There's a reason why this is rated Masterpiece, I've watched this anime so much there's a scratch on the DVD set I have. *sobs* I really love the characters and am fascinated by the aspect of immortality, and whether or not it would really be a curse (it is, in Yakumo's case ^^;). |

Okay, I understand this is a prequel to Bubblegum Crisis 2040, but if what I've seen here is how efficient the A.D. Police usually are, I don't see why the Knight Sabers even bothered to assist them. Anyone who died on their task force was immediately forgotten beyond a few obligatory statements (poor Paul, everyone abandoned him). I'm convinced Hans and Kenji were doing it on the side even if they both had girlfriends (all those partner comments, so suspicious). |

I feel I should have liked this series better, but it didn't do anything original beyond having an alien as a love interest and redefining a wolfman. It was like a mix of "Rosario+Vampire" and "Negima." Most of the comedy didn't work for me because it never went far enough, which is a shame considering what they had to work with. Supposedly, the manga is much better. |

If not for the smut, then the other reason I'm interested in yaoi is because it's interesting seeing how couples get together. So, this movie kind of bored me in regards to the fact you didn't see the couple's feeling come into play and they were already living together. Jealousy and fights abounded and I didn't care at all. Also it was too sweet for me, you never really saw them sleep together, it was too innocent. |

So. Damn. Pretty. I really liked the story and characters. The worldbuilding is amazing. What I didn't like was all the stuff with Cartaphilus/Joseph. I'm a little confused on what his aim was, how exchanging body parts with Chise helped him out, how part of him ended up staying inside Chise to combat the dragon curse, etc. I'm hoping the manga explains all of the above in more detail. Still, I loved this series. It was so adorable and heartwarming to the nth degree. <3 |

I'm glad I watched this after the main series, otherwise I would've been confused about the characters. The story was good, but a bit on the slow side. I enjoyed seeing Elias and Chise bond over books. They could read the newspaper together and I'd still watch them. So goddamn adorable. ^^; |

If there's more to this, I will avoid it like the fucking plague, it was that hard to watch. |

I know they were going for a thriller feel, but most of the deaths were actually funny and I enjoyed the horror title nods (even John Saul, gasp!). I really wish though the first half of the series had been the same as the last half because the mystery failed horribly on all counts despite the promising start it had. Just gonna put it out there, why the fuck didn't Mei mention Reiko was dead the first time she attended Class 3?! She didn't think it would matter? That's bullshit. A lot of the logic behind the plot could been better explained by isolating the entire class somehow (who'd enroll their kid in a cursed school, seriously?) instead of using failed phone calls, retarded reasoning, and trying to create two separate identities for one person when it was fairly obvious they were one and the same. Argh, very frustrating. |

As I loved the original manga, it stands to reason I would like the anime as well. It's uniquely animated, the character designs are (mostly) top notch, and they pretty much follow the source material. Some of the jokes that didn't work in the manga work wonders in the anime (anytime Tachibana has to concede to Ono is hilarious). I just don't like the fact Tachibana's hair is gray and being tempted by those damn desserts (give them to me!). In all, a very good anime I'd definitely watch again. ^_^ |

I really liked the animation and I enjoyed all the mythological names (but in a way, it was sort of spoiler-ish as well, because if you know your god and goddesses, you knew the fate of places and people). The story was pretty good and I did like most of the characters...yet the only thing that vastly impressed me was the animation (so pretty, *ji, ji*). I really wanted to see Brialeos in human form but they obviously didn't want to do that. Sigh. |

Definitely an improvement over the original, much of the action and story were spot on (really fit my mood at the time). I enjoyed the dynamic between Briareos, Deunan and Tereus when they played nice with each other (too bad they couldn't just get together and make a hell of a threesome :p). Music was also quite good and the animation was pretty (as always), my favorite bit was the twist on the "zombies." |

The breakneck pace of the story really cemented the series as mediocre. Character development is not present very much, and bringing in Kadowaki as a villain was too soon. He came off like a petulant brat in his neurosises, and it was annoying watching him rage. I will say the animation was beautiful even if the quality dipped a bit at times. Not to mention, after a while, all that talk about submitting...my mind took that to a dark place fast. ^^; |

Not bad, but it really felt like a video game. Not a surprise considering the anime was based off of them. It'd probably help if I had played one in the RPG series. My other complaints are it was very slow at times, a lot of the characters barely had personalities outside of their role (hero, kid, etc), and the story turned very pro-religion towards the end (annoyingly). I did love the mature material the plot integrated, a shame the elements surrounding it couldn't carry the emotional weight all through the series. |

Oh my god, this series was hilarious. It was so bad, it turned quite good especially towards the end. Watching such a sex obsessed girl run around trying to get laid made me laugh until I cried. I would have loved to have seen Yamada actually get laid in the end, but as it was, it remains a really good anime. ^_^ |

I always admire anime with complex story lines that intermingle in all sorts of ways and this one is a prime example (there's so much going on but it all makes sense, which you have to admit is damn impressive for the complicated story). The immortal bits intrigued me yet they did remind me of Highlander in a way (at least with some characters). I have to say I loved the entire cast of this anime, especially Vino (so violent, so thorough). This has definitely earned a place in my top ten, it was so fucking good (long live Issac and Miria ^_^). |

Two feuding clans and a pair of lovers caught between them. Oh, crap, this is Japan's version of Romeo and Juliet, isn't it? It's not quite as bad as I thought when I watched the first volume a while ago, just very violent with every ninja having a kind of superpower. I only really felt bad about Hyoma and Saemon's deaths, the rest I didn't care about. The series won me over in the end, but I'd have liked it a whole lot better if the two clan heads hadn't been determind pacifists. Their powers were wasted on them. |

I really loved watching this. Each story has a different animation style, and gives a great impression of Gotham overall as Batman goes through a typical day. Quite a surprise that Japan can do Batman right when they seem to be fucking up every other comic property. |

Basically, the version I watched was very low quality and had hard to read subtitles so I didn't have the optimal viewing experience, not that the anime was that good but still, it's the principle of the thing. The character designs and some of the music was good but that was all. |

I love the look and feel of this anime, it's so pretty. As for the story overall, I'm sort of torn. The "murder mystery" aspect doesn't really set in until the last three episodes, and even then the anime ends before Sakurako faces the main villain. So it feels unfinished overall. Some elements of the show get a little too preachy for my taste, but I like pretty much everything else. The main characters in particular were well developed, and it was fun to follow them around. So, yeah, a good show, yet not without its faults. |

