only Naraku was actually dead which may have appeared to be in the beginning.
InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler Masterpiece Sesshoumaru is the favourite character so this movie gives him good airtime. He never had anyone other than himself to protect, and even after the movie he does not change. I would have preferred if he ended up with the sword, but it would be far too biased and Sesshoumaru would become too strong.
InuYasha the Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Island Very good I would prefer if Kikyo had more part in it rather than the one scene, but that is more biased. Inuyasha is still as noble as ever, as far he goes at least. The action was good and I liked the flashbacks.
InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time Good Very ironic first movie, a bit harsh on Inuyasha to face the same tragic moment a second time. A shame Sesshoumaru did not appear for too long, but still even a little was good enough for me.
InuYasha: The Final Act (TV) Masterpiece The long-awaited finish for the epic Inuyasha came after a long time since the first season was released. It was exactly as portrayed in the manga: none of the essential parts were left out and they have introduced little fillers. Sesshoumaru finally achieved the ultimate goal and found his own settings. It was inevitable for inuaysha and Kagome, although the alternate with Kikyou was my preference. Sango nad Miroku having their own happy ending was absolutely fitting. Masterpiece since episode 1, definitely worth the wait.
InuYasha: The Tragic Love Song of Destiny (special) Masterpiece The english: The Tragic Love Song of Destiny. Even to start off with was an amazing title, rare to find nowadays. I was more inclined towards Kikyo rather than Kagome more simply because their past could've ended up together (Inuyasha and Kikyo). Their history up until these episodes was a great mystery and I was pleased to find them. It had a nice romantic theme to it, but one hell of a depressing ending, nothing less of a masterpiece.
ItaKiss (TV) Very good The unrequited love seemed to have a good atmosphere for comedy, however once it was returned then the comedy that the director made for Kotoko did not appear to work. Dispite the decaying comedy, it made way for the truly romantic events. Kinnosuke probably deserved Chris, there was no substitute. The mother came up with the funnist antics and expressions throughout the anime. Almost a masterpice.
Kämpfer (TV) Decent The story setting was a brilliant idea. It invloved numerous possible outcomes, unfortuneately the last couple of episodes had dragged down the plot. The action was more or less an excuss for the ecchi picutres. The last episode would have been better if the story had been completed. Another bad part of it was the protagonist unable to progress at all with any of the girls; there was no real romance, and the girls had their views one-sided. The sole reason for this rating is for Shizuku.
Kanamemo (TV) Good At first it was hoped that the yuri part of the anime would drive the plot forward, but it just only for a couple of minutes per episodes. Moderately disappointing but with some all round comedy managed to balance out. Yuuki and Yume could have been anime by themself.
Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox (TV) Decent The general theme of romance was there, but it was more towards on how Chizuru and her chest was allocated to Kouta, the ending was average with some decent comedy and thankfully, Tayura managed to get Akane's attention; he was very much under-appreciated so having his more or less happy ending was satisfying.
Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox (OAV) Decent A slow paced but smoothly delivered ova; the 2 episodes were mostly involving characters that were seen in the orignial seris. However, since everyone got a fair amount of screen time, there was little time for a particular couple to develop any further. Tayura managed to make good progress which was the main reason the ova turned out well.
Kanon (TV 2/2006) Very good Very moving storyline which was sparked off from Air anime. The comedy was exellent throughout the seris and the moe suited it (although the dierctor might have gone overbored with it). Makoto and Ayu's presence is not so clear but none of the characters died which might have made this more appealing than Air. A great anime to see generally.
Kasimasi - Girl Meets Girl (TV) Good Unusal and somewhat farfetched story base to have an alien within. The comedy was nothing to argue about but the situation for Yasuna was very depressing. Throughout the seris Yasuna seemed to be the favoured up until a limited time. The nicer and clean version was from the teacher and her happy ending. Decent yuri romance.
Kasimasi - Girl Meets Girl (OAV) Very good Somewhat over-throwing for an episode. Yasuna probably should have had the better ending, however she may have gotten the attention because of her situation/problem which maybe the reason for her outcome. (and it seemed not to be in her favour). Tomari showed a greater need, but the director did a good job of keeping the triangle going, dispite it not being in my favour. Nice spin-off and open ending.
Kiki's Delivery Service (movie) Very good Another great Hayao Miyazki production with a very innocent and fundamental foreground story base. The adventures scenery during the character's adventure are always something to admire, even in this movie. The ending wrapped up nicely I think.
