SilencioParis's Anime

I'm a French/Spanish native speaker, so i apologize in advance for my funny sentences and use of words in English.
The ratings here are higher than those of finished anime (the ratio may vary, as a rule the less i've seen the higher i've rated 'just in case') because, after all i haven't seen them till the end... though i often doubt i should have.

Will not finish Rating
A.D. Police (TV) Weak
Animation is really poor, graphics are dated, and the editing/montage is awful, that serves specially bad action scenes... well, at least characters are ok for kids, but the plot is not so interesting even when you're young... Le doublage français est pas trop mal, ça vaut l'coup de l'remarquer.
Adventure Kid (OAV) Bad
Dated and weak enough to fall asleep.
(The) Adventures of Kotetsu (OAV) Bad
Nothing new, waste of time.
Adventures of Little El Cid (TV) So-so
This anime and i were too old already when i've seen it, but as far as i can tell it's not so bad...
(The) Adventures of Tom Sawyer (TV) Good
First time i've seen this one, i was young enough to enjoy it till the end. Now i've just seen the 12 first episodes (caus' i didn't found subbed/raw episodes from there and french dubbing is more dangerous that it seems), and i must say that, despite old and dated graphics and music, animation and whole story are even today average; characters and episode stories/designs being even very good, and not just for kids. Tom Sawyer is a difficult story to tell without being too violent/complicated for kids or just boring, and this anime succeeds in being neither.
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero (TV) Weak
Decent production, and kind of fun in its parodic intention, but definitely not enough for me. But the true issue are those characters, unoriginal and stupid enough to kill me of boredom (in less that four episodes to be precise)
Afro Samurai (TV) Weak
I don't know, why don't we see Samurai Champloo (even one more time) instead, ok ?
After Class Lesson (OAV) So-so
Average production, average story... futsuu - - I must say, though, that the first episode is kind of funny cause the main character has a looser-aura that change through the events, but then... well, nothing new and gets boring.
After... The Animation (OAV) Weak
Characters and graphics are average, but story sucks so much, it's hard to understand why have they cared to write one... (I've never managed to see the second oav)
Agatha Christie no Meitantei Poirot to Marple (TV) Weak
Characters are as predictable as the mysteries of each 3 first episodes i've seen. The true reason i've didn't go for the fourth though, was the weak graphics, and over-naive details as the duck or the dullness of the 'culprits'... Finally, i don't know if it's the same in Christie's books but, although there are some pieces of morality, they really don't seem fair to me...
Agent Aika (OAV) Bad
All and everything (animation, graphics, characters, story, music...) is boring in this anime.
Ah My Buddha (TV) Bad
Perhaps the same anime but in a die-hard christian convent-monastery or some shit like that coul have been funny for some episodes...
Ah! My Goddess (TV) Not really good
Well... perhaps i lack sense of humor, i don't know but... Even if there are always one or two things funny in every episode, the whole stuff seems to me aimless. Romance is ok, but too classic romance isn't. Supernatural may be ok, but if it's over-cute supernatural it feels like a cheap one. And last but not least, femininity is depicted so simple-minded i could really laugh at it but I'd feel kind of bad if i do so...
Ai City (movie) Not really good
Story, characters, etc, they're all dated and weak enough to make the rare good ideas suffer. But, seriously, just look at those graphics and animation, despite what i've said, they're quite an experience, i don't know what to think about them... ^^'
Ai Shite Knight (TV) Weak
Again, i've seen some of this in my young days, when french dubbing and the originality of girl-targeted anime could be amusing for 5 minutes, but seeing it years after is harder. Everything is so poor in this anime (excepting some symbolic themes not childish enough to fit with the rest), that it becomes almost funny... Again, the worst thing being the kind of men-women relationship model that it promotes, despite the characters are not so clumsy, their common story definitely is.
Ai Yori Aoshi (TV) Not really good
Well, despite the quite good quality of this anime, i just can't bear that girl over-submission and therefore the so-called romance that the male character can have with that kind of doll produced by his worst childish fantasies. Just a piece of mental masturbation, and i already know how to do that by myself.
AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission (OAV) Weak
It's a little less boring than Agent Aika... but, well, that doesn't make much of a difference.
Air (TV) Not really good
This is a very well-produced anime, specially the interesting psychological and emotional topics, excepting perhaps some characters who lack design, some lazy scores here and there, but, it's ok. The true issue, to me, is every single piece of it is made in order to show cuteness beyond bearable extent. After 8 episodes i became sick of it, really. A pity.
Air Gear (TV) Bad
I like roller skating, but this anime just spends too much time on fan service, and a quite coarse one.
Ajimu - Kaigan Monogatari (ONA) Bad
The only originality here is perhaps the ukulele, admitting that you'll really listen to the 'music' while being distracted by the unlikeliness of the characters and cheap fanserv.
Akikan! (TV) Weak
Could be worse, with that kind of plot but... it's not enough to keep me awake. Besides, the girl=can thing could have been, but isn't, just for fun, it really emphasizes the material and over-passive "nature" of girls in this anime, and unfortunately in a lot of others.
All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku DASH! (OAV) Awful
Too old and cliché, too bad written, too bad designed... just too boring.
Amazing Nurse Nanako (TV) Awful
Amazing... would have been rated worst ever if graphics and plot were a little more stupid but i couldn't say they didn't try their best. I suppose it can be seen as a watered-down metaphor of typical of late XX century japanese bdsm (japan-us inferiority complex, women=stupid non-human dolls, etc) but it is really a good thing ?
Amuri in Star Ocean (OAV) Awful
Lots of confusing 3D computer graphics in a sea of lolicon-aimed cuteness (or at least pseudo-childish-content-lovers-aimed cuteness). Maybe i should try this on acid... or forget about it and save my soul.
Anal Sanctuary (OAV) Weak
Poor graphics and lack of originality make it boring
Ane Haramix (OAV) Weak
Overall quality isn't so good, and there's a lot of pointless dialogue. Plus, girls are way too noisy.
Anejiru The Animation - Shirakawa Sanshimai ni Omakase (OAV) Weak
Basic porn.
Angel Blade (OAV) Weak
Some fun, but it keeps repeating itself, and since i'm not really of the "lots-of-acid-colors-full-of-moe"-kind, t'was pointless to see more of it.
Angel Heart (TV) So-so
Production value and city hunter nostalgia can save this one from quasi-oblivion. Everything is high-quality, but what for ? Slow stories full of pathos and tears, where the weaknesses already existent in C.H. aren't even fixed. Worth a try if you're not sleepy.
Angel Sanctuary (OAV) Weak
Two interesting axes: Fight against god and gender. Unfortunately, script is messed up, art is overloaded, and sound editing is pitiful.