I don't mean to kick a gift horse, but the animation is so half-assed, it's not even funny. The 3D CGI models and scenes are horrendous and painful to look at. In contrast, the regular hand-drawn parts look amazing. I really wish the production studio had lobbied for a bigger budget before animating. Even with that complaint, I'm glad to see the story picked up beyond The Golden Age arc. The latter arcs are excellent and while there's some cutting and condensing, it's not very noticeable except where Guts' character development is concerned. He is a complicated man and you only really see him fight and brood. In any case, so looking forward to the next season in 2017. I missed having Berserk in my life. |

It does really well at adapting the manga, but the animation can be off-putting with the blend of traditional 2D and 3DCG. I mean, Guts' sword was CG at one point, which was stupid. The rotoscoping in particular drove me nuts. I love everything else though, character designs and such were great. Although I'd have preferred Toshiyuki Morikawa return for the movies. I miss his deep rendition of Griffith, Takahiro Sakurai (good as he is) just doesn't compare. |

The battle sequence ran a bit long and that damn rotoscoping is so distracting especially during the ball dancing. Again, the story is really good (yay source material), but I do think by cutting out parts of Guts and Griffith's pasts, some of their character development is stunted. You barely get a hint just how long Griffith has been manipulating others to achieve his dream. It's frustrating because a longer running time would really help flesh out the inconsistencies of the plot. |

Whew, doggy, that was indeed something. This is definitely my favorite of the trilogy because it took its time bringing the doom and gloom. There was no sense of missing key bits here and there. As the result, The Eclipse is rendered beautifully tragic. Griffith's demonic actions and Guts' ever increasing rage is just wonderful. The post-credit scene with the dead eyes of Guts was nice as well. Yeah, the animation still had problems, but the awkward parts didn't stand out as much. Well worth watching really. |

Basically a mix of "X" and "Mirage of Blaze." The execution is slow and a bit boring, but got the job done. I have big issues with Yuki, who is sadly the main character of the series. Everyone thinks he's such a special snowflake and loves him senselessly. If Yuki knows taekwondo, why the fuck doesn't he use it? He has no excuse for acting like a damsel in distress if he has the means to protect himself. I also am very annoyed that for an anime with BL themes, everyone in a relationship with a guy doesn't actually do anything with their partner. No kisses even! I want smut, dammit. >_< I wonder if the manga is better, but I certainly wouldn't pay to read it. In all, I wish the protagonist wasn't so wishy-washy, the anime had been much shorter, and that all characters, instead of a small handful, had actually been given personalities. Quite disappointed with the end result. -_- |

There wasn't anything objectionable in this, which surprised me and I was rather amused by the mass amount of rape that Kitami dished out. The ending was predictable and it took too long for them to reveal it but the magic element really did make things more interesting even if I would have preferred it if Minase had remained on the dark side. If I ever saw this cheap, I'd probably buy it. |

I still like the dark magic element and it was interesting seeing everything the coven did, the school even backed them to an extent. The origin story really does explain why Kitami was so fucked up and how large her drive to survive was. |

The technical aspects of baseball are fascinating, and made watching through the baseball games are the more fun. Yay for baseball anime! I'm totally tracking down the sequel. ^_^ |

For the most part, I really enjoyed this series. If you cut out Pluto, and a few of the filler episodes, my rating would have definitely gone up to Masterpiece. As it is, I was enthralled by the storyline, and I loved the ending. It was beautiful, and not what I expected from the dark plot. I'm a bit dubious about watching the second season since Ciel appears to be dead, but given how much I love the series (both the anime and manga), I'll probably do it anyway. ^^; |

Wow. I went into this blind, only knowing that Victorian England was being left out of it. Color me shocked and surprised that despite the changes, the movie stands on its own really well. It was beautifully shot and the clothes were so damn pretty. The CG wasn't invasive and I was into the story and characters. The only bit I didn't like was the implication that Sebastian was a reincarnation of Shiori's father/a former angel. I prefer Sebastian to be wholly demonic. Other than that, a stellar effort that succeeded, I would love to see a sequel someday. |

I think I'd have to say I like it almost more than the first season. Who doesn't love seeing Ciel win out in all possible ways? Poor Sebastian. I'd be overjoyed if the manga had the same conclusion. ^_^ |

I really enjoyed the last two OAVs especially the one that dug into Will the Reaper's back story. Very bittersweet ending. I'd love to see more Black Butler anime anytime. ^_^ |

So fucking dark, but so damn good. I fucking loved it. Just as good as the manga, of course. Nice to see Ciel out of his element, and the policemen massacre scene was suitably eerie. It played out like a Shakespearean tragedy with only Snake escaping the carnage. Actually, I'm surprised the whole arc was adapted without any changes. Good on you, Japan, for wholeheartedly embracing the darkness. ^_^ |

The Titanic with zombies! It's as awesome as it sounds, made even better with a demon and three grim reapers on board. I read the story arc in the manga a while ago so it wasn't anything new, but goddamn it was so satisfying seeing it in theaters. Elizabeth, Sebastian, and Undertaker were amazing in their animated glory, and all the fight scenes were well done. I was reminded why I loved these characters so much, and it was one hell of a movie. I loved it, even with Rave Motion Pictures' issues showing it (I guess I'll see those missing ten minutes once it comes out on DVD). |

This anime is fun to watch, and I was amused by the character interaction between Train, Sven and Eve, but I've got nit-picks to comment on. The first 7 episodes can do no wrong in my opinion but then the growing conflict for most of the anime is resolved with little more than a snap of the fingers (it was kind of disappointing). The next arc isn't much better as they try to squeeze in everyone we've been introduced to during the anime, but the problem with that is we just switch between character and character and don't see much of the actual fighting (plus, it's predictable). I just think this could have done so much better... |

The lengths some of the athletes go to kill themselves was really fucking impressive (for example, using a bed and wall as blunt objects). The story actually took some brain cells to figure out and as I was in a good mood while watching this, I enjoyed it a lot. Black Jack's flat refusals amused me and the various ways people died were funny, the only thing that bugged me was the Carol Jo character but as she was sort of vital to the plot, I endured. |