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de (TV) Excellent Storywise, it was lacking detail between Ren and his father. Hato seemed to become less significant as the episodes progress. However, dispite the less airtime for the sister and the build up, the anime completely made up for in comedy. The fan service only added to the humour. The Colonel was flawless and was my favourite character. Hato's duality character was one the best parts of the anime. The story could have been better with a few more episodes.
Kimi ni Todoke - From Me to You (TV) Very good A solid romantic-comedy and school anime. Instead of a male, it is a female protagonist which sprarked off a good comedy baseline. Towards the end, the events slowed down and more or less expecting a good finish. The ending seems an episode short of completion, but it did make sense.
Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season (TV) Excellent it was shorter than its previous season, but by no means less in respect to the build up it created. The roles that Sawako and Kazehaya managed to show how unbelievable it was for their relationship to pregress. I did like Chizu's advice, and if she had intervened, there may have a smaller number episodes still. Her rival and the new comer did cause a fair bit of melancholy for the protagonists.
Kiss×sis (TV) Masterpiece The anime itself without comparing to the manga would make it incredibly unique. It is borderline hentai since they emphasis a fair bit on the post romance events. The director made a great job of the comedy, as well as the excessive ecchi scenes. The ending seems a little abrupt, there could still be more to the story after the 12 episodes, but up until that, it was very enjoyable.
Ladies versus Butlers! (TV) Decent Ridiculously amount of ecchi scenes which was shown throughout most of the episodes. The last episode could have been a romantic ending but the director decided to have a comedy instead. The plot seemed rather far-fetched though and required a consice combination of bad misfortune and fairly perverted ideas.
Lamune (TV) Excellent Short, laid back countryside theme worked well with both the of the main characters (Nanami and Kenji). The protagonist and the heroine were virtually like a married couple, and it seems the other characters get the same idea.
Love Hina (TV) Good Towards the end, I was saying the following:"Jesus, even arch-rivals would've married before those two even held hands by themselves". The manga gave more precise information and development, but anime wasn't bad, it was good to think about.
Love Hina Again (OAV) Very good Kanako was my favourite character so obviously this'll be biased, she was able to handle and almost control all of the girls in the dormatory, a shame that she wasn't picked, but was damn close.
Love Hina Spring Special - I Wish Your Dream Good There was better comedy here I think. The change of scenery had a much better appeal from my point of view. Even Keitaro seemed to performing better anyways. The ending did come as a surprise but I felt more of: "about-freakin'-time".
Love Hina X'mas Special - Silent Eve Good The christmas theme worked with the basic seris, but I still think Keitaro's wasting time with Naru, while there are plenty or girls who'd suit well with him. I suppose the ending did finish nicely with the heart-felt speech.
Lovely Complex (TV) Excellent The relationship progressed very beautifully in this anime; there were no filler episodes where the episode ended to up describing the side character. The story carried out out events between Koizumi and Otani is such a way that there was always something left for them to overcome instead shoving the main parts at the end with 13 odd anime tend to behave. The comedy was a bit dry at the start but it did improve. The side characters. The All-Hanshin Kyojin were fantastic.
Maburaho (TV) Very good Very nice artwork for the characters, storyline had a nice catch to it, halfway was intriguing: the event with Kazuki. Ending was awkward but I believe it supposed to appeal to the comedy side so no complaints from me.
Mahoraba ~Heartful days~ (TV) Very good Very nice concept for Aoba Kozue and her otherselves, which gave plenty of humourous occasions. It was a shame about Johnny where there was little history about him. The protagonist seems like usual kind-hearted, push over character and it seema to be a good personality for him.
Manyū Hiken-chō (TV) Decent At first it seemed to have pretty a ridiculous plot, although bold idea. It very much was a comic setting at the start and did not coincide well with the action. At the same time, it could have been gorey and would but be even less appealling, the ending made some sense but it was very basic. Some alright elements were in there for each episode.
Maria Holic (TV) Good The anime started off with a good promise of yuri-comedy. Her circmstance is very unusal; hives seems unbelievable towards the opposite gender. After a few episodes there were little changes to the main character or Maria and the ending involved mostly with introducing the new male character. Male character was bad enough without even involving him at the end. Comedy was alright but hardly improved as the anime proceeded.