Angel's Feather (OAV) Bad
Excepting some good graphics (assuming that you can bear the 99% shounen-ai cliché) , nothing is good/makes any sense in this one.
Anne of Green Gables (TV) Decent
Either me or/and this anime were too old to allow me to see all of it but, as far as i can tell the story and characters are well-made, and even if dated, the rest is decent.
Arc the Lad (TV) Weak
Graphics and animation are bad, characters immature, story and atmosphere quite boring, but because i didn't see all of it i overrated it a little...
Area 88 (TV) Weak
Some good ideas, but if the aim was to be realistic, a lot of points aren't plausible ; or, if the aim was to make a dazzling adventure, it's slow, bad-written and with dull characters. Either way the music is itself a piece of... well, you just have to hear it to understand.
Aria the Animation (TV) Weak
Perhaps it's not as stupid as it seems at the first glance, and it's indeed not bad quality animation and graphics, but... what's the point of putting so much exaggerated kindness/cuteness in a so improbable setting ? To compete with sleep pills industry or to turn young people in zombies ? To me this 'moe' is one of the biggest problems in anime, and this series is kind of an average example.
Ashita no Joe (TV) Decent
To me, it's too long to see this kind of dated material, but as far as i can tell, it's decently-produced and interesting, though extremely classical plot and setting. Perhaps means more to a these-years Japanese indeed.
Astro Boy (TV 2/1980) Good
Close enough to the master's work, which means dated (graphics, animation, music, etc.) but nice, specially for children, and even for grown-ups, as the stories have often deep and appealing ideas. To me, Tezuka's works are like a drug, so i resisted the temptation of seeing 51 episodes without a good excuse like having a child with me or so, fearing to come back to earth after that ^^'
Asura Cryin' (TV) Weak
An example of 2000's "cheap" anime, i mean a cold-marketed and yet well-produced one, with all the themes that statistics told they'll fit to a 2000's shounen (let's see... moe/stupid high-schoolers solving their issues with over-killing robots responding to ghost moe/stupid girls, every episode telling a so-called part of explanation concerning the extremely complicated script leading to an impossible climax in which nothing will make any sense, all of this drawn in waves of fanserv and techno-mystical chatter)
Attack on Titan (TV) Not really good
I just couldn't reach the end. Not because of the blockbuster general 'flavour', even if the music is awfully redundant and pointlessly 'grandiose', graphics and animation balance that easily. Nor because of the characters (as far as i can tell i like the female ones better than in most shows), or the setting (kind of an original combination of zombie movie with 'true' medieval and slightly mecha genres). No, the true issue is to be forced to hear those tirades, with such an archetypal acting and so little to tell that they repeat themselves again and again... honestly, they could have just recorded the same 3 or 4 monologues and with some sound editing they would have been done for 90% of the show ! Just in case people can survive this, i tried not to not it so low but...
Avenger (TV) Weak
A 'why not ?' setting, but everything else is low-quality, therefore it gets boring soon enough.
Ayakashi (TV) Weak
Plot and characters are far too classic, and graphics, music, animation are weak. Result: boring.
B't X (TV) Bad
Dated, childish and too classic. Not a big deal if it was well-done, but it definitely isn't.
Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts (TV) Not really good
Graphics and animation are good, regarding story, some ideas are nice, and sometimes it's funny. Unfortunately, that's rare, because everything else is terribly common and cliché, i almost fall asleep at the third episode.
Baki the Grappler (TV) Weak
Ok, it's dated, that's one thing. But besides, this anime has weak graphics and uneven animation. Worst of all, the story, characters, and so on are 100% cliché. There's no much left to make it good... but i've overrated it a little considering i'm not 10 any more.
Bakuman. (TV) So-so
Focusing on the romance and friendship themes are ok, but why so naive ? I'm convinced i would have finished it (forgiving the not really good graphics, animation, music and dialogues) if the manga theme was more important. This is a kind of sport anime, insisting on competition and personal views (who cares your manga'll be ? the important thing is to be married and being no. 1, no ?), which are not my point of view on sports and life in general.
Banner of the Stars (TV) Weak
Same problems as the first gig, that would be enough to pass this one, but it's aggravated by the pointless military speech (considering none of its contents are likely or even thrilling) and boring scripts.
Basilisk (TV) Weak
Graphics and animation are ok, but that's all there is to it. Oh yes, there is a specimen of stupidest-anime-girl-type character, and also a bunch of pointless fights between freaky so-called ninjas (for which naruto exists already, and considering how much i loooove naruto...)
Be Lifesized My Lover - Mechanic Minami vs. Human Minami (OAV) Worst ever
I just hope they had fun while doing this... thing, personally i never made it to the end, despite its 20min duration.
(The) Big O (TV) So-so
Interesting setting, quite good production and lots of inspiring influences. Unfortunately, story (very weak script) and originality aren't here, spoiling all those merits. Still, it's kind of a revival of old-school mecha mixed with Bruce Wayne, so i must say it's funny.
Bihada Ichizoku (TV) Awful
omfg... (not ugly enough to be worst ever though)
Binbō Shimai Monogatari (TV) Weak
Well done, but i just can't stand those silly and so-called childish atmospheres that makes you feel like living in a children asylum where everything is sooo nice and sweet that you want to run away from it as fast as you can. Besides, i hate the character design, what's with those red cheeks for f***'s sake ?
Black Cat (TV) Bad
Even if animation and art are ok, battle scenes, plot, general setting and character design are so common that it's a miracle if i didn't fell asleep during the two first episodes. What is worse, the script is almost always stupid, which i suppose is they thought the young who'll see this are...
Blackmail (OAV) Bad
Nothing is really good, but the pitch perhaps. Even so, the rhythm and the 'soft' censure are so ridiculous that it's no use.
Blassreiter (TV) Weak
CGI is pitiful, story and script are jokes, even if the rest is decent, what for ? I couldn't manage to see a lot of it, so i over-rated it a little.
Bleach (TV) Not really good
Since i'll never see 366 episodes of whatever, i won't be too hard with this one, but i think that doing 6 different series of 60 episodes or even better, 15 series of 24, are more respectable, and even regarding the probabilities, ways of producing a good work. Art and animation are low-average, the rest is decent, but often too easy and unsurprising. At least, some characters have some good moments...
Blood Blockade Battlefront (TV) Not really good
Some good battles, and some baccano-ish ideas here and there. But without any *new* or *true* ideas, i felt like it's just as hollow as it seems unfortunately...
Blue Drop (TV) So-so
Average overall level, but the true issue is plot and originality. Even if it seems good at first, soon it becomes more and more evident that story won't make any sense, even forgiving the tons of romantic clichés and incoherent stuff...
