Ai no Kusabi (OAV) | Very good
Air Master (TV) | Decent | Awesome that it centers on a female street fighter. Reminded me of Baki the Grappler in that sense. (Plus the girl's name is Maki XD ) But that's where the comparisons end. I would have liked to give this a higher rating, but there are some stupid parts like most anime, and annoying characters. (Three!) I'm on ep 13, though I skipped the last three due to a stupid story arc involving one of the annoying girl's ( overly shy moe Mina) getting kidnapped. I along with a few others wish she hadn't been saved. >_< The other 2 annoying characters are Senge (clearly waay to young and immature to be in high school! they havn't explained that one yet) and this SCARY wanna be actress chick (who's name escapes me atm) obsessed with fighting Maki! Also a creepy yet amusing guy who seems to be in love with Maki and possibly thinks she's the reincarnation of a dead lover? (IMO) |

Angelic Layer (TV) | Good
Death Note (TV) | Very good
Dream Eater Merry (TV) | ||
Fairy Musketeers (TV) | Not really good | Probably aimed at kids, but I like it! It's cute and pretty interesting even for my age. I'm going more towards kid's anime because it doesnt' have alot of the b*llsh*t others do. (Echii, stupid romance, etc) Though you will surly hate Ringo- a VERY bossy girl who things she owns the main character. It does start to get stupid around ep 7 or so..with romance bs. I havn't finished it, and not sure if I will. Unfortuanly, Ringo starts to become a more prominant chacter, and it seems romance beween her and Sota is becomming encouraged. Once again, a charming series becomes dissappointing and distroyed with mean characters and bs romance. |
Fushigi na Koala Blinky (TV)
Hitsuji no Uta (OAV) | Awful | Sometimes they transiton manga to anime fairly well, or decent. Sometimes they botch it. They botched this one. |

(The) Big O (TV) | Good | |
Chrono Crusade (TV) | So-so | It's ok, but seemed short and I didn't care for the ending. Also, there is a moe type that sort of got on my nerves..she's a sweet girl but really has no business out with Rosette and Chrono on their missions. She needs much more training..and being thrown into dangerous situations when she's clearly not ready is NOT good training. Rosette gets on my nerves a bit too at times. Overall it's an ok watch, I wouldn't say don't watch, but don't go into it having very high expectations, that's all. |
Descendants of Darkness (TV) | Excellent
Dragon Ball Z (TV) | Good | |
Kodomo no Jikan: Anata ga Watashi ni Kureta Mono (OAV) | Good
Mirage of Blaze (TV) | Decent
Mirage of Blaze: Rebels of the River Edge (OAV) | Decent
My Sexual Harassment (OAV) | Decent | for around $22 dollars and what is supposed to be hard yaoi, I was a bit disappointed as this merely shows "TnA" (if you will) no full frontal, though the scenes are still erotic and the storyline is actually not bad. (Yes there IS a storyline.) Though it is sex based like most hentai. Still, fairly solid. (and I'm a tough critic. I have only found 2 hentai I like b/c they have decent storylines.) |
Ramen Fighter Miki (TV) | Very good | Just fun! Crazy fun! Good for all ages, though I believe there were a few uses of the word "da*n". And a little flirtacious behavior in some later eps. |
Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight (TV) | Masterpiece
Samurai Champloo (TV) | Good
Those Who Hunt Elves (TV) | Good

Fairy Tail (TV) | ||
Fruits Basket (TV 1/2001) | Weak | The girl is pathetic. The only thing I'll give the anime credit for is it wasn't as predicable as I though (I'm usually able to predict the whole plot/ending/parings right away, since anime usually makes it so obvious. I was actually surprised to hear (as I didn't finish it) who the girl ends up with, though I can't imagine WHY "he" (I'm not spoiling it for those who DO want to finish it) would like her. |
Glass Mask (TV 2/2005) | Not really good
Kaleido Star (TV) | So-so | Another one that I really didnt' give a chance to. The 'in your face' paring of Sora and Ken was not appriciated. I am so sick of predictable pairings in animes. It takes enjoyment out of it because you don't get to be suprised by who the main character ends up with. True, I don't really know she'll end up with him, but they practically throw it in your face in the first ep. Too predictable. I would however like to give this more of a chance when I'm in a different mood and can hadle predicable. The main storyline seems unique and what I did watch was quite cute and funny. |
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV) | It looked cute from the information I looked up here on ANN and reviews on other sites. But I saw a youtube video with it and it looked like eechi (girls in bunny suits, etc). So, I will not be watching, and I'm wondering why these things wern't mentioned in the ANN description.
Neo Angelique Abyss (TV) | So-so | I'm not usually into "magical girl" type things (which based on the intro it seemed to be kind of) but this one seemed somewhat promising. The discription on Crunchyroll and the intro grabbed my attention, and I was in the mood for a fantasy/magical girl type thing. I admit I didn't really give this anime a chance, because it seemed to be somewhat generic. And generic WASN'T what I was in the mood for. |
Sword Art Online (TV) | Weak | The concept is interesting ,many people I think compare it to . Hack (Haven't really watched it, save for one or two eps when it was on tv). I can't say if it's similar, but it is pretty cool how the kids are actually 'in' the game, and some of the elements, like learning moves . I like the fighting scenes a lot, and season one had an interesting story where the characters were trying to find out who took an object from a guild, and how people were killed in safe areas. So , there were interesting eps, however near the end of the first season it got lame and predictable..I'm not a fan of "romance" in shows as they never seem to do it right...I was hoping this show wouldn't really have any and just be action-y but it got lame. Also , the second season consists of typical "save the damsel in distress"theme which is way over done in media (Tv, games, etc) in my opinion. I saw all of season 1 and a few eps (4-5) of season 2. Just too "typical" for me so I lost interest and was disappointed in the formula. |
