Some anime and manga I didn't finish, usually because they weren't good or just because they weren't my genre.

Will not finish Rating
07-Ghost (TV)
The characters of this anime are too stereotyped for my tastes, even if I liked the main character's friend a little. There is some plot, but the screenplay isn't good and some things are really annoying (like not freeing the main character of his chains at least up episode 3, even if he is given clean clothes, shelter and food... it doesn't make sense and it's just fanservice, I guess. -__-' ). I was a bit funny to watch as long as I bothered to, at least.
So-so
Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity Will Save the World (TV)
The idea/framing had potential, but the writing for it isn't good enough and the production is too low-budget/quality to make this a worth-watching anime. Probably the source material is better.
Not really good
Angel Beats! (TV)
Good anime if you just go along the story and accept its absurdities (really, there are some crazy ideas here °_° ), but just not my thing. Some scenes are really well-directed, especially in the first episode (I only watched a couple of them, by the way), with stunning animations and effects.
Good
Angel Heart (TV)
I don't really like tha manga, either.
So-so
Angelic Layer (TV)
I only watched the first two episodes and it seems the lazy version of Pokémon, anyway children or teens could like this anime.
So-so
Aquarion (TV)
Area 88 (OAV)
I watched the first two OAVs (they are 3) but I couldn't get attached to the characters or the plot. The only good point I found about this anime was the animation; I didn't like the character design, the plot, the characters and their backgrounds. It was boring and overly depressing and dramatic.
Weak
Aria the Animation (TV)
The design and the backgrounds are great, I know, but the story (what story, by the way? :P ) is slow as hell. Final comment: boring.
Not really good
Aria the Origination (TV)
As the previous Aria series, while the setting/scenario is interesting, the screenplay is too slow and the dialogues childish. It could appeal to a young, female audience, though.
Not really good
Arknights: Perish in Frost (TV)
Aura Battler Dunbine (TV)
Edit: trying to watch this again and while it's interesting it feels really old. I found out that mecha were featured in the anime only at production's request to make toys, while they're not present in Tomino's light novel on which this series is based. | Mecha in a fantasy setting isn't something for me...
Ayakashi (TV)
Banished From The Heroes' Party (TV)
Dropped for the too-up-to-your-face fanservice and uninteresting premise, but it may get better later on from what I read around.
Basilisk (TV)
I don't like the plot and the character design...
So-so
Beast Tamer (TV)
Dropped after the first episode. The plot premise is unoriginal (and forced, on top of that), the main character is somewhat cute but uninteresting, and the anime feels too bland overall.
So-so
Berserk of Gluttony (TV)
Bland and derivative, with ridiculously over-the-top powers for the main character.
Weak
Birdy the Mighty: Decode (TV)
Not bad if you like sci-fi, but it was a bit predictable so I dropped it after watching around half of the episodes. I enjoyed the relationship between the main character and Birdy, though.
Black Butler (TV)
A fan-service (for girls) anime with an atmosphere between drama/horror/supernatural and comedy; there are better anime out there that deal with these themes, and I dind't like the graphics style, either.
So-so
Black Summoner (TV)
Rushed developed and ugly design for the main character.
So-so
Blood Blockade Battlefront (TV)
Messy screenplay and the opposite of "show, don't tell". Too bad, since the setting was interesting and the urban backgrounds really good.
Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond (TV)
Blood+ (TV)
Watched up to episode 6, I don't know when and if I'll finish to see it. It seemed good at first, but the screenplay soon becomes quite predictable, and the fact that only Saya can kill the monsters with her blade is too forced, when all they need is a bit of her blood. -__-'
Decent
BLUELOCK (TV)
(The) Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn (TV)
Bronze: Zetsuai Since 1989 (OAV)
Interesting but it's a reduction of a long manga series, and a couple of OAVs can't really cover all of it, unfortunately. I only watched the first 15 minutes.
Buso Renkin (TV)
Regular shounen anime judging the first episode, not enough original to keep me watching it till the end.