Bokura ga Ita (TV) So-so
That's archetypal shoujo, and i must admit it's very well produced. Art and animation are good, characters are realistic and story is ok, even the script setting is well-made. Unfortunately, nothing new here, everything goes as it has to with not a single surprise, which is not an issue with 12 episodes, but there are 26 of it... if i was a girlish girl i would have seen the 26, but i doubt the rating would be higher then. Because yes, besides, this anime is so cliché *and* well-made, that you understand how sad it is to put such patriarchal s**t in the head of teenagers... and making it like it's ok. Sorry, for me, it isn't, you can make a good shoujo without putting in such nauseous ideas in it, or at least showing that it isn't the only way to put it. Fortunately, not all those works are like this one.
(The) Boy Who Saw the Wind (movie) Bad
I'd say... a bad disney picture with caricatural nazis and without any interest. Art and animation are good, though.
Boys Be... (TV) Weak
Surviving 4 episodes was enough for me. Graphically bad, not a single originality, everything tasting like emptiness...
Boys Over Flowers (TV) Not really good
Hard to tell if it's just a dated anime issue, but my eyes burn if i see more of one episode in a row... damn, it's visually so bad. Despite that, script and characters aren't as simple as they seem and sometimes (not too often unfortunately) the heroin is sooo badass, which is good.
Brigadoon (TV) Bad
There is better to do with precious time than seeing kawaisugiru bulls**t, which is torture. The setting could have been interesting though, but i really can't bear more than 10min of it.
Burst Angel (TV) Weak
Good production but desperately unoriginal, bad-designed, and caricatural. In a word : boring.
Buso Renkin (TV) Weak
Seeing the first episode you can understand it won't do any good to go further. There is money but they didn't do anything useful with. (besides, what terrible designed weapons -_-')
Buzzer Beater (TV 2005) Weak
Seeing the opening and reading the pitch, you could expect an original, well-designed and dynamic anime. Well it isn't, and besides, the ideology hidden behind stinks as often with the tournament settings.
Can Can Bunny Extra (OAV) Bad
Everything is on a cheap-level, and even if sex scenes are from times to times average, there aren't so much of them, so even that is boring as hell...
Candy Boy (ONA) So-so
Little production, and despite being so, there's a lot of not-so-bad tricks to make it appear well-produced, even if it's not for anything original... i suppose it could be watchable for the yuri fans or sth. To me, boring.
Canvas - Sepia-iro no Motif (OAV) Bad
Stupid characters are an insurmountable flaw, and when the rest of the production is cheap... doesn't mean a thing to hurt oneself seeing it.
Canvas 2 - Niji Iro no Sketch (TV) Weak
More money than the first OVAs, but even so, it didn't seem to have more ideas in it, so it's hard to bear without falling asleep.
Captain Tsubasa (TV) Weak
Soccer... born and raised for my first twelve years in Argentina i just can't be neutral about it any more. Besides, this anime's so dated it's almost funny/sad, and the 'shounen tournament' making a fuss about the survival of the fittest and all that c**p is here too. At least, in the french dubs the dialogues were so stupid you could laugh when you were 10...
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV) So-so
Cute and retaining some of the design and fun of clamp's work, but... Not only it's far beyond my age, but it's far too mainstream. A girly girl +++ is hell on hearth to me, and i can't say it's ok even for young children.
Case Closed (TV) Weak
How could i feel ok with seeing 600 episodes of whatever, specially when it begins with such a poor production and so-so setting+plot ? Oh i remember, i didn't.
Casshan: Robot Hunter Casshern (OAV) Weak
Seems pretty bad to me, in almost every respects...
Casshern Sins (TV) Not really good
So typical of some shows... It's beautiful, well-produced and with some interesting ideas, if not extremely original. The true issue is the pathos, there are a lot more than loads of it, every sentence being repeated various times in the same episode without the last one making much more of a sense than the first, every body is sad, everybody fears death, everybody has to make it up for the past... As i said, these themes are ok, but if you only evoke them and repeating it for more than 20 episodes without any real storytelling, it's bad, really, and what is worse, boring.
Cat Planet Cuties (TV) Bad
A wannabe wtf monument, but even that kind of thing has to be funny, and this isn't. I mean, good production, one or two smiles and some good guns doesn't worth 12x20 min of silicon boobs, plastic cats and dumb cats with boobs ( http://tinyurl.com/7epqbwn is shorter and uglier, but not far from being as interesting). In the end it becomes just one more moe monument with poor inspiration.
Ceres, Celestial Legend (TV) So-so
A little dated production, but bearable, the main issue is the scripting and the too caricatural way of acting the characters have... I can't help but feel bored after the n iteration of the same lines in the same way and... well, i stopped around the tenth episode, but as far as i can tell it's not so bad.
Charady no Joke na Mainichi (TV) Weak
Good idea and some jokes aren't so bad, but considering they're chara design students, you could expect a little better from graphics and scripting... Well, not as if i could see them all to check it out.
Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief (TV) So-so
Quite good art and animation, interesting setting, but many issues for the rest. The characters are far too naive, specially the hero : loving a perfect man at the beginning it's ok to depict a childhood fascination, but the true point was to make a girl out of that child, well they don't (after all women living that kind of high-coloured adventures are just devoured by the wish of being the sidekick of some bishounen-like badass, don't they ? // ). Script is naive, everything happens as expected without any surprise and often based on a poor justification making it more unlikely that it already is. Lots of religious ideas concerning good and bad, which could be a position, but the lack of arguments others that "things were, are, and should always be like this" turn it in a pitiful display of shallowness. After 12 episodes i had to resign.
Chocotto Sister (TV) Awful
The worst thing about it is the female ideal which is often attached to lolicon, worse than the fantasy itself. Besides, general production is below-average. Perhaps it's worst-ever-level, but i couldn't make it to the 3rd episode so...
Chrome Shelled Regios (TV) Weak
Another iteration of bad anime with pointless and unoriginal stuff everywhere + spoil of not-so-bad production... Specially bad music, i have to say.
Chrono Crusade (TV) Weak
Script is bad, ideas are unoriginal, while setting and characters pitifully plain and boring. Art and animation isn't so bad, but doesn't help much.
Chu-Bra!! (TV) Bad
Could have been interesting, but it's plain and coarse so-called ecchi. I didn't reach the third episode...
City Hunter (TV) Not really good
So eighties it shits rubik's cubes. Aside from that, it's quite ugly and bad animated, not mentioning the script, always the same story with the same unlikely events revolving around Ryo's all-mightyness. For i think the biggest flaw of this work resides in its so-called merit : the characters. There are some, and not a lot, of good ideas about them indeed, but in the end they never stray from the archetype, so it's kind of pointless. Still, there is some fun left, even if pretty much watered-down compared to the manga.
