Accel World (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days (11/16/12 - 11/18/12). After watching the first few episodes, I wasn't sure if I would be able to finish this. Haruyuki really drove me nuts throughout this series. It always seemed like he was crying every other episode or so, and feeling sorry for himself. He seemed like a real baby, and that was a real turn-off to see the main character acting like this. It was difficult for me to really root for him as a result. Thankfully, whenever he did hit rock bottom, he'd eventually manage to get his act together, well, good enough that he was able to display real courage and guts during pivotal moments. I was really surprised with Chiyuri's plan there near the end of the series, I thought she would side with Nomi there in the end, and I admit that I got fooled, at least until I saw Nomi's wings disappear, then I started to think that Chi-chan must have done something else, but I couldn't figure out what. I was pretty happy with the way the series ended with all 3 - Chi-chan, Taku and Haru reconciling, and even Kuroyukihime and Sky Raker coming back together. I hope this series gets at least another season, hopefully more, so long as the series doesn't start to drag itself. There's still plenty of things unresolved. I had read in some people's comments on Hulu that they finished only up to the end of the 4th light novel, and there's at least 12. There also a special OVA episode 25 (that I have not watched) that's currently being sold with the Japan PS3 and PSP video games.
Amagi Brilliant Park (TV) Decent Finished eps 1-12 in 2 days from 6/2/15 to 6/3/15. An ok series overall. The main male character Kanie was an ok lead for me, but I didn't like how narcistic he can be sometimes. I did like Sento and Latifah, though. Honestly, I'm not sure who I ship with Kanie, both Sento and Latifah seem like nice choices, but perhaps Latifah? This is one I'd like to play a Visual Novel just to see both routes. The drama throughout the series was ok for the most part, nothing that really had me super engrossed. The ending was pretty good, though, as it was a very happy ending and I do have to admit, that I did tear up (I think) a little when Latifah and Kanie were alone and they embraced just before it became August 1st, the time when Latifah was supposed to lose her memory again. Didn't really like the fan servicey ED song. In terms of entertainment so far, I think I would give this a 6.25. Note: Still need to watch ep 13.
Another (TV) Very good Still need to see Episode 0.
Appleseed XIII (TV) Watched 1st eo on 1/10/15. Doesn't appeal to me too much.
Arakawa Under the Bridge (TV) Decent Watched the 1st 2 eps on 4/9/13. Wow... what a strange show... the absurdity level, for me, is just off the charts that I can't take this show seriously. From the chief guy in the Kappa suit (who denies he's a human), the guy with a yellow star mask, the 2 children with metal head gear/masks, the big man dressed as a nun and acting like a priest (ugh, that was too much for me), to the main female protagonist thinking she's a Venusian (person from Venus)! Also, the main male character, Kou-san, was someone whom I couldn't really relate to, with his whole attitude of never receiving favors from people so that u never owe them. It was a big turn-off for me, as I really couldn't place myself in his shoes at all, which is something that I like to do in shows that have a main male protagonist, especially in romantic comedies/dramas. Also, & unfortunately, like most parody/romantic comedy shows, I don't really find them funny, and this was no different. I think some others may find this hysterical which is prolly why it got pretty decent ratings, but for me, 2 eps with all the problems that I have with this show, is enough for me to look for another series.
Aria the Scarlet Ammo (TV) Still need to see (special) episode 13: The Butei Come and Train at a Hot Spring - located on BR/DVD release.
Bleach (TV) Watched up to ep 3 on 9/29/14. Not too bad. The battle scenes were alright so far. Storyline seems pretty straightforward, and it seems like the story is just being set up, introducing the characters and setting up Ichigo as a soul reaper, and having Rukia explain things such as the 2 different spirits, good ones and evil ones (also called Hollows). People have said from the video comments on CR that it gets pretty epic later on, but I think I'll stop here since the series is just too long (366 eps w/movies).
Blue Seed (TV)
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (TV)
Boys Be... (TV)
Bunny Drop (TV) Excellent Finished in 5 days from 5/7/15 to 5/11/15. Beautiful series. It's just so simple, nothing complex at all with the storyline. It really is a feel good series if I've ever seen one, kinda like Chihayafuru. There are some scenes, too, that made me tear up, but mostly because Rin is just so innocent that it hurts sometimes the things she says, that it really tugs at my heart. Both main characters, Daikichi and Rin are both quite likeable, as well as the other semi-main characters Nitani Yukari and Nitani Kouki. It would be nice if Daikichi and Yukari could have gone out, but alas, I guess it wasn't meant to be. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 8.75.
Can Can Bunny Extra (OAV)
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV)
Chōyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi (TV) Decent Watched the 1st 3 episodes on 11/8/13. I gotta say I was kinda hyped to watch this, but then the 1st ep happened! LOL. It was pretty awesome for the sole reason that it tells the story of the love poem behind the Chihaya karuta card (from Chihayafuru). That in it of itself was worth watching the 1st 14minutes of it! I gotta say, though, there's a lot of romance here with some crazy comedy bits mixed in, too. That 2nd ep with that Tsundere Emperor (Sadaakira) was kinda nuts. I can't believe how cruel he was to Yasuko who was so kind and didn't deserve the kind of treatment she was given from him. But I have to say that she was an awesome and great wife!!! How beyond blessed Sadaakira was to have such loving and loyal wife. If I had a wife, I could only hope she would be as loving and loyal as her. ^.^ Episode 3 was awkward since Yoshiko kept calling Munesada oniisan (I don't think they're blood-related but just grew up together) when she loves him romantically. I definitely was not a fan of that ending since Yoshiko just couldn't give up her dream of being someone important, like a palace servant escorting people around the palace, etc., for the one she loves. Anyway, that ending did it, coupled with the fact that I really don't want to see anymore episodes filled with romance like in the 1st ep. But I think this show would definitely be enjoyed by those that are into mature romantic love.
D.Gray-man (TV) Good
Destiny of the Shrine Maiden (TV)
Digimon Frontier (TV)
Dragon Ball GT (TV) Good ANN server lost my data for this, so re-writing what I remember from 2-3 weeks ago. Watched up to ep 8 from maybe 2/2/15 to 2/3/15? Anything that has Goku in it, I know I'll at least decently like since I really his character and personality. Pan and Trunks are also pretty likeable characters for me as well. The drama is alright so far; it's hard to feel really like the group is ever in dire trouble, though, when I know how powerful the 3 main characters are. Although, I am kinda curious to see how strong Goku still is, considering that he's in the body of a child now, and seems to have lost at least one of his techniques (of teleportation). In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 6.25.
Dragon Ball Z (TV) Very good
Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn (movie 12) Good Watched some of it on 2/21/15. It's DBZ, so yeah, a lot of fighting action! Pretty standard stuff, and nothing really out of the ordinary to me, but freeza made his return, only to get beaten in like 1 hit from Gohan!
Dragon Warrior (TV)
ef: a tale of melodies (TV)
Excel Saga (TV)
Fairy Tail (TV) Excellent
Fairy Tail (TV 2/2014) Excellent Notes are for 1st 2 seasons: Ep 166 - That was epic-like how Natsu burst into Sabretooth's place and challenged their boss, and wanted him to quit if he lost a fight against him. At the end, too, where Erza challeges all 100 monsters; epic beyond words!!! Ep 167 - Erza going against the 100 monsters was the most epic thing I've seen a while! Not since SAO since I got that epicly awesome feeling. Ep 189 - Pretty epic, emotional way to end the Grand Magic Games, with Erza unlocking her 2nd Origin and bringing out her Nakagami armor, and Sting surrendering when up against all 5 Fairy Tail members. Ep 198 - Beautiful ending with the future Lucy being re-united with her Fairy Tail group, as their future was restored to a bright one. Good/teary-eyed stuff. Ep 200 - Beautiful sad/teary ep with Ultear becoming an elderly lady with not much time left, and leaving a beautiful letter to her companions/friends Jellal and Meredy. At the end of the ep, too, with Gray seeing Ultear and realizing that he was saved by her, just like her mother saved him. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 9.
Fushigi Yugi (TV)
Futakoi Alternative (TV)
Galaxy Angel (TV)
Gilgamesh (TV)
Gintama (TV) Decent Watched the first 11 eps on 12/10/12. I had heard so much about this show, in particular how comical it is. But to me, I really didn't find the show to be that funny. There were a few "lol" moments, but nowhere near as much as I had heard from other people. The storyline for every episode didn't seem to really have any type of progressing plot, but I'm sure it does if I was to continue watching. However, because of how unrealistic all the characters are in the show (and overly eccentric), I just can't seem to take this show very serious even during the times when it tries to be serious. And that to me, is a huge turn-off and I already know it's a waste of time for me to continue watching this, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Green Green Character DVD (OAV)
Growlanser IV (OAV)
Gurren Lagann (TV) Watched the 1st 2 eps on 11/8/13. Ep 1 - Decent ep; decent action; not really liking the character designs of main characters; Not too thrilled about the ecchi scenes with Yoko and at least 1 crude remark about her breasts from Kamina; 3* ep; Ep 2 - Profanity used: *ss; Bouncy Yoko breasts; lotta action, but was pretty bored throughout it all; Music appears to be so-so; 3* ep; Again, don't really like the character designs and the overall silliness of the show prevents me from getting into the drama ~ gonna have to drop this as a result.
Heaven's Lost Property (TV) Decent Watched 4 eps from 5/5/13 to 5/8/13. Yikes, yet another really ecchi series! I do gotta admit though, some of the antics, especially the "flying panties" in ep 2 and in some other eps, were kinda funny only because of how unbelievably ridiculous it was to see in action! The main male protagonist Tomoki is a super ecchi character that it's almost unbelievable. I decided to stop watching this show though, after in ep 4, there was a scene where Tomoki's face fell right on top of Sohora's... um... private area... To be honest, I think that was a wise choice to quit this series here considering that, at this point, there didn't seem to be a whole lot of plot and drama, which to me, are very important. The ecchi comedy I really could've gone without and would've loved if this series could've been more serious, or at least, more plot-driven, and less focused on being ecchi. I did watch the end parts of the last ep (12) of season 2, and it seems like it was another harem-ending which is not cool. There seems to have been a sequel movie to this season (2), but something tells me that there still is no clear choice as to whom Tomoki chooses to be his wife. I guess I can't really recommend this to anyone... just too much ecchiness and not enough drama and plot.
Hellsing Ultimate (OAV)
Hunter × Hunter (TV 2011) So-so Started watching on 4/25/15. Watched up to ep 5, but will probably stop here as it's too long of a series and I'm not really into the main characters at all, which is a very bad thing. In terms of entertainment so far, I think I would give it a 5.25.
Inu X Boku Secret Service (TV)
Inuyasha (TV)
Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens (TV)
Kimikiss pure rouge (TV)
Kurokami The Animation (TV) Still need to watch (special) episode 24: Side Chapter 「Tiger and Wings」 - on the final BD/DVD volume. Wasn't too happy with the ending. Really, really, really wished Kuro and Keita could've ended up together somehow...
(The) Legend of the Legendary Heroes (TV) Watched up to ep 4 on 8/1/14 (no more free eps available). A little on the bloody side with some explicit decapitations of heads and bodies, so definitely not for children. Some pentagon-like symbols used with main character's eyes that may worry others due to some people associating it with Satanic symbols, etc.. Music was ok, drama was pretty good, was happy to see Keifer let Ryner know how she feels about him, but don't like Ryner's character too much, as he seems to exhibit a no-care lazy attitude a lot. Actions scenes were decent, but too much blood at times, and bloody decapitations of limbs. Some profanity, I think, at least in the dubbed. As for ecchi scenes, nothing too outrageous but Keifer does kinda get her shirt ripped, I think, in ep 2 or 3 by one of the bad guys, but nothing is really seen. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.
Love, Election and Chocolate (TV) Good Finished in 3 days on 7/18/13. Pretty decent anime. The main characters are alright. I thought Ojima, the main male protagonist, was a pretty good character. I also really liked Satsuki-san. If I ever played the visual novel for this, I would probably go for her route. In fact, I was almost hoping that she and Ojima would end up together, but I am glad, nevertheless, that it didn't turn out that way (as they went with the child-hood friend route) and I was satisfied with how everything ended. That Yume guy, though, it almost seemed like everytime he talked or did anything, it was obviously a gay remark/action towards Ojima. It was kept light, though. As for the music, the OP song is actually pretty good, and the ED is really quite the beautiful song. The choice of background musics, too, during the scenes seemed appropriate. For the first few episodes, this show was pretty bland for me, but started to get a bit better at the end of ep 4 with Aomi-san being bullied and havin her panty being thrown in the garbage! Ep 5, which dealt with the primary election for the next president of the student council, I thought was a bit of a questionable one. There was quite a bit of Yaoi comedy tidbits, many of which were of poor taste, imo. This ep was also when Mifuyu gave Ojima a fictional love story she wrote of Ojima and herself, instead of Ojimas speech script. It seemed from that particular point on, the series got a bit better and interesting. The last 3 or 4 eps though, is where this series really was at its best and was at its peak of interest for me. The ending, I must say, was really sweet, and I don't know if I've ever seen such a beautiful end kiss before (with Chisato and Ojima) in an anime! Wow, is all I can say to that! One of the best, ever! I ended up watching that scene a few to several times! Overall, this series had some nice moments to it and a pretty bland to decent plot which actually did get quite a bit more interesting closer to the end of the series. Honestly, though, I don't think I'd recommend this show to anyone (especially those that dislike Yaoi undertones - even if it is kept kinda light), except those that are really into romantic comedies and have already seen all the popular ones already. Note: Still need to see special episode 13.

My Bride is a Mermaid (TV) Decent Finished in 1 day on 5/27/15. This series is so over-the-top that it was very difficult to really get engrossed into the plot. I will admit, though, there were some scenes that I did find kind of amusing and did chuckle a little at, especially the scene in one of the early episodes where Nagasumi and Sun are at a festival, and they are trying to catch fish in tank, and when it gets to Nagasumi's turn, he's told that the fish he has to catch is someplace else, and ends up being a shark!!! LOL. Another really funny part, is when Nagasumi opens up his bag to get something, (I forgot what), and much to his surprise and horror, he sees Maki, the assassin in his bag with, I think, a crazed look on her face. LOL. Pretty much all the characters are just crazy and/or hyper. It reminded me a bit of FLCL. Even times when things would seemingly get serious, it would almost always get interrupted by something insane and over-the-top happening. From a personality standpoint, I did kind of like the 2 main characters, though, Nagasumi and Sun. They are a cute couple, and I did kinda like Lunar, too, at least when she was being nice, but when she was treating Nagasumi like a "Man servant", and being cruel to him, not so much. Because of all the hyper-activity, I couldn't stand to actually watch the whole series. I literally looked at the synopsis of each episode through Wiki, and any that looked kinda interesting, I went ahead and watched it, but even then, I fast forwarded through many parts. I probably only watched/browsed through 6-9 episodes total. And of course, I did watch the last 2 episodes so I could see how it all ended, and I have to say, it felt kind of abrupt, and I didn't really like how Nagatsumi became like a Super Saiyan or something to beat up the bad guy at the end, I just couldn't take it very seriously. At the very least, though, I'm glad it was a happy ending at the end and kind of heartwarming, especially when Nagasumi and Sun embrace each other at the end. I kind of wish they could've lasted that scene longer, and even added a gentle kiss, too, as it would've made the scene even more heartwarming, especially since it would have been their first together (I think). In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 5.5.
My Love Story!! (TV) Very good Watched 1st ep on 4/15/15, and watched every now and then up to 13. Pretty good 1st ep. All 3 main characters seem pretty likeable so far. Interesting premise. At times, it does seem a bit too love-dovey for me. In terms of entertainment, I think I'd give this an 7.5.
NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them! (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day (12/31/12). Wow, this was a lot better than I expected. There was a lot of twists and turns within the story, and I just didn't know what to believe at times. It was extremely well written to say the least! The characters, while extremely likeable, flirted a bit too much though and showed way more skin than I had wanted to see. I had to look away for a bit at times as I felt quite uneasy during scenes in which one or more of the girls (in my opinion) were going too far and being way too aggressive... The music too was well done and matched the scenes appropriately. It's too bad that Shougo didn't quite make a choice as to whom he wanted to be his lover. I am glad that Miyabi turned out to be his little sister, and not his lover. To me, she actually looks like an imouto out of all the girls. Konoe, in my opinion, would make the best choice as his lover and perhaps he's inclined to choosing her as he nearly kissed her in one of the last episodes. I was really rooting for Konoe since the beginning! She seems like she would be a wonderful wife to have. Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone that's into romantic dramas, but would warn against all the fanservice and sometimes overly aggressive actions from the girls. Lastly, I still need to watch OVA Ep 13 which is supposed to be released in Japan on March 27, 2013 on a Blu-ray DVD. I hope in this special ep Shougo makes a clear-cut choice with Konoe. ^_^
Noein - to your other self (TV) Decent Watched the 1st four eps on 7/15/14. The first 4 eps weren't bad. They actually were kinda interesting. Of course, anything that deals with time travel I feel I'll be interested in. However, the main male character, Yuu, I didn't really like. His personality was just a great turn-off for me. He just seemed so angry and kinda mean. His pretty boy looks, too, I wasn't a fan of. I did like the main female protagonist, Haruka, though, she seemed like a nice and likeable person and her character design was good. As for the music, it seemed decent, nothing really stood out to me, though. As for ecchi scenes, nothing really. I think there was at least one scene in the 1st four eps, though, where a profanity word was used, I think it was the word b*tch. The drama was pretty good, as it seemed to have characters from the future frequently interacting with characters from the present world. Those were the best parts to me since there were some nice action scenes whenever that happened. Having said all this, I'm dropping this series because of 2 things. First off, when I watched the preview for ep 5, it appeared that they had someone or some people using a Ouija board, and second, I'm just not a fan of the main male protagonist. He's really just too much of a turn-off for me. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 6.25.
Noir (TV)
One Piece (TV 1999) Excellent Excellent series, overall. Luffy is one of the most epic characters I've come across. Great battle scenes and a number of tear-filled eps and scenes, especially when Luffy fights for his nakama. The latter part of the series are a bit ecchi, though, which I'm quite disappointed in. In terms of entertainment, I think I'd give it a 9 (mostly because of the 1st 200-300 eps).
Oreimo (TV) Good Still need to see the 4 "True" ending episodes.
Pani Poni Dash! (TV) Good Only watched 1st 7 dubbed eps around 4/2013. Although I had seen some odd # of eps before then several years back. The show was actually pretty amusing. It got a few laughs out of me, so I'd imagine it's prolly pretty hilarious to another person. From what I could tell from the 1st 7 eps, there's no real linear storyline to this series. All we know is that Rebecca has replaced a teacher that left, and that there are aliens in outer space that are observing Becky for some odd reason. Every episode actually seemed to be its own adventure, while sometimes introducing more characters to the show, especially from other classes. I will admit that I found the "I'm your teacher!" remark that Becky always uses in retaliation to things, rather amusing and sometimes cute. The music was decent; nothing really stood out to me, although the opening theme sounded a little like the Teen Titans opening theme! As for the characters, they were all diverse and had their own personality to them. One of my favorite characters in the show is that weird cat like creature who keeps hiding in vending machines and offering sodas that were warmed by its body heat! "They're warm by my body heat!!!" I will admit I chuckled at that a lot! Overall, a pretty amusing show for a comedy, and I would highly recommend to those that are into comedies that lack a main plot-line (at least, this one seemed to lack one based on the 1st 7 eps).
Peacemaker (TV)
Persona 4: The Animation (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days (1/23/13 to 1/25/13). Pretty good series with some not too shabby fight scenes. The characters are diverse and likeable for the most part. I really liked the main character Yu because of his intelligence, calm demeanor and leadership skills. However, later in the series (ep 15,19,20), he starts to get on my nerves a little bit because he starts to get a little ecchi towards the female protagonists. What a disappointment! I found Kuma also a bit annoying and ecchi. His voice at first I wasn't bothered with, but once he took the form of a human while still sounding the same, and acting the way he was, it made me kinda wish he would stop showing up in episodes. The plot itself was pretty engrossing and I really enjoyed 2 of the main messages of the show: the power of the personas increases as the main characters' bonds with each other grow, and the accepting of your whole self, especially all the bad qualities of ourselves that we'd rather forget or pretend they don't exist. There were a few episodes (ep10,15,19,20) that bothered me a bit: Ep 10 where there was 1 lewd scene with shadow Risa at a bar dancing on a pole - that one was tough to watch (definitely a scene kid's should not watch)...; Ep 15 where the characters go to a love hotel! Of all places, it really wasn’t necessary for them to go there. Later, they go to a club and some of the characters get drunk - there ends up being a bit of a pervy scene there since Yu is so drunk and acts like a pervy dummy - ugh! That made me so sick and disgusted!; Ep 19 where they had a festival where the males cross-dressed and females had a beauty pageant…; Ep 20 with the bath scenes - and Yu of all people acting like an ecchi dummy again! The music for the show was quite good and there were a couple of really good musical tracks, in particular during some of the fight scenes. The ending was ok - a little touching even, but I was still quite disappointed. I was hoping at least maybe Risa and Yu could share an intimate hug or kiss or something that would indicate them pursuing a loving relationship in the future. But nothing... Overall, I still highly enjoyed the series, despite some lewd/ecchi scenes that turned me off a great deal. I would only recommend this show to adults (since there are lewd/ecchi scenes) that don't mind a bit of a dark, yet engrossing & mystery-filled storyline with some pretty good action scenes mixed in. Still Need to watch Ep 26 which is the TRUE END - available now on DVD Collection 2.

Sankarea: Undying Love (TV) Good Finished in 2 days (1/20/13 to 1/21/13). I have mixed feelings about this one. The main male protagonist, Chihiro, has such a disturbing & disordered love for... zombies. He seems to not be interested in human females, but instead with female zombies *shiver*... Yuck. The guy is obviously messed up... despite that though, at least he tries to do his best for Rea when he told her that "he'd take responsibility for her." Rea's father is also so messed up... what kind of father takes nude pics of their daughter on their birthday? He was so controlling and overly-affectionate towards her (since he saw his first wife in her) it gave me such a disgusted feeling! I couldn't help but feel bad for Rea as her freedom was totally restricted. She seems like a really nice and caring person too. Just a shame. As for Aria (Rea's step-mother), I felt kind of bad for her as well as she obviously wasn't really loved by her husband Dan'ichirō. He simply ignored her and it seems he only wanted her as a wife so that Rea could have a mother. How twisted is that? The music for the series was well done and fit the atmosphere of each of the scenes. Each episode was pretty interesting, but nothing too extraordinary - I was never really on the edge of my seat. The fanservice level wasn't too bad, but there was one, maybe 2 ecchi scenes that shocked me and had me look away from the computer screen. As a result, I will probably never recommend this to anyone desiring a "clean" series. I was really shocked though with how it ended - with Rea's father leaving somewhere to look for a cure for Rea and leaving Rea in Chihiro's care. The last scene too was a shocker with Rea getting into a zombie-like trance and biting Chihiro's lip! I have no idea what that did to Chihiro, but I'm certainly curious to know! Overall, this series is alright and I think anyone that's into romance and a dark story will find themselves interested and intrigued by this one - it's different that's for sure. Lastly, it seems there's 3 OVAs (Ep 0, 13 & 14) - perhaps 1 of them can further elaborate the effects of the bite. Also, I'm curious to see if Chihiro will start any kind of romantic relationship with Rea... or his childhood friend Ranko Saōji (who obviously loves him).
School Rumble (TV)
Sekirei (TV) Decent Watched 2 eps on 5/4/13. Wow, straight from ep 1, outright nudity and super pervy situations! Had to drop this one after ep 2 as a result. The battles looked like they could have been promising though, but I guess I'll never really know. I did skip all the way to the last ep of season 2, and unless I misunderstood, it seemed kinda like a harem-type ending. Plus, it seems like it ended with a "To be Continued," and there currently doesn't seem to be any additional season at the moment (perhaps it wasn't popular enough to warrant another?).

Teekyū (TV) Weak Watched the 1st 3 eps on 3/9/13. My first short (2 min) anime series... As I had suspected, I couldn't really get into it at all... I have no idea as to the names of the characters and I just didn't find the show very funny - I felt the characters were trying too hard to be funny which just doesn't work for me (like Gintama). I could only muster watching 3 eps before I quit after the 3rd ep because of the perversity which I found to be a big turn-off. Not a very good 1st impression of a short anime series...
Those Who Hunt Elves (TV)
Valkyria Chronicles (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days (12/12/12 to 12/14/12). This is a really good anime that centers around a war. One really gets to see the ugliness of war as good and bad guys (including main side characters) will lose their life in this one. It can get quite emotional as a result. The series does a good job of introducing many characters into the story and building at least some character development, although I think they could have done a little bit better, had they made the series a little bit longer. Despite that, each episode I thought was compelling enough that when one ended, I wanted to see the next one right away. Welkin isn't too bad of a main male character; intelligent, confident, vibrant and an all-around good guy, though I do wish he could've been honest about his feelings for Alicia sooner, especially when Faldio was grilling him about how he felt about him going after Alicia as a love interest. Overall, I think this is great anime with a touching and beautiful ending that is worth one's time if they are even slightly into the "war" genre. Note: There is an episode 27 and 28 on some kind of DVD-release (probably J-Anime DVD release) - though I think it has nothing to add to the main plot.