Maria Watches Over Us (TV) Excellent Unhappy but also a moving opening. Sachiko didn't really deserve both but it did make her better, generally. I did not expect the rosario to be handed to early but then the main event can move onto where the real relationship starts. I did like the "soeur" system which seemed to be similar to Strawberry Panic. Sachiko seemed to be too arrogant, but she can really be a lot more compassionate if she went passed it.
Maria Watches Over Us 3rd Season (OAV) Masterpiece The third season had longer but very lively events happening. The episodes started out very slow placed during Sachiko's summer house and ended with the competative sports event. There was plenty humour and drama in the episodes; the plot was never boring and proceeded beautifully.
Maria Watches Over Us 4th Season (TV) Excellent Touko really did seem to be the villain at first but it turns out for the better for her and Yumi. Sachiko will not be far from Yumi so there are no gaps left. The new Roses will be taking over soon, although they still look too fresh compared to the two previous Roses before them. I really did like Yumi's card location.
Maria Watches Over Us Season 2: Printemps (TV) Excellent This season was more depressing where mainly the authoritative third years Roses had graduated; at least one of them was not too far away. The ending was harsh on Yumi due to Sachiko's selfish but understandable actions, the ending patchwork was done nicely ready for the next season. Sachiko does seem to be more fragile than Yumi, but they really do have the strongest bond there.
Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers (TV) Very good A fairly decent opening story for this anime with some possible good development. The Shingo's choice came as more of a suprise as oppose to an expectation. The first episode was expected to give the main hint, however it was not and the twist turned out to be enjoyable and felicitous. "Incest" could have worked in the same circumstance.
Mayo Chiki! (TV) Good It was a good start to the comic "BL" story theme in this anime. Sakamachi seemed a good all rounder protagonist and does liven up the situations created by Kanade. Towards the end, the episodes seemed more like fillers and hence why the story started to slow down, although it might be to save up some material to be revealed in a possible season 2,
Megane na Kanojo (OAV) Very good The anime had only 4 episodes, each about 13 minutes where the protagonists had some link towards glasses. The episodes invloved each a different character where their problems were shared and compromised. They had some decent romance and all ended up having a happy ending.
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV) Good The chronicle order was muddled which was very unique about the anime. There wasn't much progress of the plot after a certain point where Kyon basically realises that he ultimately must give way to Suzumiya. There was a good chunk of philosophy which was very intriguing. The english cast was very well suited for the characters and made this anime enjoyable.
Midori Days (TV) Very good At first the idea looks too unappealling for a normal anime scenario. Not long after starting to watch this anime, it became very pleasant, although the sister seems a bit unrealistic or too spoiled. The story had a great background to work on but there was not enough explanation not the primary plot. along the way, the episodes fit well with each other; good romance. There really should have been more episodes for the build up, since the last one seemed to be rushed.
MM! (TV) Excellent A masochistic protagonist was the greatest idea pulled of in this anime that came with a tsundere sadist. Comedy was shown very well between the main characters; also the director managed to put in some good romance to tie between the episodes. Maybe 9.5.
Mysterious Girlfriend X (TV) Excellent A very new and daring introduction to the relationship. It seems a little unnatural to see kissing but without the contact. The transfer of feelings was a good concept; very idealistic but still impressive. Overall a very nice romatic anime.
Naruto (TV) Very good This comment can only go up to episode 145, because the storyline completely cuts off and I started to dislike it. Action was good that time until shippuuden came out which over-shadowed this one, but it was authentic and funny.
Naruto Shippūden (TV) Excellent Completely better than the continuation of the Naruto seris from episode 145. The original storyline had worked smoothely from the start and still going, but there are still some fillers. Orochimaru could have never bested Itachi, not even if Itachi was on the brink of death. The Shippuuden ended at episode 138 for me........
Naruto Shippūden (movie) Very good A dramatic opening where Naruto "dies". However the event did unfold very nicely with great action from Naruto, Neji and Rock Lee. Towards the ending the finishing blow was fair but just bigger. The ending was the funniest part of the movie I think.
Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds Very good Sasuke did appear towards the end and strangely, there was little confrontations between Naruto and his rival (best friend). The opening story did start off well but there seemed to trail off and became irrelevant to the main storyline. The ending was perfect however.