City Hunter 2 (TV) Weak
More of the same, but 'more' never meant 'better' when it wasn't so good to begin with.
City Hunter 3 (TV) Weak
Hey, they changed the outfit's colour, didn't they ?
CLAMP School Detectives (TV) Not really good
It's kind of bad, except for the graphics if you can bear with the design. Despite that, i just can't rate it so low because of the great quantity of weird material that it contains. Seriously, at times, the puky-cutest shoujou archetypes sounds, appears and even smells as pleasant wtf essence... not good, but definitely original.
Clannad (movie) Weak
Nothing of the interesting parts of the TV series are there any more, and even the technical and dialogue quality are bad, so... what's the point ?
Class Reunion (OAV) Weak
Too soft and unsurprising, but that wouldn't be so bad... if the production was good, that is
Cleavage (OAV) Weak
I'm not really on that kind of oversized fantasies, and besides, it's not very original nor well-made...
Cluster Edge (TV) Bad
The first episode was enough to prove a truly sick script, i don't want to know the brain damage 26 could do... Art and animation aren't bad but the designs seemed unoriginal to awful.
Cobra The Animation (TV) Weak
Funny to see him around again, and in a kind of upgraded graphics and animation version, keeping it eighties and totally crazy. Unfortunately, they hadn't so much inspiration, nor other motive to do this than selling, and it's transparent, so it's boring. I must add, stories are even worse than the ones in the old series.
Comic Party (TV) Bad
Bad, even awful at times, production. Concerning plot, story and characters, it seemed to gather a lot of the dumbest tropes around anime and the like... so i fell asleep.
Cooking Master Boy (TV) Weak
When music, graphics, animation, characters and script taste like a low-quality shounen parody, you won't be expecting story doesn't... I suppose the point is to teach you some Chinese food-lore, and it probably does, but i don't want to spoil ~17 hours of my life to find out.
(The) Cosmopolitan Prayers (TV) Awful
Ok, so it'd be a kind of scheme to turn cosplay into the most pointless and kakkouwarui thing ever... let me think of something that would be more stupid... hum, think i give up.
Cosplay Complex (OAV) Awful
Same as Cosmopolitan play...whatever.
Cromartie High School (TV) Not really good
Short and funny, but after some episodes it loses some of its inspiration and since there's nothing more than comedy here, 'gets boring.
D.C. ~Da Capo~ (TV) Weak
Another unoriginal full of moe show, may have some use for this 'genre' fans or sleeping purposes (if you can stand the ear-piercing voices)
D.Gray-man (TV) Not really good
Too long, and as far as i saw not very original, thus quite average production.
D.N.Angel (TV) Weak
So that's what a script coming from a shounen-editor machine is like... i don't know why, but i'm not surprised it's this bad. If it's ok with you, perhaps you'll survive the average level of the rest and see it all
D4 Princess (TV) Bad
Graphics are bad, animation is average and everything else is about some of my top-hated anime archetypes...
Daddy Long-Legs (TV) Weak
This show and me are too old for each other, besides, there's nothing special in the production, and i strongly dislike such hard-core naiveness.
Dan Doh!! (TV) Bad
Everything is bad, i never made it to the end of the first episode, but i suppose it's even worse for a golf-lover, in case it isn't, i over-rated it.
Dance in the Vampire Bund (TV) Not really good
Good graphics, even if it's not y favourite designs, by far. Animation is good, and the editing and script are sometimes technically excellent, and creative. This said, the main point of the show is fanserv, pretty much lolicon aimed, but that's not the true issue. The true issue is that story is irrelevant, characters aren't believable at all, an this, even being kind of a vampire-story connoisseur myself.
Dangaioh (OAV) Not really good
Nothing original for those years, even if there are some good ideas, and a surprisingly fast and straightforward script, almost funny from this perspective. I haven't the patience to go past the first episode.
Daphne in the Brilliant Blue (TV) Not really good
Decent production, and arguably interesting if not original plot. Sometimes characters and situations seemed well written, so i suppose it could have been a kind of decent show... well, i'm not really sure anyways, for i had to stop because of the diarrhoea and vomiting caused by the so-called ecchi designs and situations which, i must admit, aren't so frequent, but more than enough to me. Just in case, i overrated it a little...
Deadman Wonderland (TV) Weak
Art and animation are good, that's about it. Characters and story seem boring, the fights are ridiculous, and above all the style (of script, of designs, of music,...) is a caricature of standard marketing, with the same weak archetypes repeated endlessly, at least until the sixth episode, which i never managed to finish awakened...
Death Parade (TV) So-so
Well made, and with potential, even if not so original an idea. Unfortunately it turns out to be most of the time people crying on common place situations right out a soap opera, so i couldn't go on.
Deltora Quest (TV) Not really good
Seems decent on every production respects, plot, characters and script are a fantasy caricature, perhaps decent, i don't know since it's difficult to see more than a few episodes this kind of show at my age, which indicates it's not really a masterpiece... ^^
Demon Lord Dante (TV) Bad
Weak and silly in almost everything, even if watchable.
Demonbane (TV) Weak
Ok... ok, i er... Perhaps the Lovecraft references can dissolve the un-originalities as an acid bath would with the all-hated concepts that seem fill even the first episode of this... thing. Perhaps i'm exaggerating... i should just forget it and rate it not so bad, because it probably isn't
Desert Punk (TV) Not really good
I like post-apocalyptic settings, so i won't be too hard on this show, which production is even slightly above-average at times... Still, the point of it being how much fun the characters and situations are, it's kind of disappointing soon in the series how the humorous patterns don't evolve and become more and more boring
Destiny of the Shrine Maiden (TV) Weak
Again, what's the point of good production values put in a pathetic attempt to keep spectator awake ? If it's making both yuri and mecha themes more caricatural and bad-reputed than they already are, i can't possibly agree
Devil Hunter Yohko (OAV) Bad
Ugly and pointless, but in a kind of funny way, so it's not the worst OVA of its kind...
Devil May Cry (TV) Weak
Beautiful and expensive, but what's the point if nothing's really interesting ?
Dirty Pair (TV) Weak
I can't be too hard on this one, considering it's often funny and kind of unusually anti-patriarchal (on purpose ? i can't say...) at times. That said, there's not a lot of interest here, and it's too dated and boring after some episodes (once the pattern is clear and the jokes keep looping) to justify even an average rating
Divergence Eve (TV) Awful
Another poor production where clumsy cgi rhythms the sleepwalking battles of so-called mechas, just between two scenes of time-buying nonsense is spurted by pointless characters with gigantic boobs, struggle in a messed up setting that won't ever make any sense
Doki Doki School Hours (TV) Weak
This could've been done by some anime generator, and it's proud of it, which i can't tell if it's good or bad news... -_-'
Dominion Tank Police (OAV) Bad
Just silly and unoriginal, not talking about the worst eighties music and design... except perhaps for the architecture, but doesn't make much of a difference...