Buzzer Beater (TV 2007)
I didn't like the prequel, so I won't bother watching this too... -__-'
By the Grace of the Gods (TV)
Cute, relaxing, but too much plain/uneventful anime to finish watching it.
Decent
By the Grace of the Gods (TV 2)
Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress (TV 2)
Case Closed (TV)
Chained Soldier (TV)
Trope/cliché checklist; dropped after a couple of episodes.
Chained Soldier (TV 2)
Chrono Crusade (TV)
I didn't like this anime. Too bad, since Chrono's voice was really cute, though (the really skilled, and on of my favourite seiyuu Akira Ishida dubbed him!)
So-so
(La) Corda D'Oro - primo passo (TV)
Music and bishounen lovers could like this anime, but it has too many stereotypes and is too childish even for a shoujo.
Not really good
Corrector Yui (TV)
I had to see this anime for job purposes... unfortunately. °__°
Awful
D.N.Angel (TV) Weak
(The) Dawn of the Witch (TV)
Set in the same universe as "Grimoire of Zero", it also shares some characters with it. Unfortunately, "Grimoire of Zero" had a bad adaptation that consisted only of its first volume, and never was fully adapted, so watching this sequel/spinoff series may be confusing. Dropped since not much interesting and with stupid loli fanservice.
So-so
Dead Girls (OAV)
I watched just the few first minutes but I didn't like the directing or the dialogues, either. Maybe watching it before the Red Garden TV series was a bad idea... ^^' (this OAV is its sequel). Anyway, I'm not interested in watching this for now.
Dead Mount Death Play (TV)
The reverse/isekai idea is interesting, but it forces both comedy and serious scenes in a way that makes them feel most often than not ungenuine. It also has too many cliched characters as evident after watching just two episodes--which felt rushed too.
Dead Mount Death Play (TV 2)
Devilman Lady (TV)
Much worse than the manga, trust me.
Awful
Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! (TV)
Dojin Work (TV)
I didn't liked the characters and I'm not interested in yaoi / hentai (I watched the first couple of episodes).
So-so
Doki Doki Densetsu Mahōjin Guru Guru (TV)
(The) Dungeon of Black Company (TV)
Funny premise (I liked the first episode) but boring execution in the second episode, which made me drop the series.
Weak
E's Otherwise (TV) Not really good
F-Zero Falcon Densetsu (TV)
... a so bad anime from a so good game series... :(
Awful
Fairy Tail (TV)
Pretty generic and unoriginal shounen; it's funny at times, but mostly during the first few story arcs since it becomes pretty repetitive after a while; I watched around 60-70 episode before dropping it.
Not really good
Fire Force (TV)
Didn't watch enough of this series to rate it, but it felt forced (especially the humour) so I dropped it. It may be enjoyed by a teen audience--which is its main demographic after all.
Fire Force (TV 2)
Fire Force (TV 3)
Fluffy Paradise (TV)
Cute at first, but it gets boring really fast. *dropped after a few episodes*
(The) Fruit of Evolution 2: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made (TV)
(The) Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made (TV)
I dropped this anime after three episodes since it's too random and I didn't like the humour much.
Weak
Gantz (TV)
The plot is interesting, but this anime is way too much violent for my tastes. I couldn't see past the first half of the first episode! O__O Moreover, the massive use of CG really annoyed me and I didn't like the original, Japanese dubbing of the main character.
Getbackers (TV) So-so
Glass Fleet (TV)
Too bad, Akira Ishida dubbed the main villain... :(
Weak
(The) Gokusen (TV)
I prefer the J-drama version (I've watched the first two of them, after that I thought it was just "more of the same").
Gravion (TV)
The main male character is pretty original for a mecha series, since he's funny and acts dumb most of the time; there is too fanservice towards a male audience, though.
Gravitation (TV) Weak
Grenadier (TV)
I only watched the first episode, and it was so stupid that at least it was funny, but too much fan service toward a possible male audience put me off.