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) Decent The mecha theme was not bad but the main character seemed far too inscure for that type of role. Asuka was pretty obnoxious but somewhat alright compared to Shinji. Shinji's father was pretty decent, he was very well suited for being the leader. The ending was terrible, far less action than expected; infact I do not think there was any.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie) Good A better, action packed ending and also very graphic where the destruction of the world seemed inevitable. The ending part with the survivors looked very dark.
Omamori Himari (TV) Good A good opening plot to start off a comedy/romance anime. There was some action but very little focus on it; more like side genre. Since the action was not too important, the ending outcome would be more romantic, and it was. Rinko was virtually useless, even as a primary rival for Himari, it seemed that Himari had more of Yuuto's attention.
One Piece (TV 1999) Masterpiece Cutting down from an essay in to a short comment; One Piece has the slowest pace compared to all of the anime. However, this adds a lot more emphasis on the pressure of the situations. Luffy has a great mix of comedy and seriousness; both would make him one of the greatest anime characters to have been created. Zoro would be the second favourite to Mihawk, the swordsmanship is incredible, it would be more thrilling to have air time for him. The second funniest character would be Mr. 2 or Bon Clay, a queer's comedy should not be underestimated (Franky would be third). The Straw-Hat Crew have each a depressing background which they all can relate. The second greatest antagonist would be Rob Lucci, he had to lose to Luffy for the seris to move on, but otherwise he is remarkable. The seris does not get boring, only funnier and more addictive; watching the episodes took very little time with such a good storyline.
Oreimo (TV) Very good The anime had a pretty annoying younger sister for the protagonist. The perfect middle school girl on the outside and an otaku on the inside very much created good drama scenes. She became much more appealing towards the end which was a good change. The last episode could have prolonged the tension towards the end; however the real ending was not cheesy. Easily a 9 with a couple more episodes.
Otoboku - Maidens Are Falling for Me! (TV) Very good The seris had a casual happy ending. There was little serious events but the concept was unique. Throughout the whole seris could been seen as comedy or romance, but ultimately it is not really yuri, so comedy is what the idea was about. The anime might have been better if it had more episodes, much more paced development rather than a last episode event.
Ouran High School Host Club (TV) Excellent Unique, reverse harem theme along with rich people made a great comedy combination. Haruhi's voice actress suited that role of the tom-boy protagonist. Kyoya Otori was pretty much in control of the whole club throughtout the anime dispite him being vice-president.
Outlaw Star (TV) Good I really think there should be a second season where: "To Be Continued" somewhere at the ending of the episode was displayed and I was hoping for better explanation. The action was very good but the ending just had too much information to digest in one go so I feel that the director seem pressured into completing it.
Pani Poni Dash! (TV) Very good There was not so much development as each episode went on. The main theme was comedy and that worked very well, as the kid teacher leading a class couldn't possibly be taken seriously. There as a good range of female characters although not much males, however that didn't seem bad.
Place to Place (TV) Very good A very mellow, peaceful anime. There was nothing dramatic unless it was the sake of comedy, and it was a good theme. The artwork also helped create a pleasant atmosphere, but there were some some nice comedic parts.
Please Teacher! (TV) Excellent I enjoyed the storyline where boundaries are yet crossed again with a hybrid this time. The "stand still" was a good base line for the setting and that worked into a good anime with a decent ending.
Please Teacher! (OAV) Excellent A great episode I think that completes the ending, rather like a specific scenario of which they have done a great job; instead of, like most animes, ending vaguely and up to the imagination of the audience.
Pokémon 2000 - The Movie (movie 2) Good This movie did some decent build-up compared to the first one and the pokemons involved seemed better. Lugia didn't seem as strong as I initially thought. That flute seemed abit lame but action was ok.
Pokémon: The First Movie (movie 1) Good For the first movie that came out was pretty good since mewtwo was quite unknown and had only a glimpse of it in the seris when he broke free. The battle between Mew and Mewtwo wasn't too bad but it ended up quite badly; where Mewtwo just went off and you never seen him again.
Pom Poko (movie) Very good Very colourful movie, nothing less from the great director: Hayao Miyazaki. The story had an interesting concept of racoons having the powers controlling chi and able to perform extraordinary tasks like transforming into a human. There was a clear message and that the wildlife do suffer as the forest is removed.