World Trigger (TV) Excellent (Started on 5/26/15 and finished on 7/29/15). - Finished all the way to the latest simul ep 39. Wow, I have to say this was way better than my initial thoughts, and it seemed like the plot and drama just keeps getting better and better (like Reborn)! The main characters, and many of the minor characters are, for the most part, pretty likeable. I actually do really like Osamu, Yuuma and Chika. I'm already shipping Osamu and Chika or Osamu and Kitora, or Yuuma and Konami, although I just don't see the latter happening. Also, and I find this surprising, but most of the battles seem very well done and I like how they can make many of the characters seem pretty powerful, and not exactly pushovers. I was reminded of Log Horizon, too, what with all the explanations of all their attacks and whatnot, and almost always listing the classes of each person when they are introduced. Really looking forwarded to finishing this series, but I hear it goes up to ep 50, and I'm not sure I'll still be around to see it end. In terms of entertainment so far, I think I would give this an 8.75.

11eyes (TV) Good Finished in 2012.
5 Centimeters Per Second (movie) Good Finished in 1 day on 7/11/14. Wowzers! I thought I would really like this film! But alas, from the beginning, I felt a very hopeless feeling that things weren't going to go well by the end, and it was going to be like another sad ending like a Voices of a Distant Star. And well, it was. The characters were pretty likeable for the most part, nothing too extraordinary about them. The music was good and did well to match the atmosphere of each scene. There was no profanity or ecchi scenes from what I recall. As for the drama, it was nice to see how much the 2 main characters obviously cared for one another. Though, it was heartbreaking in the 2nd story where it showed how much Sumita cared for Tono, but it was obvious that her love was for naught since Tono still loved Akari. I honestly felt so bad for Tono, since it seemed like he never quite got over his feelings for Akari, and it seems like Akari was able to do so, since she was getting married to someone else, and seemed genuinely happy being with another guy. I mean, that was crushing to see how happy she was, and how miserable Tono was. But I guess, by the end, it appeared during that last scene with the train passing by, that his smile indicated that he was fine with things, and that he's ready to move on. There's actually so much controversy about this ending, but I won't get into it. I just know that this ending made me feel bad, and thus, I have to knock my overall enjoyment of this to a 7, as opposed to maybe a 9, if the 2 main characters could have gotten together somehow. I would like another route - the true (happy) route! All-in-all, I think if a person likes romance stories, they will most likely love this with how much substance there was in such a short amount of time. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.
Ah! My Goddess (TV) Very good
Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy (TV) Good Finished in 4 days (11/26/12 to 11/29/12). Pretty good series. Not much of an overall advancing plotline though, but the everyday adventures and stories of each episode were interesting enough to keep me watching and some parts were "lol" funny. I'm also glad the fanservice was nowhere near the amount it could've been. The ending wasn't really the greatest either; I was hoping for something a little more.
Ai Yori Aoshi (TV) Very good Finished in about 2 days (11/11/12 to 11/12/12). Started off good, but the episodes started to get a little repetitive for me. A lot of the usual clumsiness that creates awkward moments and situations seems like it runs amok with this series. And Tina... her hands were a little too busy for me. I could've done without her "pervertedness" - if there ever was such a word. Overall, the love between Aoi and Kaoru was still very heartwarming and touching at times which is what made this a pretty good 1st season nonetheless. Looking forward to the 2nd season!
Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ (TV) Good Finished in 1 day (11/12/12). More of the same to me. A lot of bath scenes again which I really, really grow tired of. I wish Aoi and Kaoru could've been open about their love for each other, and gotten married. These 2 things were what I was hoping for with this 2nd season. But alas, it didn't happen. I can't help but be really disappointed about that. I wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd season sometime in the future, but I have a feeling that probably won't be happening. Despite this, I found this to be a pretty good and heartwarming series overall.

Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka (TV) Decent Ugh... talk about being left with a disgusted feeling... reminds me of Canvas 2... I know Jun'ichi and Minato probably aren't blood related, but still... Jun'ichi certainly didn't know that and he STILL chose Minato! Ugh... I wish they could've spent some episodes explaining this. On another note, I was also very disappointed to see Yuuhi quickly become so violent towards Jun'ichi. Overall though, it was still a decently interesting series.
Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka Hardcore (OAV) Weak Major fan service galore and nothing else. Not really worth watching.
Akane Maniax (OAV)
Akira (movie)
(The) Ambition of Oda Nobuna (TV) Good Way too much fan service, but what can we do?... Despite that, I enjoyed the series and hope that there will be a 2nd season. There's still much of Japan to be conquered so it's still in the realm of possibilities that the series will continue.
Amnesia (TV) Decent Finished on 3/26/13. Watched it almost on a week-by-week basis. The music to the series I found to be pretty average. Nothing spectacular, but I think it did good enough job in setting the appropriate atmosphere for each setting. No fanservice, nor any ecchi moments; I will say that I appreciate that very much. As for the characters, they each did have a unique personality about them; Starting with the heroine, who doesn't even have a name (which I think is the first anime I've ever encountered where the main protagonist didn't have a name), had a difficult time forming sentences, and much to the complaint of many, is what made the anime a little boring and aggravating at times for many people (not me though). There were many instances where she seemed a little un-ethusiastic, unresponsive and unable to say anything other than "Uh, huh, um, & HUH!" It's a good thing Orion was there to be a glorified mouthpiece for the heroine. Now as for the story, I found it to be rather interesting, as right off the bat, the heroine doesn't appear to remember anything, let alone her own name. It was pretty obvious after the 2nd ep though, that the heroine was dimension hopping. I thought it was a little disappointing to that they tried to explain everything like in the last 2 eps of the show. One could almost skip eps 3-8 and not miss very much, since pretty much what happens in them is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things! Now I'm really not sure why Orion says in ep 12, "It all started when you fell from the cliff." It makes it sound like this was the start of the dimension hopping with her being "tossed" to different worlds. But what happens at the beginning scenes of ep 1, I think, seem to contradict that. Here's why. At the beginning of ep 1, Orion states that he's been traveling with the heroine for 4 days already, but she remembers none of that. Why? I can only guess that she's already been traveling through parallel worlds during those 4 days and that's why she had those "visions" in the 1st 2 eps, and I assume those "visions" were from her 4 days of her consciousness traveling between worlds. Neil is obviously the one responsible for her dimension hopping - and he prolly got Orion to help w/this. However, at some point on the 4th day (August 4), I think Orion had "bumped" into her soul/consciousness while she was in the middle of having her consciousness travel to yet another world, and that "bump" caused her to forget everything as he admits to in ep 1. The only thing that she remembers is the date August 4 (which makes sense since she must have been traveling with Orion for 4 days, from August 1 to August 4), and she mutters that date aloud at the beginning scenes of ep 1 when she finally awakens, and Sawa-chan comes in to check on her. I don't think her muttering the date of August 4 was a coincidence, there had to have been some meaning behind that, and I think it must have been when the accidental "bump" occurred while her "consciousness" was in the middle of traveling to another world and back to the date of August 1. So this means that the world we see the heroine in at ep 1 and 2 (before Shin's route), and where she also falls off the cliff, probably isn't this particular heroine's own world, but just another that her "consciousness" traveled to. Hence, about what Orion had said in ep 12, he must have been hinting at another meaning, but I don't really know how to put it all together w/out disregarding the initial 4 days that Orion and the heroine traveled together before her amnesia started, the "bump" and the "visions" experienced in the 1st 2 eps. Also, it's was a little unclear at the end as to whether both Ukyo and the heroine can now "co-exist" together in the same world. However, I think since Ukyo had managed to "beat the world," and since they were both "saved" according to Orion, it may have nullified the laws of them not being able to co-exist together since at the end of the ep, when the heroine is confronted with which world to go back to, one sees the center card being the one for Ukyo (I assume that's representative of the world w/him in it). But who knows. I think they did a poor job of explaining things, since things just seem to contradict or don't quite make sense. Overall, I think if a person is really into solving mysteries, then I think they will at least appreciate being able to put forth some of the clues together to make some kind of sense of this anime. I think for most men though, they will be a bit turned off by the unexciting personality and expressions of the heroine, as well as the sometimes questionable decisions that the heroine makes in the spur of the moment. This is based off an otome game so I believe this anime to be better suited for the particular female audience that have a liking at looking at "pretty boys."
Angel Beats! (TV) Masterpiece Finished in 2012. Definitely one of my favorites! Truly, this series was an epic one, well, as epic as a 14 episode series can be! I thought they could've easily made this into a 24 episode series or so if they had just gone into more detail how all the main (and even some of the minor) characters had died. They could've done whole episodes or so for each character, and I think it would have served as good character development. It would also have been nice to see other characters wander into that purgatory-like world after Yuzuru had initially appeared into the world. I think it would've made things more realistic, expanded the storyline and series since there are always many people dieing each day, and I'm sure the majority of them would probably end up in that purgatory-like world. The ending was one of the saddest and most beautiful ones I'll ever see. I think only Anohana can top this ending as far as beautiful endings go. Definitely a must-watch I think for anyone who likes anime.

anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (TV) Masterpiece Finished in 2012. Wow, what an awesome series! I wasn't a big fan of the artwork, but the story is what really got me! From episode to episode, it was just one of those series where you wanted to watch the next one, and the next one and the next one! I do wish they could've made the series a little bit longer and went into further detail about all the pain that everyone had to endure (as was clearly evident near the end of the series) when Menma died. Despite this, the ending was a real tear-jerker and had me gasping a bit in utter sadness, in particular when they started to read aloud the letters to each person. I do wish, however, that Menma didn't mention anything about reincarnation. It seemed a little out of place and inappropriate. That aside, I don't recall ever crying any harder during an ending in the history of animes that I watched. Truly beautiful... just beautiful. A must-watch I think for any person that loves anime.
Arc the Lad (TV) Not really good You must play the game first to get a better understanding of things.
Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova (TV) Good Finished in 3 days from 5/1/15 to 5/3/15. Not a bad series. The main characters were pretty likeable, but for whatever reason, I couldn't get too into the drama, maybe it was the artwork and/or maybe because I'm not that big of a fan of navy war kind of anime, which I'm definitely not. I was more so of just interested in the relationship between Gunzou, Takao and Iona. It's really difficult which one I would ship with Gunzou, but maybe Takao since she just seems like she would be so much more happier and thankful if she could be with him. Now that I think about it, I can't help but really pull for her now. As for ecchi scenes, if I recall correctly, I thought there were some transformation scenes that were like Sailor Moon, and one of the female characters seems to have an over-attraction to Iona, and isn't afraid to show it sometimes; obviously done for comedy purposes and Iona never responds back to her feelings. As for the ending, it was a good, satisfying enough kind of ending that I'm not really hungry for another season of this. It seems like the manga is much longer and still ongoing and diverges a bit from the anime as well. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.25.
Asura Cryin' (TV) Very good
Asura Cryin' 2 (TV) Excellent
Attack on Titan (TV) Masterpiece Finished on 9/29/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. What can I say about this show? I had great expectations right away when I heard it first being compared to SAO many months before the 1st episode even aired! I can honestly say that I feel that it delivered, and then a whole lot more on top of it! This is literally the king of cliff-hangars as it seemed like at the end of almost every episode, I was left just eager to get to the next episode. The whole atmosphere and mood of the show is just intense. The action scenes, at times, can be a sight to behold, watching the characters "whoosh" through the air with their maneuver gear. Eren, to me, seemed really like a whiny brat at the beginning, which was a bit annoying. Thankfully, Mikasa was there to straighten him out! He also seems to have developed an unbelievable hatred towards the titans, saying things, with such a crazed, maniacal expression, that he'll kill them all. I found that to be quite disturbing to say the least, and it was his hatred towards them that I felt served as his greatest, if not one of his greatest motivations. Mikasa was undoubtedly my favorite character of the series. She was just always so cool, calm and collected, and was a killer on the battlefield. The story itself was very well done that I just could almost never predict what would happen next - expect the unexpected ought to be one of the mottos of this show. It had its small moments of comedy, too, mostly with Sasha, the potato girl, who dared to eat a potato at quite possibly the worst of times! She had her wacky moments, all near the beginning of the series, though, and I think that was it for the most part for her. I don't recall her being utilized all too much throughout the series, but it was a welcome sight to see when she did manage to pop-in in an episode every now and then. It also had its sad, touching moments as well as some cool epic-like moments. As for the music, it was pretty decent, not exceptional from what I recall, but I think it worked very well for series, nevertheless. The 1st OP sequence, I must say though, is pretty awesome to watch and can really pump a person up for the show! As far as ecchi scenes go, I don't really recall any. However, there is quite a bit of gore at times, with scenes of titans eating other humans, etc. Overall, just an exceptional show! There's just so much to like about this show that I would highly recommend it to those that are into serious stories, but can handle the gore as well.

Brighter than the Dawning Blue (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days from 4/14/15 to 4/16/15. Pretty good romcom, and one of the "safest" ones I've seen since Clannad. Of course, there are still some ecchi scenes, but I don't recall anything like breast grappling (by accident) or panty shots, etc., but I remember there only being a couple or a few scenes in the whole series. Some of the scenes got me cringing a bit because of how lovey-mushy it got between the 2 main characters sometimes. Feena and Tatsuya, the 2 main characters, though, were very likeable for the most part, as well as the other characters, with the exception of Jurgen, who's basically the main bad guy of the series. The drama was pretty good for the most part, and especially at the end, with the last 2 episodes. I actually teared up pretty good at the end when Tatsuya was shot and killed. It was pretty emotional. But I'm kinda glad that he was brought back to life and it turned out to be quite a happy ending with a wedding between Feena and Tatsuya on a giant wedding ring space station between Earth and the moon. Good stuff, I say, good stuff! One of the my favorite endings for a romcom! In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8.25.
Brynhildr in the Darkness (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days from 4/13/15 to 4/14/15. Pretty good series! The 2 main characters were actually both extremely likeable! The drama was really good and had me into the story for the most part of the series. The music was pretty good, and did well to enhance each of the scenes. There is some blood and gore, but not on the level of Attack on Titan. There are some bath scenes in a few of the episodes as well as "accidental" touching from, I think, falling over, etc., with Murakami's hands grappling onto female breasts. I know this happened at least once. Some other ecchi scenes during the bath scenes, but I did fast forward thru some of them so I'm not entirely sure what goes on. They did use a lot of white mist or something to cover the girls up, so nothing is really seen. I was pretty happy with the ending for the most part (even though it was obviously rushed), with Kuroneko getting her memory back at the end, even if it was just for a short scene at the end, and her and Murakami's kiss, which was really sweet and touching. There were other scenes, too, that were pretty dramatic and emotional and brought some tears to my eyes. Minus the ecchi scenes, this really was an emotional and engrossing story for me, as I really wanted Kuroneko to remember her childhood friend straight from the get-go of the series. If there was a 2nd season to this, I would definitely be interested in watching it. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this an 8.35. Without the ecchi scenes, I think I would give this a 9.
C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility (TV) Very good Finished in 2012. Not to bad of a series. Though I really wish this was a 24 episode series since I thought they could've easily done more with the story. I thought things were really rushed there in the end. At the very least, I think it would be great if they could do a 2nd season, and I certainly think it could be possible with the way that things ended. Speaking of the ending, it was pretty sad, yet beautiful at the same time. I'd love to see a 2nd season just to see Kimimaro and Mashu's relationship grow even more.
Campione! (TV) Decent A decent anime series. This had way too much fan service for me again. In one of the last episodes too, there was pretty much a sex scene with clothes on that I've never seen before... all I can say is that the characters involved were a bit too passionate that I felt they should have just omitted the scene or toned it down to maybe just a love-felt kiss or something. One thing I thought was a little coincidental, was it seemed like they copied Archer's special move from Fate/Zero - Fate/Stay Night, but that's ok. If they make another season I'll probably watch it, but if not, that's fine with me too.
Canvas 2 - Niji Iro no Sketch (TV)

Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie
Castle in the Sky (movie) Very good Finished in 2 days; saw, I think, the first 15min on 4/26/14 and then finished it on 4/27/14. Pretty good show I must say! I found this to be much more adventurous and just cooler for some reason than the movie I saw just before this (maybe a few days ago), Children Who Chase Lost Voices. I think perhaps it was the old-look it had (since it was made, I think, in 1986), that made me love it even more, as I felt like I had gone into a time machine and went back in time. What also helped, too, were the main characters, Sheeta and Pazu, who were definitely quite likeable, even the bad guy pirates, but not so much the ones that work for the government, though. There are some scenes that are quite hysterical as well, or perhaps stupid funny might be a better way to describe some of the scenes, especially that fight scene at about the 20min mark between Pazu's boss and one of the pirates (as they tried to show off their muscles and then exchange punches with one another). It had me literally shaking my head incredulously! Though, in a good way! The music was good, too, and fit well with the scenes. The plot had me quite interested, too, since I always find it interesting when a mysterious character (like Sheeta, who's later found out to be a Laputa princess or something like that ~ royal blood) from another planet or culture is forced into the life of another, and that happens right away. I think it did a great job of keeping the story interesting throughout, and well balanced between character interaction/development and the action scenes. As for the ending, I was pretty satisfied with it. I don't believe I cried at the end or at all in this film. It was a happy ending, though, with the 2 main characters literally flying off together, so I guess that was nice, and they are still kids so we can't really expect much from them like a promise to be together always. As for ecchi scenes, all I can say is, what ecchi scenes? It's a Miyazaki film!! Same goes for profanity, as I don't recall any. All-in-all, a great film that I think almost anyone can enjoy, even kids!
(The) Cat Returns (movie) Very good Finished in about 2 days on 6/21/14 and 6/23/14. Much better than what I was expecting. The main characters were pretty likeable. I like how they made the baron kind of cool and slick. I found the story to be pretty interesting and entertaining for the most part. The music was pretty good and fit well with the scenes. No profanity or ecchi scenes from what I recall. Overall, a pretty good show that I think all ages could enjoy. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give it a 8.
Ceres, Celestial Legend (TV)
Chaika - The Coffin Princess (TV) Excellent
Chaika - The Coffin Princess Avenging Battle (TV) Excellent My comments are for both the 1st and 2nd seasons: Finished in 2 days from 4/16/15 to 4/17/15. Wow, I really, really liked this series! It was much better than I first thought as the main male protagonist looked kinda goofy with his hair, but he turned out to be a pretty likeable character. Chaika, too, was a very likeable character as well, and I found her speech to be kinda cute and amusing at the same time. My favorite character, though, was probably Fredrika. I found her to be quite amusing and cute at times. A few funny things that stood out to me was when the white and red Chaika's would try to talk to one another; their broken speech was something one doesn't see everyday. Also, in ep 3, when Chaika mistakes what Tooru says as a love confession, and thus, responds, "love... confession?", LOL. In ep 7 @ about the 15:45 mark, when Fredrika gives 3 "just-in-case" punches to Tooru, to make sure he snaps out of his hallucination! I genuinenly LOL'd at this! The fights scenes were pretty good and entertaining and there were a good amount of them, too. One thing I didn't like about this, though, was that Akari had a bit of a brother complex. Though, they are not actually blood-related, she makes quite a bit of suggestive comments (obviously done for comedic purposes). The ending was pretty good. I thought it was pretty clever how Chaika gave her father a "funeral" at the end. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8.5.
Chaos;HEAd (TV) Very good Finished, I think, in 2 days, from 1/24/15 to 1/25/15. Wow, crazy series, but much better than I expected. Takumi, the main character is a bit ecchi, so there are some ecchi scenes here and there mostly because he has delusions that are kinda ecchi. His personality was a bit of a turn-off because he seemed like he was a little off or... wacko in the head in many scenes. I did kind of like the other main characters, especially Rimi. She seemed really sweet and just a great character, and I really liked how she tried to be around to care for Takumi when he was feeling scared. It was scenes like those that really touched me, since there's still a part of me that wishes that someone sweet like Rimi would take care of me and love me with her whole heart. After those scenes, actually, I couldn't help but really pull for Takumi and Rimi to end up together by the end. The drama and story itself was pretty intriguing and I kept wanting to watch the next episode. The music was pretty good, and the ED song (Super Special) is awesome beyond words! As for the end, it seems like everything worked out good enough, as the bad guys were defeated, and most of the good guys survived, and Takumi and Rimi end up together! Good stuff! In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this an 8.25.
Chibits (special)
Chihayafuru (TV) Excellent Finished in 2012. Re-watched around 4/2013. Wow, just wow. This season was great the first time I watched it, and now maybe even better the 2nd time around! Maybe it's because I've grown to care about the characters more than the 1st time I watched it. A lot of these episodes too are quite emotional, especially the first few to several episodes. Another thing I like is that there is no fanservice and virtually no ecchi moments (there is one scene where Dr. Harada makes a bit of an ecchi joke towards Taichi in one of the earlier eps - but it wasn't too bad). In any case, the music for this series is simply superb, prolly the best I've heard in a long time! Each musical piece is very fitting for each scene and all-in-all, helps to create a very cheery and uplifting atmosphere. Furthermore, even the OP & ED songs are great! Each of the main characters are unique and very likeable, and throughout the series, it has been awesome to watch them grow and mature. I think my favorite characters would have to be Arata, Chihaya, Shinobu-chan, Desk-kun, not sure from there though! I have been rooting for an Arata and Chihaya pairing since ep 1 and I'm still rooting for that now (currently in Season 2 Ep 13)! Arata hasn't shown up much in this 1st season after maybe the 4th or 5th ep, but I'm fine with that since it kinda creates a certain mystique about him. The only gripe I guess that I have with the show is that I feel they've rushed things a bit, in terms of each of the character's skill levels. It seems Chihaya made Class A pretty quickly (maybe ep 4 or 5) and even has a tournament match (obviously not for the queen match) w/the current queen (Shinobu-chan) all before the end of the 1st season! I would've liked to see their development a little bit slower like what was done w/Hikaru in Hikaru no Go, and perhaps introduce more characters, who become rivals or important characters later on in the series. Overall though, I would highly recommend this to anyone who's into the sports genre, shoujo or are just looking for a feel-good, cheery & uplifting anime. Chances are, they won't be disappointed! ^__^
Chihayafuru 2 (TV) Excellent Finished on 6/28/13. Watched most of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. Wow, what more can I say about this series! As the 1st season was awesome, so it was with this 2nd one! Again, the main characters, including the new ones, Sumire and Tsukuba, go through trials and hardships and it’s awesome to see them either rise to the challenge and overcome them, or at least grow from their many experiences. I honestly didn’t really like Sumire, at first, I think most people didn’t, but watching her grow and mature as a team member of Mizusawa has been inspiring to say the least. And speaking of inspiring, Chihaya, too, has been every bit of that word, and then some, especially with how she was able to battle against the best of the best at the National Tournament in the Singles, and even more so, in the Team competition. Truth be told, the drama in the 2nd season was never on the short end, especially during the National Tournament. Inside and outside the matches, the show always remained drama-filled and interesting. Furthermore, it seemed like the drama just kept on building and building as Team Mizusawa fought against tougher and tougher opponents throughout the rounds. Some of the best episodes of the season, in my opinion, came during this Tournament, especially during the match against Fujisaki. It was great, also, to see more of Arata and Shinobu in this season, as it was just what I was hoping for. Watching their dominant play was really a thing to watch as well. I wasn’t surprised to see Arata win the Singles of the National Tournament, and now that he’s moving back to Tokyo, I guess that means he will be closer to everyone now. As for the music, it was, yet again, fantastic and beautifully done so that it perfectly complemented each scene. The ED theme is also so beautiful and one of my favorites of all-time. As for fan service, there was virtually none from what I can remember. As for the last ep, it was awesome to see Chihaya starting to understand her feelings towards Arata, even saying – though it was said in her mind - that she likes/loves (すき) Arata! And even though it seems Kana-chan is now trying to help Taichi in his pursuit of Chihaya’s affection, I suspect that it will all be in vain by the end. I honestly can’t help but feel bad for Taichi now since I feel he will end up deeply hurt at the end of it all. That said, the upcoming OVA will be something that all Chihayafuru fans will be looking forward to this September, and hopefully, Crunchyroll (CR) will air it. Anyone that saw the 1st season will undoubtedly love this 2nd season. Personally, I loved it even more than the 1st! Note: If there will be a 3rd season, there’s a good chance it will come in late 2014, unless they do a 1 cour season, as there’s just too little manga volumes to work with at the moment.
Children Who Chase Lost Voices (movie) Good Finished in 1 day on 4/19/14. Not too shabby a movie. From the cover art, I never would've guessed there would a few scenes with a bit of gore in them. The main character girl, Asuna, at least was a pretty likeable character. Although, I did not like her name since it reminded me too much of SAO's Asuna; for me, that name will always remind me of her! As for the music, overall, it was pretty good, and appeared to fit the scenes well. The music that played during the parting of Mimi and Asuna was perfect, too, I felt like a dagger had struck my heart, but only for a few seconds or so. The plot or story was pretty interesting for me. I wasn't too thrilled, though, of the fact that 2 of the main characters (Asuna and her substitute teacher) early on, decide to try to find a way to bring back to life a dead person that they care about. There's also a lot of talk about gods, and even that of Quetzal Cotl. As for ecchi scenes, thankfully, there's none of that from what I recall, and I don't recall any profanity, but there might have been some, and I just don't remember, but if there was, it must've been pretty mild. There is one scene near the 1 hour mark, that seemed like it was taken from a Poltergeist movie or something, with a person's arm falling off and some (not that much) blood spewing out, the music becoming a little bit scary/spooky, and an invisible creature walking around creepily around and on Asuna! As for the ending, I was ok with how it, since it didn't glorify the idea of bringing back someone from the dead, and it seems Asuna was alright and happy by the end! I was quite shocked, though. how the teacher would use Asuna as a vessel for his departed former wife. It was crazy to watch, but at least a little realistic since he was crying at the same time as he decided to have Asuna's body possessed by the soul of his former wife. Overall, a pretty good adventurous film that I think could be enjoyed by almost anyone; although, probably not kids, though. Maybe teens and up would be the most appropriate. In terms of enjoyment, I think I'd give it about a 7.25/10.
Chitose Get You!! (TV) Decent Finished on 2 different watch periods, but last day was on 12/9/13. Each ep was about 3 minutes long so it's pretty easy to marathon all 26 eps. Definitely some funny stuff here, but also some inappropriate stuff. MAL doesn't file it under the seinen genre for nothing, as it's definitely not a kid's show, for sure!
Chobits (TV)
Chobits (OAV)
Clannad (TV) Very good Finished in 4 days (10/7/13 to 10/11/13). A pretty good series for a romantic comedy/harem anime. The characters were all pretty much likeable for the most part. I think I liked Tomoyo the most, though, by the end, and the alternate ending I thought was even better than the original ending with Nagisa. Needless to say, I ship Tomoyo and Tomoya! Seemed to have certain eps that were kinda boring in between the more dramatic eps (such as Fuko disappearing from everyone's memories and finding out about Kotomi's parents), but there were definitely some eps that were quite emotional and brought some tears to my eyes. The comedy in this one was actually pretty decent to me as well. I thought Nagisa's dad certainly had some "lol" moments, and Kotomi's awfully awesome violin playing was hysterical at times! One of my favorite "lol" scenes was in ep 5 when Tomoya tricks Fuko into thinking he turned into a girl! That was a riot! Another hilarious scene was when Sunohara's younger sister, Mei, munches on a cookie from Nagisa's mom, and it sounds like she's munching on metal/machine parts! As for the original ending with Nagisa, I did kinda like how it all came together there at the end with the parents coming thru for Nagisa with powerful words to her to convince her to go on with the play - and the father telling her that it's the parents' dream to see their kid's dreams come true - it was nice to see for sure. But the best part of that ep (ep 22), was the well done confession by Tomoya to Nagisa! That was beautifully done (I don't think I cried, though!)! Just glad the confession came near the end of the series and not near the beginning or the middle! As far as the music goes, it was pretty good, for the most part. I think it did well in establishing the proper atmosphere of each scene. Although, nothing really in particular stood out to me as something that I would want to listen to on its own. As far as ecchi scenes go, nothing really too outrageous, there were maybe a couple to a few questionable ones like in Ep 4 - kinda dumb tactless scene (kinda funny too though) with Sunohara telling Tomoyo to lend him her breasts @_@ as well as a teasing yuri scene between Nagisa and another girl (nothing really too outrageous). There was another one in one of the later eps with Ryou Fujibayashi and Tomoya getting locked in some kind of shed together. That one did get a little steamy and awkward, but all-in-all, nothing really happened, though. Also, there is mild profanity like "D*mn" being used - can't recall anything else besides that. Overall, a pretty good series that while it did force me to pause the show every once in a while to take a nap, it kinda made up for it with some emotional scenes and eps, and that alternate ending made the whole series worthwhile for me! Certainly would recommend this to others that are into romantic comedies!
Clannad After Story (TV) Excellent Finished in about 4 days (10/19/13 to 10/22/13). This was definitely better than the first season, as it seemed like it had lesser eps that seemed to kinda drag. I can happily say that I didn't need to pause the video during the 2nd season to take a nap due to some parts of the show putting me to sleep. I really liked how they had more backstory on the some of the other characters like Yukine (and the 2 gangs) and Misae and her cat. Though, as emotional and sweet as the story was between Misae and her cat was, it was also a bit disturbing as well for me. I had mixed emotions about it, in particular the scenes at the end of ep 6 where they promise to love each other forever and stay by each others side. I would have been totally fine with that if he wasn't actually a cat, and was the real Shima or a real human being, but the fact that he's actually a cat was a bit of a turn-off for me. Also, I must say, though, that I was pretty upset at Tomoya when Nagisa died, and how he ended up basically abandoning Ushio for like 5 years! It literally had me thinking that he's acting just like his dad! I almost wanted to strangle him a little bit. And speaking of his father, it was awesome and quite the tearful episode when Tomoya and his father patched things up! T_T It was beautiful stuff! In that same ep, the first real-life meeting between Fuko (who got out of the hospital finally) and Tomoya and Ushio was rather amusing! I don't know why, but I thought it was hysterical when Tomoya kept placing his hand on her head, and she kept slapping it away in retaliation! I thought Fuko was actually pretty amusing in how she kept trying to make Ushio her little sister or kept trying to steal her away and take her home with her! As for the ending with Tomoya going back in time (to another alternate world or something) and having his wish granted or whatever, so that Nagisa and Ushio survive, I have to say that I had mixed emotions about that. Usually when characters die (in any anime), I don't like to see them "come back" to life again. I mean, I already mourned for them, and to me, it just doesn't feel right, or it feels odd or something. I don't know how to quite explain how I feel exactly other than when a character dies (especially when it was a very, very emotional and moving death scene), my attitude is generally "just let 'em rest in peace." I am glad that it, at least, wasn't a Deus ex machina kind of ending, since the orbs, and the robot (Tomoya) and the girl (Ushio) were explained throughout the series. Still, I thought this was a very good, well written, and emotional series overall! The Kyou Alternate world ep, I thought, was pretty good, too. When Tomoya was breaking the news of how he really felt about the 2 girls to whom he thought was Ryou, I was quite (happily) surprised that it was actually Kyou who had cut her hair and was impersonating Ryou ~ I thought that scene was awesome and brilliant! However, I still liked Tomoyo's alternate ending better than Kyou's! I think it's because I find her personality more appealing to me or something. ^.^
Claymore (TV) Excellent Definitely one of my personal favorites! I just wish there could be a 2nd season or something to grow Raki's and Clare's relationship even more and to tie up some loose ends with the bad guys. But oh well.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (TV) Masterpiece Watched 1st season (25 eps) on Sept 2, 2007 in 1 day. Wow. Great series to say the least. Loads and loads of cool characters. Interesting and involving storyline which will grip you from start to finish as it did for me. Lelouch starts with nothing but is granted some special power which lets him control anyone, but only once, and forms the Order of the Black Knights. And with the way season 1 ended with Lelouch and Suzaku firing at one another, and Karen finding out Zero's identity, Season 2 is definitely gonna be a can't miss. The wait right now is killing me. Go see it, if you haven't already, it's worth it.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 (TV) Masterpiece Wow... I didn't think season 2 could be as awesome as season 1 was! But it was!!! And that ending too! I couldn't believe it! It was so well thought out! Brilliant, just brilliant! Definitely one of my favorites now! The only thing I didn't like was what happened with Karen. I was hoping to see her and Lelouch together... but oh well.
Code:Breaker (TV) Good Finished in 2 days from 2/1/15 to 2/2/15. Decent series. I was not really a fan of the main male protagonist, since his personality kind of rubs me the wrong way, and that he seems to mercilessly kill others. The actions scenes, which were many, were pretty decent, but nothing on the lines of epic. Although, the closest one to an epic scene was Ogami's last fight scene against Hitomi (where he removes his ring) at the end of the series; that was certainly interesting. The music was decent. A few ecchi scenes with Toki and his sister grabbing Sakura's breasts - probably 3-4 scenes like that. The drama was a bit intriguing since I wanted to see if Ogami would ever change his way of thinking, and wouldn't just see himself as evil that kills evil, and would also stop mercilessly killing others. As for the ending, it was ok, and it seems like it left itself open for a possible 2nd season, but it looks like it may not be coming since the 1st season came out in 2012. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give this a 6.5.

CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days from 7/16/15 to 7/17/15. Wow, I can see why this one was labeled as Mature on CR, as this definitely had it's fair share of ecchi/mature scenes like breast grappling, man's face on woman's crotch like 5 times or so(although this was generally done for comedic purposes), and yuri action (kissing and sex, and sometimes sex was with 3 females; body parts covered by fog/etc. at least). The characters were something else. Many of them, especially at the beginning, I didn't really like how they behaved. Even the main female protagonist, Ange, with how she treated the normas as if they are animals; it really disgusted me. Tusk was one of the few characters from the time he is introduced, till the end, that I really liked for the most part (especially his personality and how he behaved). The whole world that they lived in, with how society treated the normas was just sickening to me. It has me shaking my head just thinking about it. Just about all the characters there had their own problems, and it was interesting to see how each of them dealt with their issues, and how they grew (or didn't grow) from them. Some for better, and some for worse, but in the end, I think things kinda worked out for all the "good guy" characters. The action scenes in this one were pretty good, overall; although, nothing that I would label as epic. The drama certainly had me pretty hooked as I really wanted to see how things would turn out for Ange, and if she was going to be able to bring the world to accept normas. The ending was pretty good and satisfying enough that I don't think another season is necessary, but I certainly wouldn't mind an epilogue just to hopefully see something like a wedding between Ange and Tusk. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8. If it wasn't for all the ecchi/mature scenes, I would probably give this a 9.25.
C³ (TV) Good Finished in 1 day (11/14/12). This was an ok series. A lot of fan service again as well to the point where I had to skip a little ahead. The story is definitely far from being over as there are too many things left unresolved, so a 2nd season is certainly possible. I hope that if there is a 2nd season, Haruaki starts to grow a loving relationship with someone, preferably with Fear or the president (can't remember her name).

Date A Live (TV) Good Finished approximately on 6/25/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. The premise actually reminded of The World God Only Knows since they both dealt with the main male protagonist trying to, and with good reason, get the girls to fall in love with him. So I was kinda expecting good things from it at first, but after the 1st ep, I was thinking that it might just be another fan servicey anime. I’m glad I was proved wrong by the end. It did, however, start off pretty bland at first. Slowly, but surely, though, with each episode, it started to get more interesting from about ep 3 onward, as the drama continually progressed and more characters were introduced. The characters, themselves, were pretty likeable for the most part, even Kotori, who, at first, wasn’t a tsundere, but quickly turned into one. The main male character, Shido, seemed to be a nice and likeable guy, which is always a major plus for me when the male protagonist is like that. Origami Tobiichi, I thought, made the show pretty amusing and lol-funny at times. I also really liked Tohka and thought she was a pretty cute character. I was strongly pulling for her and Shido to end up together. My favorite comedy part was in ep 12 when it was found out that Kotori’s love/happiness meter towards Shido was maxed-out even before their date! That was just awesome! As stated earlier, there wasn’t that much fan service, overall. Initially, I thought there would be since right at the beginning scenes of ep 1, there’s a couple (I think) panty shots of Kotori. And in ep 2, there’s 1 more panty scene and 1 nude transformation scene, but quite honestly, it wasn’t in bad taste in my opinion. There was a bit of a sexually-charged scene, though, with Kurumi Tokisaki/Nightmare & (I think) Tobiichi in one of the later eps. The last episode left things a bit open since Nightmare was still on the loose as well as other spirits (as shown at the end of the last ep in the PV for the 2nd season which was actually confirmed thru a Tweet – no ETA yet). The best part of the last ep was the kissing ship tease of Shido and Tohka! I was so happy to see that, but quite disappointed that Yoshinon jumped in-between them before it could happen, though! Overall, a pretty good show with some laughable moments and decent action scenes by the end. And if a person really enjoyed The World God Only Knows, then I think they will enjoy this one, too.
Date A Live II (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days from 8/1/14 to 8/2/14. Pretty fanservicey and ecchi - so much so, that I even had to fast-forward at some points. A list of some of the ecchi stuff can be found in my notes. Despite that, the drama in this was really good, especially from about ep 4 or 5 on, it just kept getting better and better. And Kurumi making a surprise appearance and working with Shido was awesome to see. The action scenes in this was pretty good like the 1st season. Though, some of it was surprisingly bloody, but it wasn't too bad. Music was pretty good and did very well to match the scenes appropriately. Overall, a series that probably only fans of the 1st would like, but caution should be taken since the ecchiness and fanservice level is through the roof on this one, much more than the 1st which didn't seem to have that much. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 8.35.
Deadman Wonderland (TV) Good Finished in 2 days (from 1/10/15 to 1/11/15). Wow, uber gory! Thankfully, lots of the gore was censored in the Funi version. Although, I think they also censored stuff that wasn't even gory. What made this watchable for me was Shiro. She's super mysterious, moe, and just a likeable fun character, despite kind of like a child at times. If she wasn't there, I probably would not have even bothered to watch this. The drama, though, was pretty intense throughout a large part of the series, and the music certainly helped to contribute to that. Some of the characters here are pretty insane, though, and need some serious mental help. Some of the battle scenes were decent, but nothing that I would really call epic (for me), especially since there's just so much gore. I will admit that I am very interested in seeing this story pan out, especially when I first realized that it was probably Shiro who unknowingly murdered all of Ganta's classmates. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give it a 7.
Deadman Wonderland (OAV) Good Finished in 1 day on 1/11/15. Nice backstory of Senji-san.
Death Note (TV) Excellent
(The) Devil Is a Part-Timer! (TV) Good Finished on 7/7/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. Pretty good show, overall, I'd say. The main characters were all very much likeable. Although, Emi, at first, seemed incredibly violent and ill-tempered, at least towards Sadao (Maō-sama) - which was quite the turn-off. I am glad that she kinda cooled off in her treatment towards him as the season went on, and she's now my favorite character, and some of her facial expressions were quite amusing! I can understand why so many people love the comedy in this one. For the most part, I thought the comedy bits were pretty clever or so ridiculous that it was actually mildly amusing for me. Although, from what I can tell from the comments from other people, it was absolutely hysterical and "lol" funny, especially Ashiya's (Demon General Alsiel's) remarks. He frequently made comments in regards to saving money, even in the heat of battle! I was actually hoping, though, for a bit more action, and serious drama, but from what there was of it, it was pretty good. I was also looking forward to seeing some really cool action scenes of Emelia the "Hero", and her kicking some butt. Unfortunately, it seemed more like they gave the epic beatdown or "finish him" scenes to Maou-sama, rather than Emelia. I also didn't really like how she became the female in distress at the end, where she ended up captured and basically tortured by the sleezy archangel Sariel, who was supposedly trying to take back Emi's holy sword, the "Better Half"; And again, Maou-sama's the one to save the day for them (Emelia and Chi-chan who was also taken hostage) and deliver a beatdown to Sariel. As for the plot itself, I will say that the stuff behind the scenes were a bit confusing for me; I'm honestly not sure I understood all the politics and decisions that the "Church" and Inquisition were making. Were they trying to do some cowardly-like cover-ups or something? Aside from that, though, it seemed like the plot didn't go much of anywhere (which is ok, for the most part, for this kind of show). I mean, it's true more characters got introduced, some enemies befriended even, but Maou-sama's still financially poor with not enough magic to return to Ente Isla. Not to mention, he's still working at McRonalds, and living in a small apartment with Ashiya. That said, each episode still was still mildly amusing for me, so it was tolerable. However, I really wanted a bit more action, and less comedy, especially with some of the middle to late eps - as they kinda seemed to drag for me a bit, and I was really aching to see some action or serious drama, but that didn't happen again till near the end of ep 11. As for the music, I think it was pretty good and there were some musical tracks that fit quite well with certain dramatic scenes. As for fan service, I don't remember anything too outrageous, but in episode 10, there was a short scene with an ecchi monkey that jumped on Chi-chan's watermelons and rubbed his face all over them. Overall, a good show that had some really goofy moments, and some nice moments, especially near the end of the last episode where, while it was raining, Emi shows up to give Sadao a new umbrella for trashing his old one back in the 1st ep, and they then make a very sweet verbal exchange. They literally could end this anime series right here, though, and I would be happy since there was no cliff-hangar-like ending, and even for the things that are still unresolved, I don't feel very anxious in seeing them get resolved. That said, I would still easily recommend this to someone that's a fan of comedy shows. Note: SFC (Sentucky Fried Chicken - Nice name!! xD).
Devilman Lady (TV) Excellent My third favorite series of all time. Although, if it had a better ending, I'd prolly put this as my 2nd favorite since no other anime has ever gotten me so absorbed into the storyline since Hikaru no Go.

Dog Days (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days from 6/5/15 to 6/6/15. Not too bad of a 1st season. Thought it was a little difficult to get into at first, with how nobody really gets hurt from what I can tell, and that when characters are beaten in battle, they just turn into small cats or something. Strange stuff. Not too happy with some of the fan service, though, as there were a few scenes here and there where some of the female characters get their clothes blown off, but of course, nothing is really shown in detail. It was nice, though, to see a hero that wasn't just all talk, and that he actually had some really nice and flashy moves straight from ep 1. I kinda liked his personality, too, as well as the other characters, especially Princess Millihiore. She and Sink are such a cute couple, and I was very happy to see Princess Milli confess her love to him at the end. I'm totally shipping them. That last ep actually had me tear up a little bit. In terms of entertainment so far, I think I would give this an 8.
Dog Days' (TV) Very good Finished in probably 5 days from 6/6/15 to 6/10/15. Seemed like a whole lot of nothing happened again in this season, but that's ok since it's really supposed to be just laid-back and cute, and it was for the most part. I don't think I've ever seen such large-scale wars not feel very threatening and/or tense. It's just amazing how even in the think of battle, the characters all still care for one another, and are still the best of buds before and after the wars. I was glad there were some more nice and cute scenes between Sink and Princess Milli, but I was hoping for a little more at the end, but it still ended on a pretty heartwarming note. As for fan service, I thought there was a bit more than in the 1st season, with clothes getting ripped in every large-scale war. And I just have to say, that I'd really like to pet the Princess, too! It was just always so cute when Sink petted her! Ep 2 - Rebeccas transformation was so over-the-top and sexually suggestive that I was shocked and disappointed with how fanservicey that was; it even had tentacles... In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this an 8.
Dragon Half (OAV)
Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure (TV) Good Finished 8-25-07 in 1 day. Storyline wasn't too bad. It kinda reminded me of the visual novel game, A Midsummer Day's Resonance, which also dealt with "Dual" parallel worlds. Characters are quite likeable, though I kinda wish they spent more time with filler episodes to develop the character's personalities even more. Overall, a good, not great anime, that's still worth watching if you got nothing else better to do.
Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventures Special Good Finished 8-25-07 in 1 day. Not necessarily worth watching if you saw the TV series. It's just a short 29 minute special if I recall with not much of a story. Now if you haven't seen the TV series, don't bother with this. But if you have seen it, I'd still say go ahead and give it a good watch just to see a little bit of the aftermath of the conclusion of the original series.
Durarara!! (TV) Very good Finished in 6 days from 5/11/15 to 5/16/15. Pretty good series. The main characters were all pretty likeable. Celty, though, was my favorite. Drama was pretty good throughout and got even better towards the end. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give the 1st season a 8.25.
Durarara!!×2 Shō (TV) Very good Finished in probably 2 days from 5/17/15 to 5/18/15. Interesting drama again. Don't really like the twin sisters of Izaya due to lesbian tendencies, especially when they start kissing one another, which I think happened maybe twice during this season. Love Celty, Anri and even Shizuo now I've taken quite a liking to, especially in that last episode. For some reason, I just thought he was pretty epic against that one girl assassin, Vorona. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this an 8.
Dusk maiden of Amnesia (TV) Very good Finished in 2012. Pretty good series throughout with a great ending!

Eden of the East (TV)
ef: a tale of memories (TV) Masterpiece Finished in 1 day (11/19/12). Wow... This was truly one of the best romantic dramas I've ever seen. The story was really well presented. I realize it's my Catholic background that makes me say this, but I really wish characters would not "sleep" with each other when they "fall-in-love." I see way to many series in this particular genre that almost always does this. It really does give me a disgusted feeling. That aside, it was really heart-warming, sad and just plain beautiful, especially with how everything ended. Truly, one of the best endings for a romantic drama I've ever seen. One thing that I didn't quite understand though, occurred in the last episode, after 13 hours had already passed and Chihiro should've already forgotten everything about Renji, and then the next time they meet, Chihiro asks Renji if they had met before. Then, Renji goes and collects fragments/pages of her diary and when they meet up again, Chihiro acts like she didn't forget him, and says that 13 hours is too long for her to forget about him. But I thought she did forget about him which was why she had initially asked if they had met before. So was she was just pretending that she had initially forgotten?... or did a miracle happen where she just remembered?... Who knows, I guess?... Looking forward now to the sequel!

Ergo Proxy (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days from 1/3/15 to 1/5/15. Pretty interesting anime to say the least. The drama, the mystery and the atmosphere really made the series pretty compelling for me, as well as the pretty likeable characters, especially Pino who I grew to really love later on the series, especially in the ep where she starts imitating Re-L. I don't think I understood the story completely as I found it to be kinda complex, but it seems like it was mostly explained in the last few episodes. I think one of the messages of the anime was that each person needs to find their own truth or something like that (kinda New Agey, but that should be expected from an anime). Intermittent profanity in the Funimation subs, but thankfully, no scenes that were really ecchi, but there is one female nude statue that seems to be able to talk and is shown every once in a while, but there's nothing provocative about it, imo. Some gory scenes here and there, but nothing on the level of Attack on Titan. As for the ending, I guess I was happy that it was kind of a happy ending, in that the 2 main characters survived, as well as Pino, and that they all have decided to live on no matter what harsh reality awaits them. Overall, I think if a person likes animes that have a dark atmosphere, like Monster, they will probably like this one as well. In terms of entertainment, I think I'll have to give it an 8.25.
Eternal Alice (TV) Good
Eureka Seven (TV) Excellent Finished in about 21 days from 1/10/15 to possibly 1/31/15. Pretty good show. Pretty good cast of good guy characters, and the main good guy characters were pretty likeable for the most part. The drama was pretty good and engrossing for the most part, though it was slow at the beginning episodes, and there were some filler like episodes here and there that were kinda boring for me. The character depth and development was well done. Although, I did get kinda tired on how it seems like everyone falls into self-pity when they "failed" to protect those whom they promised to protect. That gets old after a while, and that did bug me a bit with this series. The music was pretty good, and the 1st ED theme was really well done, and that last OP song appears to be partially from the Amazing Grace hymn! Good stuff! As for fan service, nothing too outrageous from what I remember, maybe a "filthy" magazine here and there, though. As for profanity, if I remember correctly, I think there were some in the Funi subtitled videos, like "hell" and "damn". The standard Funi profanity stuff. As for the ending, I'm not sure I get it entirely, but it seems like Renton and Eureka became "one" or something so that Eureka wouldn't be alone. Their kiss was bittersweet and emotional, and it was a pretty happy ending. Can't say that I'm that interested in the sequel, especially since I think it has a new cast of characters and the main old ones aren't there? Or at least they have minor or small appearances? Overall, though, a pretty good show that did have some pretty good and epic battle scenes that got the hair on my back to raise every once in a while, like Sword Art Online and Gargantia, and some emotional scenes here and there that brought some tears to my eyes. In terms of entertainment, I think I'd have to give this an 8.5.
Eureka Seven - good night, sleep tight, young lovers (movie) Good ANN server lost my data for this, so re-writing what I remember from 2 weeks ago or so. Watched maybe on 2/8/15? Unfortunately, I can't remember this movie too well already. Other than it was quite different than what happened in the TV series, and that some of the characters, like Renton, have different roles/positions in life. And even the death scene of 2 of the "good guy" characters from the TV series, was quite the shock. Nirvash and The End, too, in chibi forms, was quite kawaii! The ending was pretty good since it was a happy and heartfelt one. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.25.
Eyeshield 21 (TV) Excellent Finished in 2012. Another really awesome sports anime! Definitely one of the best ones out there for its genre!
Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess Very good Finished in 1 day on 3/6/15. Pretty good movie. I was pretty engrossed into the plot for just about the whole movie. The actions scenes, and there was a good amount of it in this 1 and half hour movie, were pretty decent, nothing out of the ordinary. I was surprised to see some blood here and there, which is a change since the TV series I don't think contains any blood, or at least it's barely noticeable. I was also surprised to see another character who appears to have requip magic like Erza. As for the ending, while it was sad to see Eclair pass away, it was nice to see her make a good friend in Lucy, who really cared and cried for her. Overall, a good movie that I think fans of the Fairy Tail series will enjoy as something extra to watch, even though I don't think it really adds anything integral (or much of anything) to the canon of the TV series. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this an 8.25.
Fairy Tail the Movie: Prologue - The First Morning (OAV) Very good Finished in 1 day on 3/13/15. Short 12 minute prologue. Nice little background that showed how Momon came about, and how Eclair came to accept him as a friend. I actually teared up at the end when I saw how beat up Momon was, who fought for her against those wolves and brought her back home. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give this about an 8.25.

