Plot Summary: On a distant planet, the Maximals led by Optimus Primal flee from the planet-eating entity Unicron to protect the Transwarp Key, which is capable of opening portals through space and time. In 1994 Earth, Noah Diaz, a former soldier struggling to find work to support his family, attempts to steal a Porsche 911, which is revealed to be the Autobot Mirage. Meanwhile, Elena Wallace, a museum intern, discovers half of the Transwarp Key in an ancient relic and accidentally lures Unicron's herald Scourge into the planet. After Scourge takes the key, the Autobots and Maximals must team up with Noah and Elena to find the other half of the key and prevent Scourge from bringing Unicron to Earth.