Gunslinger Girl (TV)
I can't believe this anime got such high votes... O__o
Awful
Hajime no Ippo (TV) So-so
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World (TV)
Hell Girl (TV)
Add a couple of point on my rating if you are a teenage girl and love horror stories, it wasn't so bad: just not my thing. Beware though: its structure is episodic, without much plot/characters development.
Decent
High Card (TV)
Ugly character designs with a pretentious setting and a stupid/too simple premise.
Hitsuji no Uta (OAV)
Vampires' stories don't interest me, usually, and this one it's a bit "emo-ish", too. :P
I'm Quitting Heroing (TV)
Forced premises for a boring story about management featuring a dull main character and unoriginal side ones. Couldn't watch more than just a couple of episodes since this anime is simply uninteresting, but I doubt it becomes much better later on.
Weak
I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level (TV)
Its premise is so stupid and the anime boring that I feel asleep while watching the very first episode.
Weak
(The) Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World (TV)
A mix of badly-masked Harry Potter influences and badly-drawn characters made me drop this instantly.
Worst ever
Ichigo 100% (TV)
Actually this is a good anime, but its target is a male, teen audience, and I'm not among them. ;)
Decent
Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto (TV)
Inukami! (TV) So-so
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (TV)
Really good technically, but too unoriginal (it seems a mix between Attack on Titan and Snowpiercer) and with uninteresting characters--especially the main one. Dropped nearly at the middle.
Decent
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (movie)
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato (movie)
Kaina of the Great Snow Sea (TV)
KamiErabi GOD.app (TV)
It has a too similar premise to Platinum End and the CG doesn't help either...
Kanon (TV 1/2002)
I'll try the new series though, since it seems better...
Bad
Karakuri Circus (TV)
Karin (TV)
Funny anime with vampires (but it's comedy, not horror or serious in any way, like you would expect from "regular" vampires anime), aimed to teenagers and with some (really soft) ecchi scenes/situations (more hinted than anything else). It's not bad, but I'm too far from its ideal target to enjoy it.
Decent
Kekkai Sensen: Ō-sama no Restaurant no Ō-sama (OAV)
Kemonozume (TV)
Kickers (TV)
Kimagure Orange Road (TV) Decent
Kingdom (TV)
Rarely I've watched such a mess. Traditional animation mixed with lots of CG, not-uniformed character models, and a low-budget show overall. Such a shame for a really good story! Dropped after a handful of episodes, I'll rather watch the live-action movies and/or read the original manga than keep watching this abomination.
Worst ever
Kingdom (TV 2)
Kingdom (TV 3)
Kingdom (TV 4)
Kingdom (TV 5)
Kogepan (TV)
A nice show for kids.
Decent
Koi Kaze (TV)
Plot based on an interesting idea and promising premises, but it has too many "oniichan" and blushings for my tastes. Too bad.
Good
Kokoro Library (TV) Not really good
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear (TV)
Cute but soporific, couldn't bear to watch past 1/3 of the series (no pun intended :P ).
Weak
Kurogane Communication (TV) So-so
(The) Law of Ueki (TV) Bad
Lord Marksman and Vanadis (TV)
Dropped it after watching around half of the episodes. The story has a serious undertone ruined by out-of-place fan-service scenes, and the script/characterizations are a bit bland and not detailed enough to be interesting. Not a completely bad anime, but still a waste considering the cool landscapes and buildings and some nice character designs here and there.
So-so
Love of Kill (TV)
Couldn't stand the male lead. Dropped after one episode.
Loveless (TV) So-so
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer (TV)
Wasted opportunity. Even someone like me who didn't read the source material could tell that not only the animation but even the screenplay and directing of this anime were bad. Dropped after a handful of episodes.