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya (TV) Decent Finished on 10/3/13. Watched only the first 2 simulcast eps the same day it aired, then marathoned the rest a few weeks after the series finished. I have to say, for a magical girl show, this wasn't too bad. The main characters all had distinct personalities and had their moe side to them. Ruby is quite the amusing mischievous little stick. Illya, though, apparently has some kind of a maid fetish as seen in ep 7. That ep alone had its fair share of poor taste/lewd scenes; There was one poor taste scene with Ruby and Sapphire; 1 lewd scene showing Illya-san over the back of Miyu-san (the all perfect at whatever she does girl - kinda reminded me of Homura from Madoka Magica) almost like she was giving her an*l O_O; Another lewd scene with Illya-san taking her clothes off and asking Miyu to wipe her body down O_O. There are other crude humor/poor taste/ecchi scenes scattered throughout the series, but I won't mention all of them. I do want to mention, though, in ep 10, there's a scene where Illya wakes up thinking she's still dreaming, and kisses Miyu on the lips thinking that she's her brother, and Miyu acts like she's fine with it, afterwards O_O; Later on in the same ep when they're both in school, Miyu remains close and basically clings to Illya the whole time they are in school, much to the dismay of the other girls, and Miyu basically acts like a yandere not wanting anyone to come near her or Illya; The end card with Miyu and Illya at the end of ep 10, too, is quite ecchi/lesbian-ish O_O; As for the story itself, it wasn't too bad, it comprised mostly of collecting the cards, in other words, a lot of fighting. The fights, though, ranged from so-so, to pretty awesome at times, especially the 2 ep long fight against Saber Alter. That was easily the best one, and a lot of good teamwork was shown in that one. The one thing I didn't get in the fight against Saber, though, was how in ep 6, Illya basically had something or someone take over her, and had her turn into Archer. That was never really explained. One of my favorite comedy moments was in ep 3 @ the 2:42 mark when "tube-curls" Luvia was doing her "Ooooh-HoHoHoHoHoHoHoHo" laugh, and Rin delivers a devastating kick to her neck, bringing her down! It was hilarious to watch! There are some other amusing moments, but I thought those were a little far and few between for me. As for the music, it was alright, but the OP song was simply the best, and my favorite of the Summer Season in which this show aired. All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone unless someone was a die-hard type-moon fan, and can look past the lewd stuff. There are some good pretty good actions scenes in here, after all, and Saber Alter, of course! However, from what I've heard from one of the video comments on CR, the 2nd season of the anime is going to be based on the 2nd manga, which unfortunately, apparently goes into yuri territory! O_O Ay caramba!
Fate/stay night (TV) Excellent
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (movie) Excellent Finished on 7/21/13. Wow! That was a lot of action! I don't think this is a movie one should really watch without already having prior knowledge from either the visual novel, or from having watched the Fate/Stay Night series. It seemed like some things weren't really explained in great detail, but that's ok, since the action was pretty intense and the bit of character interaction that was present, was done well enough that I understood the gist of what was going on. I guess this followed Rin's route in the visual novel, so that was why it seemed almost like Shirou was closer to Rin than anyone else, including Saber. Also, it was revealed that Archer was the future Shirou Emiya? I wonder why I don't remember that from the Fate/Zero or Stay Night series. One thing that I thought was a little strange and comical at the same time, was how quick it seemed like Shirou became super skilled as a fighter. From the time he first summoned Saber, it seemed like he was growing at such an alarming rate that he could actually fight pretty decently against his future self as well as Gilgamesh. Wow, is all I can say to that! Little strange, but that's alright since this was a movie, and it would've been boring to have to watch him train and whatnot. As for the music, I don't remember anything that really stood out, so I think it did its job in creating the right atmosphere for each scene. As for fan service or ecchi scenes, there was really only 1 late in the movie, where ecchi Shinji licked a tied-up Rin! O_O Thankfully, he only got 1 quick lick before Lancer kicked his butt! Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone that loves the Fate series. It's really a nice action-packed movie that does a great job of keeping the viewer engaged and almost on the edge of their seat for a good portion of the movie. Newcomers ought to beware, though, and should re-consider watching the Fate series before this one to get a better background of the story and the characters. Note: I watched the dubbed version, and some of the English voices were pretty bad! Wish I had watched the subtitled version.
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV) Excellent
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV 2) Excellent This is for both seasons: Finished in 5 days from 7/4/15 to 7/8/15. This was actually a really good series! The artwork of course, and the battle scenes, were really nice. The characters, I think, are what you would expect from the Fate/Stay franchise. Although, I have to say that Rin was incredibly cute in this series, as she was your typical tsundere except without much physical violence towards Shirou. Her whole reaction to Shirou's indirect love confession in episode 16 was simply awesome, what with how he indirectly tells Lancer that Rin is the one whom he loves, and that he shouldn't try anything funny with her. The ending was pretty good, too, and I felt mostly satisfied with the end. That handshake at the end of the epilogue ep was kinda weak, though. A hug or a kiss would have been a better end, imo, especially since it seems that they really are a couple. Ep 16 - Wow, at about the 13:10 mark, I like that whole scene how Shirou basically declares how much he cares and loves Rin. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8.5.

First Kiss Story (OAV)
Five Numbers! (OAV) Good Finished in 1 day (1/4/13). Ok for a short anime show. I didn't really completely get the plot, but nonetheless, there was a certain intrigue to want to know how they were going to escape from where ever it is that they were (space - as it was later revealed). You could distinguish right away the different personalities of each of the five characters and that was nice. The music was good enough that it set up a good atmosphere for each scene. The end song was a little strange and seemed out of place though. All in all, this does make for a decent watch if one doesn't have time to watch any long series.
FLCL (OAV)
Flowers of Evil (TV) Good Finished on 6/24/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. Even before I had watched a single ep of this series, I had already heard a lot from the fans of the manga that this would be the surprise show of the season, and that it was extremely deep. Sure enough, after the 1st ep, I’ll have to admit that I was pretty hooked and interested in this show. I mean, who steals the gym clothes of the person that they secretly have a crush on? And that ED theme! That creeped me out to the max when I first heard it at the end of the 1st ep! Never in my life have I heard an anime OP or ED theme have such a dark vibe to it. And I know I wasn’t the only one either that had thoughts similar to this, judging by other people’s comments about it. There’s really only 3 main characters in the show, Takao, Saeki & Nakamura, and it seems all 3 of them have more than a few screws loose, especially Nakamura. She’s like one of the most sadistic characters of all time. I still can’t believe how she was able to manipulate and blackmail Takao all because he couldn’t confess to stealing someone else’s gym clothes. For the 1st several eps, it almost seemed like it revolved around this blackmailing, and I literally started to get sick of it after a while. But thankfully, there’s a lot of surprise crazy things that occur in this season, like Takao’s pants getting pulled down, twice! Or him getting dressed in Saeki’s gym clothes while dating her at the same time! Just nuts is all I gotta say about that. It’s funny how Saeki is portrayed as kind of like an angel girl, or an innocent and pure girl. But she’s far from it, at least to me, since she doesn’t seem to care when she finds out that Takao stole her gym clothes, nor made a mess of their classroom. As for the rotoscoping, I think it worked great for this series as it seemed to make it even creepier and more realistic than if were to have a traditional anime look. And people’s faces too, whenever they were viewed from afar, had no distinguishing features on them, like a nose, lips, eyes, etc. As for the music, nothing really stood out to me except for the ED theme, but it did well enough for itself in creating the proper atmosphere for each scene. As for the ending, it left things at a bit of a cliff-hanger, with Takao asking Nakamura to have her sign another contract with him, and to help him out of the sea of poo-poo faces. All-in-all, it was a pretty decent show. I really liked it at first since it was something really bizarre that I wasn’t used to seeing, but after a while, I kinda lost a little bit of interest in the show, and just continued watching it just to see how things would resolve. I know a lot of people seem to think this is the greatest show since sliced bread, so I prolly would recommend it to those that are looking for a dark and disturbing show. Definitely not a kid-friendly show.
Fortune Arterial: Akai Yakusoku (TV) Good Finished in 2 days (11/8/12 to 11/9/12). Pretty good series, but the ending in my humble opinion was really rushed! I wish they could've made it into at least a 24 episode series. Too many things at the end weren't resolved, with almost everything left open-ended... I really wanted to see Kohei and Erica at least go on a date or something... but oh well. I had heard there was a 1 episode OVA that follows what happens after the series, but it seems to only be available through a fansub... so I may never get a chance to see it... sigh...
From Up On Poppy Hill (movie) Good It was ok. For some reason, I just never felt too drawn into all the drama. The subtitled voices, too, make the characters sound so much older than the dubbed voices! Odd really. And it's even more odd that I watched the dub version over the subtitled one (since I thought there weren't Japanese voices - or at least, I couldn't figure it out at first how to turn them on). I did kinda like the 2 main characters, though. Umi seemed really nice; Shun as well. I am glad that the movie seemed to have ended well, and it was about what I was expecting (with them being found not blood-related) when it was supposedly found out that they were blood-related siblings. I don't recall any profanity or ecchi scenes. The music was alright. Overall, a show that I think those in the romance drama will probably like.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV) Excellent Finished in 4 days from 8/6/14 to 8/9/14. Finally got to watching this after hearing so much about it! It was actually kinda tough to watch this at first, what with all those pentagon circles and whatnot that alchemists use, but I did my best to not think too much about it, and not to equate it with what they're generally known for in today's occult practices. The 2 main characters, the Elric brothers, were pretty likeable, but I also did like many of the other characters like Winry, Col. Roy, the Elric brothers' teacher, Izumi, etc.. It was a pretty good cast of characters and it was nice to see the majority of the many characters play important roles, and to not just be in 1 ep or 2, but in recurring eps throughout the whole series. The drama and plot was pretty interesting and intriguing throughout the majority of the series, it seemed like there was a lot of different things going on, and as result, though, I felt like I didn't completely understand everything that was going on. Of course, I wasn't really trying very hard to either. The action scenes were pretty decent; nothing too epic that I got overly excited about like with One Piece, Hajime no Ippo, Kenshin, or Reborn!. There were quite a number of sad & touching scenes, though, in which I teared up a little bit. The comedy elements were alright. However, I did think the jokes about how short Ed was, was pretty amusing. It seemed like they poked fun at him about that a lot in the early episodes! The music itself was pretty decent and did well in complementing the feeling and mood of each of the scenes. As far as ecchi scenes, I don't really recall any, but I think there was some profanity, at least in the dubbed version, like "What the hell?" There was also quite a bit blood and gory scenes, so children probably should not watch this. In fact, I really thought there was just too much of it. The ending was pretty good. It was nice to see everything work out and Winry and Ed become a couple at the end, and the scene in the last ep with them together was kinda cute, with how Ed asks her for an "equivalent exchange" giving each other half of their lives. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it an 8.5.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (OAV) Decent Finished in 1 day on 8/9/14. Some nice background info. Nothing more. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 6.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (movie) Good Finished in 1 day on 8/9/14. Pretty good movie. The drama was pretty interesting and it had a good amount of action scenes. Though, nothing too spectacular or epic (at least for me). In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.
(The) Future Diary (TV) Excellent Finished in 2012. Awesome, gripping series with pretty much every episode! Gasai Yuno is without a doubt the perfect example of a yandere character! I was a little sad with how it ended, but I had heard from others who had read the manga, which helped to explain to me what and how things happened at like the last 10 seconds of the last episode. Though, I really, really would've preferred to actually SEE it. I thought that would've made it so much more of a beautiful and happy ending! But still a pretty epic series nonetheless!
(The) Garden of Words (movie) Very good (dub & sub) Finished in 1 day (10/22/13). Wow! Talk about short and sweet (about 40 some minutes)! Definitely liked this one! Both main characters are likeable. The music is good and touching at just the right times, too! The visuals are also really beautiful and stunning at times as well! I don't recall any ecchi scenes or profanity (but I may be wrong on the latter part). The end was very sad, touching and beautiful ~ I cried a bit to say the least! It was good stuff! Chalk another good movie up for Makoto Shinkai! This is another sweet little movie about love (with a bit of an age gap between the main protagonists - 12 years?) that'll touch ones heart for those that like this kind of movie! Note: Subtitled version was better than the dub!
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (TV) Excellent Finished on 7/9/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. What a show! I very much enjoyed this one. It really needed to be a 2 cour season, though, in order to really maximize its potential. But for a 1 cour, I think it did well enough. The characters in this were very much likeable. I especially loved Ledo, Amy, Chamber, and Bellows. The character growth of Ledo and Chamber, I thought, was exceptional. Ledo, having always been a soldier for the Galactic Alliance, had his mind conditioned on survival and killing the alien species, the Hideauze, whom the GA are at war with. So his transition from that, to living on Gargantia, was certainly interesting in it, of itself. Some of his expressions and actions were hilarious as well, especially whenever Amy or Bellows wanted to feed him some meat, which he identified as being corpses! That was just "lol" funny! Chamber, too, seemed to evolve a bit, most notably near the end of the series. As for the animation, I do want to make a special mention of it, even though I rarely ever speak of the animation of a show. However, in this case, I feel it needs to be mentioned that it was just gorgeous, and some of the ocean scenes were incredibly beautiful and surreal-like. As for the music, it was actually quite good, and complemented each scene according to the appropriate mood of the moment. The ED theme, too, is one of my favorite songs; just beautiful and inspirational-like. The episodes themselves, for the most part, were interesting and kept me engaged and wanting to watch the next episode right away. There were also a number of really nice and touching moments in this series, that just made me want to say "awesome." Some of the battle scenes, in particular the couple or so in the beginning part of the series, were pretty epic-like for Ledo. So much so, in fact, that I had to re-watch some of those scenes numerous times! The main plot itself, didn't seem too out of the ordinary, but as the series went on, the dark secrets, or rather the truth about the war between the GA and the Hideauze, started to unravel, making things all the more interesting, especially for Ledo, who no longer knew what to do once he knew the enemies that he had been raised to kill were actually "evolved" humans. As for fan service, it seemed like episode 5 was a disguised "beach" ep, but it actually wasn't too outrageous, as I've seen a lot of worse beach-like episodes. However, ep 6, though, crossed the line. It went way over the line, in fact. This was the "festival" ep, and had Amy (who's 15), and the other 2 girls (who are 14 and 15) dancing at a bar/cafe/restaurant or whatever while wearing exceptionally revealing clothing. There were plenty of close-up shots, including panty shots, and lewd dance movements by the girls. The idea of this episode, in my opinion, was to slowly show Ledo, who previously had no other "desires" in life but to be a soldier for the GA, developing a newfound desire to live for something else. In this case, through Amy's dancing, it's obvious that he begins to take notice of her as a romantic interest. To me, though, this was done in poor taste, as I felt there were an abundance of other things that could've been done to have achieved the same result. I was quite disappointed and disgusted by this, to say the least. That aside, this show for me was still a remarkable one that I would highyl recommend to people since the character development for some of the characters (Ledo & Chamber in particular) is truly exceptional, and the drama and plot, for the most part, remained interesting and engrossing throughout the series. Note: There are at least a couple of OVAs (ep 14 & 15) coming out too, more than likely this year. Note 2: I wish I could've seen Ledo and Amy at least hold hands once! That would've made my day!
Generator Gawl (TV)
Geneshaft (TV)
Ghost in the Shell (movie) Decent Finished in 1 day on 7/7/14. Finally gave this one a shot! I had always seen and heard so much about this growing up in the 90s! I like how Siskel and Ebert gave this movie 2 thumbs up and have been quoted as saying that this movie is "unusually intelligent and challenging science fiction, aimed at smart audiences". It definitely seemed futuristic to me, and I had decently high expectations of this movie coming into it. However, all the nudity in it was just such a turn-off that I felt I didn't really enjoy it as much as I could have. I was too disappointed that there was so much of it, as soon as the 5 minute mark, in fact. And there plenty of breast shots. Granted, they were primarily breast shots of females without anything sexual about it, but still. I really don't want to see that kind of stuff. Not too mention all the profanity. There was a good amount of it. Some of the words used (at least in the English subtitles) are: a$$; a$$hole; fu*kin'; da*n; bullsh*t. Thankfully, I think there was only 1 pretty gory scene at the 59 minute mark. The main characters were all alright. Though, it's hard for me not to get a liking towards Major Kusanagi, what with all her awesome combat skills, and a bit of a mysterious/col-ish personality that I kinda like. There is at least 1 combat scene where she does display some of her great combat skills, and it's pretty cool to watch her in action. As for the overall drama and plotline, I wasn't too enthralled with the story. Just not my thing - perhaps it would have been in the past. However, I'll admit, too, it was probably a bit of a mistake that I tried to watch this with only 1-2 hours of sleep since my brain was kinda toast as I was watching, so I was kinda confused as to some of the things that were going on, especially in regards to Section 6 and 9. I'm not really sure what section 6 even specializes in, and honestly I don't feel that compelled to "Google" to find out since I didn't care too much for this movie. The ending was decent, and I was happy to see the Major survive a tough battle in the end, with the help of her partner Batou, as it seems her "brain shell" was never recovered and Batou places it in the shell? of a child, so now she's "alive" again. Overall, I don't feel like watching anything else from this series, especially if there's going to be nudity or a bunch of profanity again. The mysterious and kinda dark-ish story just isn't enough for me. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 6.
Giant Killing (TV) So-so Finished in 7 days (4/18/13 to 4/24/13). Ugh, this is easily the worst sports anime I've ever watched! I guess I was expecting a lot of "epic" moments of the coach really outsmarting and dominating his opponents. And yes, while he did on occasion outsmart his opponents, it came off, at least to me, as kinda plain and nothing too extraordinary; nothing that would really make a person say "Wow, that was brilliant!" For the most part, I found myself pretty bored throughout this series. None of the characters really grew on me either, and that's a bad thing. I don't think there was a whole lot of character development either to be honest, nor much of any improvement with each of the character's "football" skills. I did kinda like Tsubaki though, but his inconsistent performance due to him succumbing to pressure often made him difficult to watch as well. I'd say it took till ep 12 actually before I started to get a little more interested in the series. That was when Tsubaki scored in that game! I'll admit, I was quite happy that things finally seemed to go ETU's way! From then on though, it was still only just slightly more interesting for me, and I still had to force myself a little to get through the remainder of the series. As for the music of the series, I would say it was alright, nothing really stood out to me as something that I would listen to by itself. But I think the background music did an ok enough job to set the atmosphere of each of the scenes. Also, no fan service from what I recall, but that isn't too surprising since this is a sports anime after all. The last episode left things open-ended since it seems ETU qualified for the next round of the Japan Cup. Nagata-san also said it had been 3 years since the team made it to the top 8. It would have been nice to have seen how far they could have gotten, but it seems they ran out of episodes! Oh well, I did think that they ended things kinda nice with that curry party which got the fans, the team, the managers all together so that they could interact and support one another. All-in-all, I guess I would only recommend this to those that are into the sports genre or are interested in watching a mastermind outsmart his opponents.
Girl Next Door (OAV)
(The) Girl Who Leapt Through Time (movie) Very good Finished in 1 day on 7/1/14. Pretty good movie! The characters were alright, but none really stood out to me. The drama was decent but really started to pick up near the end, and I have to admit, there were some nice twists there towards the end that really made me like this movie much more than I was thinking after watching the first several minutes of the movie. The music was alright and seemed to fit appropriately with the scenes. No profanity or ecchi scenes from what I recall. The ending was a surprise, and I was happy to see it end on a happy note. With all the hints, too, it made me think that Makoto would build a time machine in order to meet up with the future Chiaki. All-in-all, I think this movie is best for teens and up due to the romance elements, and almost any person could enjoy. I mean, who doesn't love a movie about time-travel? In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.75.
Golden Boy (OAV)
Good Morning Call (OAV)
Gosick (TV) Excellent Finished in 2012.
Grave of the Fireflies (movie) Good Pretty depressing movie as I had expected. Depressing in the beginning, and especially towards the end as Setsuko got sicker and sicker. I just knew that she would start to suffer from malnutrition since it seemed like Seita was not feeding her well, and that it would be a matter of time before 2 young orphaned kids were in over their head. The 2 main characters themselves, were decently likeable. Though, I wish Seita would've swallowed his pride and went back to his aunt after Setsuko was found to be suffering from diarrhea and malnutrition. Setsuko, too, was a bit annoying as well with all the crying. I actually found the drama to be kind of boring, too, for the most part. The music was well done, though, and did well to enhance the atmosphere of the scenes. There were some nice and touching scenes as well, especially the scene with the fireflies in the bedroom of their shelter cave. No profanity or ecchi scenes either from what I remember. Overall, a good movie if one is into sad and depressing films, or one about the effects of war. Surprisingly though, I didn't cry, but I did feel pretty sad for the 2 main characters. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 6.5.

H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~ (TV)
.hack//Intermezzo (OAV) Good Watched in 1 day from either 2/18/15 or 2/19/15. A decent episode detailing a bit about one of Mimiru's 1st experiences in The World. The funny thing is, during her flashback, I didn't even realize the young girl was her, and it wasn't till probably half the episode, or most of the flashback was gone, that a light bulb lit in my head, and I realized that the girl was Mimiru! Anyway, nothing too special to see here but since I do like Mimiru's character, I don't really mind seeing an episode dedicated to a part of her past. Also, I did not really like her male partner in her flashback. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.
.hack//Legend of the Twilight (TV) Decent ANN server lost my data for this, so re-writing what I remember from about 1 and a half weeks ago or so. Watched probably in 2 days from 2/11/15 to 2/12/15. Ugh. Honestly, I don't really remember this one too well already. But what I do remember is that there are situations that made me uncomfortable with, especially of the sometimes ecchi behavior of Shugo and Rena towards one another, who are brother and sister. I think there were more ecchi scenes thrown in here than all the other .hacks no doubt for fan service. Thankfully, they don't actually get as far as the main characters did in Oreimo. The battle scenes were nothing too great, but there was 1 almost epic-like surprise entrance of the Silver Knight from .Hack//Sign. Just too bad his role ended pretty quick in, I think, 1 episode before his character was off'ed. For the majority of the series, I was hoping for the arrival of the real Kite and BlackRose, and this hope is probably the main thing that got me to watch this whole series, as it wasn't all too great to be honest. Another thing that I was hoping for, was after, I think, in the 1st episode, where Aura appears (Woohoo!) and kisses Shugo, was Aura and Shugo becoming more romantically involved, even just a little bit. But too bad, just wasn't meant to be. As for the ending, I didn't really like how it ended with Shugo and Rena basically saving the day together in the fashion in which they did it in, in flying together with the power of Kite's bracelet. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 5.75.
.hack//Quantum (OAV) Very good ANN server lost my data for this, so re-writing what I remember from about 8 days ago. Watched in 1 day probably on 2/13/15. For a short 3 OVA series, this was pretty good! While the battle scenes weren't epic-like, they were just done well and interwoven into the interesting storyline that kept me engrossed for pretty much the whole series. Also, I did like the main characters as well, especially the main female protagonist, Sakuya. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.75.
.hack//Roots (TV) Decent Finished in 3 days from 4/25/15 to 4/27/15. My expectations were pretty high coming into this, and wow, did this disappoint! Very much so! There wasn't a whole lot of battle scenes, and the ones that were present, they were all ho-hum to me, and nothing very exciting. The story itself, at least at the beginning was decent, since it was intriguing to me as to what made Haseo so special that everyone seemed to be after him, or talking about him. I did like, too early on the possible romantic relationship between Haseo and Shino, and that was what kept me watching early on. I wasn't really a big fan of any of the characters except Shino, as she was just really nice and very likeable and charismatic. She was the saving grace of this series for me. Haseo, from what I remember, just seemed kind of pitiable with how weak his character was from a battle standpoint, and his attitude also, I thought, needed an adjustment. And when Shino became a lost one in, I think, ep 13, Haseo just really becomes a character I had a difficult time watching, as he really became cold to any character he came across, and was just so mean, especially to Tabby, who was trying so hard to help him. I actually felt rather bad for her. Haseo's attitude got so bad I just wanted to quit watching the series, but kept on going since I had already watched most of the series, and just wanted to finish it, and I also was hoping that Haseo would grow out of his "bad-guy" character and eventually rescue Shino. As for the ending, I will say that I was surprised to learn that, I think, Ovan had killed Shino, and that I was happy to see Haseo lose those "bad guy" clothes and super mean attitude he had. The ending, though, really set it up for the .Hack//G.U. games, and I just might read the wiki pages for it to see what happens in it. As for ecchi scenes, I actually can't seem to recall any in this series. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 6.
.hack//SIGN (TV) Good ANN server lost my data for this, so re-writing what I remember from 2 weeks ago or so. Watched maybe in 3 days from 2/9/15 to 2/11/15. Pretty good series. A good engrossing atmosphere concentrating mostly on story and on the main character, Tsukasa, since she is an oddity in the game that nobody can explain. I didn't really like Tsukasa's character, though, since she had a tendency to be negative, and rely too much on her "pet" to do the battles for her. I wish she could've tried harder to make the stats of her character better. I did really like Mimiru and Subaru, though. They had pretty likeable personalities for me. Not much battle action here, and the ones that were present, were pretty simplistic and nothing really epic-like from what I remember. As for the ending, I know it ended kind of abruptly and quick, but that's obviously because this was just a set-up, or a prequel to the .Hack games, which I have not played, but will try to read the .Hack//Another Birth manga, which is supposed to re-tell the story of the .Hack games from BlackRose's perspective. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7. Now if Tsukasa was a male, then I would probably give this a 7.75 since the end scene of the last episode with Tsukasa and Subaru coming together/reuniting would have been so much more impactful and emotional.
Haibane Renmei (TV) Good Finished in about 4 days (10/11/14 to 10/14/14). After hearing about Haibane Renmei as a show that Christians might like, I went ahead and gave this a good watch, and it's not too bad of a series. It's certainly a very mysterious show that has the potential to really get a person thinking about sin and about life and life after death, especially since they are pretty big themes in this. Still wonder what's behind those walls. Perhaps titans! :p Seemed pretty slow at first for the 1st 5 eps, but of course, they were just introducing the world, the characters, what Haibane's are, etc.. They also get into sin, and the effects of sin. There's pretty much no action/fast paced sequences, just slow drama that finally builds into something with what happens in ep 6, and the series gets pretty interesting from there. Music is ok and does well to complement the eerie and fantasy filled world. The characters are actually all pretty likeable. I know I actually did come to like a lot the 2 main characters in Rakka and Reki, and couldn't help but hope for the best for them, especially for Reki. I really wanted her to be forgiven, and for her to take her Day of Flight. No ecchi scenes or profanity from what I recall. The ending was actually pretty good and moving as well. I had some tears in my eyes. Just happy that everything turned out well for Reki (and that she finally got over her inner struggle of not wanting to trust anyone ever again for fear of being betrayed), and was happy that Rakka could be that bird for Reki. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give this a 7.