Bleach is always really nice to watch especially in movie form. The story seemed a little circular but it paid off in the end. All the captains' fighting techniques were neat to watch, I didn't know Kisuke had such a nice power. Did they ever show it in the manga/anime? Nonetheless, a good movie and very worth seeing. |

Not the best movie I've ever seen but I was mostly entertained. |

Also making Satan sympathetic was interesting, I wonder if that'll pop up in the manga eventually... |

The story itself was excellent, tightly written with some room to play in the festival setting. I really felt for Usamoro, his ultimate fate made me tear up a little. As a self-contained movie, it's great. I would love to see more movies from this universe. |

I watched it in one sitting, and it was so fucking good. The "Sailor Moon Crystal" team should take note that this is how you adapt manga without making it boring. I loved just about every second of this series, from the friendship mending to Rin finally accepting what he is. It was beautifully animated with top-notch writing, and I will kill to see the rest of the manga series adapted in the future. Please, Japan? Make a girl happy. |

I do have to say the dub is horrible (I much prefer the subbed version, precious Kappei Yamaguchi plays Nin-Nin and pervert he may be I love his voice). More than Miko (crybaby), I much prefer Fubuki and her odd optimistic attitude and ambitions. Just once though, I would love to see a guy raped by their tentacles. *eyes shift* |

Eh, it was fair. The animation seemed quite good but the character designs were very bland (I didn't even recognize Miko's sister at first). I liked the first story instead of the second because of all the very beautiful demonic wings that appeared when that one woman re-hatched herself again and again yet the seed pregnancies freaked me out. The second story didn't really impress me and I don't have a lot to say about it. |

I thought the mermaid designs were really pretty (especially Mutio), I kind of wish they would have explored the whole mutation thing closer (Hayami was bitten, shouldn't he have changed? o.0). |

The only thing I question in this movie is how fast Wataru decided he was going to change his destiny (like he couldn't wait to see if his mom would pull through, but I guess that's impulsiveness of youth so I suppose I can forgive it) and his end wish (if he'd had just wished himself and Mitsuru had never come to Vision, everyone would have lived happily ever after). Otherwise, it played out like an enjoyable RPG game and I really liked some of the visuals but it is Gonzo so I figured those would be good anyway. ^_^ |

I was mostly amused by what I watched but there were way too many inconsistanies throughout the series (such as when Tokyo goes to hell, there's some AD Police left but in the next episode, they're mysteriously gone with no reason as to why; how in the world were Mackey and Galatea created from Sylia's brain of all things? Why didn't Leon and Daley stick to the original plan to eliminate the Dragon Line?). I was creeped out by the idea of a sexual relationship with a boomer, and didn't need it shoved in my face so many times by Mason...also, why were the Knight Sabers personalities changed from the original OAV? (Priss was a bitch but she wasn't as hardcore antisocial as she was here). I will admit I did like the Motoslave the most out of everybody, especially by the ending (how sad is that? It wasn't a main character...). |

I thought the Saiyuki fighting game in the arcade was really great. ^_^ |

I just can't get my head around the fact this was created by the mangaka of RK. It's just too cliché, corny and overdramatic (not to mention, the villains are really flamboyant, which makes taking them as a real threat hard). The characters are complete retards (except Papillon and Captain Bravo), and if common sense had been applied to a lot of the main plot, everything would have resolved a lot quicker with less interruptions. I watched this for one character and one character only, Papillon, I will forever worship the gay-looking butterfly man along with the rest of his fans. Let's hear it for barely concealed packages and butterfly wings! ^_^ |

Just admit you didn't want to solve a mystery alone. :p I was surprised Ran figured out Kid wasn't Shinichi for once, good on you, girl. So, not bad, super pretty film, but not the best one by a long shot. |

It did have beautiful animation and an amazing atmosphere, I'll give it that. So, overall not great, but not that good either. |

However, despite all the color and attempted rape, I prefer the manga more than the anime. Maybe it's because you have to use your imagination to fill in the parts where they shift positions? |

The message of this film, 'Don't be sad, be happy i.e. you just need a new perspective on life' is pretty stupid. Telling someone who's depressed in reality to cheer up doesn't work, life is much more complicated than that. I found it a bit strange that heaven/god (?) would force someone to go back to Earth when they clearly had a miserable time there. Having dealt with depression and thoughts of suicide myself, I understood why Makoto originally committed suicide. So when Makoto came back to Earth without his memories, I couldn't relate to him at all because he was an asshole about everything. His poor mother and the chick at school who liked him didn't deserve the rough treatment he gave them. I did enjoy watching Makoto bond with his guy friend, but that was about it. In all, a flawed film I'll likely never watch again (unless it's subtitled because the dub was seriously annoying). |

I just wonder what happened to the nice guy who was into the tour guide and tough chick's scaredy-cat boyfriend? Did they miss out on the massacre? |

I loved how they animated Ryuk, and just how some scenes looked (pretty as all hell), if I had to complain about anything, the movie didn't focus on L as much as the manga originally did (so Light looks smarter in comparison simply because he bested L spectacularly). |

I expected to hate this given all the story changes, but dammit it's (mostly) really good! There are some minor elements that bug me though the cat and mouse game I always find fascinating is ever present. Ryuk is the best part of the show to me, his body language and moves are so fucking amusing. What really kills me (in a good way) is the Mello puppet, I cannot stop laughing whenever it pops up in the show or my head.
-Where this series fails is in the last episode. The logic behind some of the changes to the source material didn't work, and Light's death was just stupid. Ryuk didn't even get to kill him. To me, the 10th episode *IS* the finale. Light's fully embraced Kira and is poised to remake the world. That's my perfect Death Note ending. :p |

Light was an over-emotional idiot, L was way too dependent on Watari, and the last third of the movie was retarded. Some of the music choices were also very bizarre. In short, I really wish they'd done a spin-off of DN instead of a lackluster adaptation. Show me how someone who's never heard of Kira would handle the notebook. |

This was so much fun to watch, I don't think I realized how very much I missed the Death Note universe until now. The ante in terms of story was raised to a high with characters all having their own motivations and schemes. Some elements definitely could have executed better (the whole subplot with Light's kid), but overall I loved the relationship between Mishima and Ryuzaki. Their Romeo and Juliet love was never consummated more's the pity. ^^; |

