Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (TV) I stayed at a hotel one time and stayed up for this becuase I heard good things about it. I saw like two thirds of the episode and I got tired of the long meetings and talk. I'm sure that it's good dialogue but I had to turn it down to not wake up my parents. I'm sure that if i saw more of it, I'd like it better

Bleach (TV) Good I started watching Bleach after Naruto. It's a great translation from manga to screen and the action is better in motion and the art style totally works. After a while though, it starts getting cliche and I did not like the pop music that sometimes starts playing in the middle of a fight. The story itself is alright, I mean the characters are likeable and all but sometimes the fights get repetitive. Ichigo always wins every fight in the end with a big overly-dramatic sword slice after getting all bloody and after all the build up of saying how powerful the guy is. well, I'm just rambling but I'm just saying that after a while it gets old. Another thing is the terrible filler arc. The bount thing is just plain boring. I wonder if they're ever going back to the manga stories.
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan (TV)
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV)
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 (TV)
Death Note (TV) ehh I saw a chunk of this but i got weary of the seriousness of it. Everything is serious without any humor or anything. I has a good premise but it's tiring to watch. I had to force myself to watch it because it's so tense and none of the characters are likeable.
Den-noh Coil (TV)
Fate/stay night (TV)
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (TV)
Fushigi Yugi (TV)
Gantz (TV) Not really good Weird and pointlessly explicit. What's the point? No questions were answered and lots of characters died in the process. What's the point? Art was good though. Characters were very unlikeable. Battle Royale like maybe?
Genshiken (TV)
Grave of the Fireflies (movie)
.hack//SIGN (TV)
Hellsing (TV) Decent seems cool but overly dark
Karin (TV) Decent
Kino's Journey (TV)
Koi Kaze (TV) Not really good I guess I should explain. This is just not for everyone. I know some ppl love this stuff. I'm just not one of those people. I do not like forbidden love stories. sorry. I just don't. I really hate them.
Kurozuka (TV)
Last Exile (TV)
Last Order Final Fantasy VII (OAV) yawn... i got bored. i've played the game so it's nothing new. i really think FF7 is overrated. I liked FF9 better. still it's alright i guess. i'd rather see a movie come out of final fantasy 9
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (TV)
Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit (TV)
Moyashimon (TV)
Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water (TV)
Naruto (TV) Good Naruto is huge. Currently there are over 200 episodes and more than half of them are not worth seeing. It's one of the best manga to show translations. The character development is great and it makes you really care about the characters (but, wow those kids are more screwed than the kids from Evangelion). The art is pretty for the most part although I wish they'd cut back on some of the CGI effects. Well, guess my only problems with it is the fillers, the for the most part video-game-like and predictable fights (Naruto always ends the fight with a Rasengan or the U-zu-ma-ki Na-ru-to combo thing), and the fact that the kids seem overly strong (I mean they just kill like all of the adults with ease) anyway... go Gaara
Naruto Shippūden (TV) Good
Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow
(The) Place Promised in Our Early Days (movie) I liked voices from a distant star and this seems to be similar
Planetes (TV)
Pokémon (TV) Weak This was one of the first animes I saw. I never watched it religiously and I only saw a few episodes but that was enough. There is no point to it. It just took a premise and ran with it and it was a cool idea but it reamains only a childish fantasy.
RIN - Daughters of Mnemosyne (TV)
Robotech (U.S. TV) Robotech was my first anime and it's not bad although it is explicitly cheesy. I only saw the macross arc and part of the modpedia arc. The characters are likeable and the story is good but I wish that they would have shown the animes as what they were which was unrelated to each other.
Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996) Good not as good as the manga but it's the same story. fillers suck
She, The Ultimate Weapon (TV)
Soul Eater (TV)
Sound of the Sky (TV)
Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE (TV)
Witch Hunter Robin (TV)
Yu-Gi-Oh! (TV 1/1998)

5 Centimeters Per Second (movie)
Akira (movie) Good It's a strange one. The story is alright I guess but my main complaint is that the main character is not likeable at all. Really none of the characters are. It's a cool movie (a little strange at the end). But it can be hard to watch because I never cared about any of the characters.
Baccano! (TV)
Basilisk (TV) Decent A bunch of people fighting and killing each other. All the characters I liked were brutally murdered. What's the point? Or is that the point? I guess it shows the futillity and pointlessness of the whole feud but gosh it dragged on and on just to show more people getting killed. definetly not in MY top 10.
Battle Angel (OAV) Very good read most of the manga so I want to see this
Berserk (TV 1997) it's is overrated, too dark, and the fights are relatively uninteresting and the story moves incredibly slow. it is a good story in retrospect but it took too long to get to the point. the manga is sooo much better even though it also suffers from similar flaws.