High School of the Dead (TV) Good Finished in 2 days (12/31/12 to 1/1/13). I almost don't know what to say about this 1st season... the plot is pretty straightforward: save yourself, your friends, look for family members and... kill any zombies that get in your way. Each episode is pretty engrossing what with all the never-ending zombies that have not only populated the high school, but the whole world (literally at the same time). The characters never do figure out why the zombies started appearing and how they are able to make other people zombies just by biting them. The battles can be a little interesting and intense at times, and the background music does a great job of setting the atmosphere for each scene. The big drawback to this series (at least for me) was the overly-used fan service bits and ecchi moments that are in almost, if not every episode, including the opening intro. It was so bad I found myself either averting my eyes or fast forwarding thru some scenes (especially the bath scene where all the main character females are involved). There is also a lot of gore. The ending was open-ended and set itself up for a 2nd season. Overall, if one is into the survival-horror genre, they will like this, but I would strongly caution against watching this if one is offended by the surreal amounts of fanservice that have been unfortunately scattered throughout the whole 1st season. Lastly, a 2nd season has been announced, but fans have been told to wait in patience for it.
Hikaru no Go (TV) Masterpiece My favorite series of all time. Who knew a game about "GO" could be so dramatic and suspenceful?!

Hoop Days (TV) Excellent Finished in 2012. I really liked this series. I know many people prefer Kuroko's basketball, but I'm the complete opposite. I think it's because I thought Aikawa was just a really cool main character lead, and I like those, and love seeing them succeed! I do wish, however, that Mai and Aikawa could've gone on an official date since I don't really see the one that they went on as a real one, but oh well. Also, I was a bit sad and disappointed with how the last game in the tournament had gone - I really wanted them to win, what with all the effort Aikawa and the team had put in. Overall, I was pretty entertained with this series.
Hoshizora Kiseki (ONA) Good Finished in 1 day on 1/2/13. For a short 1 ep anime, it wasn't too bad, but wasn't anything spectacular either. There isn't much to say about the clichéd plot, but the way it unfolded was still a bit touching. As for the music, there was one song that kept playing a lot in the background with different remixes; it was exceptional to say the least, though I feel like I've heard it somewhere before... Overall, for a 30min anime, it would make for a good quick watch in which a person doesn't have the time to spend on a whole season or seasons of episodes.
Howl's Moving Castle (movie) Very good Finished in 1 day on possibly 5/7?/14. Really good adventurous and magical movie! Really nice and interesting cast of main characters. I really liked Calcifer, despite him being a demon, he was a really cute little fireball. The music was good and fit well with the scenes. As for ecchi and profanity scenes, none really from what I call. The plot was pretty interesting throughout, and didn't really have much, if any, boring parts. One of the parts at the end made me lol, when Sophie kisses that scarecrow and it turns into a handsome prince from another kingdom; totally corny, but nice to see anyway. Also, at the end, I was a bit shocked that Sophie and Howl appear to kiss at the very end, which is kind of strange since, I think, Sophie is still like a 90 year old woman since she still has that silver hair! I mean, wow, I can't imagine being in Howl's position and doing that. All-in-all, another great movie by Miyazaki-san that I believe can be enjoyed by almost any type of person, but since there are romance elements, it would probably be best viewed by those that are at least in their teens. In terms of entertainment, I would have to give it an 8.0.
I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying (TV) Good
I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying: 2nd Thread (TV 2) Good This is for the 1st 2 seasons: Finished in 12 days from 6/20/15 to 7/2/15. That was kind of a fun and cute little series. Although, some parts of it, like with Hajime's cross-dressing little brother, are a bit troubling. Ep 13 - Wow, that was a sweet way to end things, with Kaoru and Hajime finding out that Kaoru is pregnant. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.25.

If I See You in My Dreams (TV)
Infinite Stratos (TV) Good Finished in 1 day on 8/3/14. Ecchi/fanservicey 1st season, but drama really picks up with the last few eps. I do like the characters but I just wish the ecchiness was obsolete. A list of some of the ecchi scenes can be found in my notes. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.25.
Infinite Stratos 2 (TV) Good Finished in 2 days from 8/3/14 to 8/4/14. More of the same ecchi/fanservicey stuff, and again, the drama really picks up with the end of ep 10 till the end of the season. Pretty good ED song as well. I do like the characters still and the new characters that are introduced, but again, I just wish the ecchiness was obsolete. A list of some of the ecchi scenes can be found in my notes. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.35.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (TV) Excellent (Started on 5/4/15 and finished on 6/30/15) - Watched up to ep 5 on 5/4/15. And watched the rest when about 2-3 new eps were available to watch. I really like the character designs, and the 2 main characters, Hestia and Bell, are really likeable for me. Bell and Hestia, especially, are just so cute together, it's unbelievable! Although, Aiz Wallenstein, I think would be also really cute with Bell as well. This really needs a Visual Novel since I would love to see both routes! The drama so far has been pretty good, and it's nice to see Bell working hard to get stronger and stronger, and Hestia also doing what she can for Bell, what with the new sword she was able to get made for him. I will say that there seems to be a bit of fan service in pretty much each episode considering how Hestia is scantily dressed almost every episode, or with her or another female characters breasts shaking/bouncing around. In ep 5, especially, it seemed like the fan service increased a bit, as it even now showed Aiz with half of her breast showing after she defeated a floor boss. - Ep 8: Wow, that was a great and dramatic gutsy fight by Bell to take down that Minotaur! After watching the rest of the series (eps 6-13), I still really like the series, the plot, & the main characters. The ending was kinda nice and it was great to see Bell be a real hero. Though, the last fight scene wasn't as dramatic as I'd hoped. I was also really hoping for a real confession scene between Bell and Hestia (or Bell and Aiz), but alas, maybe if there's a 2nd season... However, it was nice and cute to see them together at the ending scene. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 9.
Jikū Bōken Nūmamonjaa (OAV) Weak This is an embarassment to the game. Why was this atrocity even created in the first place?
Jing, King of Bandits: Seventh Heaven (OAV) Decent Finished in 1 day (1/28/13). A decent OAV series. Nothing too great or fancy. Jing is as "cool" and collected as he always is and Kir is still as ecchi as he ever was. The music was pretty average, and some of it actually sounded a little corny or cheesy. No fan service or anything too outrageous though so that's always a big plus - though there was 1 transformation sequence of a doll transforming into a nude woman - it didn't really show anything and was handled in a pretty decent manner. The plot and execution of it was alright - I wasn't very engrossed in it to be honest. I was a little confused with the ending though. At the end, we find out that Jing helps himself to the "illusion of the sleepless king" - Campari's most prized dream orb. My question is, what is that dream? Does it have anything to do with Jing, or is it the dream of Campari and Benedictine having become husband and wife? Also, Campari says at the end: "Where ever these seeds land, that will be home." What does that mean? Oi, the ending was a little ambiguous to me, but oh well. Needless to say, I probably wouldn't recommend this OAV series to anyone, except maybe hardcore Jing fans.
Jing: King of Bandits (TV)
Kaede Newtown (movie) Good Finished in 1 day on 11/8/13. Not even sure how I came across this one! But it was a strange, yet cute show, that actually had me chuckling at times, specifically when Mikio was confessing his love to Haruko and it was being broadcast on all TVs, cell phones and monitors of all kinds. I just thought it was hilarious for some reason! Strangely enough, Mikio, the main protagonist, looked like an asian Charlie Brown because of his shirt, which was eerily similar. The music was actually pretty good and went well with the scenes. No ecchi scenes or profanity ~ totally fine for kids to watch, but they probably won't like the love aspects! All-in-all, not bad for a one-shot and would really only recommend this for someone who wanted something short (28min), and cute and about young love.

Kids on the Slope (TV) Excellent Finished in 2 days (11/5/13 to 11/6/13). From start to finish, just a great series! Honestly, one of the best slice-of-life shows of all time! The characters were all distinct, and for whatever reason, I couldn't help but care for all of them! I think it was the character designs and the artwork, though, that just made the characters feel more real than usual. As for the music, it was definitely good, too, especially the OP theme; It honestly has such a feel-good, cheery feeling to it! As for ecchi scenes or uses of profanity, I don't really recall any. The plot and drama of the series was at a pretty good level throughout ~ it never felt too slow, but felt just right and no episodes ever felt like a filler! I don't want to say too much here, but the theme of friendship was explored greatly in this, and I loved it. The romance aspects made things very interesting for me as well. I always figured that Ri-chan and Kaoru would end up together by the end, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I thought the ending of the series was a great way to end it with Kaoru finding Sentaro (who becomes a priest in training ~ raising kids, too? ~ didn't like too much the drums playing in Church, though) and Ri-chan showing up at the last second smiling at them both! Surprisingly, I didn't cry, but that ending was truly good and beautiful stuff with that feel good music playing in the background! One of my favorite endings of all time ~ and it doesn't even have anything to do with lovers getting together, etc. or a dramatic death scene at the end!
Kiki's Delivery Service (movie) Very good Finished in 1 day on 6/18/14. Pretty good story throughout, all pretty likeable main characters. Anyone can watch this show; no profanity or ecchi scenes. In terms of enjoyment, I would have to rate this an 8.15.
Kimi ni Todoke - From Me to You (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days (12/2/12 to 12/3/12). Not too bad of a romantic comedy. This really seemed like one of those heart-warming, feel-good animes. It was kind of tough to watch at the beginning because of Sawako's ignorance/innocence. She is easily one of the most dense female main characters I've ever seen. However, she has really awesome and trustworthy friends to make up for it. There were also a few good "lol" moments, but not a whole lot. The season ended nicely and set itself up for more further romantic developments in the next season.
Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days (12/3/12 to 12/4/12). Truly, a beautiful and emotional series. I will admit though, I was starting to get pretty upset at Sawako because of all her "misunderstandings." She is like the Queen of being "dense!" Despite this, I was pretty happy overall with how everything turned out at the end. I do feel bad for Kurumi though, but I was glad to see her and Sawako seem to be cool with one another now, or at least as cool as they're probably going to get. If they make another season, which is possible since the manga is still on-going, I certainly wouldn't mind givin' it a good watch, especially since it is now crystal clear and official (with no misunderstandings standing between them) that Sawako and Kazehaya are a couple. ^__^
(The) Knight in the Area (TV) Very good Finished in 2012. Yet another good sports anime! I really hope they make another season.
Koihime (OAV)
Kurenai (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day (12/30/12). A lot better of an anime than I first thought. The atmosphere can be a little dark at times, but not too bad overall. There are a few scenes with some gore in it. The music was pretty good too and the ending theme was very well done. The storyline was pretty interesting as well, even though the plot for each episode doesn't really advance the main plot till much later in the series. Despite that, they were still engrossing and gave me a good chuckle every once in a while. The story does get into incest a little bit which was a big turnoff for me. The main characters are ok though, although I am a little confused as to why Shinkurou doesn't become superhuman in his battles in the later episodes like he does near the beginning of the series. I was disappointed that Shinkurou didn't choose a clear love interest either (unless that last scene where he had a dream was supposed to hint at something); I was rooting for Yūno, but it doesn't seem he was too interested - that was saddening to me... All-in-all, this was a surprisingly good series and would recommend to those that like a bit of a dark story with some nice action and drama mixed in.
Kuroko's Basketball (TV) Good Finished in 2012. I know a lot of people love this series, but in my humble opinion, I thought it was just an ok basketball series. At least for me, I didn't really like much of any of the main characters, and for me, that's a HUGE problem. I really need to like or be able to relate with the main character at least a little bit, and if I can't, it just seems a little boring to me. And that's the way I felt for a lot of this series. There were parts of course, like during some of the matches, that I got into it a little bit, but I don't think I ever got really engrossed like I did during some of the matches with Hoop Days and especially Slam Dunk. If they make a 2nd season, which I think they certainly need one, I'll probably still watch it.
Lady Death (U.S. movie) Good Finished in 1 day on 4/30/13. Finished in 1 day on 4/30/13. Not a whole lot to say about this one, I guess! I thought the storyline was alright, albeit a little cheesy, especially the battle scenes with Asmodeus and Lucifer. I did like how they flash-backed to how Hope became Lady Death in the first place. I thought that background information was great to have seeing as I've never read the comics so I have no idea how she became who she already was at the beginning scenes of the movie. Also, there was quite a bit of blood, gore, decapitating, and perverse female demons by Lucifer's side - so definitely not a movie for children. The music was alright, nothing special in my opinion, but I think each musical track did a good enough job for each scene. Since Lady Death was cursed at the end by her father, Lucifer, it seems her soul has now been trapped in Hell until the very last minion of Lucifer can be killed. The thing that I found strange though, is how can those demons/minions die in the first place if they are already in Hell? I would have thought that nothing could die anymore once a creature is already there. Also, it seems like Lucifer's court Jester, Pagan, seemed to have resurrected himself there in the end too, and I suspect that he's actually impossible to kill permanently. Thus, it makes me think that Lady Death is stuck in Hell forever. Honestly, I don't think I would really want to recommend this show to anyone. It's just... decent, nothing that great, but not terrible either. But I think there are many other good ones out there that I think this is one that should be passed up unless one is a hardcore Lady Death fan.
Last Exile (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days (From 1/6/15 to 1/8/15). Pretty good show. Overall, the main characters were pretty likeable. Drama was good, though, there were some parts that I felt kinda bored. I was kinda sad to see some of the characters die, especially that one guy who just needed 1 more medal until he would be able to serve on any ship, as well as Luciola's. Don't recall any fan service or ecchi scenes. May have been minimal profanity in the Funi subs, but don't really recall. The ending was alright; felt kinda rushed, and I didn't feel very touched for some reason like I usually do with endings, but it was a decently happy one, though, that actually reminded me a bit of the visual novel "If My Heart Had Wings", with the references to flying in the sky and whatnot. Near the beginning of the series, I was kinda pushing for a Claus and Alister pairing at first after their little close scene that they had. But later on, after that shocking kiss in ep 15, then kinda Sophia and Claus, but it appears neither pairing will happen, and I would expect it to be Claus and Lavie. In terms of entertainment, I would have to give this an 7.75.
Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing (TV) Decent Finished in 2 days (From 1/8/15 to 1/9/15). Pretty decent overall. I feel like I was mostly watching it for awesome epic scenes with Dio, Tatiana and the Silvius. I was also really hoping to see much more of Claus, Lavie, and Empress Sophia, but that was not to be, and they were barely shown, which is a bit of a bummer, but I can understand since the writers probably didn't want them to steal the show since it was supposed to be about Fam. To be honest, though, I didn't feel too attached to the 3 main characters in Fam, Giselle and Princess Millia. I definitely liked the 2 main characters of Claus and Lavie, as well as the 1st season, better. It was actually quite difficult to watch the first 3 to 5 eps, but what made it get better, though, was the appearance of Tatiana, and thank God for that (as well as for Dio as well!). There were some touching scenes, though, that I teared up a little bit. Some of the battle scenes (especially a couple or so of the ones with Dio in it) were pretty engrossing as well. The music was pretty good, too, and did well to enhance the atmosphere of each of the scenes. Don't recall any ecchi scenes, but I think there may have been some profanity in the Funi subs. As for the ending, I was glad to see a happy ending, but for whatever reason, it felt a bit unsatisfying. Maybe because I was hoping to see Claus and Lavie for like this whole series, and they pretty much show up at the last ep (not including one of the recap eps) near the end with Claus in a wheelchair! I was really hoping they could've played a bit of a role in this series, as well as Empress Sophia, who was pretty much shown at the end of the series and didn't get much screen time, sadly. In terms of entertainment, I would have to give this a 6.45.
Last Order Final Fantasy VII (OAV)
Leave it to Kero! Theatrical Version (movie)
Log Horizon (TV) Excellent Finished in 2 days from 4/28/15 to 4/29/15. Very good series! Much better than I anticipated! Great cast of characters! I like a lot of the characters, especially Shiroe and Akatsuki, who herself is super moe! I'm definitely shipping them both! There actually isn't a whole lot of battles in this 1st season, but when there was, it was pretty interesting, and I like how they explained how the battle system works. None of the battle scenes were as epic as any from One Piece (from what I remember), but they're still done very well. The drama was well done and had me engrossed for pretty much the entire 1st season. Shiroe really is a smart dude, and kind of reminded me of Light from Death Note. As far as ecchi scenes, they usually come from Naotsugu who has a habit of saying ecchi things, but usually Akatsuki would smack him before he would have a chance to finish whatever perverted thing he was about to say. Not much of any visually ecchi scenes from what I remember. As far as the ending, it seemed to end on a good note and set itself up nicely for the 2nd season, which I'm really looking forward to. And now it seems there are at least 4 love interests after Shiroe, which is kinda surprising since I did not realize this would turn into a harem show! O_O In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 9.15.
Log Horizon (TV 2) Very good Finished in 2 days from 4/30/15 to 5/1/15. Wow, definitely not as good as the 1st season. I did like how they tried to focus a bit, though, on Akatsuki early on in the season, and to develop her character. What really killed this season for me was the emphasis on the kids. It seemed like they really tried to focus more on them in the middle to late part of this series, and I found that to be a bit on the boring side. I did like the surprise character of ROE 2, Shiroe's alternate character. She seems like another pretty cool character. The drama in this was pretty good throughout, except during the arc with the kids. The ending, or the last few episodes were really interesting and engrossing, and it was good to see Shiroe struggle a bit and be forced to flee during that last raid, and for him to come back (with the encouragement of his friends) like a boss, and to showcase his exceptional battle strategy skills. Still not sure how Shiroe feels about Akatsuki, but I certainly hope they tease us some more with more scenes with them together like when they both died and were on the moon together. That was a great scene. The ED song is also a pretty good song worth mentioning. As for ecchi scenes, I can't really recall anything too outrageous, but I do want to mention there being a male character that dresses like a female, and there being a male character (in real life) being a female idol in the game. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.75.
Looking Up At The Half-Moon (TV)
Lord Marksman and Vanadis (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day on 7/16/15. Can't remember a whole lot from this already, but this is one I don't think I would recommend due to some of the ecchi scenes in this. I do remember one scene where one of the female characters gets a poisonous snake bite just above one of her breasts (unless it was at the top part of her breast), and the main male protagonist had to suck it out, and when he does this, he grasps firmly her other breast, which I think was totally unnecessary and was done to please ecchi fans. I think I remember there being more breast grappling in other scenes; there may have been about 4 or more of these kinds of scenes throughout the series. As for the characters, the 2 main ones, Tigre and Elen, were actually pretty likeable. The drama was pretty good as well, and I did like how there was quite a bit of strategy utilized in some of the large scale battles, and it was nice to see how Tigre used his intelligence to outwit some of his opponents in battle. The ending was satisfying for the most part; although, since it seems like this is the end of the anime series, I would have liked to have seen something more concrete in him choosing Elen as his romantic interest. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8.25. If it wasn't for all the ecchi scenes, I would probably give this a 9.

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! (TV) Good Finished in 2 days (12/28/12 to 12/29/12). Not too great, but not too bad of an anime either. The musical score was ok, but nothing really outstanding. The main characters were likeable and provided some "lol" moments. The thing that I found rather amusing was when Yūta acted like his former altar ego, The Dark Flame Master. His voice sounded like Zero's from Code Geass which had me chuckling a little bit. I did also like the occasional sliding sweep that Rikka and Dekomori would sometimes do - which would usually come from out of nowhere, and as a result, provide a good laugh. The plot for most of the episodes were so-so, with the exception of the last few episodes. The ending at least, was a good and happy one. Overall, I thought this series was ok, but definitely not something I would want to watch a second time.
A Lull in the Sea (TV) Very good (Started on 6/19/15 and finished on 7/14/15). Ep 1 - Dat fish farting in class was a lol moment for me! Ep 5 - Wow, that was quite a moving scene when Akari finds Miuna and tells her that she's not going anywhere, even though she can't replace Miuna's mom. I expected a lot from this series to be honest, but during the 1st 8 eps or so, it was pretty dull for me. It really wasn't till ep 9 when things started to get interesting, which was when things started to hit the fan. The drama certainly increased, as the eps went by, and it became quite interesting at the beginning of the timeskip (ep 13?). I did actually like how the romance theme played out in this one, where it seems like everyone likes someone who actually likes another person. The characters were all pretty likeable for me, except Hikari at first; he drove me a bit bananas early on, and I was hoping that Manaka and him wouldn't end up as a couple, but maybe midway thru the series, it seemed like Hikari became more likeable for me, and I started to pull for Tsumugu and Chisaki (instead of Tsumugu and Manaka), and Hikari and Manaka by the end of it. For a good part of the series, though, I have to say that it almost seemed like nothing would ever really change and everyone would keep chasing after the same people. By the end, I was certainly satisfied with how the pairings went, and with how everything sorted itself out. The story was really written well, and had quite a bit of foreshadowing that helped to shape the future surprising (or maybe not so surprising) events that came to pass. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8.25.
Lunar Legend Tsukihime (TV) Excellent My fifth favorite series of all time. Besides Monster, which is still being fansubbed at the moment, this has gotta be one of the deepest storylines EVER. It's to bad they ended it so quickly and skipped over several explanations of important elements. In fact, it wasn't even close to being as deep as the game, it had only partially taken what it could and crammed it into a very short 13 episode series, which easily could have been 30+ episodes. Put simply, if they had incorporated all the elements from the game into the anime, I would easily have placed this as my third favorite, if not 2nd, depending on how it would have been presented and how the storyline would unfold.
Maburaho (TV)
Magi: The Kingdom of Magic (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days from 4/22/15 to 4/23/15. Wow, maybe it's just me, but this seemed a bit darker than the 1st season. Maybe a little more gore, too. The drama, though, I think was a bit better and engrossing, too. I was a bit saddened that Morgianna kinda disappears after ep 11, and doesn't make a return till near the end of the season. Unfortunately, more ecchi scenes, too, with Aladdin acting like a perv, and Aladdin and Alibaba going to something like a cabaret. Thankfully, those scenes are intersperced throughout the series, and (at least to me), aren't one of the main themes of the series. The ending was nice, and seems like there should be a 3rd season with the way it ended. From what I understand, the manga is still ongoing so there's still a possibility. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this an 8.25.
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (TV) Very good Finished in 3 days from 4/20/15 to 4/22/15. Pretty good 1st season. Aladdin is such an ecchi little boy, though. There's a few scenes in the series where he gets overly excited over female characters breasts, and actually charges his face and rubs his face on them. And wow, it actually does show him rubbing his face away at them... I was very disappointed and a bit angry about this. The drama was pretty decent in this one, and there were some parts and episodes that I thought were pretty dull, but Morgianna is what made this series tolerable for me, as I really liked how epic she was in some of her fights, as well as how she handled certain situations. She's easily my favorite character in this series. The 2 main male protagonists, Aladdin and Alibaba, are also pretty likeable characters, though, for the most part (despite Aladdin's ecchiness), and go through some pretty tough times in the series that really put them to the test, especially Alibaba. Ep 17, which ended an arc, I believe, was pretty emotional at the end of the episode when everyone's spirits showed up and comforted their loved ones who were still alive. I teared up a bit here. Also, one of my favorite scenes in this whole series was in ep 8 at about the 5:40 mark, when Morgianna snuck into Alibaba's room and hid at the top part of his bed, such that, when he went to lie down on his bed, and then opened his eyes, she was staring right back at him! LOL! And his reaction was totally priceless that I had to re-watch this scene over and over again! As for the ending, I thought it ended on a pretty good note and set itself up nicely for a 2nd season. Overall, a pretty decent 1st season, but if Morgianna wasn't here, I don't think I could watch this. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 7.75. Without Morgianna, I think I would give this a 6.25.