I'm damn glad L got to finish up his business (which thanks to some worrisome subtitles, I finally understood how he survived Rem's actions), this is a great movie altogether. |

Not too bad of an OAV considering the level of the kids' involvement (I usually can't stand them). |

Doesn't everyone know that a Jolly Roger refers to a pirate flag? Not a hard hint and I'm surprised Conan had trouble figuring it out. Mouri is quite a dedicated father when the situation calls for it. In all, it was a good movie, not as good as I expecting but nothing's perfect. |

I was underwhelmed with this film. I feel like the characters didn't get enough development (Sajou in particular) to make me care about the main relationship. They don't really do more than kiss, and the movie just ends abruptly. It was fucking gorgeous to look at though, I loved the soft flowing edges everything had. So, pretty, but lacking in overall substance. Oh, I did like that Sajou and Hikaru admitted they were actually gay, rather just another case of 'if it's you, it's fine.' Kudos for that. |

Man, I love the Dallahan. How many Irish spirits do you see in anime? Also, Shizuo (for his awesome punching the clothes off people ability) and Izaya are damn amusing. The main story told from multiple viewpoints was great, although the build-up of the Dollars/Yellow Scarves conflict was quite anticlimactic in the end. But the leaders are all teenagers so there can't be too much darkness in the plotline. I adore Celty and Shinra's relationship, they're so goddamn cute. <3 In all, pretty great anime. |

I loved this final cour. The ending was everything I could have hoped for and actually made me cry a bit. The way all the subplots combined into one was great. Shinra and Celty's relationship was the standout element for me, even if I did predict how things would end up. The only drawback was the excessive number of Saika sword users. Five seems a bit much. Still, I really enjoyed marathoning this show and I'll likely come back to rewatch it eventually. <3 |

The revelation that there's a third Saika was a bit cliche, but I still like various bits like seeing Shinra and Izaya's friendship back in high school, that Russian chick developing a crush on Shizuo, and so forth. It'll be interesting to see how everything resolves in the end. |

For the most part, I quite liked this series. The mystery surrounding Yuuko's death was predictable, but damn compelling, especially when combined with Teiichi and Yuuko's developing relationship. I kind of wish that the story pace had been faster as they were a few episodes that did nothing to advance the plot. Overall, it was a really sweet dyamic mystery series that managed to blend a lot of genres (including psychological material) well. Just remember: boob grabbing is the cure-all to all of life's problems. :p |

I feel like it tried to push the dark negative angle too much (runaway girl? No, that's not enough! Let's throw a pedophile stepfather in the mix, and a mother who doesn't give a shit!). It kind of rubbed me the wrong way, I guess...anyway, beyond cheering for all the violence, I ended favoring Bantou for some reason because he was crazy (in a good way, and a lot less annoying than some other characters who needed a good slap to set them straight). |

I'd already knew the story's finale ahead of time so I didn't mind the downer of an climax (the way it was going, I think that was the only way the pair could be together). Aizawa was an major asshole, just leave things well enough alone, prick. >_> |

For one thing, the killer was fucking obvious (I literally pointed at the first person they showed once Satoru had first gone back in time and said, "he's the killer, isn't he?"). Second, the whole coma thing was just lame. Whatever momentum the series had built up came to a screeching halt once that plot element was introduced. That said, I loved the rest! The time travel method was very different and the emotional stakes high throughout the anime. All the characters were fully developed and I connected and felt for each one. Damn good writing there. Even with my complaints, it's an amazing anime worth seeing at least once. ^_^ |

The CG was great, Al in particular looked very natural, and some of the casting choices were perfect (Hughes and Mustang <3). Ed's choice at the finale pissed me off. It's not like he was the one to do the human sacrifice. Fucking help your brother, not get caught up over moral ethics. Sigh, I expected so much better judging from all the positive press surrounding this film. |

Kageyama was a character I liked so I was a tad sad to see him disappear in the end (bad guy or not); the Invader themselves made me laugh every time they appeared (where do they get those sunglasses!?), though I've got lots of questions about their origins. So a good series in the end but it takes a while to get to the good stuff. |

Why doesn't their daughter look anything like them? How did the gates become so negative? Why did the Invaders come back? Who was Ghost Girl? Isn't Ruriko's maiden name Isusawa, not Isuzu?). Mostly I just wonder why Kageyama turned to the good side, he was so good evil, why bother saving the world from Invaders if he'd previously worked with them? Stay consistent already. |

Okay, I could have really done without all those "Lord, help me grant a miracle" moments but considering the main character was a priest, I suppose it was unavoidable. It was pretty predictable and confusing at times but it's not among the worst anime I've seen. I most certainly wouldn't watch this dubbed again, 'twas horribly funny when it wasn't supposed to be. |

Such a slow start! Then episode 4 came along and the show started to get really interesting as it wasn't so much a horror story as a psychological thriller with some supernatural elements. There are some good creepy moments that'll stick in my memory nonetheless. I feel like some of the ideas and subplots go nowhere, and a few more episodes would have resolved everything. The ending was a little too pat for my taste, but satisfactory. Some great dramatic narrative and creativity, well worth watching. |

It was really damn pretty. They went all out with the effects and it shows. I feel like the writers really missed the point of the original anime movie though. The existential crisis is not 'who was I before this?,' it's 'as a purely digital being, can I consider myself human?' The story was pretty much "Robocop" with a female lead. I didn't hate it by any means, enjoying the majority of the movie, but it's also not something I'd revisit anytime soon. |

What I really liked about this film was the fucking beautiful CG, some scenes struck me as so pretty I was near tears. ^^;; |

This anime seems to like letting the criminals speak their mind, and then wander off into cyberspace, leaving the main characters to ponder upon them. |

I wanted to like this (I really did) but it has an frustratingly slow story (most parts of which I guessed with ease) and horrible character designs (everyone looks old despite their young ages yet the hair looked quite good even if I felt like giving half the cast haircuts ^^;). I felt sorry for Kiyoko throughout the whole series, she always got the short end of the stick compared to her brother (still, she did have the last laugh in the final episode *evil smirk*). So, in all, a fair series but it's inherently flawed in most places. |

I never actually lost control altogether but it's rare when an anime hits home that fast. The story was excellent (if could have leaped through time as Mokoto did, I would've abused it for evil...of course ^_^). Characters were very well developed and overall, I got a nice fuzzy feeling after I was done watching this (would've loved to have seen Mokoto and Chiaki reunite at the end though). |