Weak
Macross 7 (TV)
Repetitive plot, not really interesting characters, poor colours design choices.... and always the same, damned songs! I couldn't bear to watch more than the first eight episodes. -_-'
Weak
Magic Knight Rayearth (TV)
Nice anime for female children/teenager, especially if they like fantasy themes. The CLAMP art style is wonderful, but the super-deformed is overused in this series.
Good
Magic Knight Rayearth 2 (TV) Good
Maple Town Stories (TV) Decent
Maria Watches Over Us (TV)
After just two episodes I already understood that this anime isn't for me: it is slow, has boring characters and is too much about yuri relationships. It doesn't seem to have a real plot, and the relationships between the girls felt forced to me. The character design and the animation are nice, though.
Not really good
Mars Daybreak (TV)
I quite liked the first episode, but after it there were many ones that felt like fillers, poor characters development and a not so interesting plot overall. Too bad for the wasted potential, anyway I still liked the main character a bit, some designs and the animation. I skipped over some episodes since I grew bored of it after the middle point, anyway I watched the latest two episodes fully.
Not really good
Massugu ni Ikō (TV)
The idea was nice, but the characters are too stupid. -__-' Dog lovers could still like this, though.
Bad
Maya the Bee (TV) Weak
Megalobox (TV)
Good art direction and art style for an inadequate, annoying Ashita no Joe spin-off with a non-believable premise (the exo-something implanted on boxers while the rest of their body is normal). Wasted opportunity.
Megalobox 2: Nomad (TV)
(The) Melody of Oblivion (TV)
Too weird for my tastes...
Weak
Miracle Girls (TV)
The manga was better...
So-so
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Special Edition
This is just a remix of the most important parts of the anime, with a few original scenes. You can skip this without problems if you have seen all the anime, anyway.
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Operation Meteor (OAV)
After Gundam Wing Endless Waltz I was so bored of the main characters (the Gundam pilots) that I can't bother to see this OAV, too.
So-so
Momo: The Girl God of Death (TV)
Nice but nothing more, the ideal target for this anime are children and teens (especially girls).
Moonlight Mile (TV)
Neighborhood Story (movie)
Since this is just a retelling of the beginning of the story I'm not interested in watching it.
Nekojiru Gekijō (TV)
I don't like this type of humour.
Neo Ranga (TV)
I only watched the first 4 episodes, but the characters didn't grow on me at all and I didn't like the way the story was told.
New Maple Town Stories (TV) Decent
Ninja Kamui (TV)
Great action but it isn't enough to make up for the generic, bland plot. A story like this required Tarantino-level dialogues to be enjoyable. *dropped after two episodes*
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan (TV)
Music ripped from the Harry Potter series aside, it's a decent anime overall but with a weak main character.
Not really good
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan (OAV)
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital (TV)
Nurarihyon no Mago: Gekitō Dai Futsal Taikai! Nuragumi W Cup!! (OAV)
Petite Princess Yucie (TV)
Really cute and funny fantasy anime for children.
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ (TV)
The characters are too stereotypical for my tastes, from the overly serious and emotionless main characters to the "I'll change the world" nemesis. I don't like the character design used for this type of story and mood, either. It could be batter later, but the first two episodes didn't grab my attention at all, maybe because this type of story was made so many times that there are much better options than this.
Pokémon (TV)
The Advanced Generation series are much better than the older ones, imho.
Pokémon Advance (TV)
I saw few episodes, and I think this could be the best Pokémon animated series ever. I'm not going to see it all though, I'm just too old. ;) This is a good anime for children and teens, especially if they are fan of the videogames, too!
Decent
(The) Prince of Tennis (TV) Weak
Princess Princess D (live-action TV)
I couldn't even watch one full episode since I disliked the acting and the directing.
Awful
Princess Tutu (TV)
Cute anime for young girls and children who like folk tales and classical dance.
Radiant (TV)
Radiant (TV 2)
Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul (TV)
Original protagonist unlike the rest of the characters who, like the general plot, feel too much clichè. Interesting character designs and high production values (except for too much CG use here and there) make this still a good anime even if I didn't finish watching it.