Mahoromatic: I'm Home! (special) Good Finished in 1 day (7/16/13). Haven't really watched the series in a long while, so this was quite nostalgic for me. I really missed seeing Mahoro and Suguru... they are one of my all-time favorite couples for sure. And Mahoro is one of the cutest characters I've ever seen and heard (in the subtitled version). I love her "I think that dirty thoughts are bad" remarks! Since this is a 2 ep special, there's really not a whole to see in this one, just Suguru's friends opening up a maid cafe and preparing for a (anniversary) festival, and in the middle of that, a nice little bit of a battle that seemed to be over pretty quick. Some nude scenes, particularly during the bath scene, but nothing really of poor taste. The music was alright and seemed pretty fitting for this kind of show. I thought the OP song was pretty good, too. The ending scenes were pretty cute & sweet when Suguru and Mahoro were alone at the festival, and yet, a little sad, too, because I know that Mahoro can't really keep her word of going to the festival with Suguru every year since she will stop functioning in a little less than a year. Overall, a nice little special to add to the series.
Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful (TV)
Mahoromatic: Summer Special
MAOYU (TV) Good Finished on 3/29/13. Decided to watch this since it had the same main male and female character Seiyūs as the ones in Spice and Wolf, and looked like it would have the same kind of atmosphere, and it did! The music was alright, nothing spectacular, but it was done well enough to fit each scene appropriately. The opening theme was pretty good too. The main characters each had their own personalities and were all pretty likeable. There were a couple bad guy characters though that I didn't really like due to their evil agendas. Also, I would have liked to have seen more of Mage, and her split (3) personality thing she had going. She only showed up a few times in the series and it's pretty obvious she has extraordinary powers. The episodes themselves, for the most part, were good and interesting. An understanding of basic economics prolly would have helped me to understand more of the plot line, but from the gist of it, I can tell that Maou is an expert in economics. I will admit I liked the "useless flesh" tidbit that was brought up about Maou every once in a while. There was 1 ecchi scene that I can recall on ep 3 @ about the 20:20 mark that had me rolling my eyes. But other than that, I don't remember there being anything else too outrageous. However, in ep 9 & onward, the Church is made to really look like the bad guy which I really did not appreciate. I would have also liked to have seen a little more back-story about Yuusha, and even about Maou and the Head Maid. I mean, how did Yuusha even become as strong as he is? I guess he can take out entire armies by himself! One thing that we do know that may explain why he's as powerful as he is, might be the fact that he's 1 of 2 "living singularities." During a flashback scene with Maou and the Head Maid, Maou refers to the hero (when he was a baby), as 1 of 2 "living singularities." Now my question is, what is a "living singularity" and who is the other one? Perhaps if there's a 2nd season, we may find out then. 1 of my favorite scenes of the show came when the hero and Evil Maou were fighting at the beginning of ep 12, and the hero bends her sickle like it was nothing... I just lol'd how the most evil demon kings of ancient pasts are still no match for the hero. He really was beyond over-powered. Another ridiculous scene was at the last ep when the hero destroyed a mountain with a kamihamiha blast! I mean, what would've happened if there were people on that mountain! I know he was just trying to excite the crowd, but that was a bit extreme and careless! Oh well, it's an anime and it doesn't have to make sense sometimes! Overall, a good show, and the ending was a fine way to end things, but they definitely left things open for a 2nd season, and I certainly would be interested to watch it, should they ever make one. As good of a show as this was, I think Spice and Wolf was a little better since I feel they better developed the main characters of the show.
Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days (11/15/12 to 11/16/12). I thought this was one of the better romantic dramas I've seen in a while. Not a whole lot of fan service or clumsy slip-ups resulting in awkward moments or misunderstandings, which is a big plus for me! I really like how they developed each of the main character's potential love interest. I think this is always important in this particular genre. I was rooting so much for Airi, but it appears they went the direction of Miu's route in the visual novel game. I certainly wish they would've done something like they did with Oreimo, and done a "true" ending route with Airi, but oh well. Still a beautiful romantic drama regardless!

Miss Monochrome (TV) Very good (I think I watched many of the eps as it was simulcasted ~ finished watching when last ep was simulcasted back on 12/24/13) Pretty good series for one with only 4 minute eps! I really liked Monochrome-san's personality and the odd-ball stuff she does. She really makes the series interesting. Her manager, too, was really a nice fellow, and it was great to see him willing to help her achieve her dream of being an idol. There's a bit of a feel-good atmosphere with each of the eps, too. Amusingly ridiculous scenes with almost every ep. Really a good and fun series to watch especially for those that aren't looking for anything too serious. 4.15/5*

Murder Princess (OAV) Very good Watched all 6 episodes 9-8-07 in one day. Pretty interesting storyline, with a blood-hungry bounty hunter switching souls with the princess. Falis is certainly one of the more cooler main characters in an anime series that I've ever seen. As far as the action scenes go, they are just okay. My only real gripe is that I wish the series was much longer. They easily could have gone more into Falis's past, but with just 6 episodes, there's no way they could have really done that. Still a series worth watching in my opinion.
Mushi-Uta (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day (1/15/13). A pretty good series and much better than I was originally thinking. The plot was a little strange at first, and I found it a little difficult to tell exactly what was going on. But I wasn't too bothered by it since the mystery and the whole (dark) atmosphere of each episode was gripping and engrossing. As a result, I found it pretty easy to go from 1 episode to the next. The music was pretty good and I thought it fit the scenes appropriately. Also, I thought it was a nice change as well to see the main male character Daisuke portrayed as kind of a bad guy, or at least he's part of very shady organization. The other 2 female main characters I really liked as well. However, I wish Rina/Ladybird wasn't as stubborn as she decided to be near the end of the series and worked with Daisuke to come up with a better plan instead charging into the GARDEN all alone to try to free the Fallen, and then after that, to try to make a place in the world for all the hosts. She should've probably worked w/Daisuke to take down the 3 originals. In any case, I was really saddened at how deeply hurt Rina was when she found out that Shiika was going out with Daisuke... I was even more heart-broken at her tragic death in Daisuke's arms in the last ep. I wish she didn't have to die and that she could have maybe found someone special in her life - maybe that Centipede guy who was protecting her who became a Fallen - of course he would have to get his dreams/soul or whatever back? As for the ending, it was really sad, touching and beautiful all at the same time. However, there's still some open holes like the 3 originals still living (unless 1 of them died there at the end, I'm not really sure and 2 of the originals were never shown), what to do and how to help all the Fallen and no safe haven yet for those that are hosts - just to name the few obvious ones. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this to anyone that likes a good and intriguing dark plot with not-to-shabby fight scenes w/a sprinkle of romance.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse (TV) Very good Finished in 26 days from 5/16/15 to 6/11/15. The drama has been pretty good for the most part of this series. The characters are pretty likeable for the most part. They have their moments, though, when they can act quite mean and insensitive, especially Yui and Cryska near the beginning of the series. But I'm glad they start to warm up to Yuuya later on in the series when they start to get to know one another/spend time together on an island. Near the beginning of series, though, it seemed like there was a lot of fan service, especially when the female characters are first shown wearing those suits, which make it seem like the characters have huge breasts, and, if I remember correctly, they seemed kinda bouncy, which I know was just done for fan service purposes. I was really disappointed in this. Thankfully though, after the first few to several eps, I think the obvious fan service scenes wasn't as much and has been intermittently interspersed throughout the series. Ever since Yui started to have feelings for Yuuya, she has become incredibly kawaii and I can't help but hope she and Yuuya can end up together at the end. The visual novel would be an interesting play-through and I'd also love to see a Yuuya and Cryska ending. Just too bad, though, that there isn't currently an All-Ages English localization yet. The ending was ok and seemed to end on a good note and stopping point. However, I still kind of wish there could have been a more intimate moment or scene between Yuuya and Yui at the end, like a confession or something of the sort. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 8.
My Neighbor Totoro (movie) So-so Finished in 1 day on 6/26/14. When I first looked at the cover picture of this movie, my expectations weren't too high, despite it being a Miyazaki film. Sadly, I was right. I guess I felt there wasn't an actual plot to this, and throughout the movie, I would sometimes think what the point of this movie was. I guess I was hoping for some at least some action scenes or something that would grip me at least a little bit. As for the characters, I guess the main charaacter girl was kinda likeable, as well as the other characters. I didn't really care too much for Totoro. Though, I would bet a lot of people like him. For me, none of them really stood out as someone who'd be memorable for me. As for the music, it was pretty good. There was one track that actually reminded me of Clannad. As for profanity or ecchi scenes, none really that I recall. Overall, a good film for the kids, but for those looking for action scenes or major build-up of drama, may want to look elsewhere. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give it a 5.45.
Myself; Yourself (TV)
Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (TV)
Nabari no Ou (TV)
Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water (TV) Good Started about 9/16/14 and finished on 10/11/14. Not too bad of a series, but during the middle parts of the series, when Nadia and the gang were stuck on that one island, it was kinda boring and felt like the story was being dragged on more than it had to. The characters were pretty likeable for the most part. Nadia, though, kinda makes me want to shake my head incredulously sometimes with the way she acts (her self-righteous attitude and her over-the-top supposed non-meat eating ways). The music was decent, but the end theme was actually pretty good. No profanity or ecchi scenes from what I recall, although there are a few scenes where Nadia is feeling hot, temperature-wise, and so pulls on her shirt back and forth, almost kinda exposing her breasts, and Jean starts staring at them like a pervert. There are a few scenes here and there, where Nadia is naked (non-sexual scenes), but u don't really see any details of her private parts. As for the ending, it had a pretty happy end to it, which I liked. I'd give it a 6.75 out of 10 for overall enjoyment.
Nanaka 6/17 (TV)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (movie) Excellent Finished in 1 day on (possibly) 5/12/14. Wow, it was certainly as good as I thought it might be. The characters were pretty likeable, especially the main female character. The music was pretty good and fit well with each of the scenes. The plot was pretty intriguing and had me interested throughout the whole movie, with the exception of the first few minutes, but that's just because it was setting up the story, so that's understandable. I have to say that I was shocked to see Nausicaä go on a bit of a killing rampage on those who killed, whom I think was her father. She totally kicked their butt! There was at least one scene where I did tear a bit, too. As for the ending, I was happy that it seemed to end on a happy note. However, I'm not sure I completely understood it, though. It seems like the Ohmu restored/healed a dead/almost dead Nausicaä, since she had protected the baby Ohmu, and I guess the baby Ohmu had let the others know??? And I guess this caused all the Ohmu to then later retreat back to whereever?? To me, this doesn't really solve the problem with the spreading of the Sea of Decay and its spores. It seemed like it left things open for a sequel, and according to an ANN article, Miyazaki-san said he wasn't interested in making a sequel, but he would let Evangelion director Hideaki Anno do it, and he definitely wants to do it seems, so we'll see. The manga is complete and goes, from what I remember, much further than this movie. As for profanity and ecchi scenes, I don't really recall any. Overall, a great fantasy-filled adventure movie that I think can be enjoyed by almost anyone, but due to some of the violence, perhaps it would be most suitable for teens and up. In terms of entertainment, I would have to give it a 8.5.
Negima! (TV)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV)
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth (movie)
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie)
Nightwalker: The Midnight Detective (TV) Decent Watched in 2 days, 9-15 and 9-16 (probably in 2007). Show had this weird gloomy feel to it the whole time I watched it. The main character looked like one of those pretty boys from a bishounen series. The other characters were alright, nobody really outstanding there. It did have it's moments where it gets pretty sad like most series that fit into this genre. But nonetheless, I wasn't too satisfied with this series, and the ending too, had left me with questions such as how the heck is Cain STILL alive? And what's to become of Shido and Riho? Are they gonna be just "really close buddies" forever? And where in the world are all these Nightbreed coming from in the first place? So many questions left unanswered. Overall, it's not as bad as I make it sound to be, but certainly could've been better. The only people that should watch this are those into dark stories and dreary atmospheres, like myself.
Ninja Ryūkenden (OAV)
Nisekoi - False Love (TV) Very good Finished in 2-3 days from either 1/19/15 or 1/20/15 to 1/21/15. If it wasn't for all the fanservice, this series would have been so much better. Nonetheless, I still liked this series very much since Onodera was incredibly moe and likeable for a character, so much so, that I was rooting for her from the beginning all the way to the end. She is quite possibly the most moe character I've ever seen. Raku, the male protagonist, was a pretty good lead, too. I really liked how he always seemed to try to do the right thing and go out of his way to help people. The other love interests of Raku were interesting and pretty likeable as well, and I can't help but wonder what kind of stories would pan out if Raku chose this girl or that girl. This really could use a visual novel since I'd certainly like to see an Onodera ending, as well as other endings as I can't help but want to see the other characters happy as well. But obviously, only 1 can be chosen, and I wonder who that will be? Close to the beginning of the series, I had a bad feeling it would be Chitoge (not that I dislike her, because I don't). Then, every now and then I thought Onodera just might have a chance, but then after what took place in the last episode, I now think Onodera has got a much better chance now! It appears that there will be a 2nd season possiby starting in April 2015 according to MyAnimeList, so maybe things will clear up a little bit more then. As for the drama, I was actually pretty engrossed into the story for the most part, though I did have to forward a bit through some of the more ecchi scenes. I think there were at least 3 beach/hot springs episodes unfortunately, as well as, I think, 3 pretty ecchi/lewd End Cards. Music was pretty good and did a good job of enhancing the atmosphere of the scenes. I did notice that ClariS sung some of the OP/ED songs, or possibly all of them. I really like her voice. Overall, for a harem anime, minus the ecchi parts, I think it was pretty entertaining, and had many amusing parts, and would love to see a 2nd season of the show if I'm still around to see it, only because I'd love to see a Raku and Onodera ending. In terms of entertainment, I would have to give this an 8. Probably would be a 9 if it didn't have all the ecchi scenes.
Nisekoi: (TV 2) Excellent Finished in 22 days from 6/11/15 to 7/3/15. Wow, so it seems like not much has actually progressed with the plot, but there has been additional characters added to the mix. There were some episodes where there was more of a focus on particular characters, and those were really nice, especially the Onodera Kosaki ones. She really is the most adorable girl in the whole series. I certainly hope, maybe one day, before this series finishes, and with the way things are going, that might be season 20, that Onodera can finally confess her feelings to Raku and vice versa. Overall, still a fun and cute 2nd season. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this an 9.
Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions (TV) Good
Oku-sama wa Joshi Kōsei (TV)
One Piece 3D2Y: Overcoming Ace's Death! Luffy's Pledge to His Friends (special) Excellent Finished in 1 day on 1/10/15. Pretty engrossing battle scenes. Some amusing scenes and it was great to see 2 of my favorite characters for the majority of the movie, in Luffy and Boa. In terms of entertainment, I'd give it a 8.75.
Oreimo 2 (TV) Very good Finished on 6/29/13. Watched some of the simulacasts on a week-by-week basis. I have to admit, though, this 2nd season was pretty good! I enjoyed it more than the 1st season. Each episode was well done and I found myself quite interested in the happenings of the main characters’ lives. The characters, themselves, were all pretty much their same goofy selves for the most part, but Kirino, I must say, seemed to change a little bit in this 2nd season, as she actually became less tsun towards Kyousuke, and that was actually quite the welcome change! However, Kyousuke also started to change in the later part of the 2nd season, and started trying too hard to be close to Kirino, so much so that it started to make me a little sick. My favorite scene, I must say, was at the end of ep 6 with Kuroneko finally asking Kyousuke out! What made it even more awesome was the beautiful music playing in the background! Never was there a more cute scene in the history of anime of someone asking another person out! I’ve literally been waiting for this since the start of the 2nd season! I just can’t believe how happy I was! Another unbelievable scene was (yandere) Ayase’s confession and kiss to Kyousuke in ep 12! That was a shocker that my jaw almost dropped - twice! Once for the confession and again on the surprise kiss! When I think about it, there was quite a bit of drama in this 2nd season, and many moments that I thought were quite sad, touching and memorable. Another shocker was Kuroneko’s break-up with Kyousuke. As far as I understand, it was because she couldn’t stand Kirino being hurt by her going out with Kyousuke. Finding out, too, that neither Kyousuke or Kirino, could stand the other having a significant other, since they both wanted to be the most important person in each other’s lives, was quite unbelievable and problematic in every possible way. The last ep of the season, too, was another shocker. A couple of times, Manami, was made to look like the bad guy. But the way I see it, I think she said the (seemingly cruel-sounding) things she did to a young Kirino because she felt there was some kind of unhealthy obsession towards her brother, and Manami wanted her to stop clinging onto her own brother whom a young Kirino thought was really cool. I thought it was quite the informative episode as it showed quite the backstory of how Kirino became an eroge lover, how she and Manami became at odds with one another and why Kirino started to ignore Kyousuke. It actually set itself up rather nice for the 3 upcoming OVAs (on August 17) to hopefully conclude this complex relationship between Kyousuke and Kirino. Now as for the music in the series, I thought it was pretty good, and did a great job of setting the proper tone and atmosphere for each scene. The OP theme, like in the 1st season, is one of my favorites of all-time. As for ecchi scenes, I don’t recall there being anything too outrageous. But obviously, being the kind of series this is, there are suggestive themes as well as at least 1 outburst from Kuroneko that I can remember, where she said she wouldn’t mind if Kyousuke had sex with his sister! O_O; The comedy in this season, I think, was actually pretty good. Certainly one of the best I’ve ever seen from a series, especially watching Kirino flip out over eroge – those were almost always golden moments. Overall, this was a really good season with many laughs and enjoyable moments. I would highly recommend it to all that enjoyed the 1st season. Final Note: Why is a powerful Core i5 processor recommended to run that Little Sister Maker game (the 1st eroge Kirino gets)! I can only imagine how intense some of the game-play scenes must be! O_O; Finished OVA Eps on 8/18/13. Ugh, still can't believe it, yet I guess I'm not too surprised either given the title of this anime. I will say that, overall, I did enjoy the series - it had its share of nice and touching moments as well as really memorable characters. Also loved the OP themes for both seasons. But the ending... Now since I was on the SS Kuroneko, it was quite sad to see her turned down in ep 14... I just kept hoping that it was some kind of dream or something and that he'd come back to Yamineko! And the whole confession (and marriage proposal) scene with Kyousuke and Kirino was just... "AHHHHHHHH!" I was cringing the whole time, lol, as my worst fears came to fruition. But it was kinda funny, too, considering all those bystanders that were watching the whole thing. But one thing that bothered me was, where in the world were the parents? They never showed up once (no Ayase either aside from a flashback scene). It was good to see Manami put up a fight, though, and actually use some common sense reasoning with them. Anyway, it seems that all the ships were pretty much sunk by the end of this series, lol. However, it seems they left it to our imagination there at the end, and that's what I'm going to use! Also, from what I heard and read, there was an interview with the author in which he said that he had intended for Kyou and Kirino to be lovers, and for the kiss at the end of ep 16 to be on the mouth (instead of on the cheek), but I guess the Publishers were putting their foot down on this and would not do it, since it seems they did not want to support a Bro x Sis lover ending. A lot of people are outraged by this, but I'm actually cool with it!
Otoboku - Maidens Are Falling for Me! (TV)
Ouran High School Host Club (TV)
Pandora Hearts (TV) Excellent Finished in 9 days from 2/13/15 to 2/21/15. Really good series. It had some pretty funny and amusing moments. The drama was really good and had me engrossed for the majority of the series. It's just too bad the ending was rushed since, from what I understand, it wasn't popular enough to warrant another season, but the manga progresses the story much, much further. I thought it still ended on a good note, though. Also, I really did like all of the main good guy characters in this. Even the "clown", as Alice calls him, was quite amusing at times. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this an 8.75.
Parasyte -the maxim- (TV) Masterpiece Finished in 3 days from 6/12/15 to 6/14/15. Wow, this series, overall, was very engrossing, probably as much or at least close to as how Monster was. But I think I still prefer Monster, though. There was quite a bit of blood and gore in this one. The fight scenes weren't anything special, but the drama of the plot well more than made up for that. Ep 10 - Wow, Crazy engrossing scene when Shimada goes on a killing rampage thru school, and Isumi rescues Murano. So glad he came for her. I was actually quite scared that she may have died. Quite, quite scared, actually. Ep 12 - That was sad and heartbreaking to see Kana's death... I felt so bad for her... Ep 18 - Tamura's death scene was so emotional... I teared up pretty good especially with that music playing in the background that fit the scene so perfectly. It was so beautiful and sad. One of the most powerful death scene's I think I've ever seen, especially since it seems to have brought back Shinichi's human side of being able to shed tears again. Was that a short implicit masturbation scene (nothing was really shown of course)? Ep 21 - Ugh, just why did they have to get to "know" one another? I was so hoping it wouldn't go there, and it did... wow, that depresses me so much. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 9.5.
PES: Peace Eco Smile (ONA) Not really good Finished in 1 day on 9/24/13. Wow, I hardly know what to say about this one! If anything, this show was worth watching just to get a good laugh as it felt like the main characters were on acid or something, considering all the vibrant colors and the super bizarre-ish things the main character's Toyota car was able to do, especially in the beginning eps. It had a pretty weak plot, but straightforward as it was really about highlighting the features and coolness of Toyota cars, though the mix-in with Pes's desire to get the girl was a nice complement to it. As far as ecchi scenes go, there was 1 scene in ep 3 with the main character girl's skirt moving around and the camera focuses in on it. O_O
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ (TV)
(The) Place Promised in Our Early Days (movie) Excellent Finished on 12/29/12. A cute little movie about a promise made between 3 teens in their middle school days. Didn't quite understand everything that was going on between the North and the South and whatnot, but for whatever reason, I was engaged in the movie as the atmosphere had a good serious tone to it. I liked all 3 of the main characters. The music wasn't exceptional, but I thought it did a good enough job in setting the mood for each scene. The ending was a touching and beautiful one. Overall, I would highly recommend this movie to just about anyone, especially those that are into romance.

Polyphonica Crimson S (TV) Very good Finished on 11/30/12. Pretty good prequel series. The storyline is quite interesting which keeps the viewer desiring to see more. Not a whole lot of fanservice either which is a huge plus. The ending was good enough for me, and left me satisfied enough with how it leads up the sequel series.
Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (movie) Very good Finished in 1 day on 7/15/14. I thought this one might be pretty decent, and yes, thankfully, it was. I rather enjoyed watching a sea creature (named Ponyo) wanting to become human. The 2 main characters, Sosuke and Ponyo, were actually pretty likeable. Ponyo was actually pretty cute when she was just s small fish. Her sisters (at least I think those were her sisters), all those other little fish, were quite cute, too! Sosuke's mom was pretty amusing to watch as well. Her driving is something else! I loved that scene at the 28 minute mark, where Sosuke's dad was passing by on a boat, and he was communicating with Sosuke and his mom by flashing some lights, and Sosuke's mom kept responding with "BA" and "KA", and there was one point where she was like "BA"..."KA"..."~Aaaaaaaa"! Just hysterical stuff! As for the music, it seemed ok. As for profanity and ecchi scenes, I don't recall any. The drama itself was pretty good since I found it interesting watching a fish with human tendencies interacting with the human male protagonist. It just had me wondering how things would end up working out between them, and I have to admit, it was nice yet kinda creepy how things worked out in the end. I mean, it's nice that they are really good friends that "love" each other (like brother and sister I assume), but it's difficult to get it out of my head that Ponyo is or at least was a fish, and now is probably going to spend the rest of her days with Sosuke, and possibly get married to him in the future?? Who knows. Overall, a good movie that's inspired by The Little Mermaid, and that can appeal to all ages, especially children. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 7.5.
Popotan (TV) Decent Watched all eps in one day on 9-9-07. This series had me feeling like Stelvia, in that the series didn't actually get really interesting till about midway through the series. To be exact, I think my interest started peaking at about episode 8 when they started revisiting characters that they've met before in the past. The characters are alright, though I especially dislike Keith. Mai, in my opinion is the most realist character of the bunch, and she seems to have a pretty cool personality. Overall, the series was pretty bland, I'd only watch this if there's absolutely nothing else to watch.
Porco Rosso (movie) Decent Finished in 1 day on 6/20/14. Not sure I really understood this film, I have to say that Porco, as a main character was a bit of a turn-off for a main character, and so it was kind of so-so for a watch for me for the most part of this film, and it wasn't until closer towards the end, when Fio shows up, that it started to get pretty interesting since she's a very likeable character. The music was ok and fit well with the scenes. As for ecchi scenes, there were nothing really too bad; no profanity either. There were a few amusing scenes, especially @ 1hr 14min mark during some picture taking, when some bad-guy kicks all the other bad-guys away so that he'll be the only one in the picture with Fio! As for the ending, I thought it ended on a mysterious, yet happy note. I think there were enough clues, though, to indicate that Porco changed back to human and got together with Gina: When Fio, kisses him towards the end, and then Curtis sees him and is shocked when he sees his face, asking him to let him see his face; Fio, at the end, says she never sees Porco again, more than likely meaning because he was now a human; His red plane also appears to be parked near Gina's garden; Fio also says, as to whether Gina won her bet or not, is a secret, would seem to indicate that she did, otherwise, what would have been the point of mentioning it? Overall, a pretty decent film that I think almost anyone could enjoy. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give it a 6.25.
Princess Mononoke (movie) Masterpiece
Princess Resurrection (TV)
Project A-ko (movie)
Psycho-Pass (TV) Good Finished in about 5 days from 2/3/15 to 2/7/15. Bloodfest; Drama was pretty intense throughout many parts of the series. Interesting and strange characters; Really liked the main female protagonist, Akane, and I was glad to see that her teammates come to respect her by the end, and that she becomes the Senior Inspector of Division 1 at the end of the season. There's one lesbian scene, I think, in one of the eps in the middle or near the end of the season, where 2 of the main female characters, are obviously naked, and are in bed, after probably having just had sex with one another, and are having a conversation with each other. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 7. If it wasn't for all the gore and blood and that lesbian scene, I think I might have given this an 8.25.
Psycho-Pass 2 (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days from 2/8/15 to 2/9/15). Bloodfest again, particularly in the beginning eps, if I remember correctly. Drama was pretty interesting and intense throughout many parts of this series. I thought some of the stuff Kamui did was clever like what he did with that Chicken videogame. Although, it was a horrible thing that he did since all those innocent people were slaughtered. I really liked Akane's character and personality so much more in this season as it seems like she really shines as a bright and intelligent, and likeable individual. Did not like what happened to her grandma, thought that was brutal and I felt really bad for Akane. There's another lesbian scene with the same 2 characters from season 1. Nothing is fully seen, as private parts are partially covered, but it's pretty much implied that they had just finished having sex. Overall, minus that scene and the gory scenes, this was an interesting drama that shows that a system that judges people just does not work. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 7.5. If it wasn't for all the gore and blood and that lesbian scene, I think I might have given this an 8.25.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (TV) Excellent Finished in 3 days (9/16/13 to 9/18/13). Seriously. Just fantastic! I've heard all the great things about this show, so naturally, I did have high expectations for it, and needless to say, it delivered, and then some! I am also pleased to say that I didn't really notice any ecchi fan service. However, the OP song does seem to have Madoka kind of nude and hugging another nude girl (not sexually), and at the last ep, there is another nude scene with Homura and Madoka both nude; both cases the characters aren't fully detailed in the situations and they don't appear to be sexual in nature either. As for cussing, I don't recall there being any (I could be wrong though) except for Ep 8 which has some not-so good words like sh*t, slut & hoe which are used by some not-so nice guys (bit of a mature scene that takes place here - this scene is not for kids!). My major gripe was the child-like faces (especially Madoka's). It was difficult to take situations, including the characters seriously. The battle scenes, too, while unique, looked like something one might see in a children's picture book! So all of that, I had working against me to the fact that I couldn't even shed a tear for Mami when she met her demise in ep 3. I guess I hadn't grown emotionally attached to her enough, but I also think that the scenes after her death, took place kind of quickly and hardly gave room for a breather all the way to the end of the ep. Sunday Without God did something similar in their ep 3, but they did things so much better and it was so much more emotionally charged! But as the series went on, I feel I was able to get more absorbed and immersed into the dark and intriguing storyline. The main characters themselves, I thought, were all distinct and pretty likeable for the most part. Although, I wasn't that big of a fan of Mami, nor of Miki - just didn't like how they treated Homura at the beginning. I do like how they made Homura look like a bad guy at the beginning, but I just had a feeling that she had a valid excuse for the way she was treating Madoka. By the end of the series, actually, Homura was easily my most favorite character. Just everything she had done, she had done for Madoka, she was truly her best friend! Now do I even need to talk about the actual plot? It's about Magical Girls fighting evil witches! Sounds kind of boring to me, as it would almost anyone. However, it's just the way how everything masterfully unfolds, the dark atmosphere that sucks the viewer in, and it just seems like there's not a wasted minute in the whole series. It's almost like everything that happens, is relevant to the storyline and it seems like the episodes just go by quicker and quicker the deeper one goes in the series. It's like the tension quickly raises to a high level from ep 3, and then kind of just stays there throughout the whole series. And it all culminates at the end with one of the best, most beautifulest endings in an anime of all time (and it doesn't even feature a romantic couple, which is shocking!). I absolutely loved how Homura was now using Madoka's bow as her own, and it seemed like Madoka was now with Homura as she battles the endless "demons" and is assisting her in battle, perhaps? I do wonder what those black wings were all about though at the very end, especially since they look like ones that a witch would have in the old world (that didn't have Madoka's new laws written in due to her wish of erasing all witches before they are born). As for the music, straight from ep 1, I knew right away that it was pretty good stuff! Definitely very high quality and I thought for the most part, each musical piece was quite appropriate for every scene and situation. All-in-all, this is a fantastic piece of work that will pull one in and immerse one into the intricate (dark) story, stirring music & the beautiful and emotional moments that can surely bring a tear, and in some cases, many tears to one's eyes. I think had the character designs been that of perhaps older teens, then I think I would've been able to take things more seriously, though, straight from ep 1, and thus been even more engaged and immersed into the story that I probably would've given this anime a rating of a Masterpiece, instead of an Excellent rating. Objectively speaking, I think it deserves a Masterpiece rating!
Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion Very good Finished in 1 day on 12/6/13. Watched in a movie theater, and wow... I kinda wish I hadn't seen it, lol. I mean, the movie itself was really interesting and engrossing (it's got some crazy plot twists O_O!). I must say, though, the 1st hour felt kinda like some dream scenario since I literally had no idea what was going on, lol. Although, I think no one in the theater did, lol. The animation (including the battle scenes) were superb, but I thought it was even better, or at least, more glitzy and glamorous than what was seen in the series, especially during one of the transformation scenes, where 4 or 5 of the magical girls transformed into their magical girl outfits, and they literally spent like 5 minutes or so, just to transform!! Lol. It's downfall, imo, was the ending! I honestly have mixed emotions about the ending, but unfortunately, it's mostly negative. Kinda wish I hadn't seen it, since I feel like the series is ruined now... and they REALLY REALLY need to make another sequel movie or another season to fix the mess of what happened at the end here. Unfortunately, though, Iwakami, the producer of the movie has already said that "No, we don't have any plans. The world of Madoka is great, and I love all the characters, so personally, if we have a great plot scenario, I personally would love to make something else Madoka. But at this point, as of right now, we don't have any official plans." Anyway, I, for one, am not a big fan of evil triumphing over good, which is basically what happened in my eyes. I mean, they had a chance to end it with a happy ending when Homura was on her death bed, and Madoka was ready to take her away to "heaven" or something. But no, they had to let Homura's yandere-ish love fully blossom and allow her so-called love for Madoka, to turn her into an evil demon, and now she's keeping Madoka against her will by having wiped her memory, just so that she can be with her??? I'm not happy about that since Homura was my favorite character, and now that she's a bad guy, I don't even know what to think about her or the series anymore, except that it definitely needs a sequel movie or another season to fix this mess of an ending. Also, it seems Kyouko and Miki are now lovers, too??? Crazy stuff...