Black Lagoon (TV)
Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage (TV)
Bleach: The Sealed Sword Frenzy (OAV) So-so it's alright if you want more of the bleach style fights. none of the characters changed and the story was just an excuse to have fight scenes.
Blood+ (TV)
Castle in the Sky (movie) Excellent I loved this movie. The music, animation, characters, are all beautiful. The one thing that I don't like is the fact that the pirates wear bright pink pants.
(The) Cat Returns (movie)
Chibits (special) Decent
Chobits (TV) Very good eh it's really cute and light hearted and it has an interesting story. It's not really my type. Still good though
CLAMP School Detectives (TV) Good Clamp School is a very fun and cute anime. The three main characters have very cute adventures and very few things are ever taken seriously. It's all fun and games and it never fails to make me smile. That said, it's not very deep and doesn't try to be. The characters just want to have fun while being sickeningly cute.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (TV)
Cowboy Bebop (TV) Very good This show is just cool. It has a cool feel to it and the jazz flow is nice. The characters are likeable enough and it has a good balance of action and humor. I do wish that the story ended up somewhere. It brought the whole audience on a ride just to leave the characters seperated and fairly unhappy. What's the point? Yeah the past caught up with all of the characters but I'd would've like to have seen it concluded in a way that was more fullfilling. Really liked the music though.
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie Good wish it developed the characters more than it did. I wanted the characters to take a whole arc and change more by the end. It's more like a really cool episode of the show than a movie. it's still really cool though
A Detective Story (OAV) So-so
Elfen Lied (TV) Good Eh the mix of naked people and extreme violence. I guess if you're into that stuff it's alright. I did not like the CGI vectors but other than that, the art is good. The story is meh. I loved the Nyuu as a kid sequences as they were the only light-hearted scenes in the entire series. It's overly gloomy and dark. I do not know where the story was supposed to go and in the end it was basically a powerful and apathetic naked chick vs the entire world that was mean to her. well except one guy who was nice but I mean some of those other people that Nyuu killed were innocent and so nothing was justified and whatever message there was was missed. Some people are saying that characters were all sympathetic. I kinda disagree. I feel that what happened to Lucy was unfortunate but it didn't justify anything she did. It showed the evolution of these mass muderer girls which was interesting but really no one was likeable except maybe Mayu. Some like these gray characters but I wish some justice was served at the end and it didn't come full arc. Sins were not paid for and many are left unhappy. You can rationalize actions as much as you want but the end result is the same. What the diclonus did is still evil.
Elfen Lied (OAV) Decent a little more light-hearted than the show and it explains why Nyuu didn't kill that researcher dude in the beginning. still depressing and dark
Ergo Proxy (TV)
Eureka Seven (TV) Excellent One of my favorite animes of all time, it is a near perfect blend of action, character development, and laughs. The characters are loveable and the plot is strong. While it is considered a mech anime, it is at heart a soap opera. A very good one though. The main focus is not the fight scenes but the very very young family (Renton, Eureka, and kids). Even the battle scenes exist only to materialize the feelings of the couple. The music is great except for the music that the characters actually listen to (the music of the world is bad techno) The whole idea of mechs on surfboards is a little gimmicky but after a while I just accepted it. At times the anime is explicitly cheesy which is a bad thing but I actually enjoy it. It makes me laugh and as long as it entertains me the show has served it's purpose, right? Anyway I really love Eureka Seven. It did have an ultra cheesy music video ending though... hmm still love it though
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (movie) Decent Pretty graphics. meh story. It's a videogame and the movie seems like a video game and I wish it was more than a videogame. The story was not powerful and few characters changed. Pretty fight scenes and a lot of flashy stuff. cool and all but nothing more
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (US CG movie) Not really good
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) Very good I didn't like the ending. Besides that, it was alright. I really wanted the two brothers to have a more happy ending. The characters were too likeable to have them seperated.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie - Conqueror of Shamballa Decent It provides a somewhat satisfying end to the series but I just don't care for the concept of Ed coming to our world.
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo (TV) Very good
Ghost in the Shell (movie) Good Good but overrated. Didn't other characters use the cloaking without having to oh well whatever.
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (movie) Decent It's a really pretty movie. It seeems really long though. It moves fairly slowly and there's a lot of blah blah blah. It took me a while to figure out what was going on.
(The) Girl Who Leapt Through Time (movie)
Gunslinger Girl (TV) Excellent I really liked this one. It was even better than the manga in my opinion, everything was just fuller. The action and the art was great and the development was excecuted beatifully. Wish it were longer.
Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino (TV)
Gurren Lagann (TV) Excellent
.hack//Unison (OAV)
Haibane Renmei (TV) Excellent
Highlander: The Search for Vengeance (movie)
Howl's Moving Castle (movie) Very good o-kay, it's still cool. kinda weird but cool. the art is as pretty as ever. I think I ought to rewatch it
InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass So-so sorry, not a big inuyasha fan and I mean what changed? In the end, they were back where they started
Kiki's Delivery Service (movie) Very good
Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren (movie segment) Decent it's not really a full movie but what's there is there and it serves it's purpose in the movie. It would've been interesting to see a live action version but this was still cool
Kurenai (TV)
Legend of Crystania - The Motion Picture Weak I didn't get it. The art style was completly switched up and I didn't like it. They had characters that died already die again and the Piertoss's name changed. It doesn't make sense and I don't quite see how it fits within the Lodoss wars world. I understand that it's a different island but I wanted some connection to be there. The story is relatively uninteresting and I really didn't care about the characters since I didn't like the new ones and the old ones were changed so much.
Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro (movie) Good fun ride. it's cool. it's sweet. not too deep
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV) Very good trippy. fun. twisted. whimsical. entertaining. and nothing more. it doesn't try to be. i saw the first episode almost a year ago and stopped watching halfway through. it was a big put off for me. i wish that they actually showed the episodes in actual order. the story is short but fun and there's really not much else to say. it's good but i also don't feel that it deserves the hype
Metropolis (movie) Good
Mononoke (TV)
Mushi-Shi (TV) Excellent if poems could be animes, they would be mushishi
My Neighbor Totoro (movie) Excellent Miyazaki hasn't lost touch with childhood (I think I'm too young to say that). It's great. great sense of wonder and magic.
Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel (movie 2) Decent
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (movie) Very good entertaining piece enviromentalist propaganda. Manga is deeper and more epic but this is a good slice of it
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) Good This was a pretty fun ride but what the heck? I don't get the ending at all. It was fun to watch but I don't think it was anymore than that.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth (movie) Good
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie) Good
Ninja Scroll (movie) Good
Ninja Scroll (TV)
Noir (TV) Good Slow and drawn out. Fight scenes were cool for a while. I liked Chloe alive better than dead. Acceptable ending. Great music. All added up, it's just alright. not a waste of time though
Now and Then, Here and There (TV)
Paprika (movie) Excellent
Pom Poko (movie) Good
Porco Rosso (movie) Very good After rewatching after like 8 years, I like it more. The story is more clear now and I found it very entertaining. It's not Miyazaki's best but it's better than a lot that's out there.
Princess Mononoke (movie) Excellent Beautiful. Music, characters, story, wow. I just wish that the guy could go back to his home village. Very epic
Program (OAV) So-so
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (TV)
Record of Lodoss War (OAV) Decent It's a fantasy adventure anime and that's pretty much it. It's a pretty entertaining one though but not much more.
Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight (TV) Good Continues with Lodoss wars and it's pretty much more of the same. It's pretty good but nothing amazing. Good interesting enough characters and action make it entertaining enough to want more.
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal (OAV) Very good Pretty cool. I love ruroken although some of it's ideas have become cliche. This is the great backstory of it all. This is what makes you say "ohhh so that's where he came from" I liked the manga version better though. I did notice the objects that looked too real which seemed out of place. that was no good. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- After second viewing... I appreciate this a little more. not many anime shows can have the same effect as this OAV. The music is a complete necessity for this and don't get any version that doesn't have the music (they exist). after seeing it again, I feel a little closer to kenshin and thus I owe a greater debt to this OAV. quite good if not excellent
Samurai Champloo (TV) Excellent I liked this better than Cowboy Bebop. Characters were likeable and the plot went somewhere with a bittersweet ending. The fight scenes were well done and the style was once again, cool. It was funny, serious, and everything in between. Really reminded me of the Boondocks which is another great show.
Scrapped Princess (TV)
Second Renaissance (OAV) So-so
Speed Grapher (TV)
Spirited Away (movie) Excellent best music of any Miyazaki movie. Imaginative.
Steamboy (movie) Good takes way too long for it to pick up but when it does it's not all that bad
Sword of the Stranger (movie)
Tekkonkinkreet (movie)
Time of Eve (ONA)
Trigun (TV) Good got interesting in the second half and then the ending was disappointing. It's like a western ruroken with a dash of trinity blood. interesting.
Trinity Blood (TV) Very good uh couldn't it have been done without CGI cause it looked really bad sometimes. The story was great but took a while to pick up. The last couple episodes didn't go anywhere. Abel was really cool. I wish it stopped before it turned bad. i didn't mean to rate it very good (on par with samurai x by my rating) it's really not that good. it's just good
Voices of a Distant Star (OAV) Good Interesting premise but that's all it is. It never grows beyond that. Nothing happens. It's just an idea. The characters don't change at all. but then again, what could I expect, it's a movie the length of a tv show. still if it were longer and the story moved, it would've been great
Welcome to the NHK (TV)
Whisper of the Heart (movie)