Dragon Ball (TV) Weak
I watched some of this being a kid, but honestly i don't remember well how much neither how i felt about it, which is usually not a good indication. The plot, characters and overall production value is always the same, one of those mainstream never-ending shounen series that have left their mark on a whole generation (a pattern that fortunately or unfortunately still exit today and arguably ever), and to my actual rating standards, pretty much weak. Still, the designs and wtf worlds of Toriyama are so specific that they could rise easily the level if they speak to you
Dragon Drive (TV) Weak
Not so bad scripted, even if i wouldn't expect anything original from the bot-generated story and characters, but the true issue is art and animation, too common and even weak to be watchable more than a few episodes...
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken (TV 1991) Weak
Dated, unoriginal and badly produced
Dragonaut - The Resonance (TV) Not really good
Well, even for a light show, there are one or two ideas that worth something in the setting and some quite good animations in the 2D battle scenes... Unfortunately, cgi is as bad as usual, and originalities are drown under tons of fanserv, the big boobs genre, which is one of my most hated, so i had to stop
Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure (TV) Not really good
Average to quite good production, often funny, but despite that it's too childish and unsurprising to keep me entertained
E's Otherwise (TV) Weak
Average production, at its best moments, often cheap and boring, plus anything about the setting is bad scripted and almost all characters come from a cheap harem generator... perhaps it gets better after i felt asleep
Earl and Fairy (TV) Bad
Looking for a "worst-shoujou-typical-tropes" agglomeration ? if not, forget this show and anything that looks like it
Earthian (OAV) Bad
Dated, awfully produced, and not even shounen-ai...
El Cazador de la Bruja (TV) Weak
Not so bad production, but everything about the setting characters and plot is nothing but a lame excuse for moe and boring content, so it's better off forgotten
Elemental Gelade (TV) Weak
Shounen-generator-generated-shounen
Emma: A Victorian Romance (TV) Weak
Not so bad production, but misses its aim. It's slow, ok, but not contemplative or poetic, just slow in animation, which is laughable. It's romance, ok, but not really likely and between not really likely characters of a not likely Victorian London. It's light-designed, ok, but with faces so expressionless that you could feel more love flowing through a tuna's eyes. Besides, i just can't stand seeing this kind of story and setting in an all-good high class perspective, because it's just wrong and false.
Engage Planet Kiss Dum (TV) Not really good
Even if most of it doesn't make any sense, concentrating on not so good battle scenes and cocaine driven scripts, there's a something with the setting or characters or perhaps the wtf that everything put together sets that made me over rate this one (but don't ask me to see it entirely, though)
Eureka Seven (TV) Not really good
Good production, specially animation, but i'm not so fond of surfing nor the archetypal characters to stand more watching that a few episodes...
éX-Driver (OAV) Weak
Nice art and some good animations, but besides that, there's nothing more than an unoriginal show on a subject i'm not really fond of, so...
Examurai Sengoku (TV) Not really good
Just a promotional production, but well animated, designed and with a good editing... unfortunately everything about the story or characters is shallow, but at least you've been warned ^^'
Fafner (TV) Weak
Bad designs and weak on all the rest, the world and characters seemed a bit interesting sometimes at first, but after some episodes never telling any plausible explanation, i had to suppose they were just hollow
Fairy Tail (TV) Weak
Too long a time to lose for some cocaine-driven script which probably won't make any sense in the end. Animation is decent but designs, music, characters... you name it, are from boring to annoying
(The) Familiar of Zero: Knight of the Twin Moons (TV) Weak
The over-stupidity of female characters got me and i couldn't make it to the fourth episode this time...
Family Affair (OAV) Weak
Cheap production with unoriginal content
Fate/stay night (TV) Weak
Average graphics and animation, far too classic storyline, though still more reliable than the characters, which are just bad.
Fate/Zero (TV) Not really good
Better than the 'Stay night' arc, in almost every respects. Unfortunately, the labored storyline and the trivial characters saying pointless sentences, interrupting without reason all the action scenes where they could have been dynamic... that was too boring and i had to stop.
Fencer of Minerva (OAV) Bad
Not only dated and quite unoriginal, but extremely soft, if i dare say... just, what's the point ?
Final Approach (TV) Bad
10 minutes of this are already hell of moe-unoriginality-horrible(so-called)women-wasteofmoney so i'd rather clean my bathroom than continue
Final Fantasy: Unlimited (TV) Not really good
Could have been decent, just because of some interesting ideas and even some designs. World and characters are quite good related to the FF universe, and there's a lot of references to the games throughout the episodes, most of the time with finesse. Unfortunately, script is weak, as is the 80% of the show, not to mention the horrible cgi of those years (which is too kind of a reference to the cgi of ff games). I overrated it a little because it's not so bad when you compare to 50% of anime production, at least it has one or two original ideas...