Reborn! (TV) Excellent Finished in 12/13 days (12/13or14/12 to 12/25/12). Wow. This anime sure had me fooled at the beginning. For the 1st 19 episodes, it starts off just introducing characters and not a whole lot of plot advancement. The episodes seemed pretty average to bland in my opinion. It did, however, have some good "lol" moments, especially watching Tsuna's clothes rip off whenever he got shot with a deathperation bullet. It reminded me of the incredible hulk which made it even funnier and amusing for me. As a result, I almost dropped the series after 10 episodes or so. But having read many of the video comments on CR, it seemed like everyone was saying that it gets better, and that episode 20 was when things finally get interesting. They weren’t kidding. From there on out, it seemed like the series and each arc kept getting better and better. The battles became more epic-like and intense, and more interesting characters became involved in the overall plot. The music too was very good, and the intro and ending themes were mostly well done I thought. There is a lot to the plot-line of this series, and it is no wonder that the manga contains more than what the anime has to offer. All-in-all, this is a must-watch for those that are into action-animes like DBZ/Rurouni Kenshin, etc..

Rozen Maiden (TV)
Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre (special) Good Finished in 1 day on 12/3/12. Pretty good prequel to the main series. Basically just explains how the bad blood between Shinku and Suigintou began. Nothing to extraordinary to see here besides that.
Rozen Maiden: Träumend (TV)
Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen (TV) Very good Finished on 9/27/13. Watched most of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. Started off really interesting for me, probably because I had missed Shinku and the other dolls. There were at least a couple eps (6&7 in particular) that I thought were pretty slow, and seemed like almost nothing happened. For the most part of the series, though, I did enjoy the suspense and the drama. Certainly a lot more of a darker tone than the other Rozen Maiden series. And eerily enough, there wasn't even that many battle scenes with the dolls. It did, however, have its small share of funny and cute moments, but I don't think it was anywhere near on the level of the other RM series. The characters were all distinct, but I have to mention that Kanaria was actually pretty useful in this series, and kinda amusing at times as well. Shinku is just Shinku, just always awesomely lady-like, and her Shinku slap is always great. Suiseiseki had some funny lines, especially towards older Jun. The best one was in ep 12, "We owe you a lot, you thug." Too bad, though, there wasn't much of Hinaichigo, so the series was much deprived of her moeness for the most part. Also, I was a little disappointed as well that there wasn't really any romantic progress between Jun and Saito, but that's ok since it seems like there's supposed to be another season, especially with the way that it ended with seemingly Kirakishou up to her old tricks again, and young Jun being hospitalized for some unknown reason which forces the dolls to get into contact with older Jun and ask for his help. Speaking of the ending, on how older Jun parted ways with younger Jun and the dolls (near the end of ep 12), it was truly a touching scene that I did, in fact, shed a tear or 2. My favorite moment, though, was in ep 13 when older Jun opens that book that I believe he gave to Shinku, and he finds that Shinku had written on the back cover, "Don't forget me." ^.^ Just epicly touching. As for the music, overall, it was pretty decent, and I think it worked well in establishing a pretty dark tone for the series. As for ecchi scenes, I don't really recall there being any, except one scene in ep 10 where Kira licks older Jun's finger. That was pretty poor taste in my opinion. Overall, a pretty good series that I would recommend to any Rozen Maiden fan, or any that are into suspenseful stories with a bit of a dark atmosphere about it.

(The) Secret World of Arrietty (movie) Excellent Finished in 1 day on 7/9/14. Wow! I really loved this movie. A nice cast of characters! I did really like the main male protagonist, Sho. His determination to help and protect Arriety and her family was great to see. Though, there was a scene where he seemed quite insensitive towards Arriety, and I was a bit upset at him for that. Thankfully, he did apologize for that treatment. I did also have a great liking towards the main female protagonist, Arriety, as well. She was very cute and pretty, caring, and just seemed very likeable for me. One of my favorite characters in a Studio Ghibli film of all-time. The plot was very interesting for me. I love stuff like this, where we have tiny people, who are the main characters, interacting with "giants". It was great to see how Arriety and her family viewed the "giants" and tried to live off of them as "borrowers". Though, that term, "borrowers", should probably be changed to "thieves", since they are literally taking things that don't belong to them without asking, lol. I just wish there was a sequel to this, since I would love to see the main characters interact some more in some other adventure. As for the music, it was pretty good and did well to complement the mood of each scene. From what I call, there was no profanity or ecchi scenes. There was at least 1 hysterical scene at about the 37 minute mark, where a crow smashes head first into Sho's window and gets stuck, and it goes ballistic, and Haru then comes into Sho's bedroom and has to beat it over the head with a shoe/slipper or something. There was 1 pretty awesome scene at about the 55 minute mark, where Sho busts right into Arriety's home, opening up their ceiling, removing their kitchen wall and accessories and replacing it with the glamorous kitchen wall/set from the doll house. That was pretty awesome, but it could have been more awesome if Sho didn't kinda wreck their home in the process and perhaps replaced other rooms, or added other nice rooms to their home. As for the ending, I did like it. It was beautiful, heart-warming, and sad all rolled-up into one. I wish Arriety and her family could have stayed with Sho, but I can understand why they would have to move, particularly with Haru out to get them. Still, it would have been nice, and it would have been nice if Sho and Arriety could have seen each other again, but from what Sho said at the end, he said he never saw her again, which is kinda sad, but it was sweet to hear him say that he'll always remember her since she is a part of his heart (if I recall correctly). All-in-all, a really interesting and adventurous movie that I think almost anyone of all ages could enjoy. I would easily recommend it to anyone! One of my favorite Studio Ghibli films of all-time! In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give it a 8.7.
Serial Experiments Lain (TV)
(The) Severing Crime Edge (TV) Decent Finished on 7/4/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. Wow… not even sure what to say about this series! The main male character, Kiri, has quite the strange fetish – his being a hair one. And it seems almost all the characters have a strange fetish or strange “instead”. More examples are injections, domination with a whip, being choked with a rope, etc. There are also quite a few lewd scenes thrown in as well. In episode 9, there’s a scene where Kiri not only licks Iwai-chan’s hair, but licks her chest and then nibbles on her ear! Believe me, that was a pretty raunchy scene! I honestly thought there was a good chance that they would “go the distance”. But I’m glad they didn’t and Kiri just ends up kissing her on the forehead at the end. Also, there are also scenes where there’s a major loss of saliva due to er… excessive tongue usage! O_O In addition, there’s even a part in one of the last episodes where Kiri gropes Iwai-chan’s bosom and rubs his face over her chest! She’s (I think) 13 years old! Yeah, this is one lewd anime! The actual drama and plot development wasn’t too bad. Each episode remained decently interesting, with episode 6 probably being my favorite one! The build-up to it was well done, and the episode itself was a pretty heart-warming and beautiful one that featured Kiri and Iwai-chan dancing under the starry night sky with beautiful music in the background! I won’t forget that one for a while, if ever! There are some pretty good action scenes as well, and some that I thought were pretty amusing to see. I mean, how could I not be amused at watching a battle between scissors-wielder and a syringe-user, and watching them battle each other like they were using actual katanas. Or how about scissors vs. a sledgehammer?!? The best action scene, I thought, was the one in ep 10 with the little ninja girl, Emily, going at it with Kiri. All I can say is that ninja girl was awesome to watch! Another scene in that ep, although not an action scene, was worth mentioning, where Kiri opens wide his mouth and “noms” on the top of Iwai-chan’s head! That was priceless! Never seen anything like that from what I can remember! As for the music, it wasn’t too bad. I think it did well enough for itself to set the proper atmosphere for each scene. Although, I will say that there were 2 tracks that stood out to me, the one that plays at the end of ep 1, ep 6, etc. and the one during the fight scene in ep 10. Both, I think, were worth mentioning since they were exceptional musical pieces. All-in-all, there were parts that I thought were really sweet between Iwai-chan and Kiri, and parts that were down-right creepy and distasteful with the fetishes. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, quite honestly. Just too many distasteful scenes that I thought crossed the line. Whether there’s a 2nd season remains to be seen (even though there was a PV possibly for one at the end of the last ep), but I kinda doubt it at this point.

Silver Spoon (TV) Decent Finished on 9/27/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. I had expectations that this would be pretty good considering that it was being done by the same person who created the FMA manga. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, at first. In fact, the series started off pretty boring for me, but I started to warm up to it, I think, at ep 6 when Hachiken starts working at the Mikage's family farm. From there, I believe it spurred my interest in possibly seeing a romantic relationship start to bloom between them. I think it's pretty obvious that Hachiken likes Mikage. Although, she doesn't appear to show any reciprocating signs till the last couple of eps or so. Speaking of the characters, they are all pretty diverse with their own goals and/or dreams, and so that was nice to see as it gives the show more of a realistic feeling to it that everyone is working hard towards something, and not just the main character Hachiken. As for the actual plot, I thought it was pretty interesting at times learning about the agricultural life and seeing how things are at a farm. It is, after all, supposed to be pretty accurate. Hachiken was presented with problems throughout the episodes, but it seems like he was almost always able to learn and to grow from them. He easily had the best character development out of everyone from the show. As for the music, it was pretty decent and seemed to fit well with the kind of show this was. As far as ecchi scenes go, I don't really remember there being any except maybe some farm service! All-in-all, by the end of the season, I found this show to be a pretty decent slice-of-life anime that's mixed with life lessons, amusing and touching moments and a pretty good cast of likeable characters.

Steins;Gate (TV) Excellent Finished in about 6 days (10/27/13 to 11/3/13). Can't believe I finally got to this one after putting it off quite some time! But I can see why many people love this series! At first, I kinda had the impression based off the 1st ep, that this was going to be a pretty "serious" anime. The animation style, to me, just had that "look," especially with some of the background images that seem to be on the dark and gloomy side. The character designs, too, seem to fit the bill of a show that could potentially be a suspenseful, thriller type show like Monster. And most importantly, the events that transpired right away in the first ep, the main thing being the scene of Okabe observing what he thought was the dead body of Kurisu. I'd compare this to how Kotoura-san was in the 1st ep before things changed in quite the drastic way within the same ep. But having now seen the whole TV series, I would have to say that the show seems to have a cast of characters that seem to just be hanging out and not taking things too seriously at the beginning. As a result, there were a lot of goofy and amusing scenes during the 1st 11 eps, but they still managed to keep things pretty interesting with all the time they spent playing around sending messages back in time. But once it got to the end scene of ep 12 (with Moeka shooting and killing Mayuri, and even Kurisu getting shot ~ which forces Okabe to go back in time), that is when things got really interesting for me, and where the series went up an extra notch! From then on, it was consistently at a very high level of interest for me since I kept wondering how Okabe was going to save Mayuri, as it seems that there was no way to do it. Similar to how Madoka Magica and Amnesia was. As for the characters, at first, I wasn't too thrilled about Okabe's zany personality, and I felt it distracted with how serious the show ought to be near the beginning of the series. However, with how all the other characters are, I think his wacky personality is a fine fit. It would be something else, though, if Tenma, the male lead from Monster, had the personality of Okabe, as he'd get killed right away for sure! Daru's crude jokes, though, did bother me near the beginning of the series since they seemed rather frequent. I did really like Kurisu, Mayuri and Suzuha! They were really great characters! As for the music, it was pretty good and did a well enough job in setting the appropriate atmosphere of each scene. As for ecchi scenes, I don't really recall any, but I believe there were some "WTFs" in the Funi subtitles and a "sunofab*tch." Also, because of ep 25 (which actually had some pretty hilarious scenes), I couldn't help but notice this again, but why is that Americans in almost any anime always have bad English? Can they not find a single seiyuu that speaks the language well?! Overall, I really did love this show! It had memorable characters that I grew to love and care about, a good number of amusing scenes (Moeka with her constant texts to Okabe, sometimes with her just standing next to him, were a riot at times) and an intriguing storyline that gets more interesting and gripping during the 2nd half of the series! And the ending was certainly well thought out, and in some ways, kinda clever and brilliant! I honestly can't say that I have too many gripes about it, except that I would really like to see the sequel movie now! On a slightly different note (as of 11/5/13), I thought it would take a couple years more since JAST USA made their July announcement of releasing the VN of Steins;Gate in English for the PC. But it seems it already has a release date of some time in the winter of 2013/2014, and pre-orders are already being taken on JAST USA's website (which does contain some eroge/18+ images)! This is one VN I would love to play (it's not an eroge, thankfully), especially with all the varying routes and endings there are. It's supposed to take around 30-50 hours to play thru, so obviously, there's quite a bit of the story that was left out of the anime, and possible endings and pairings that would be interesting to see. Okabe and Moeka, perhaps? Personally, I would love to see a Mayuri and Okabe ending since I think they would make the cutest pair! The next route I would love to play thru would be Suzuha's since I really did like her character a lot, and with the significant role that she plays in the series, it would be very interesting to see how things would turn out with that kind of a pairing. This series apparently is so popular it also has 4 on-going manga series! 3 of which tell the events according to their point of view: Suzuha's, Yūgo's, and Christina's! I'd actually love to read Kurisu's! And Suzuha's (for obvious reasons) would probably be quite interesting as well! Maybe one day, the publishers for those manga series will partner up with CR. I can only hope so!

