I disliked Cherami Leigh as Ayeka (I generally like her, but this was an exception) and Karen Strassman as Washu (this was just terrible casting). I hated forcing the original cast into generic, overused situations/comedy bits that make no sense given the character's established personality. Again, c tier harem anime trash with Tenchi and company. Muyo, Universe, and Tokyo are all way better than this. |

I wasn't a big fan of most of the main characters, but I really liked their mobile suits. Most of the battles are literally the same scenes, just set against a different back drop. There are however some impressive fights between the main characters/villains. Wouldn't suggest watching this unless you're very bored. |

The most mature/story driven of the movies. The movie takes place after Tenchi In Love, so it's the Tenchi Universe "universe". In the end it pretty much implies that Tenchi makes a decision on the woman he wants. In my opinion, the right one too. A really good way to end the series. |

The black sheep of the "Tenchi Family" (well...before OAV 3 and all those spin offs came out). Totally different character backgrounds, plot and even new love interest. In its own regard, it's an alright show. Action in this happens to be the most modest and truthfully boring of the three, but I can think of much worse shows. |

I have a very special place in my heart for Tenchi Muyo! Even to this day I consider it to be one of my favorite series. I found the characters to be diverse enough while also not relying on sexuality/fan-service to make the series good. As far as harems go, Tenchi is incredibly tame yet it is better than the majority that are currently out. Solid action, good humor, nice character diversity, and decent stories. However, Tenchi Muyo! ends at episode 12/13, the hell spawn that is considered the 3rd OAV and beyond do not exist in my mind. |

Takes place after the events of "Tenchi Universe". The movie really feels like an adventure, something I don't often find in series based movies. The comedy is typical Tenchi and the gang style. The movie does shed some light on Tenchi's mother, as well as his father in the younger days. All in all a good watch. |

This movie blends elements from different universes. Mihoshi's partner, Kiyone, is in this along with Tenchi being able to use the Light Hawk Sword. Needless to say it isn't canon to any of the series. Yet, it remains true to the formula. It plays out more or less like an extra long episode. Action doesn't really take place till the end, aside from some of the girls going toe to toe over Tenchi. It's just as funny and enjoyable as all of the other series. This movie even has a moment for the TenchiXRyoko people. |

Tenchi the movie 1 and 3 take place after the series and thus serve as a "wrap up" for the gang. Some what different character backgrounds than in the OAV, but still better than what "Tokyo" does. |