Fist of the North Star (TV) So-so
Kind of difficult to rate low enough this one, as it left a mark on my generation and, seriously, had some good ideas. But even so, it's bad looking, caricatural and far too long to worth anything but nostalgia
Five Card (OAV) Weak
Unoriginal and quite bad produced
Flame of Recca (TV) Weak
Quite weak, even if fight animations are often good, and the 'mood' is enjoyable. But besides that, a lot of issues, specially the immature background and script, made me stop this one quickly
Fobia (OAV) Weak
Dated and bad produced, with just some random and too soft tentacle erotica
Fresh Pretty Cure (TV) Bad
Aside from its low-average production, whatever was their faults, no little girl would deserve to see such an horrible thing... fortunately some will forget after
Fruits Basket (TV 1/2001) So-so
Kind of a shoujou standard, and with it a lot of the so-called girly stuff that i can't really stand, as it's a depiction of what an ideal woman is that honestly can't seem right to me (working hard and smiling despite how unfair things are, not having another dream than falling in love and marrying, falling for only rich and beautiful guys, "things will go smoothly if you're kind and soft enough"-style rubbish,...), and again: No, being destined to young girls isn't a reason, on the contrary it's an aggravating issue, you don't need more of patriarchal propaganda than society puts already in your head being young. But fortunately there's more to it than that, i must admit. Production is good, script is good, and some characters can be interesting sometimes. Actually, sometimes, not just the characters but the dialogues and even story depicts more deep and interesting topics than it seems at first, with a wise point of view and some "good" pathos with it. I can't see all of it but can't say it couldn't be interesting depending on how you feel about shoujou archetypes
Full Metal Panic! (TV) Not really good
Despite a decent overall production, but with very poor story/world/characters, justifying it by the comedy, as it is the true aim of the show. Unfortunately, the comic of the scenes is repetitive and became less and less funny to me, plus there's a lot of coarse fanserv that makes it annoying
Fushigi Yugi (TV) Weak
Dated and caricatural, even music is awful, but perhaps it's better after the 2nd episode... i just don't want to find out
Futakoi (TV) Bad
Light production and over-archetypal contents... Ah and if you wonder if characters can be as bad as they seem, they're worse
Future GPX Cyber Formula (TV) Bad
Bad production and as far as i've seen a story without any kind of originality
G-On Riders (TV) Bad
Average production and awful contents, looking at the wall is more fun
GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class (TV) Weak
Moe... isn't exactly what i like in anime to begin with, and you have to take a lot of that seeing this one so i just can't. Besides that, the other things remaining (not a lot) would have interested perhaps a design student, at the beginning... or probably even not
Gag Manga Biyori 3 (TV) So-so
There, i just reached my limit ^^
Gakuen Heaven (TV) Weak
Far too classic and unoriginal, even for its ambitions and despite some fun moments
Gakuen Maria - Bakunyū Teachers (OAV) Weak
Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight! (TV) Weak
Good production, with a lot of well made details in script, art and characters... unfortunately they're short breaks in a continuous flow of moe and unoriginal stuff, and even if worse exists, it just don't turn this one into gold
Galactic Gale Baxinger (TV) Decent
I don't even get past the second episode because i'm not on vintage sf mecha shows, but... even though i must admit this one is really something... i mean, 80ies biker gangs in space ! (check out the music)
Galaxy Angel (TV) Bad
Nothing of what i've seen of it is good quality, nor really interesting, plus i must add the humor is particularly bad
Galaxy Cyclone Braiger (TV) Weak
Dated and weakly produced show, perhaps interesting for those who like mecha archaeology... i can't say i do
(The) Galaxy Railways (TV) Bad
Ooh, not only it's weak on all production respects, but it even shows a perfect example of convenient scripting making fools out of the supposed children ? No wait, that's impossible since the ideas here suck for nowadays children.. So, let's assume it's for 999's fans, which is already a nostalgia issue, but all right, stuff happens. Even though, was i saying, those fans *have to* feel insulted by the poor quality of this show ! And not mentioning that if you're not a fan, you'll note that even the characters and script weaknesses of the original are still here, but a lot worse (wtf those women ? wtf those heroic-military guys fighting against pirates ? wtf the complete two first damn episodes ? ...)
Gatchaman Crowds (TV) Bad
I can't watch more than one episode of this stuff, works on me like an instant overkill of bad taste, in all respects (all, absolutely all of them)
Gate Keepers (TV) Weak
Despite a good production and an interesting deliberately old-fashioned background, i just can't bear those characters and so-called story... specially on such a unsurprising/boring way of telling it
Gegege no Kitarō: Nippon Bakuretsu!! (movie) Weak
Not too bad produced and kind of interesting ideas but too childish and self-referenced for someone above 8 and/or without the references...
Generator Gawl (TV) Weak
Mostly lame, even if the time travel + slice of life concept could have been interesting
Geneshaft (TV) Weak
Decent production, but with a wtf setting (do those guys know have even once read/heard/asked themselves anything about dna ?) and often bad scripted, which alone are serious issues. Then, the characters who are mostly stupid, but you'll think you can manage 'till come that unbearable doll freak, who will most certainly destroy your ears and provoke some intestinal discomfort. Lastly, don't expect anything from action scenes...
Genesis Climber Mospeada (TV) Bad
Dated, and even for those time's standards, seems weak, i just couldn't see the second half of the second episode in order to keep some mental sanity (or an unbroken screen...)
Genji Monogatari Sennenki (TV) Not really good
Basically, it's a barely decently produced anime on a dating game script, which i suppose is the more interesting way of putting the ideas conveyed by this classic of Japanese literature... if not, which i can't say since i've not read it, it's bad and poor josei caricature. I honestly hope i'm wrong
Getbackers (TV) Not really good
Despite a quite good animation and arguably decent art, music and scripting, this show isn't just well produced, as lots of minor issues (see trivia to some of them, there's a bunch more in reality) pile up and it becomes tiring to ignore them. But the worst problem is with character design and plot, far too easy and so-called young oriented, which i call lazy written and with a silly atmosphere
Ghost Hunt (TV) Weak
Not a too bad production, but characters and script are far too easy and sometimes even wtf-ish, not to mention the not really original setting (if i were young enough not to care, i'd rather see scooby-doo...)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG (TV) Weak
As the first ones, perhaps worse, perhaps better, i don't really want to remember nor i feel like it'll help to spend a second more on this money maker
Giant Gorg (TV) So-so
Even if there are some drops of interest here and there, most of the show has kind of plain art and a far too classic story to retain my attention for more than some episodes, and there's 26... so i don't know
Giant Killing (TV) Decent
Perhaps over-rated but i just couldn't go far in this one, soccer isn't just any fun to me, that put aside, it seems like a pretty decent show
Gift - eternal rainbow (TV) Weak
Decent production, but too-much-moe problems abound (not to say stupidity at a almost pure degree), episode 4 was just impossible to finish, i had to give up...
Gifū Dōdō!! Kanetsugu to Keiji (TV) Not really good
I just can't see more than one episode, so i noted as high as i could, considering this one is kind of weird show to say the least, but ok, that's just my opinion. Don't know, kind of a revival of old-school anime, the "over-macho-gay-style", or something like that... a little too extreme for me
Gin-iro no Olynssis (TV) Weak
Crappy designs and dumb characters, plot not making any sense... (survived just two episodes btw) Let's say it can't be so terrible and over rate it
Ginban Kaleidoscope (TV) Not really good
Ice skating isn't exactly my thing, so i could have guessed it would be difficult to see more than 5 episodes, but as always i consider there's not just a topic issue. Still, it's technically decent and if you're on classic romance and can stand the main character you'll probably make it to the end...