Good
Ragna Crimson (TV)
RahXephon (OAV)
b-o-r-i-n-g
Bad
Ramen Fighter Miki (TV)
Maybe I would have liked it when I was a teenager, it looks like a quite funny anime and the first episode was crazy. ^^
Rave Master (TV)
I don't really liked it since it mix too many canonical fantasy clichés with the shounen genre, but fantasy and shounen series fans could like these, especially if they are in their teens. Keep in mind that I only watched the first 5 episodes, though, so it could become better later. Anyway, it only covers the manga up to the 26th volume (or so I heard around).
So-so
Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire (TV)
Some funny scenes but not much more to keep me interested. I dropped it at around 1/3 of the series.
So-so
Redline (movie)
When F-Zero meets Japanese animation! XD Interesting style but I didn't like the always over-the-top directing, which made the movie so tiring to follow that I didn't finish watching it. For what I watched, I didn't like the screenplay much, either.
Reideen the Superior (TV)
Reincarnated as a Sword (TV)
Rushed development and exaggerated power scaling for the reincarnated character. The co-protagonist is cute, but not interesting or original enough (aside from the teacher-pupil dynamic). A bland/generic overall plot doesn't help, either.
So-so
(The) Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist In Another World (TV)
Watched just a couple of episodes since it felt too derivative and not original enough, but it may become better later on.
Not really good
(The) Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2 (TV)
Messy adaptation of the source material. One of the worst--if not *the* worst--sequel of an isekai anime.
Bad
(The) Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 (TV)
Ristorante Paradiso (TV)
I only watched the first episode, and I couldn't enjoy it (mostly because I'm Italian, I guess ^^' ). Italian words are overused (their pronunciation is correct, but they are spoken in a quite "lifeless" way... to me, it sounds like the seiyuu aren't acting in italian but just reading lines -___-' ), Rome is depicted in a hilarious (read=untrue) way. Even if the backgrounds are beautiful, they give a false image of Rome, an image which doesn't suit a "realistic" anime like this at all. The "mood" given by those backgrounds is hilarious from an Italian point of view (I live in a city near Rome and I visited the capital countless times, so you can trust me here) since it is just too romantic and the Japanese point of view about Rome is too forced upon the viewer. Furthermore, "Casetta dell'Orso" isn't a name you would use for a restaurant in Rome... it would be better suited for an Alpine one, and even in that case we Italians would rather call a restaurant "Casa dell'Orso" over "Casetta dell'Orso" ("casetta" means "small house" and sounds too cheesy and awkward to be likely used for a restaurant name, especially for a high-class one like the one in this anime). Mind me, I can't exclude that a restaurant with a name similar to "Casetta dell'Orso" could exist in Rome, but as a symbolic/iconic name it totally fails. Also, "Orso" means "bear", and bears in Italy aren't animals associated with Rome at all, but more with the Abruzzo region, for example. Maybe, not-Italian or less nitpicking people than me can enjoy this anime anyway, but keep in mind that the image that it gives of Rome is false and biased from a Japanese point of view. ^^' Finally, I hate the fact that they made all these men charming and "Latin-lovers"-like, it's too forced imho (this last critique isn't related to me being Italian, I wouldn't like ANY anime that "forces the hand" so much without even a bit of irony). So, even if I only watched the first episode and I could be wrong (not about the Italian language/cultural bits of it though), I think that Ristorante Paradiso only seems a "mature" anime, but actually is not. Too bad... well, at least I've my Fuyumi Soryo's Taiyo no Ijiwaru manga to read, and it IS a great story placed in a realistic Italy (even if in the past)! I hope they'll make an anime of it.
Robonimal Panda-Z: The Robonimation (TV)
Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996)
Kenshin's voice is unique, I really like it. :) Some great action and battle scenes, but I stopped to watch when the filler only seasons started, and I'm currently reading the manga. I won't rate this anime since it doesn't cover all the manga, but the part it covers, it does quite well.