Princess Mononoke (movie) Masterpiece Awesome piece of movie. Adventure, action, and also fuedal theme; which makes the perfect anime movie. The huge animals and the war between the humans is quite brutal but it suited the movie. The soundtracks are also amazing. The landscape scenes were very beautiful throughout the movie.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (TV) Masterpiece From the very beginning, the theme was very dark and twisted. The lolicon and unusual display of the witches' powers seemed to be covered, like masked to hide its depressing nature. It was clear that Homura was saved by Madoka; though Akemi and the others continue to fight on. The whole contract sounds like an old fairytale. Entropy was used in anime and it was the best analogy. Compared to other magical themes, it seemed too realistic and magic was more like double edged sword as oppose to a gift. The anime was flawlessly directed from the start; at the same time it was a truely cruel portrayal of "Mahou Shoujo".
(The) Qwaser of Stigmata (TV) Very good The anime was daring as it was interesting. Having that theme made it difficult for any real cencorship to used without ruining the anime. The story has informed well of soma from breast milk as a source energy that elemental users can maipulate. This was a little difficult to review, since some of the ending events were tricky to obtain. There was really no problems with the story although there should have been better thought of the Qwasers working together as compounds and the antagonist seemed unfitting for the last villain: his element is was over-appreciated. It would be a good thought but a second season may be too much. Some unique comedy here.
(The) Qwaser of Stigmata II (TV) Good An anusual start, where the plot was already underway with just Sasha and Hana at first from the last season. The other characters revealed themselves over time and along with the story. The ending was pretty much a build up for the next season. The last episode did seen to unload a lot different possibilities withe some familiar characters, similar to a cliff hanger.
Rosario + Vampire (TV) Good The main part of the story was shown with a fair deal of fan service, which was pretty funny and entertaining. It's a shame the vampire was not as dark as i hoped it to be but then the story might have become a horror one. The last event seemed to show a vivid message and it worked nicely. The endings for most of the episodes resulted in Moka going for Tsukune's neck, and that seemed fiting for this anime.
Rosario + Vampire Capu2 (TV) Good Once again pretty entertaining ecchi episodes. There was more action in this season which made all the more excitment. The ending was better in this season, mostly due to the father being an authoritative character. The happy ending made the anime complete with the side of comedy.
S-CRY-ed (TV) Very good Straight Kouga seemed like he best one there, since the two main characters: Ryuho and Kazuma tend to fight each other endlessly. The powers they used and also the improvements that developed did seem enjoyable. There were the endings where Kanami described the events seem a bit strange.
Samurai Harem (TV) Good The comedy was great although the point where Yoichi gets beat up by Ibuki that was too similar to Naru and Keitaro situation. He was a powerful samurai but it seemed he was made weaker to let other characters like Ayame to show some of her martial arts ability. It was a happy ending but also quite entertaining along with Torigaya's strange role.
Sasameki Koto (TV) Very good The ending of the anime was the only flaw, and there was less romance than expected. There was nothing too memorable about the ending, except that it was enough to be a happy ending. Great comedy aspect from the characters although the anime looked serious from the beginning. Ushio finally came round to Sumi but it was very subtle.
Say "I love you." (TV) Excellent Opening episode was very interesting, an eye catcher. The main character looking similiarly to a young Byakuya had taken a liking to Tachibana. Mei's appearance gradually changed from a quiet defensive girl to modest girlfriend. It was done well, they had solid events between them, distinctively as a couple. Ending is normally difficult for this type of anime, no surprise it was more of a continuation. It also would have also been nice for more episodes.
School Days (TV) Decent The majority of the series seems a little boring as there is only the events of the relationship and not much else. The main reason for the low rating is for the ending where the main character dies. I believe that he made the right decision and "revived" Kotonoha. Sekai virtually messed up the ending by subtully tormenting Kotonoha, mainly by keeping Mokoto to herself.
School Rumble (TV) Masterpiece Hilarious comedy antics, truly an enjoyable romantic-comedy anime to see. It is a shame for Kenji's part since he kept pressing on for the girl who would seemingly never love him back. Yakumo or Eri, either of them would be perfect.
School Rumble Sangakki (OAV) Good Despite the story being descibed to be a happy ending to the fanatic School Rumble seris, it was not quite to my expectations. I would have prefered Harima and a few girls like Yakumo or Eri or have a happy ending too like Tenma. Comedy was still fresh that never disappoint me. I can relate to the director; if Harima were to be in a serious relationship, the whole character I like becomes totally different. Ultimately Harima has to stay single for the purpose of the comedy which seems logical.