Sunday Without God (TV) Very good Finished on 10/2/13. Watched most of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. I really wasn't sure what to expect from this show at first, but I'm glad that it delivered for me. The animation was very beautiful and gorgeous, definitely to my liking. The characters were all very interesting, mysterious and likeable for the most part. Of course, I liked Ai-chan the most. She was just so moe beyond words that even characters in the show acknowledged her cuteness! I did like her personality, too, especially her determination to "save the world," even though she doesn't really know anything about the world outside of the town that she lived in her whole life, nor did she know exactly how to go about saving it either - much to the dismay of some other watchers of the show - but it didn't really bother me that much. Throughout the story, though, she learns more about the world and that "saving the world" didn't always mean burying the dead, such is the case when the gang was in Ortus. Near the end of the series, though, she still questions about how she will go about saving the world, but to me, that's understandable considering that she's just a naive 12 year old girl (although, during the end arc, she did turn 13), and there's still so much to uncover about this world that she knows nowhere near enough about. As for the drama of the story itself, it's certainly well thought out, with a lot of unknown characters and mysteries to uncover within the 3 or 4 arcs, and the way that the story unfolds, at times, made me want to learn more about the world and to watch the next episode right away so that I can observe more adventures with our little Ai-chan. Hampnie's death in ep 3, was quite the shocker, I, and many others, didn't see that one coming, and it was quite the emotional death scene and burial as well, especially with that emotional ED song playing in the background. I was literally in tears as it was incredibly beautiful and painful at the same time. The ending to this 1st season (or possibly series?) was also quite emotional, beautiful and sad all mixed together. I shed a good amount of tears during it, and even had to replay it multiple times because of how awesome it was! It was also a bit confusing for some people as well. I can really only see 2 plausible theories for what happened at the end there, that is, how Alis showed up alive at his own grave with Ai: 1) Ai-chan made a "wish" that brought back to life the original Alis (since the alternate Alis disappeared with that alternate world after Ai-chan was pushed thru the portal). A bit unlikely though since I think that would be out of character for her to make a wish of bringing someone back to life, especially since she's a gravekeeper who buries the deceased, and not one that brings to life those that have already passed on. 2) Since u don't actually see Ai-chan physically go thru that portal thing at the end when Alis tries to push her thru it, she probably didn't actually go thru it, and Ai was then able to physically drag Alis thru the portal with her (knowing her, she probably did!). We already know that Alis can go in and out of the portal and still be alive. Furthermore, the context of Alis and Ai's conversation, too, at the end, seemed to greatly hint that it was indeed possible for Alis to continue living in a world where his original self had already died, so this seems, to me, the most likely thing that happened. I'd imagine (even though we didn't really see it) Ai-chan probably put her foot down and told Aris that she's not leaving without him, and that if he stays, then she's staying, too! Kinda similar to how Ai-chan acted during the Goran Academy arc when Tanya had decided to stay behind by herself. I can totally see her doing this with Alis! Plus, at the end, u don't even see Alis's grave dug up, it would probably have to be dug up if the original was brought back to life. Therefore, I believe the original Alis is still dead and buried, while the "alternate" Alis still exists! At least, that's the way I'm interpreting this ending for now! There is also the main mystery to be revealed as well, which is why God abandoned the world, but the way I see it, is that since it's the main mystery of the anime, it would only make sense for it to still be a mystery so that it can set up possible future seasons, and then, have it slowly unravel throughout each journey that Ai and the gang venture out to. The popular mystery anime, Monster, ran for a good 70+ eps and did this quite well. As for the music, it was exceptional for the series, especially that ED song. One of the most beautiful sad songs of all time, for sure. It seemed like they played that ED song, too, at just the right times making each end scene all the more emotional and dramatic. As for ecchi scenes, there weren't any that I can remember, but there was at least 1 gory scene when Alis shoots all his classmates (except Dee) at the beginning scenes of ep 10. That one was shocking for sure! Overall, a really good show for those that are into mysteries and don't mind a loli for the main character lead!
Suteki desu wa, Sakura-chan! Tomoyo no Cardcaptor Sakura Katsuyaku Video Nikki! (OAV)
Sword Art Online (TV) Excellent Finished on 12/26/12 (watched 2 eps every other week since 1 new ep was simulcasted weekly). Just superb! I really loved the battles scenes. Some were pretty epic and got my blood going a bit! The music, including the intro and ending themes, were all excellent and fit the situations very well and made it so much more engrossing. Personally, I thought the 1st arc was much more interesting, especially when there was that sense that they would die in the real world if they died in the game. I thought it hurt not to have that in the 2nd arc. The main characters are very likeable. Kirito seems to be quite a confident individual, in himself and in his fighting skills, and has the skill stats to back up his confidence. Though I will admit, Kirito seemed to get a little on my nerves though during the 2nd arc. Since he was quite over-powered in the VRMMO Alfheim Online (ALO) game, there were moments where he seemed a little cocky to me, and it had me disliking him a bit as a result. I was also a bit distressed to see an episode where "tentacles" were present and active... All-in-all, each episode though was pretty interesting and had me wanting to see the next one right away, which is always a good thing. Anyone that likes good action animes with a physically and mentally strong main character should look this way, I doubt they will be disappointed.
Sword Art Online II (TV) Very good Finished in 6 days from 6/14/15 to 6/19/15. The first arc was definitely much more entertaining for me. Probably because it was much more suspenseful and mysterious, and I found it interesting and amusing sometimes to see the interactions between Shinon and Kirito. The 2nd arc, which is more like an Asuna arc, was pretty boring for me at times. I think I'm just not too big of an Asuna fan or something, so watching her be the lead character was a bit off-putting, even though I think she is a really nice person with a likeable personality. Ep 9 - That was a pretty epic scene with Kirito deflecting all those bullets and protecting Sinon! Ep 13 - Wow, that present grenade was a cute scene, and interesting way to have a 2-way tie in that BoB tournament! And wow, what a psycho rapist... I had a feeling something wasn't right with that guy... Ep 14 - Nice to see Sinon take some steps forward in moving on from being so terrified of a gun in real life. Wow, some of the video comments are just so hilarious: carne asada! Ep 20 - That was a very epic way to show up at the end there by Kirito, and going up against a huge group of people! Ep 23 & Ep 24 - I actually did tear up a little bit during some of the emotional parts of these eps. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.5. The 1st arc, though is like an 8.25, while the 2nd (Asuna) arc is like a 7.
Sword Art Online: Extra Edition (special) Good Finished in 1 day on 12/31/13. Not bad, really. Mostly just a recap of the 1st season, but it was pretty nostalgic to see the characters again, and to hear that awesome OP theme music once more (which is pretty much what made this a decently enjoyable watch, despite a lot of recapped scenes)! Most of the new stuff was at the last 20 minutes or so of the show, where they go off to try and find a whale for Yui, and end up getting involved in a mission in looking for a "pearl". As far as fan service goes, yes, all the girls are in swimsuits @_@, and Liz and Klein can be a bit ecchi with their comments, and near the beginning, too, Liz gropes Sugu's balloons in a playful, fanservicey manner. Not really much more I can say about this special except that it appears that the 2nd season was supposed to have been announced at the end of the video, but it seems CR didn't have it in their video for whatever reason.
Tactical Roar (TV)
Tales of Eternia (TV)
Tayutama - Kiss on My Deity (TV) Decent Finished in 2 days (1/3/13 to 1/4/13). A decent anime series. The plot didn't really grab my attention. The main character Yuuri was a bit dense at times that it was painful too watch. The battles scenes were some of the least impressive I've seen in a long time, as well as the attempts for comic relief. The music wasn't anything extraordinary, but did a decent enough job for each of the scenes. Thankfully, the fanservice level wasn't too bad. Overall, it's a pretty average romantic comedy. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone outside of those that are into the romance genre, but even then, for those that are, I would warn them that it's nothing that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Tenjho Tenge: The Past Chapter (special)
Tenjho Tenge: Ultimate Fight (OAV)
Tenshi na Konamaiki (TV) Good Finished: July 10, 07 - in 2 days; Lottsa fights and great storyline that develops near the end. Surprisingly had quite a bit of "lol" moments. However, very disappointed at how the end turned out. Also, the one major question if a certain someone was actually born a different gender remained a mystery. Overall though, pretty darn decent throughout the entire series.
Tenshi no Shippo Chu! (TV)
Terraformars (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day on 7/1/15. Not quite as good as I initially thought. It was quite gory and most of the characters that were introduced end up kicking the bucket. It's like, wow, nobody's safe like Attack on Titan. I did kinda like the little background stories that many of the characters had. This was nice character development for them, and helped to explain how and why some of the characters ended up on this mission to save humanity. The main characters are mostly likeable. Though, I'm quite disgusted that the main main character Akari, appears to be a bit of a pervert. It seemed that for most of the plot, after the first couple or so eps, there were a lot of fight scenes, and it seemed like the crew was always under constant attack. The fight scenes, though gory, were kinda engrossing and it was interesting to see all the different attacks that the characters and even enemies were able to do. The roaches, too, seem to have quite the intelligence, and it made me think of some of the Titans in Attack on Titans that seemed to have some intelligence about them. The ending was ok and appears to be open ended, with a possibility of another season. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 7.5.
This Boy Can Fight Aliens! (OAV) Good Finished on 12/30/12. Strange little video... The animation is different; definitely not the prettiest to look at sometimes. The 2 main character boys seem to act a little too close sometimes (handholding, etc.)... The storyline seemed a little cheesy as well, and I was left wondering as to what happened to the Earth when the aliens landed and before Kakashi was found (further elaboration would've been nice). The background music is actually pretty good though. The ending too was a heart-warming one. All-in-all, not really worth watching unless one has absolutely nothing else to do.
Time of Eve (ONA) Excellent Watched in 1 day on 1/3/15. Interesting characters, pretty intriguing plot line. Little to no profanity and ecchi scenes, except maybe for one scene in ep 3 at about the 3:45 mark where the main male character stares at certain parts of a female (robot's) body. Definitely a good watch, though, for those that are interested in robots that have been integrated in society. In terms of entertainment, I think I'll have to give it an 8.5.
Time of Eve (movie) Very good Watched in 1 day on 4/24/15. Basically the same as the ONA series, but noticed the new scenes, and they were nice to see. The new ending was also nice to see. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 7.5 (which is lower than what I gave the ONA series), as many of the scenes were the same as the ONA series, and I kinda felt I was watching the same thing.
Tokyo Underground (TV)
Towanoquon (movie series) Very good Finished in 2 days (10/25/13-10/26/13). Pretty good show. Had a nice cast of likeable characters. Really liked Quon and his personality of wanting to save as many people who are "monsters" with abilities, and atone for the sins he's committed in the past - the killing of all the people that murdered his clan. I wasn't a big fan of his "battle suit" when he transformed, though. I thought it was kinda ugly, actually! I also really liked Yuri. Although, not so much at first since she seemed like a flirt, but became very likeable as the series went on. I liked Kiri-chan as well and was actually hoping at the beginning that she and Quon would end up together, but alas, it seems that it wasn't meant to be. Near the end of the series, though, Quon tells Yuri something that he's never told her before, which makes Yuri happy and she tells him that no matter how many thousands or hundreds of years he's been around, that she... and then her face reddens, but before she can finish what she says, which probably would have been something along the lines of that she cares for him and loves him, she gets interrupted. And from that scene alone, I think it's obvious that there might be some love involved between them in the future, if additional movies were to be released. They seem like a cute couple so I wouldn't actually be against it! Hizuru (Delta) and Shun (Epsilon) were alright characters and I thought they could've been a nice, cute couple as well. I thought it was great how they both were able to turn things around and become "good guys" before they both had their dramatic deaths. As far as the story and plot goes, it was pretty standard, nothing mind-blowing, I thought, but I do have to say that, for the most part, it was very interesting, suspenseful and drama-filled. There were some parts that actually did get me to tear up a little bit, just a little bit though. It does get a little bit dark, however, and some parts a little gory. I'm glad to say there were no fillers or parts that I thought were unnecessary, except for the ecchi fanservice of Yuri near the 9min mark of ep 1 (but other than that, it was pretty clean). Don't recall any profanity either. As for the music, it was ok, I guess. Nothing special at all, but it did a decent job for itself. As for the ending, I have to say that it bothered me a bit. Some of the scenes at the end with Towa and Quon were a little... odd. It's nice to see that they are close, but it just always bothers me when a show tries to make a siblings love for one another too dramatic, as that can make me feel a little... bothered by it, as this one did, especially when they were naked (obviously nothing sexual about those scenes). I also would've liked to have seen maybe an aftermath of all the major events, and what the majority of the main characters will do now with their lives. Most importantly for me, I was disappointed that as great as a guy like Quon seems to be, I really wish he could've gotten a kiss from Yuri or Kiri or something, somewhere near the end of the last movie. Just something to let us know that he's got a lovely romantic interest who'll stay by his side. As a result of all the aforementioned, I guess I felt, overall, that the ending was a little unpolished, too open-ended and unsatisfying. I think I could've came up with something a bit better. Regardless, all-in-all, this is still a pretty good movie series with great drama and suspense, pretty decent action scenes, and a very a charismatic and noble hero who just wants to save as many cast-outs as he can!
(The) Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day on 11/22/13. Much better than I thought it would be, especially after the 1st ep which seemed to be a lot of parody of things. It honestly was a pretty amusing ep, and throughout the whole series, there were some humorous scenes that made me lol. Some pretty decent to well done action scenes as well. And the drama seemed like it kept getting better and better as the series went and once it got to ep 6, it was all good from there! The characters were all pretty likeable as well. Fatina, though, did get on my nerves a bit with how mean and immature she sometimes acts around Jil. I did really like the main protagonist Jil! He seems like a real nice guy, a bit naive, but would do anything to protect his friends and those in need. I also really liked Kaaya, she seemed like a really nice person who would be an awesome match for Jil. And her confession and kiss in ep 12 was quite heartwarming, and I was so happy about it! But her betrayal in the last ep and her joining up with Jil's brother Neeba, was a little shocking. Good setup, though, for the next season! As for the music, it was pretty decent and it worked well in setting the appropriate atmospheres. As for ecchi scenes, there was a tentacle scene that was pretty ecchi, and a few more throughout like when the main characters had a gender switch for a while and Jil, and especially Melt who wanted to do indecent things with his now female body. I don't recall any profanity. All-in-all, a pretty good show with some good battle scenes and great drama! ~ a couple of the ecchi scenes can be a bit ecchi, though!!
(The) Tower of Druaga: the Sword of Uruk (TV) Excellent Finished watching in 2 days (11/22/13 to 11/23/13). What a great show this was! I don't think I really need to mention much about this season except it was much better and consistently awesome! By awesome, I mean much more drama with minor characters from last season playing a bit of bigger roles in this season, some more twists and surprising events, betrayals, and some lol scenes. What made me really like this season, too, was that I had already grown to really care for the majority of the main characters from season 1, and seeing Jil and Fatina work together as a team early on in this season was just awesome! I almost wanted to ship those 2, but somehow I knew that Kaaya had a pretty good reason for her doing (betraying Jil) what she did. No filler eps. There was at least one ecchi fanservicey scene in ep 4 with the bath scene ~ not too crazy, though; As for profanity, I think "d*mn" was used at least once; Best scene in this season was the touching scene of Jil finally rescuing Kaaya! Such a sweet and touching scene! I loved it!! Overall, a great series, in which this second season, I thought, was superior to the first. Pretty much a must-see for fans of the 1st season.
Trouble Chocolate (TV)
(The) Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura (TV) Very good Finished on 3/28/13. Really not too bad of a series. I watched it since I heard so much about it, but I feel in the end, it didn't live up to the potential that I feel it had. I can't remember any romantic comedy that had the main protagonist with the ability to read another person's mind. I feel they could've explored more into this. The music to the series I thought was great, and did well in presenting each scene accordingly. For the most part, I liked all the characters. Manabe-kun was the only one that kinda drove me nuts with his lewd fantasies. He certainly wasn't afraid to let Kotoura-san know what he was thinking either. Other than Manabe-kun's ecchi fantasies, I think the show wasn't too bad, in terms of ecchiness. Although, there was one beach scene, I believe, but nothing too outrageous from what I remember. I will say that Tsukino-san's innocent acting, reminiscent of the likes of Adachi-san from Persona 4, was pretty silly in its own way. I think they made it too obvious also that Tsukino was up to no good, and was the one behind all the girls being assaulted (especially when comparing the hair style of the assaulter and Tsukino-san's). As far as the eps go, I thought the show had a very strong 1st ep, but from then on, became just a pretty good show, instead of a spectacular one. I will have to admit that even I had 1 or 2 laughs in each episode, which is extremely rare for me, and I know that if a show can get me to laugh, then it will undoubtedly be hysterical to almost anyone else. The ending ep of the show I think was nicely done. Simple, yet beautifully done. I couldn't really ask for more. If they made a 2nd season to this, I certainly wouldn't mind giving it a good watch.
True Love Story (OAV)
Tsuki wa Higashi ni Hi wa Nishi ni - Operation Sanctuary (TV)
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie (TV)
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie 2: December Nocturne (TV)
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie 3: Bride of Celestial Souls' Day (OAV) Decent Finished in 1 day on 7/21/13 (though I'm pretty sure I've seen some of these eps in the past). I actually haven't really seen the 1st 2 seasons in a long time. But I figured to watch this 3rd season anyway, despite having forgotten a lot of the characters and what exactly had been going on prior to this season. Not really much to see here really. The episodes were so-so, with some amusing moments, but nothing really that kept me too interested with what was going on. I think this whole season was a slow, but steady push onwards to Valkyrie and Kazuto's wedding (even though it gets delayed again at the end and we end up with 2 Valkyries, a younger and older one O_O). Ep 4 was kinda interesting, though, with Raine traveling thru time and meeting up with her younger selves. And of course, the last ep, ep 6, was pretty decent when it got to the battle at the wedding chapel. As for the characters, I believe they are still their same goofy selves as in the previous seasons. Adult Valkyrie and Kazuto are such a cute couple, still! As for the music, it seemed reminiscent of the past seasons, so I thought that was a good thing, and some of the tunes were pretty good. In particular, I really liked Valkyrie's transformation music. As for fan service or ecchi scenes, some of the transformations scenes and bath scenes depict nude female bodies, but nothing really in extremely poor taste. I did think the head maid's (Sanada's) transformation scenes (there's a lot of them in ep 3) seemed a bit fan servicey with her close-up panty shots, etc. Overall, I don't think I'd recommend this 3rd season to anyone. I think even fans of the 1st 2 seasons, might find themselves a bit disappointed as there's not really a whole lot to see here. And worst of all, the cutest couple of the show don't even get married at the end (again)! O_O
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie 4: Banquet of Time, Dreams, and Galaxies (OAV) Decent Finished in 1 day on 7/22/13. Short little 2 ep series! Picks up where season 3 left off, with 2 Valkyrie's, a younger and older one. However, there's really nothing that happens in regards to moving any step closer to the wedding of Valkyrie and Kazuto. These were just fun little eps with some nice moments in them and showed what 2 Valkyrie's would be like, as well as throwing them into 2 original plot stories. It was a bit interesting, though, seeing both of them interacting with everyone else. The 1st ep had a class reunion, so it was a chance to see many of Valkyrie's classmates, and it made for a mildy amusing adventure. The 2nd ep, though, had me wondering what Akina's wish was... did she wish to be together with Kazuto? I wonder about that... As for the music, nothing spectacular or worth mentioning here, but I thought the BG music did it's job from scene to scene. As for fan service and ecchi scenes, in ep 1 there was an unnecessary kiss between Pharm and a female classmate of hers. There was also a bath scene with nude female bodies (but nothing too outrageous). All-in-all, this 4th season is nothing really worth an hour of a person's time; only die-hard fans need really to watch this one.

WATAMOTE (TV) So-so Finished on 10/1/13. Watched some of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. I came into this series thinking for sure that this'll be awesome after having read the premise. However, I was sadly mistaken. For me, it was pretty much cringe-worthy ep, after cringe-worthy ep, after cringe-worthy ep, not a lot of plot advancement or at least character development either. The plot does kinda move forward, though, in that they introduce some new characters and Tomoko does get to the end of her 1st term in school, has a summer vacation and starts her 2nd term as a first year student. Honestly, I really felt the author just kind of wanted the viewer to feel bad for Tomoko. It was like, whatever Tomoko had planned, it was almost for certain to backfire on her no matter what, and in a most humiliating way. It seemed to me that Tomoko was over-thinking things way too much in her head (and she has one bizarre and perverted imagination as well), and for that reason, I felt I could relate to her in some ways, and I know many people have said the same thing and that she's also quite realistic. For the most part, I didn't really find that kind of stuff amusing or funny, so this show really wasn't my cup of tea, and I had to really force myself to finish this series, especially after ep 6, which was a pretty ecchi ep. Speaking of ecchi, this show has was loaded with ecchi moments and themes, and cuss words like sh*t, and especially b*tch, which was said multiple times throughout the series, and Tomoko even calls her best friend, Yuu-chan, a b*itch - kind of makes me mad actually that she thinks of her as one. Yuu-chan seemed really sweet and nice, too. Tomoko was blessed to have such a friend! Tomoko's cousin, Kii-chan, was very cute and adorable, too. She really was very blessed to also have someone like Kii-chan who still cares for her even though she catches her being deceitful twice. Her brother, Tomoki, I must say, was very tolerant of her annoying behavior towards him. He deserves a gold medal for his restraint. There were some pretty amusing scenes, though, that involved him and Tomoko, in particular in ep 5 where Tomoko goes to a Purikura and takes pics of herself, then places them all over Tomoki's room! His reaction was just priceless! Throughout the series, though, I have to admit that there were some genuinely funny moments. Unfortunately, those were far and few between for me as I felt it was loaded more with cringe-worthy or ecchi-in-poor-taste material. I know others would argue against that, for sure, since it seems so many people loved this show and thought it was just hysterical. As for the music, it was decent, but the OP song was definitely pretty good, and I have to mention that ep 10 had one of the best transitions to the OP sequence that I've ever seen in an anime! It was just brilliant! I also have to special mention ep 11! I mean, I just loved the way it ended, with the chairman girl (Imae-san), at the end of the culture festival, dressing up in that costume and pulling Tomoko towards her to give her a hug. It was just beautiful! Simply the best and most touching scene in the whole anime, and made gutting through this anime not a total waste to be able to witness that one scene! Chairman girl was the best, and I would vote for her for student council president! Her voice reminds me of Haru from Reborn, too! All-in-all, it was a pretty bland show for me, and I honestly wouldn't recommend this show to anyone due to the profanity and the ecchi content, except possibly to those who suffer from an extremely introverted-ness and that may benefit from watching someone that's similar to them, since it may help them to realize on how not to act and think.
Welcome to the NHK (TV)
Whisper of the Heart (movie) Decent Finished in 1 day on 4/30/14. Very much a slice-of-life show with young middle school romantic drama thrown in. Definitely not my taste. I never grew too attached to the 2 main characters, Shizuku and Seiki, but they seemed kinda like normal kids for the most part. I did find Seiji's teasing of Shizuku a little amusing near the beginning of the movie, and it was much needed for me since I wasn't really into the story for about the 1st hour or so. Really, there's not much of any action scenes, but some pretty sad love stories about how Seiji's grandfather can no longer find the woman that he loved, and thus, could not re-unite the Baron's statue with its own companion (lover), and even the Grandfather clock. So there's quite the theme of disappointment in love here, but with the way this movie ended (with Seiji's shocking marriage proposal to Shizuku ~ and her accepting it), it almost makes me wonder if it's a setup for more disappointment in love. Another thing that came to mind, too, was this ending actually almost serves as a great setup to a harem rom-com, where possibly in the future, when they are more grown up and more characters get involved in the story, it becomes difficult for them to keep their engagement intact due to other characters wanting to get romantically involved with them. As for the music, it was ok; seemed to fit nicely with the scenes. As for ecchi scenes or profanity, I'd say that it was pretty clean and that there was nothing outrageous or cause for concern. All-in-all, an ok show for those into slice-of-life and elements of young romantic drama thrown in. Not really for me, though. In terms of entertainment, I'd have to give it a 6.25/10.
Witch Hunter Robin (TV)
World Break: Aria of Curse for a Holy Swordsman (TV) Good Finished in 2 days from 7/23/15 to 7/24/15. Sadly, there is a bunch of ecchi scenes, from breasts bouncing, to breast grabbing, to face getting insanely stuffed with breasts (right in the 1st ep). Amazingly, the genre of ecchi was not applied on MAL, which I disagree with. Despite that, I'm just so glad it appears he chose Shizuno in the end, since at the last ep, when she came in to kiss him, he tried to return it. However, when his sister tried the same thing, in the same ep, it seemed he tried to back away from it. This series, though, was a bit amusing with how many times Haimura would say "I remember", and then he'd unleash some kind of special attack that would win him the battle he was in. He had to have done that around 7-10 times. The battle scenes themselves were pretty decent, but I did find it kinda epic when he went around taking out all the Russia big-timers relatively easy, and without killing anyone. In terms of entertainment, I think I would have to give this a 7. If there wasn't all that ecchiness, then maybe an 8.
(The) World God Only Knows (TV) Very good Finished in 1 day (1/1/13). Pretty good anime. Keima, 1 of the main characters who is one hardcore dating sim gamer, uses his knowledge from the games to expertly capture the heart of each girl. I found myself amazed and disturbed @ Keima when he had a backlog of games to playthru, how he put himself into "Conquest mode" so that he would be able to play so many games at the same time to catch up. He states he may have a chance to catch up if he plays 24 games at once - but it actually looks like he plays only 12 at once. Nevertheless, he is one hardcore gamer who's passion to playthru games reminds me of my old self - though I could never match his "tensai-ness" of multi-game playing. However, there were times where I didn't like how he was so mean to Elsie who's always so nice to him... he can be such a jerk at times - definitely not one of my more favorite male main characters. Elsie, who seems a little dense at times, doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable about the world and so does some really ridiculous things as a result. Each episode for me was quite intriguing. The music, including the opening theme, was well done. I especially liked the songs that were sung from within the anime from Kanon. I was also pleased that there was little to no fanservice in the entire 1st season. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this 1st season and would recommend to anyone who's into the romance genre.
(The) World God Only Knows Season Two (TV) Very good Finished in 2 days (1/1/13 to 1/2/13). Another really good season that gave me some good laughs. The plot was pretty much the same for this season, except we find out now that there is about 60,000 loose souls that need to be captured before his contract completes. He only captures 3 more this season, but that's ok since they spent time bringing in a demon friend of Elsie, Haqua. Seems like she likes Keima, but I doubt anything major will result from it. It also seemed like Keima had a tougher time capturing each of the girl's heart this time around. Even though he's an expert on dating sims, there were a lot of unexpected events that kept occurring that threw him off. I thought this was good as it made the story much more interesting and touching when he did win their heart in the end. I will say that I was a little disappointed at the fanservice in the first couple episodes or so (though it wasn't too bad thankfully). Aside from that, I would highly recommend this season to anyone that liked the 1st season since it's more of the same, which is a good thing. My favorite quote from the series came from Kusunoki Kasuga: "His face looks especially weak. I'll smack him around a few times to change his face's shape." ^__^ Looking forward to season 3 with great expectations.
(The) World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc (TV) Excellent Finished on 9/25/13. Watched most of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. More of the same goodness as the 1st 2 seasons, but with more a lot more at stake now! The story certainly had more of serious tone to it, a heavier feel due to the likes of Vintage. It was just awesome to have all that going on while watching Keima romance the other formerly conquered girls again. The last few eps, especially, were very dramatic, surprising and intense! Just good stuff! A lot of feels were felt for Chihiro when Keima rejected her in ep 9 when he realized there was no goddess in her, and even more feels were felt for her in the last ep! Truly a touching, and emotional end to a fantastic series! Characters were all awesome again. Although, there wasn't much of Elsie this time around, but that's ok since it meant more screen time for Haqua! Definitely loved how Haqua in ep 10 was given more of a role and importance near the end of the series! As for the music, it was well done, especially the OP and ED songs. They both were excellent and ones I would listen to on their own. Some ecchi or questionable moments or scenes throughout (but nothing that was incredibly in poor taste except maybe the scenes with Keima crossdressing). One where Haqua gets her clothes ripped off in ep 5, but nothing really was showed, and it wasn't really too sexual. Also in ep 5, with Keima having to crossdress to conquer Yui; that made me squirm a lot! O_O In ep 7, there's a scene where Ayumi sweats a lot so her clothes are see-through (not really depicted as being too sexual). All-in-all, an exceptional 3rd season, and a 4th one would be awesome to have! In the meantime, they really need to make a VN out of this series so I can get my Keima and Haqua ending already! But in reality, there's a lot of good, potential pairings, though! ^^
(The) World of Narue (TV)
Xam'd: Lost Memories (ONA) Excellent Finished in 2 days (1/16/13 to 1/17/13). Wow... this one surpassed my initial expectations! The plot, even though I didn't quite get it completely, was complex, well thought out and interesting. The music was superb for the series throughout, and the ending theme is even on my playlist now! The characters are extremely diverse and likeable. Even the main "bad guys" weren't too bad, or at least annoying. The 3 main protagonist characters, Akiyuki, Nakiami and Haru are a great main character trio. I'm really glad none of them were the type to whine, cry and complain over every little hurdle. They each have their ups and downs, but even their downs weren't too bad, and they always rose to the occasion when they had to. I was a big fan of Nakiami. She was not only a very skilled fighter, but also had such a compassionate heart and a warm smile - when she did smile! I wasn't a big fan of Furuichi though since his jealousy of Akiyuki was made manifest in his actions against Akiyuki. Furuichi getting killed really didn't surprise me all too much, but with the way he died, decapitating himself, was quite a shocker and I couldn't help but feel bad for him as a result. I was kind of hoping he would work with Akiyuki and Haru. Thankfully, there was only a couple of annoying brats in this series! One thing though that left a bad taste in my mouth was that Haru was willing to sleep with the Commander to protect Midori. As for the ending, it was a bit confusing to say least. But from what I could understand, I thought the last 2 episodes were a very sad, yet touching and beautiful way to end such a surprisingly engrossing series. I was very sad for Nakiami, yet not too surprised either. Sometime in the series, I had a bad feeling that she may be the one "sacrificed." - as she was for 1000 years now... Also, I still don't quite get at the very end scene how Akiyuki was released from being turned to stone. I know he gave his "identity" to the Hiruken Emperor and so he forgot himself. So the only thing I can think of was that Haru kept coming to the "Great Rock" and speaking to Akiyuki, and after quite some time (at least 9 years or so), I think he was able to remember himself and break free from the stone. Overall, this was probably one of the best 26 episode series I think I've ever seen. Very well thought out and emotional. I would recommend this to anyone that loves great action scenes with a deep plot about war, or anyone that liked Eureka 7 since many people seem to compare it to that (though I haven't seen it myself).
xxxHOLiC (TV)
Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories (TV) Good Finished on 9/29/13. Watched most of the simulcasts on a week-by-week basis. I was pretty optimistic about this series coming in, and I must say that I feel that it delivered, despite its short length of about 4 and half minute episodes. Most of the episodes were pretty creepy and sometimes had scenes that made me want to jump up, especially ep 1! My favorite ones were the copy machine one, the elevator one & the 1st ep. I did like the poop monster, too... well the ep for that one (ep 10) was only ok, I just like being able to find an excuse to say that name, and I did! Nothing ecchi about this one, either. Music and sound effects were utilized pretty well. The whole series is episodic and there are no happy endings! All-in-all, a pretty good show for anyone looking for a little scare, they more than likely won't be disappointed.
Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories (TV 2/2014) Decent Finished in 2 days from 4/23/15 to 4/24/15. Definitely nowhere near as good as the 1st season. Most of the episodes I think just weren't very clever or scary. Some of them just felt kinda... dumb, I guess. There was a bit of creepiness with the majority of the eps, at least. The best ep was probably ep 12. To me, that was probably the scariest. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 6.
Your Lie in April (TV) Excellent Finished in 2 days from 6/4/15 to 6/5/15. Ep 11 - Near the end of the ep: Wow... I'm stunned beyond words... Kousei said it, he basically admited his feelings for Kaori by saying that "he had her" to lean on, that she was in his heart. This was quite possibly the best indirect love confession I think I've ever witnessed especially with that emotional and powerful sounding music playing in the background. In terms of entertainment, I think I would give this a 9.25. If this had a happy ending (with Kaori surviving and Kousei and her becoming a couple), I think I would have given it a 9.75.
Yozakura Quartet (TV) Good Finished on 1/13/13. An ok anime series. The plot didn't seem all too exciting for me and the battles were less than stellar. The characters though were pretty likeable but I don't think there was as much character development as there probably could have been. The music was pretty average and I thought it was only alright for the majority of the scenes. The ecchi fanservice level was non-existent from what I remember, and I was very pleased at that. I would've liked to have seen Akina and Hime become a couple, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Overall, I think this is a pretty average anime that I would watch if I was looking for a clean (non-ecchi) action anime. I don't think I would ever really highly recommend this anime to anyone as there are much better ones out there in the action department.