Sabikui Bisco (TV)
Too chaotic in its setting and character design, and has too much exposure. Dropped after the first episode.
Saiyuki (TV)
The cast of characters is interesting, but the plot bored me. Too bad, Akira Ishida (one of my favourite seiyuu) was among them... :(
Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement (TV)
Decent story with an interesting idea, but I dropped it at the guns and hectic directing/pacing. Maybe the source material is better?
Decent
Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It (TV)
It tries too hard to be funny and smart and, as a result, it feels cringy and stupid for the most part. The pair of main characters are unsufferable.
Weak
Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It. r=1-sinθ (TV 2)
(The) Seven Deadly Sins (TV)
Boring, unoriginal, repetitive, annoying and/or stupid characters. There are a few cute ideas and the animation/backgrounds are good, but not enough to watch it all. Dropped after four episodes.
Bad
(The) Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- (TV)
(The) Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky
(The) Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light (movie)
(The) Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement (TV)
(The) Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh (movies)
(The) Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of The Gods (TV)
(The) Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments (TV)
Shakugan no Shana (TV) Not really good
Shigurui: Death Frenzy (TV)
I don't like its "sensational" style of narrating, and its pace is a bit too slow for my tastes. The "master" is disgusting. -__-
Weak
Shinobi no Ittoki (TV) Bad
Shonen Onmyouji (TV)
Not too bad, but characters and plot lacks depth, at least in the beginning (I only watched three episodes).
Decent
Shuffle! (TV) Weak
Skeleton Knight in Another World (TV)
It starts funny but gets boring fast (so much I didn't even watch the final episode).
So-so
Sonic X (TV) Not really good
(The) SoulTaker (TV)
The directing and visuals are interesting, but I couldn't see more than half of the first episode, since it made my head spinning. ^^'
Space Travelers (movie)
Strawberry Marshmallow (TV)
Cute and funny at first, but after a couple of episodes I got bored. :(
So-so
(The) Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids (TV)
Bland character design and felt already generic after one episode; dropped.
Synduality: Noir (TV)
Dropped after just a couple of episodes so I won't rate it. The character design felt too derivative and the plot/characterizations were like a cliché checklist—uninteresting and unoriginal anime.
Technoroid Overmind (TV)
A messy mix of CG and traditional animation, with boring characters and a stupid "plot".
Awful
Tesla Note (TV)
Unwatchable CG.
This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (TV)
A didn't see enough episodes of this anime to rate it, anyway it isn't bad... it's just that I don't belong to its target demographic. I bet a male, teenage audience can appreciate it though.
To Your Eternity (TV 2)
Tokyo Underground (TV) Not really good
Tribe Nine (TV)
It tries to capture the viewer's attention with over-the-top music and action, but it's just messy and too loud.
Weak
Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE (TV)
Backgrounds and landscapes were beautiful.
Not really good
Ultra Maniac (TV)
I couldn't watch it past the first episode, I'm really too old for "magical girls" type of anime, and there are better out there anyway. Still, it was funny, children and teenagers could like this.
Unbreakable Machine-Doll (TV)
Undead Unluck (TV)
Forced exaggerations and ugly main character.
Under Ninja (TV)
Dropped after the first few minutes of horrible CG and "Engrish" cliche lines.
Viewtiful Joe (TV)
But the games are great! :D
Weak
(The) Wallflower (TV) Bad
(The) Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash (TV)
It's cute but too generic and not well-thought overall.
Decent
Witch Hunter Robin (TV)
Only watched the first three episodes, they were soporific so I stopped. :P
(The) World's Finest Assassin (TV)
Weird anime. It has a serious undertone and deals with serious themes overall, so the fanservice and the more lighthearted moments felt out of place. I dropped it because the main character is too emotionless for my tastes (in the first half of the first season, at least, since I didn't watch further).
So-so
Yakitate!! Japan (TV) Weak
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (OAV)
Interesting but too slow paced for my tastes; maybe I'll read the manga, though.