School Rumble: 2nd Semester (TV) Masterpiece The continuation was as funny as school rumble gets, even though the relationsip is hardly progressing towards Tenma, but that would retain this animes theme. Having an ending may just turn it into a drama and it was much more successful as a romantic-comedy. There really is room for a third season to continue this but not finish off the anime.
School Rumble: Extra Class (OAV) Excellent A great middle section which carries on nicely onto the next season. Also an introduction to a great character: Yakumo, the younger sister. There was a very nice part pre-historic part which I liked. Poor Harima; never gets the attention he deserves.
Seitokai Yakuindomo (TV) Very good It was a lively anime with limitless perverted jokes or references. Besides that, there was little romance, or even drama. The director managed to have that many animtics without making a serious storyline is remarkable but at the same time he will not have a decent ending. There may have been a glimpse of romance but for the for the sake of its comedy, it was not going to develop. (Maybe 7.5)
Sekirei (TV) Very good Indeed ecchi and a good story to go with it. The clothes tend to be destroyed than anything else in that anime. The game master does have good taste in events, despite him having less screen time. A great start off seris for an epic battle.
Sekirei: Pure Engagement (TV) Very good The main result of the build up from the first season. Minato seems to have most of the strongest sekireis, and there was little battles than expected. No. 10's death was very unfortunate, at least not invain. There most likely be a third season; Minaka was such a villain and he can probably come up with something new.
Shakugan no Shana (TV) Excellent The fantasy part of the anime worked nicely. The Fang of Destruction had the best comedy lines throughout the episodes. Generally I really liked all of it, from good romance to graphic fights at certain extents.
Shakugan no Shana (movie) Good The plot was similar to the first few episodes of the first season. It might have been more interesting with an alternative plot. Infact, it virtually was a replay so the story was slightly more disappointing. Otherwise a reminder was not a waste of time, and the small changes were good.
Shakugan no Shana Second (TV) Excellent I had a feeling that this second season might be a let down, however I was comepletely wrong. The Destructive Blade, Sabrac was my favourite character although he wasn't shown in the majority of this seris. He even was alive after all the hits he took and looked untouched too. The ending went off well, and I reckon Yuji made the right choice.
Shaman King (TV 2001) Very good Yoh was a pretty decent laid back character. Len and his sister had good voice actors to suit their arrogance. The first time Yoh used furiyoku is the best scene and his crazy sized double medium was good.
Shinzo (TV) Very good Shinzo sounds better since Mushrambo was the main part of the first season, and the second season, Mushra was given more priority. However, Mushrambo was a good series for the age group, I liked alot before. Ending was satisfying; I wouldn't change anything.
Shuffle! (TV) Good The anime seemed to become a tragic one after seeing the second half. My choice would have been Kaede, Rin most likely left her for pity. The princesses seemed to be forgotten after the last part. The ending had some aftermath instead of leaving it upto the viewers' imagination which a concept too.
Sola (TV) Excellent Aono become my favourite character around halfway through the seris, so I was satisfied of her surviving. Very tragic but beautiful concept. It would have been nicer if he had not died, but then the anime wouldn't have been a masterpiece I believe.
Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke o - Anata to Koibito Tsunagi (OAV) Masterpiece - Careful.
Spice and Wolf (TV) Masterpiece A combination of romance and business at first looked uncompatable; however each episode had both topics coincide well. Lawrence's fear seemed to have subsided after being with Horo, but that was only revealled at the last episode. Horo, being just a wolf, had talent in business. They did make a good couple.
Spice and Wolf II (TV) Masterpiece A much more confident Lawrence was introduced for this season, and their relationship only improved through every town. Lawrence probably saw himself within Abe, if he were to spend his time without Holo in the future; this must have changed his dream and I can definitely call it a happy ending for this season for him and her.
Spirited Away (movie) Good Described like the Alice In Wonderland but japanese style, and I agree with that. The artowrk is very clear and realistic, not to mention that the old woman was quite ugly. Overall, it was very enjoyable, a great movie from Hayao Miyazaki.
Star Ocean EX (TV) Decent It seemed rather childish for my taste. The ending just cut off and probably a second season would've been very informative. But seriously, does Celine have to recite a poem everytime she cast a spell ?!