Regardless, I really liked the anime in all, especially because of the Toraji pirate character (long live pirates, arr!). |

It's kind of a shame because some of the super short bits were good, which proves the overall direction of the anime is to blame for it to be so boring. |

While I don't think food is nearly as important here as it is in the manga, I ended up enjoying this series a lot. The ending, in particular, was really heartwarming and made me cry. The only drawback, as far as I can see, is that Odanna comes off a little too friendly, which makes Aoi wavering between him and Ginji less fun. I have no idea if that's how it is in the light novels, but I would love to find out. Anyway, it's definitely worth seeing, and I'd gladly do it again. |

Okay, I don't mind watching it but it's akin to watching paint dry at times (not to mention some characters I want to take a chainsaw to, they're so fucking irritating). On the other hand, I enjoy watching the characters' completed routines (or maneuvers as it is), even if they defy gravity and physics at the same time. So, in all I probably wouldn't watch it again but it was worth watching if just once, all the way through. |

Come on -_-;), but I fell in the series' pace soon enough, at least until Winner was introduced (I really fucking hated his character, I've had it with dumb foreigners). When some episodes nearly bored me, I looked to Boogie for amusement, for a plushie, he's damn amusing and should have been shown more. In the end, I liked Kenta and Karin as couple (though if Karin had given in to her nature sooner, everything would have resolved sooner). One thing bothered me a bit, sometimes Karin's blood increased for no reason, what was up with that? |

I liked the fact it wasn't afraid to be negative at times, and Kino's attitude through most of the anime was refreshing. I really really want to read the novels now. ;_; |

It's not as good as the first series (then again I haven't seen it for years). Some of the stories were a bit predictable and boring. Having only read one of the light novels, I can't be sure if Riku, Ti, and Shiro are from the source material or not, but it's nice having another protagonist in the series. Kino will always be my favorite though. In all, the disjointed nature of the series kind of works against it. It ended on murderous sheep after all. |

So, I'm a fujoshi, but I know the difference between real life and pretend. I do love how manic Kae is and how slanted her POV is even if her weight loss is completely unbelievable. The hot guys tripping all over each other to date Kae was great and I look forward to see who ends up hooking her. Hopefully Mutsumi has a chance, he's my favorite. I loved the addition of Nishina to the harem; I like the possility of yuri there. The series had a fair ending though with the manga still ongoing, it couldn't have ended any other way. |

I did like all the violence but it was after such scenes that I wanted to scream at the assassin: "You just left fingerprints, skin cells and your fucking gun at the crime scene! Do you want to get fucking caught?! Argh!" The sex bits were also unimpressive and I could have done without them entirely, I feel kind of sorry for Oburi and Sawa, they just can't be happy. |

What a great fucking story. It started off slowly then once it took off, I needed all the self control I had not to rush through the series (as I wanted to savor the anime while it lasted). No complaints regarding animation, characters or seiyuu (though I'm ashamed to say it took me a while to figure out Sanji's seiyuu played Hube, what can I say other than the fact I was distracted by Morikawa Toshiyuki's greatness?). The only reason anyone would hate this is if they didn't care for hints of shounen-ai (which never go anywhere, something I'm strangely happy about; the possibilities abound ^_^). |

As a result, everything was disjointed, even the characters. Too many stereotypes and a lot of overacting dialogue. Ugh, just annoying anime in all. |

I'm so glad I watched this during a Freeview, I would have been pissed if I'd paid for it. -_- |

Animate it or just skip over it if you're uncomfortable. I laughed my ass off watching this, and it only served to remind why I like anime as a hobby. |

I do wonder how exactly Lupin and gang knew about Shinichi's identity but at least it was amusing watching him freak out. My only nitpick (maybe the second at this point?) is that it wasn't really versus anything, they cooperated pretty well together. I'd love to see a story where Conan and Lupin were after each other. ^_^ |

I thought Zenigata becoming a monk after believing Lupin had died was hilarious, those two should make out already. :p The animation was great. In all, a good movie, if a bit by the numbers plot wise. Keeping it in Japan was nice. |

Just weird. Anyway, not bad for a first effort. |

This was a wild ride. I could never quite predict where the story went or how characters would react during certain twists. It's very much influenced by the source material (the manga) so some scenes were a bit, uh, racy. Lupin nearly assaulting Fujiko and saluting Hitler as a couple of examples. I mean, I did enjoy watching it, but you do have to check your brain at the door or nothing makes any sense at all. What I did learn was that while Fujiko and Lupin love each other, Lupin also loves Zenigata to bits, even ending the movie handcuffed together. So adorable. <3 |

I felt so bad about La Pucelle's death, he was probably my favorite character out of the cast. Alice's death as well was hard to swallow. The ending was okay, but by that point, I was tired of Snow's pacifist shtick. I'm annoyed she was one of the game's survivors. Still, a surprisingly dark, yet excellent series in all. |

This is one of best hentai anime I've seen yet (it was so damn amusing, Tetsuo's "godly" technique never failed to capture women and it was rather nice seeing women who weren't forced into anything enjoy themselves -they're almost always raped otherwise-). Loved the bit between the two male train employees (a nice addition from all the straight stuff). I'd definitely buy this if I saw it for a good price. ^_^ |

Once the second episode rolled around, I became horribly lost in the storyline (if there was an organization behind the Sleazy Train, wouldn't they have let Takumi completely into it if he was bringing so many sacrificial lambs to them?). It's like every good element of the first part was sucked out in favor of random sex encounters. The flashbacks confused me at times as well, but at least Takumi was hot. :p |

I love the world-building (loose as it was), and would've liked to see some of the monster subspecies in the series. Still, it was a great off-beat ecchi harem title. ^_^ |

I didn't think I'd like this one as much as I did but that's the good thing about watching anything once. If I could interact with microorganisms, I'd have fun with the ability (Sawaki treats it like a big burden mostly). In the end, I loved the series, I would have enjoyed having a Spring Festival like that. The rest of the microbe critters shown were so cute, I will definitely track down the manga and see if Sawaki's tale is continued there (as well as get more info on why Yuuki was cross dressing). I actually feel smarter for having watched this as well. ^_^ |

