| Beet the Vandel Buster (TV) | Weak | Okay, this was pretty bad. It shares A LOT in common with dbz. First, you have the Vandels, which look very similar to the badguy designs in dbz/gt (like cell, or the shenron guys at the end of GT)...they even have the same walking sound effects as cell. Second, lots of flashbacks and filler...lots. This anime could easily have been shortened in half w/o all the crap, plus the fact that the anime is extremely repetitive, in the way dbz was. I mean, they fight a guy, a stronger one is introduced at the episode where the previous guy was defeated, they fight the stronger one, rinse, repeat...etc. But the thing that really ticked me off was that they introduced Belltoze, built him up as being the main badguy...but don't do anything with it! The ending was so lame! I mean, the fight scenes towards the end seem forced and without any decent ideas, just repetition. Ugh. Honestly, I'd rather watch DBGT than this. |

But what I don't get is how Ash is trying to become a Pokemon master, yet after saving the world as many times as there are movies, he still is not....a master? I mean, are there that many more people than Ash who have defeated such slim and legendary odds that by comparison, Ash is not yet a master? I mean, if there are that many "rare" pokemon pestering humanity so much that after saving the world 7 or so times, Ash is still a noob, he should just quit. Does anyone else see this lack of logic? How about this: Ash is finally declared a "Pookemon m4st3r" and thus can retreat w/ all his beloved friends to a house in the forest and stop making shoddy movies. End. |