Ginga Densetsu Weed (TV) Not really good
Being above 8 is being too old for this, besides there are a lot worse produced shows but this one is often clumsy on that side too, so... just can't rate it too high
Ginga e Kickoff!! (TV) So-so
Not really a soccer fan, so it's kind of too long for me (i stopped around 15). Still, even if production is barely decent and some characters far too boring, good spirit and nice writing turns it in a decent show, if you're on soccer, that is
Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (TV) Weak
Seems to be where the 'weed' show come from, and it's kind of dated indeed, poor production and cheap (but often surprisingly hard core as were those times ^^) writing included. Not much better than the (kind of) remake though as far as the few episodes i've seen. Besides, there seem to be a trauma concerning bears being cruel or overrated love through hunting dogs i can't say i agree with
Gingitsune (TV) Not really good
Quite plain, but with some surprising accurate lessons through the story (too kind-and-cute-morality for me though), this show main issue is to be yet another poor shoujou shell. Everybody has seen those simplistic and unoriginal tropes too many times, and in my experience, those characters never turn out well... but up to anyone to find out i'm wrong by seeing more than 10 of it
Gintama (TV) So-so
Well i've seen about 20% of all seasons, it's a funny parody show and often interesting as a relevant sample of Japanese pop culture, and definitely not the worst made one. Still, time buyers abound (yet another work aimed to make money), there aren't true stories (hopefully they didn't even tried to pretend they knew how to write one) but references and raw rewritings made in haste, designs and art haven't anything special (rather, it's often too ugly to look at it for a long time) and finally (even if it's a minor flaw since it's a westerner issue) most of the show has his comic impact through dialogues, which are *very* Japanese-aimed, such as not being a native speaker you'll miss a lot, justifying a hundred times to do as the characters do in this show : read the mangas and not bothering any anime
Gintama' (TV 2/2011) So-so
Same as precedent
Gintama' (TV 3/2012) So-so
Same as precedent
Girl Next Door (OAV) Bad
Another cheap porn empty shell, doesn't even deserve its two episodes...
Girls Bravo (TV) Weak
A relevant example of so-called 'ecchi' with some of the more brainless girls inside and stuff, but that was the idea i suppose... well, life's too short for this
GJ Club (TV) Weak
Not bad production but pathetic idea. Well i'd recommend this to a moe nerd when feeling down... as i suppose the marketing of this product was designed to
Glass Fleet (TV) Bad
Kind of a space-opera, but without any relevance in being "space" and ridiculously bad-looking in being "opera"... And with empty characters, i doubt story could go well, even after two hard-to-see-till-the-end episodes (episode 2 ball is something like hell)
Glass Mask (TV 1/1984) Not really good
Can't past the first episode, too typically shoujou-ish, dated and long for me... Just in case i over-over-rated it...
Godannar (TV) Weak
Kind of a joke i suppose, production being nothing special and characters an unsurprising blend of mecha with bouncing boobs everywhere around it... Didn't make me laugh
Gokujō!! Mecha Mote Iinchō (TV) Bad
I've just seen the first episode, since it's enough to experience some awe... Is it hell ? Is it one of the worse animation ever seen ? Are they the worst characters ever written ? Not really, but it tries so hard to accomplish such extreme goals that i can't be sure they were serious... There are some truths that should be left unknown
Golden Boy (OAV) Not really good
Well, in its own way it's kind of emotional, because i could feel the love of the creators for the characters and not just a cold marketed product... But even so, it's far too convenient a story and setting to be really exciting or funny
Golgo 13 (TV) Weak
Oh, so that's Golgo 13 huh... A James Bond-whatever mash-up that kills people and fuck women with nothing but "success", and acts cool (i mean as an ass hole) the rest of the time with each pathetic "customer" who, disregarding of his position, couldn't do anything in this setting without his help ? Perhaps not exactly true, but definitely not wrong... Production as a whole isn't anything special neither, so i can't say i recommend this anime, nor the manga, nor anything as hollow as this, except if you're fine with the cheap political/Mafia/military wrapping
Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun (TV) Bad
Just another stupid show with stupid characters and pointless fanserv all around, a waste of decent production values
Gosick (TV) Weak
Decently produced show joining Agatha Christie and an unlikely gothic lolita character, two things that are already weak by themselves, and arguably worse once joined...
Gravion (TV) Weak
Mecha-Sentai shows aren't my kind of stuff, but this one adds to the archetypal lameness some unoriginal and pretty bad-designed characters and setting, with some boring-boob-fanserv as a topping... can't see 3 of it
Gravitation (TV) Weak
As a typical shounen-ai i guess it's decent, but i can't really sympathise with the characters and their over-the-top girly attitude... nor i can really stand this kind of music
Green Green (TV) Weak
Another so-called 'ecchi' show with stupid girls and some pathetic guys too, can't say i laughed once in three episodes so...
Grenadier (TV) Not really good
Why not, a western/chambara lightly parodic setting with a pacifist gunslinger female protagonist isn't so bad but... the boobs-related issues, girly-cheap designs and poor character deepness made me quit in about three episodes
Guilty Crown (TV) Weak
Another too bad show for seeing more than two episodes. Technically decent and arguably good, it hasn't got any originality nor any shame to use the worst tropes of its generation's anime. Waste of money and (even a little) talent.
Gunbuster (OAV) Bad
"Aim for the top" huh ? In a sense, one episode is enough to put this show in the toplist of stupid mecha shows (but yeah, it's a long one)
GUNxSWORD (TV) Weak
Seen two not so bad produced episodes, with a not so bad setting ideas, but then i couldn't take any more convenient scripting and unsurprising design with a lot of nonsense on the top of it...
Guy (OAV) Weak
Mostly non-erotic, unsurprising and kinda bad-produced...
Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor (TV) Weak
A longer and not really better version of the ridiculous ova i've seen before (unfortunately, now the third guyver is a boring guy instead of a 'sexy' commando). Well, it's better produced, technically, but it's not as if it'll make any difference. Perhaps not the worse in that genre, but definitely not essential.
H2 (TV) So-so
A strange one. A lot of technical points are weak, excepting perhaps some baseball animations (though there's a big amount of copy/paste ones). Besides that non so important fact, this anime seems the work of a baseball loving old man... Pace is slow, almost poetic, and sport view seemed to aim baseball fans, which seems an unconventional mix to me, but i don't really like baseball enough to either judge of its quality or even watch a lot of it and keeping awake at the same time
H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~ (TV) Not really good
Quite decent in production, some good ideas about characters, but all spoiled by the poor writing and a moe overload, which means a s**t overload
Haitai Nanafa (TV) Bad
This one managed to be moe at such degree in less than two minutes, that it was more than enough to prevent me from viewing more, and for that, i have to be thankful
Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft (TV) Weak
Moe-stuffed characters (ie s**t) in a parodic Lovecraft setting... Oddly, it's kind of fun at first, but soon enough it shows the little it has to tell and becomes more and more boring.