Some of the educational stuff bored me stiff, and Sawaki's character oddly got pushed to the background in favor of a focus on Hasegawa's marriage troubles. Strange narrative decision. o.O The microbes were at least cute and I did learn a bit about wine making. |

Having watched it all, it's way too funny most of the time (to the point of having to watch it in spurts to save my throat) and is super silly, but I loved it. Now where can I get more Masa? :p |

So. Fucking. Adorable. Like seriously, I wanted to huggle the three main characters whenever they were on screen. Takeo and Rinko's relationship was so damn sweet, I swear I got a cavity from it. The show made me laugh and smile a lot, which said something about how much I enjoyed it. I loved that the series avoided the usual shoujo trappings, and realistically portrayed how relationships worked/progressed in the real world (i.e. not giving Suna a girlfriend because he didn't want one). Really refreshing that. My one complaint (yes, just the one) is I feel like Ai was mishandled when she was first introduced. Other than that, I have nothing but love for this series. <3 |

I really didn't like this one, truth be told. I find the manga itself far too slow and meandering so when you give me an adaptation and expect me to enjoy it, you're just asking me to get irritated. I find the idea of any romance between Negi and his class fundamentally wrong (which is why I think the class rep, Yue, and Nokoda are pedophiles). The only episode I really liked was the ghost girl's one, I found it very sweet and it's actually a better take than the original source material did. As for the story, I didn't see the point of Asuna dying if they were just going to bring her back to life three episodes later. The whole thing with Negi's class doing pacts with him was kind of cool but really corny at the same time. In all, I'd probably watch this again but I would definitely skip over a lot of episodes to save my sanity. |

The wizards' Kaguya power reminded me of the Heero Hole (stick whatever the hell you want in it and pull it out anytime). Nightmare was my favorite character (his way of saying 'dream' is too funny), episodes 6 and 8 struck me as entertaining (then again so was the whole finale). |

I love men who are awkward at showing affection and are quite innocent despite their fishy occupation. ^^ I think Kanou should just use Ayase as a sex toy and be done with it. About the only drawback is the character designs are a bit crap, the proportions alone are ridiculous. Loved the extra bit at the end, the story needed a lot more comedy in it. |

I was really intrigued with this anime, the premise was interesting, as were the protagonists. The BL romance was a tad forced at times, especially during the dancing scene. I also didn't get the random singing bits, they just came out of nowhere. The ending itself was a clusterfuck, including a manufactured apocalypse, nature bee god, and deus ex machina resurrection. It all fell apart in my opinion. I'm curious if the source material is any better...overall, despite my complaints, I liked the series, but it definitely has flaws, deep flaws. |

I don't actually mind Oda's old art style so while I appreciate the updated animation, this special only really exists to acknowledge the series' 20th anniversary. As a shortened version of the five character's pasts, it's a little disappointing in terms of drama. The continuity is all off (little details like Nami's bandaged hand, Zoro's wounds, and Zeff's cannibalism aren't present), which bugged me a bit. If I want to see the crew's pasts, I'd just rewatch the series again than this condensed version. So, okay, but other than the smoother animation, nothing special. |

I'd already seen most of it in the TV series itself. I wish the special had focused on Sabo's times with Dragon instead. I did enjoy the extended fight scenes in the coliseum though. In all, it's not bad yet it could have been so much better. |

Seeing the crew basically flip the game on Tesoro was so satisfying and Lucci and Sabo's battle a neat treat (though short). I'm quite glad I saw this on the big screen as I would have missed out on the awesomeness. Viva 1p! ^_^ |

Bullet just seemed like a generic villain, offering nothing new in characterization. Honestly, the entire movie was like a love letter to the franchise and given it was made to mark the series 20th anniversary, it did its job very well. Well worth venturing out into the cold October weather to to see in theaters on the big screen. ^_^ |

Finally, Robin shows up (I rather like her character), and the Going Merry crew is involved in a race, which of course, leads them onto a conflict that Luffy resolves by beating the bad guy up. As genetic as it sounds, it's really good. ^_^ |

Sigh. Where to start? It's a reimagining of Chopper's intro to the crew, and they changed soooo much. No Vivi (Robin is her stand-in), no Going Merry, there's suddenly snowmobiles, and Luffy can use his Gear modes. The two things that pissed me off the most though? Wapol having a brother who represented a greater threat than him, and Chopper's role having been lessened to almost a footnote IN HIS OWN FUCKING MOVIE! WTF were the writers were thinking? Despite my complaints, I did like some things in this film, but not much. Animation was a step-up from the TV version, and I did think the gang working together in the finale was nice. |

Naho was so annoying, I wanted to slap her sometimes. I applauded the realistic depiction of suicide and depression, but I much preferred Suwa to Kakeru. He was the unsung fucking hero of the anime for me. It made me a bit sad he had to sacrifice his happily ever after so Kakeru could live. Have better taste, Naho! Ending was okay, but did nothing to endear the anime to me. It gets a Good rating for the premise, genuine sensitivity regarding depression/suicide, and Suwa only. The rest? Meh. |

I've been wanting to watch these films ever since they were announced. It was definitely worth the long wait, as the special effects and acting were quite good. Certain characters/subplots were cut out for time and simplicity, but most of the story remained intact. About the only misstep was the radioactive waste faculity fight (what was wrong with regular poison?), and Satomi's beefed up role as a love interest (I really needed more time for the relationship to develop). I absolutely loved the fact part of Shinichi's mother survived being taken over, and that Satomi thanked Migi for the impromptu rescue in the last scene. Given we never saw Mr. Serial Killer again, I have to assume he lives to kill another day. :p In all, fantastic LA adapations, which I'm glad exist. ^^ |

I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to this series, having read the manga multiple times. I don't like all the added stuff, but for the most part it followed the source material really well. I wasn't disappointed by the series in the end, and thought the voice casting was great (Migi in particular). Madhouse's animation was fucking exquisite even if they had to tone down a lot of the gore in the fight/death scenes. I swear my little geek heart skipped a beat everytime a parasite transformed. ^_^ |