Strawberry Panic! (TV) Masterpiece Absolutely perfect. The traditional and somewhat religous sense of the theme played out amazingly. Not any point of the seris was it ever boring. There was no exaggerated situations like between a boy and a girl, and everything was incredibly profound. This anime was already a masterpiece before I saw the ending; which meant the anime only kept on getting better. Amane and Hikari had won the Etoile election, which fits well in the ending where also Shizuma and Nagisa were winners of their own catagory. It was great that the snow melted.
Suzuka (TV) Good Honoka would've been much better, Suzuka's too arrogant to be worth when there's someone else much better. Yamato's probably a least favourite of my characters but he is alright generally. The anime itself was good.
Sweet Blue Flowers (TV) Good The seris seemed very averaged in the sense that all the events were not particularly moving after the first couple of episodes. There was far too little rmace between Fumi and Akira and they only appeared to be simply friends. The anime only lasted for 11 episodes, and I believe there could've been more development if the seris continued. Sugimoto deserved words from Fumi on episode 10. The artwork looked mostly water coloured based, a good theme, but really my taste.
Sword Art Online (TV) Masterpiece A very intriguing plot to start off the season with some jumps between the dungeons, however the main story was brilliant with just the right mix of romance. Kirito and Asuna fit very well.
Tales from Earthsea (movie) Very good Incredibly amazing artwork, and the director does show plenty throughout the film. There was a good plot but it seems to be less eventful as it could have been, it might have been better as maybe a 13/26 episode anime.
Tayutama - Kiss on My Deity (TV) Excellent The opening episodes started off quite romantically, so already there was a good sense of that genre taking park very early. The action part was not so good; however it was not too important to the seris. The anime seems a bit short, there could have been more times for action to build up and more romantic scenes. There was mostly times where Yuu was getting along with other people instead of his wife.
Tenjho Tenge (TV) Very good The past was more involved than the current time. There might have been a bit of an exaggeration with the bloody scenes but the fights were pretty good. Mitsuomi was pretty decent, a shame that about the cursed from Shin otherwise he would be the best for more than just 3 minutes. Bunshichi's antics are amazing, best comedy in the seris not to mention good fighter. Aya and souichiro are pretty insignificant in the big picture, which was fine with me.
Tenjho Tenge: The Past Chapter (special) Good The movie was just three episodes lumped together from the seris. Exactly like from the series. It would have been better if there was some variation like Air: The Movie where Yukito lived in that. However, I prefer the past over the present in the seris so it could just be thought of as a reminder.
Tenjho Tenge: Ultimate Fight (OAV) Good The basic fight was there but there was no grand finish as I was expecting. The ultimate fight that would happen in the tournament would end up with the same results shown towards the end when Souichiro fought against with Mitsuomi. As much as I didn't like Mitsuomi to die, the theme did working better as him finished as the anime was. Shame there wasn't more time with Bunshichi.
This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (TV) Good It had a very nice opening, however the ending seemed to liven the pace up dramatically which was quite unexpected; since, towards the beginning, the theme looked laid back, and involved school lifestyle. The story did make good sense and ended well I thought.
Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~ (TV) Decent TAILS. The overall anime was mediocre most of the time; it would have been better to summarise into 13 episodes. There was more daily activity with some comedy which seemed to be killing time for romance that did not last for very long. Kasuga seemed to have the longest relationship but hardly changed since since the episode they met on his side. Amamiya started to Aoba somewhat late in the seris although it seemed unclear. Inukai had very little air-time, and when did, he said only a sentence at most. Some of the comedy was pretty good from the episodes.
Toradora! (TV) Masterpiece When Taiga come round to Ruuji, there was the countdown to the expected and satisfied happy ending. Ami seemed to have it the worst off in the anime, I believe, she might have been a good alternative to the female heroin. Kitamura and the other guys gave some great comedy. The anime has been slightly more violent and not just comedywise; there was precise seriousness but half of it came from the characters' selfsacrifices. Wonderful final episode between the Ruuji and Aisaka, although there was a minor hiccup when she transferred schools which felt unnessesary since they have proved their virtues. All but one event played smoothly in the last episode, the characters have a worthy future to strife for.
True Tears (TV) Excellent The title itself had a magical atmosphere, and that only expanded as the anime progressed. Ironic that Noe only cried at the end, dispite saying that she wished to "find" her tears. I would have liked more on Hiromi and Shinchiro after that general ending. There was difficulty in deciding whether the protagonist liked dancing but there are signs that he would be more interested in drawing. The only unhappy side was Noe's older brother; I would have preferred an alternative ending for him, but he did not seem depressed from his last expression.