Hajime no Ippo (TV) So-so
Too long and archetypal to see all of it, but despite some production flaws here and there, the fights and characters are of good level and the decent writing assembles all of it pretty good
Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East (TV) Weak
Fair production, for the episodes i've seen... story is just too messy and fails to hide its emptiness, plus those characters and situations were boring to me even being a child, and it's a lot worse since
Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom (TV) Bad
Almost decent production, but characters and story are just empty archetypical concepts. This is one more show that could be useful if you plan to look at an empty wall for twenty minutes, because it turns that kind of experiences in entertaining ones compared to them
Hamatora (TV) Not really good
Quite good, but two major issues made me stop at four episodes : Characters are too busy acting (what is supposed to be) cool to be really likely or charismatic, and the super powers mechanic as pretty much all the setting i saw at this point doesn't make much sense (even less than darker than black-style one)
Hanamaru Kindergarten (TV) Weak
It's true i'm not too much on this kind of fantasies (cute little so-called children), but even though, production is at better decent and characters are pretty much caricatural and unlikely, so i stopped around the third episode
Hanasakeru Seishōnen (TV) Not really good
Quite good production for its category, and the characters are a bit more likely than the norm of harem... but there isn't much more to it, story and setting feeling hollow from the start and too much emphasis being put on tropes to give me the confidence to go beyond three episodes
Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow (TV) So-so
A good production, but i got bored with the naive atmosphere, characters and script being too convenient i order to maintain it, could work if you can stand them though...
Hanaukyo Maid-tai (TV) Bad
Not only lame produced, but so stupid it's a miracle i've seen whole an episode, i over-rated it for the sake of the maid fans
Happiness! (TV) Bad
Stupid characters, over-archetypal plot and bad-looking designs, something of a love story could survive this but i won't be the one to find out
Happy Lesson (TV) Bad
At least they don't even try to hide the hollowness and stupidity of almost everything in their anime, it deserves at least an over-rating -_-'
Happy Seven (TV) Bad
Nothing special when you're lucky, awful rest of the time because of a total lack of comedy. Just for waste of time purposes, watch the first episode and witness one of the worse recollection of comic clichés without any fun in them. Oh, and there's a lot of moe here too, so be prepared to puke at some point...
Hell Girl (TV) Weak
Kind of decent design and idea, but it was impossible to see more of three because of the recurring pattern of poor scripting, weak attempts to scare and over-simplistic developments. I suppose it's suitable for very young kids, but even so there's better for them to see, and they probably soon enough fall in a nightmare-less sleep out of boredom.
Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere (TV) Bad
I couldn't pass the five first minutes, mainly because of the designs and scenes... can't say it's bad-made though, but can i really tell, and considering that puking is tiresome, why should i ?
Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto (TV) Weak
The decent story and characters designs are spoiled by recurring bad quality in graphics, animation and scripting (slow and foul as hell). Worse, everything is produced as if this anime was incredibly spectacular and 'cool', which is definitely not.
Juden Chan (TV) Awful
What the f****n' f**k ??? Even art sucks...
Kamisama Dolls (TV) Weak
As always, i just can't see any show with those kind of female protagonists... But aside from that, for the episode i've seen, nothing in art, story or even production seemed to stand out above them, so, i can just assume that there isn't any other point in it.
Kingyo Chūihō! (TV) Weak
Not enough lsd to make it to the second episode, sorry...
Kuroko's Basketball (TV) So-so
Good to very good production, with some originalities, but quite classical sports-tournament show, which isn't my favourite theme, just as i don't like basket enough to see more than 10 episodes of it
LBX (TV) Weak
Design are really awful, and everything but the battle animations is bad, even if the worse part is to see the point in such marketed stuff... well just see the first episode for lol
Looking Up At The Half-Moon (TV) Not really good
It can perhaps be saved if seen till the end, i just can't stand the boredom because of, notably, the characters
Majestic Prince (TV) Weak
Characters, script, setting are a joke, battles are kind of nice in technical respects, but without any tension nor interest... good to fall asleep in my opinion
Mother Knows Breast (OAV) Bad
Poor production, poor script, poor porn...
Murasaki Shikibu The Tale of Genji (movie) So-so
Good production for those times, but i couldn't finish it because of the too cryptic plot and atmosphere, i suppose that to appreciate this work you have to know the original classic, and that's not something i would do (but perhaps i'm the only one to feel this way, heh ?)
Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (TV) Not really good
Setting and most of the production are at an average/good level, but characters are too hard-core-childish to me, i suppose it's ok when you're a lot younger (special hate-note for the female characters, stupid and clumsy as too often...)
New Angel (OAV) Not really good
Dated, bad-looking and not very original, but horny and funny enough to reach its goal.
Nisemonogatari (TV) Decent
Lazy work, even if scrupulous, there's just a rinse & repeat thing i could sleep without seeing. However, it's a piece of work if you're into micro-originalities. Fanserv is more important and, to my own surprise, effective than before too... sooner or later it doesn't keep de boredom away but it's rare enough to be noticed.
Nyaruko: Crawling with Love! (TV) Not really good
Production is ok, Lovecraft parody is fun, fourth wall destruction is not so fun but bah... ok, and yet i just can't help being bored by all those moe characters and scripts. Go for it if you can stand them, because there's actually some comedy values there
Pollyanna (TV) Weak
Religion-deformed morality isn't my favorite theme, specially when it's children-targeted. Even if it's soft, it is too hard for me, i rate it as low as i can considering i couldn't see many episodes...
Reideen (TV) Weak
Another mecha show where ugly cgi robots fight each other with the dynamism of a tai-chi competition and over-convenient script pull giant strings with no surprise at all. However, art (excepting 3D) is nice, even if animation isn't (not only 3D).
Samurai Gun (TV) Bad
Both production and concept are bad enough to be happy to reach the end of the first episode
Skip Beat! (TV) So-so
It's fun, yet, that's all. Nothing special caught my eye, and i'm not really interested in talento stuff...
Thunder Jet (TV) Weak
Seem stupid, sorry to say so, but not a single thing in the first episode made me feel it'll be better some episodes later, and as planned, three episodes later i couldn't bear any more...
Tsuki wa Higashi ni Hi wa Nishi ni - Operation Sanctuary (TV) Bad
Plain moe and stupid characters, so there's nothing good to expect, other than some wtf values perhaps, but i'm bored in advance to check them out
tsuritama (TV) Weak
Ok, this is real wtf, some of those real treasures of nonsense that you wonder if they were intentional... let me spoil a little : boy with grandma + annoying aliens + pointless dialogue + asylum-like Enoshima + fishing... yes, fishing, that's not a f***in' joke ! I hope Enoshima's citizens are ok with that, 'cause the only little problem is that it's irritating and uninteresting. Art and animation are good, and i couldn't pass the third episode, so let's over-rate it, just in case.
Wedding Peach (TV) Bad
It's... even worse than same-kind animes, in almost every respects.