Beyond the fact I don't really think the series needed a reboot, it's not terrible (I guess...). I fucking hate the CGI transformations, and Usagi's seiyuu seems to have gone shrill crazy. I do appreciate the updated character designs, and the more faithful adaptation of the manga yet the animation is sooo bad, it's rare when something doesn't look awkward. The first half is okay, but honestly by following the source material so closely, the anime comes off as stilted and boring to watch. I have a hard time mantaining interest, and SM is what got me into anime in the first place. I feel terrible saying it though that makes it no less true: I'll probably always prefer the original 90's series. The numerous filler episodes made the admittedly predictable story much better. |

Let's hope they make the next season more interesting than the 90s anime ever did... |

The second half of the series was really well-written, I didn't expect Isshin to die or the father to get a free pass in the end (due to his nature). I would love to read the novels someday because I'm sure some plot points weren't covered in the anime, and much of the story was super interesting. |

The character designs bugged me a bit (everyone looks like a smushed midget), but the dark deconstruction of magical girl tropes was very interesting (and surprisingly dark). I do think that doom and gloom atmosphere was a bit much at times (Sayaka's corruption seemed abrupt and Kyoko's full on personality turn towards the finale was sort of WTF-ish). I suppose the ending fit the mood of the anime, though Madoka didn't exactly save the world, just a small selection of girls who fell to Kyubey's manipulations. I absolutely loved Homura, her plight and character arc actually made me cry a few times, it was so heartfelt. She's the only reason I would buy this if I found it at a reasonable price (don't be dicks, Aniplex -_- ). I don't think the series is a masterpiece by any means, as the animation could be lackluster and the music repeated itself way too much, but I'll admit the anime turned the magical girl genre on its head and is worth seeing once. |

Huh?!), I liked the mythology of Akio & Anthy's backstory, as well as the overall finale. Dislikes, however, were the purposely vague answers in some situations where it wouldn't have been hard to explain, the utter lack of variety in fights, and the way the series turned soap-opera-like near the end (Akio, sigh). However, Touga, for a dead man, gets around a lot. :p |

The third series, and by way of plot, they follow the the 'Reload' manga, which is good until you reach volume 4 of the series. From there, filler and a really weak/lame storyline take over. Hazel was made out to be the big bad when he's not like that in the manga (it was easy for him to repent on his actions). I was shaking my head through the last six episodes, complaining to the TV as if it could fix things. I'm massively disappointed with the series, and really wish they would have waited for the manga to end. There was some great story lines to adopt from it. |

Okay, this was a strange series. It's a slow-burn slice-of-life comedy for the first six episodes, then it's a Power Rangers parody dialed up to 11, which then turns to a sentai show, then back to a slice of life comedy. Whiplash in a word. I was down for everything but the sentai plot that went on for four boring-ass episodes. I liked the rest of the show a lot. Goto and Masayoshi's relationship was bit click-baity at times and the animation was pretty shit during key moments. Still, I've always enjoyed superhero shows and Masayoshi's goal at fighting crime at any level, however small, was funny. I really wish I could have a physical copy of the show because the dramatic moments were very well done. So, yeah, in all, I loved the show, even with all its faults. It won me over in the end. ^_^ |

If Weiss Kreuz had been set in Japan's past with more of hentai twist, this anime would have been the result (except Ichimatsu and crew dress tackier whilst on missions :p). It's quite entertaining and the missions vary at times, though the ending confused the hell out of me (the notes in the DVD helped clear it up but still, they couldn't have just said it clear cut?). I loved the outtakes, they were the best part of the show really. |

That's not even mentioning the core argument of the shikis 'I have to kill to live' is fundamentally wrong. Just move onto another victim before they die, it's not that hard. -_-; |

The Guardians at school were amusing, especially the alternative-personality Tadase who wanted to take over the world (hey, I'd support him if I wasn't already planning to do it myself). There is a TON of filler with a notable formula that does get annoying especially towards the middle and last of the season. |

Why Betty?! ;_; Also I apparently am the big baddie in the series though when I turned into a boy I have no idea. :p So not bad (when it follows the manga), but if I ever rewatch this, I'm skipping the majority of the series because most of it is unneeded fluff. |

It does get bogged down in the intricacies of the daily running of a bookstore, which does get boring at times. Still, it was a short half-funny anime I'm glad I gave a chance. |

Talk about reaping what you sew, if Kagura hadn't converted those club members into Euphorians, she wouldn't have had so much trouble escaping (and Saiga wouldn't have had to go blind protecting her -_- ). I felt sorry for Saiga the most, he had a power forced upon him and had to use it all up (despite that, I liked the ending, seemed true to Saiga's character). Probably one of the darkest stories I've seen yet (all that sexuality and fetishes)...yes, I know it has flaws (see: inconsistent animation, story holes) but I really liked it and that's all that counts. I wonder what form my deepest dark desire would be if I encountered Kagura? |

However, I think I had the same issues with the manga, so not too surprising my opinion would remain the same. In any case, I'm glad to finally finish it. |

My most immediate thought though is, how could they kill Sanji? You assholes! |

Admittedly, if I were in Kojou's place, I'd be feeding on all my friends, guys and girls alike, to get more familiars. ^^; It's nice the series had various arcs instead of one-shot episodes. Only irritating thing was how quickly blame was placed on Kojou in 'perverted' situations when it's truly not his fault. Other annoying bit was lack of explantation on who it was that kept possessing Kojou's sister and how exactly Kojou got his powers to begin with. Light novels here I come? |

For those who don't want to watch through ten seasons, this is an summary of the series (for the first two years at least). True, some characters have been vastly changed (John Winchester is not bald), and some of the changes in story are a bit weird, but I did enjoy seeing the back stories of Jake and Lily. Some of the original episodes were pretty good and funny. My one and only complaint is the fact Sam's powers are pretty straightforward, he gets visions and nothing else. So why the sudden telekinesis and glowing sphere of energy? It doesn't make sense. In all, I'd welcome another season of the anime. ^_^ |

The fight scenes were very creative and so pretty to watch and the animation was quite good as well. Characters were diverse and really felt like they had a personality of their own (Nanashi in particular), I even liked Kotarou (which is odd since I usually hate kids). I'd definitely buy this if it got released on DVD stateside. |

It seemed like everyone kept wandering around for way too long, doing unimportant things that did not relate to the plot (also no one answered the question about Earthsea's balance becoming worse, the girl transformed into a dragon, the villain defeated and everyone was happy, the end). I enjoyed the animated dragons the best...oh, a tip if you're ever going to visit Earthsea, do not tell anyone your true name, otherwise you'll make little baby dragons everywhere you go. Hmm, doesn't sound so bad... |