Un-Go (TV) Very good A pretty fast paced anime, where a seris of crime mysteries were involved. There was alot of information passed out and some of it (purposely) contradicted. There was a distinct and good finale; it felt short, with only 11 episodes but he anime was not boring.
Vampire Knight (TV) Masterpiece A felicitous storyline for vampires. There was an air of arrogance and subtlty throughout the anime. The opening started great comedy between the Night and Day classes. All of the characters seemed to have a very depressing background or situation and it contributes very well to the gothic theme. Kaname, being one of the most powerful pure-bloods, was always kneeling before Yuuki; it was very unfulfilling seeing her not looking his way towards the end. Shizuka had her own cruel, undeserving past; I had no problems with her ways. Zero was generally the quiet one taking the pain, admirable but he mostly insignificant. As far as the story goes, it was flawless to the end. Even at the ending, Kaname still kneels showing an incredible display of modisty.
Vampire Knight Guilty (TV) Masterpiece The main character used to be Zero in the first season but now it has moved to Yuuki and Kaname. Incest between vampires seems immoral but perfect seeing as though they are already vampires. The main theme appears to be drama, the action is not as eventful as I expected. The main hit with this anime is the ending; Yuuki made the better choice but between her and Zero; their relationship seemed to have ended abruptly, although the results were very satisfying. Some subtle and normal comedy as mixed with the dark theme added a good taste to the seris. Exceptionally amazing anime of vampires.
We Without Wings - Under the Innocent Sky (TV) Very good A little distorted opening to the seris, but it was explain well. The characters had their own stories but it would seem to be difficult to draw them to a close. The very last character for "Haneda" was bad but the only logical ending. The idea of Condor was brilliant and his comic antics did liven the beginning. There was hardly enough time for romance, so generally it felt like a comedy/slice of life.
Whisper of the Heart (movie) Excellent A very realistic movie, a japanese version of a disney film which it resembles. It was a nice movie with great parts of comedy and some bits of romance and a good ending. There does not seem to be much downfalls to the movie.
Witch Hunter Robin (TV) Good Detective theme is getting more popular and super humans: witches, like Robin makes the plot very unpredictable. The team with Amon as the leader looked very successful. The ending seems abit distorted but there can be some vague but gives reassuring clues.
(The) World God Only Knows (TV) Good The anime does show similarity to Amagami SS or Yousga No Sora, but with minor twist. There was a good variety to heroines and a direct response from the director of the next season. It could be barely called a decent ending. So far, there was no romance between Keima and Elsee.
(The) World God Only Knows Season Two (TV) Very good The story continued in the same fashion as the preceding season, and hardly any parts to critisise. Alternatively, it would have been a good scenario for Elsie and Katsuragi to have some form of a romantic relationship between them. Otherwise in the case of the comedy genre, it did not disappoint. Kami-sama is quite the unique character.
(The) World Is Still Beautiful (TV) Good A short anime but with some good romantic parts in-between. There were times when the comedy was overpowering the romance though it have been meant to be this way.
Yosuga no Sora - In solitude where we are least alone (TV) Excellent Similar to Amagami SS where each heroine was given their outcome on particular episodes. Nao was the least favoured and Sora was under appreciated, her ending was a little rushed. Their relationship was very much looked down upon by Haru's peers; fairly uneasy amosphere for the ending.
Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (TV) Very good Hiei was my favourite character here. The action was the best in the third season. The artwork wasn't as good but that didn't affect the anime much at all. There were far too many puns from Yousuke which killed abit of the comedy. Overall, the action was the main theme and I enjoyed that, especially the last season.
Yu-Gi-Oh! (TV 2/2000) Good Battle City and the Ancient Realm (final season) were my favourite ones, but the duels did last abit too long. Tea (Te-ah) and Tristan were very useless throughout the seris but Yami's english voice actor's the best (Dan Green).
Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie (U.S. movie 2/2004) Very good At first, a movie for Yu-Gi-Oh seemed a bad idea compared pokemon, not to mention multiple movies were created. However it was very good since the plot was pretty good. Duels were alot faster than the series which made the story more exciting. Kaiba's trump card was pretty lame, luckily it only appeared in the movie.