Talk about unexpected. I loved the show's dry sardonic sense of humor, that more than anything else made me laugh the hardest. Tanaka himself was amusing as was his friend Ohta, the supporting characters made up the meat of the show (for reactions mostly). Imagine my surprise when a yuri couple was introduced in the third episode (and it's damn sweet)! Tanaka is sort of my spirit animal, in that I want to avoid hardships as much as I can. Wish I had his level of talent for it. In all, a fucking great anime I'm glad to have seen. May I please have a physical release for it and the manga now? ^_^ |

Poor guy just can't get a break. I ended up really loving this series in the end and look forward to the next season, even if it's non-canonical. |

Okay, I let a whole day go by after finishing the series because I needed to get my thoughts together. Some of the good things about the anime were the further development of supporting players (members of the CCG, etc), an intense journey for Kaneki as he tries to regain his humanity after falling so hard, the plot advancement of the main story, and some of the animation was so fucking beautiful. Unfortunately, the bad may outweigh the good because the ending is a bit shit (one run-on scene that went on for seven fucking minutes), deaths are not definitive (are Amon/Yoshimura/Shinohara/Hide alive? Just tell me already instead of being vague about it!), and honestly the focus on some of the CCG officers bored me to tears (Juzo and what's-his-face-who was afraid to die most especially). I missed the people in the ghoul community, which I suppose was the point (in that, you got to see the other side of the ongoing conflict), but still it was really annoying. So, yeah, I guess I enjoyed watching it, yet it is deeply flawed in places. I'm not sure if that's because the writer was trying to stuff too much of the source material into twelve episodes or what, but the pacing needed serious work. I'd totally watch another season of the series, if only to see how Kaneki gets out of his predicament in the finale (i.e. how does he end up working at the CCG in "Re"?). I guess that's something at least. |

I'll finish up the second season just to see how the triangle between Kaname (don't like him), Yuuki (grow some brains, girl!), and Zero (who I love) resolves (let's see threesome!). |

1. For anyone who hasn't read the manga, I imagine this makes for a confusing watch. It's very fast paced and the characters are given next to no character development other than their respective roles in the story. It was beautifully animated though (go Production IG!). I also thought that the seiyuu cast was perfect. The short basically covered the first manga chapter, and did it well. I guess I'm just a sucker for hot man on man vampire action hence the somewhat high rating. If the teaser at the end is anything to go by, there might be more on the way eventually. I'd devour it happily. ^_^ |

The cast was interesting and the dancing element mostly well-done. The character designs were different and I didn't notice the giraffe necks after a while. Some of the faces pulled by characters were inadvertently hilarious though. I am fully convinced Hyodo is in love with Tatara given how focused Hyodo is on the guy. Let the BL shine through! :p Overall, a good series despite what others may think. Just don't take it too seriously. |

However, the reason behind the group's powers was clumsily handled. They may have well not even have powers since they didn't come into play very often in the series. So many missed comedic chances. Still, it was a nice slice of life anime with something extra to punch up the story (even if it didn't always work). I imagine the light novels explain some things better...like The Fairy War. ^^; |

I'm also a bit confused on why the police were after Jiro at one point, he hadn't done anything. The romance seemed tacked on, doing nothing to further the story at all. If this really is Miyazaki's last film, he definitely went out on a whimper instead of a bang. |

A Witchblade wielder whose entire identity hinges on being a mother. Barf. She tries once to find out about her past then gives up for no reason. The "limits" of the Witchblade were also annoying since being the original, you'd think it'd be all powerful with no flaws. Nope, the Witchblade wielder dies in the same matter as the pretenders. The two bright spots for me were Takayama's character arc, which was really well done and the second form the Witchblade took was damn pretty. That is all. Stop fucking up good comics, Japan! You're pissing me off. -_- |

Do Japanese people really just toss dead animals into the trash compactor like that? Is no one going to question Ame's disappearance? He was only ten years old! I also didn't like that Yuki had to discard her wild side to fit in at school. The mother Hana was just a little too perfect for me. If she'd been humanized a bit more, showing actual frustration at her kids' antics, I would've probably liked her more. The idea of the story was more compelling than the actual execution of it. In all, I'd watch this again, but fast-forward through the boring bits. |

Given Logan is my favorite Marvel character, he really deserved better representation. At least give him something else to do besides save his girl. |

Really damn pretty, like ridiculously so. After hearing so much hype about it, I don't know if the movie deserved it. The story, such as it was, bugged me a few times with its oh so convenient amnesia of the main characters. They got together in the end, but damn did it take a long time. You'd think they would have remembered switching bodies with someone of the opposite gender. That kind of thing would leave an indelible mark in my memory. So, yeah, a nice heartwarming movie, yet not perfect by any means. Also, as a girl, I would've experimented with Taki's dick a lot more. :p |

I think Yugo walks around with a sign on his back saying 'please torture me.' Maybe the manga's different, but the guy suffers through each assignment he takes on, and I have to wonder if it's a personality flaw of his to take on the most dangerous difficult situations he can. I mean, I enjoyed watching him pull a win out of his ass in different settings. It's clear a lot of work went into making the anime as close to real as it could get. Different fare but enjoyable, if a tad taxing. |

It was okay, neither impressive nor disappointing. Really, it was just something to watch. I have to say I was disgusted with that little animal who poops dreams. That's just sickening and insulting to dreams themselves. I guess I really didn't understand the point of the story (appreciating what you have maybe?). |

I. Love. This. <3 As usual, though I don't care for it in real life, figure skating is fascinating in anime form. The BL helped a lot, but honestly, the show was so fucking fun to watch and damn well written. It was an absolutely joyful series and made no bones about it. I need more YOI in my life, the sequel can't come soon enough in my opinion. ^_^ |

Pretty animation (then again, it's GONZO so that's to be expected). The story was okay, not too impressionable really, but in all it wasn't that horrible. I just wish Sanji (i.e. Hirata Hiroaki) hadn't been turned into a monster. |

A fairly good adaptation that was entertaining, I especially enjoyed the animation, it was bright, popped, and the fighting effects were well done. Sort of wish they'd gone into more detail about Shito and Shiba yet I know the manga was still ongoing at the time the anime was made so it was impossible. The music, that opening was just so out of place... |
